<p>A fresh leak today revealed the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/06/04/xiaomi-18-pro-max-camera-system-fully-detailed-in-new-leak/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">rear camera specs of the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max</a>. The device is rumored to feature a 200MP main and a 200MP telephoto lens. Alongside these camera modules will be a display that Xiaomi first introduced with the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Pro Max. This has <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/03/xiaomi-18-pro-max-rear-display-ai-leak/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">already been confirmed</a>.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A Weibo tipster known as <em>Smart Pikachu</em> has now revealed details about the rear display on the Xiaomi 18 Pro models, and the specifications sound promising.</p>

<p>According to the leak, the Xiaomi 18 Pro will feature a 4-inch rear display, a massive jump from the 2.7-inch secondary screen found on the Xiaomi 17 Pro.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="249" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Xiaomi-18-Pro-rear-screen.jpg?x44794" alt="Xiaomi 18 Pro rear screen" class="wp-image-740948" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Xiaomi-18-Pro-rear-screen.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Xiaomi-18-Pro-rear-screen-300x83.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Xiaomi-18-Pro-rear-screen-768x212.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Xiaomi-18-Pro-rear-screen-696x193.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<h2><strong>Xiaomi 18 Pro&#8217;s rear screen will be a serious upgrade</strong></h2>

<p>That alone would be a significant upgrade, but the tipster goes further, claiming the display will offer high brightness, a high pixel density (PPI), large rounded corners, and built-in privacy protection.</p>

<p>If true, it will be a clear evolution from last year&#8217;s model. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-17-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi 17 Pro</a>&#8216;s rear display measured 2.7 inches and featured a resolution of 572 × 904 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 3,500 nits. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="512" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20250930_164941.855-1024x512.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-709065" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20250930_164941.855-1024x512.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20250930_164941.855-300x150.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20250930_164941.855-768x384.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20250930_164941.855-1536x768.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20250930_164941.855-696x348.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20250930_164941.855-1068x534.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20250930_164941.855-840x420.jpg 840w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20250930_164941.855.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>A 4-inch panel would provide significantly more space for features Xiaomi has already introduced on the current model, including live translation, teleprompter mode, and interactive widgets.</p>

<p>Xiaomi is reportedly evolving the rear display into an AI-powered smart window, enabling more dynamic and context-aware interactions rather than serving as a simple auxiliary screen. A larger, brighter display with improved color accuracy would make that vision far more practical.</p>

<p>The Xiaomi 18 series is expected to launch in September, so there is still some time before we receive official confirmation of its hardware specifications.</p>

<p>The Xiaomi 18 series has pretty much been confirmed to debut as the first smartphones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. The lineup will likely initially feature three devices: the Xiaomi 18, Xiaomi 18 Pro, and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max.</p>

<p>The standard and Pro models are expected to be the compact offering, while the Pro Max edition will serve as the big-screen flagship.</p>

<p>Now, prolific tipster<em> Digital Chat Station </em>has shared fresh exclusive details specifically about the camera hardware of this &#8220;<em>large-screen flagship.</em>&#8220;</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="300" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Xiaomi-18-Pro-200MP-Camera-Leak.jpg?x44794" alt="Xiaomi 18 Pro 200MP Camera Leak" class="wp-image-740879" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Xiaomi-18-Pro-200MP-Camera-Leak.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Xiaomi-18-Pro-200MP-Camera-Leak-300x100.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Xiaomi-18-Pro-200MP-Camera-Leak-768x256.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Xiaomi-18-Pro-200MP-Camera-Leak-696x232.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>According to the leak, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will pack a 200MP main camera with a large 1/1.28-inch sensor. What makes it special is the inclusion of next-generation LOFIC technology, which is said to improve dynamic range, especially in challenging lighting conditions.</p>

<p>Even more interesting is the telephoto setup. The engineering sample reportedly features a 200MP 1/1.56-inch telephoto sensor with a 3x± focal length and an F2.4± aperture. It also supports close-up, telephoto, and macro photography. Crucially, both the sensor and the lens assembly have been completely redesigned from the ground up.</p>

<h2><strong>What we know so far</strong></h2>

<p>According to previous reports, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will feature a<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/20/xiaomi-18-pro-max-snapdragon-8-elite-gen-6-pro-leak/"> 6.9-inch flat display</a>, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset, and a battery capacity of around 8,500mAh with 100W wired fast charging support. It is also likely to offer 50W wireless charging.</p>

<p>On the software side, as a next-generation model, it is expected to ship with HyperOS 4 based on Android 17.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-battery-test-1-1024x576.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-710191" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-battery-test-1-1024x576.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-battery-test-1-300x169.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-battery-test-1-768x432.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-battery-test-1-1536x864.png 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-battery-test-1-696x391.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-battery-test-1-1068x601.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-battery-test-1-747x420.png 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-battery-test-1.png 1691w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>Design-wise, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is expected to<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/03/xiaomi-18-pro-max-rear-display-ai-leak/"> continue the rear-display concept</a> seen in the previous generation, with this secondary screen evolving into an AI-powered smart window that enables more dynamic and context-aware interactions.</p>

<p>The Xiaomi 18 series is expected to launch in <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/06/03/xiaomi-18-vivo-x500-oppo-find-x10-series-september-launch-tipped/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">September 2026</a>.</p>

<p>In September, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi">Xiaomi</a> is expected to unveil the Xiaomi 18 series as the world&#8217;s first smartphones powered by the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 flagship chipset. Today, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station shared a Weibo post revealing key details about the Xiaomi 18 lineup.</p>

<h3><strong>Xiaomi 18 series key details tipped</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="965" height="368" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-25.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-740824" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-25.png 965w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-25-300x114.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-25-768x293.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-25-696x265.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 965px) 100vw, 965px" /></figure>

<p>According to a new post by DCS, Xiaomi&#8217;s next-generation <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-18">Xiaomi 18</a> series is expected to feature a compact flagship model with a display measuring around 6.4 inches. The tipster claims the screen will be close to what many users consider a mid-sized display and will feature a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, large-radius corners, ultra-narrow and symmetrical bezels, and a flat-panel design. The display is also tipped to offer an effective 2K resolution for sharper visuals.</p>

<p>DCS further revealed that the Xiaomi 18 Pro series will debut an exclusive new display technology. In addition to the upgraded screen, the upcoming lineup is said to bring notable improvements in imaging, battery technology, and overall hardware. The tipster specifically mentioned <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/29/xiaomi-18-pro-leak-200mp-cameras-7000mah-battery/">dual 200-megapixel cameras</a> and the use of silicon-carbon battery technology as key upgrades.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="986" height="170" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-26.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-740825" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-26.png 986w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-26-300x52.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-26-768x132.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-26-696x120.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 986px) 100vw, 986px" /></figure>

<p>When asked about battery capacity in the comments section, DCS responded that the battery would begin with the number &#8220;7,&#8221; suggesting a capacity in the 7,000mAh range. While an exact figure was not disclosed, the tipster implied that the battery life should be more than sufficient for most users. This battery is likely to power both the standard Xiaomi 18 and the Pro model, which is also expected to feature a similarly sized display.</p>

<p>Reports have revealed that the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will be the largest model among the three, as it is said to house a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/20/xiaomi-18-pro-max-snapdragon-8-elite-gen-6-pro-leak/">6.9-inch 2K OLED screen</a>. Under the hood, it may feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chip and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/09/xiaomi-18-pro-max-battery-8500mah-leak/">an 8,500mAh battery</a>.</p>

<p>Other reports have revealed that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-18-pro">Xiaomi 18 Pro</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-18-pro-max">Xiaomi 18 Pro Max</a> may continue to feature a rear-facing display, similar to the previous generation. However, the rear display is said to become more versatile than before.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="958" height="224" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-27.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-740826" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-27.png 958w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-27-300x70.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-27-768x180.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-27-696x163.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 958px) 100vw, 958px" /></figure>

<p>Additionally, a recent update from tipster Smart Pikachu claims that Xiaomi is exploring AI-powered desktop experiences for secondary displays, not only on the Xiaomi 18 Pro models but also on the cover screen of Xiaomi&#8217;s next foldable phone, tentatively referred to as the Xiaomi 18 Fold.</p>

<p>The rumor mill is actively leaking details about upcoming flagship phones expected to launch in China from September onward. A fresh leak from popular tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed new details about what is believed to be an upcoming <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi/">Xiaomi</a> 18 series phone. The leak suggests that the device will arrive with several notable upgrades.</p>

<h3><strong>Xiaomi 18 key details tipped</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="395" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-245-1024x395.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-736644" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-245-1024x395.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-245-300x116.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-245-768x296.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-245-1536x592.png 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-245-696x268.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-245-1068x411.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-245-1090x420.png 1090w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-245.png 1547w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>According to the tipster, the engineering prototype of the device is currently in development and could arrive as the only compact flagship phone in its segment to feature both a next-generation 2nm flagship chipset, which appears to be the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite-gen-6-pro">Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6</a>, and dual 200-megapixel cameras backed by large image sensors in its rear camera setup.</p>

<p>The leak further claims that the device may pack a battery capacity starting with “7,” suggesting a battery in the 7,000mAh range with improvements over previous generations. Despite the large battery and advanced camera hardware, Xiaomi is reportedly working on a slim and compact design with a flat display featuring ultra-narrow symmetrical bezels enabled by new LIPO packaging technology. While he has not specified the screen size, it may feature <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/03/17/xiaomi-18-pro-tipped-with-two-200mp-cameras-7000mah-battery-in-a-6-3-inch-body/">a display of around 6.3 inches</a>.</p>

<p>It remains unclear whether the tipster is referring to the standard Xiaomi 18 or the Xiaomi 18 Pro. However, it appears more likely to be the Pro model, as a previous leak from the same source suggested that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/03/03/xiaomi-18-pro-dual-200mp-camera-leak/">18 Pro would feature dual 200-megapixel cameras</a>, whereas the standard model would include a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/02/12/xiaomi-18-series-key-details-leaked/">single 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera</a> in its rear setup.</p>

<p>Xiaomi has launched its flagship phones in September for the past few years. This year as well, the Xiaomi 18 series, which is expected to include the Xiaomi 18, 18 Pro, and 18 Pro Max, may debut in the same month. At present, there is no clarity on the global launch timeframe for these devices.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Xiaomi-18-Pro-render.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-734913" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Xiaomi-18-Pro-render.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Xiaomi-18-Pro-render-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Xiaomi-18-Pro-render-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Xiaomi-18-Pro-render-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Xiaomi-18-Pro-render-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>The more notable addition this generation could be a new physical AI button on the side of the device. According to the leak, this button is designed for quick access to AI-powered features, with support for one-press activation in different contexts. It’s also expected to integrate with Xiaomi’s broader ecosystem, including smart home controls and even compatible electric vehicles.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Xiaomi-18-Pro-AI-Button.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-734914" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Xiaomi-18-Pro-AI-Button.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Xiaomi-18-Pro-AI-Button-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Xiaomi-18-Pro-AI-Button-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Xiaomi-18-Pro-AI-Button-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Xiaomi-18-Pro-AI-Button-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>That ecosystem angle is not new for Xiaomi, but a dedicated hardware shortcut could make those connections more immediate. The report suggests the button will be customizable, allowing users to assign different AI-driven actions depending on their needs.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>The rear display is here to stay</strong></h2>

<p>These renders are still early, and there’s no guarantee the final product will look exactly like this. That said, they line up with previous reports that Xiaomi plans to keep investing in the rear display concept.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Lu Weibing, president of Xiaomi Group, has previously said the company wants to evolve the rear screen from a decorative element into something more functional.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="512" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20250930_164507.354-1024x512.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-709022" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20250930_164507.354-1024x512.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20250930_164507.354-300x150.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20250930_164507.354-768x384.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20250930_164507.354-1536x768.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20250930_164507.354-696x348.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20250930_164507.354-1068x534.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20250930_164507.354-840x420.jpg 840w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-Review_1.mp4_20250930_164507.354.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>On the current model, the rear display already supports features like translation during conversations, a teleprompter mode for video, and even simple interactive widgets. The expectation is that the Xiaomi 18 Pro will possibly turn the rear screen into a more independent interface rather than just an extension of the main display.</p>

<p>On the front, the phone is rumored to feature a relatively compact flat display with a 1.5K resolution. Internally, the Xiaomi 18 Pro is expected to debut with Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship chip, likely the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite-gen-6" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro</a>, built on a 2-nanometer process by TSMC.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi</a>’s upcoming 18 Pro series has been showing up in leaks at a steady pace, and the latest one adds a few more details.</p>

<p>As you might already know, Xiaomi is reportedly working on two Xiaomi 18 Pro models: a smaller Xiaomi 18 Pro and a larger 18 Pro Max.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Xiaomi 18 Pro Specifications (Expected)</strong></h2>

<p>According to prolific tipster <em>Digital Chat Station</em>, the smaller Pro model could feature a battery capacity starting in the “7,000mAh” range, along with support for both 100W wired and wireless charging. In comparison, Xiaomi 17 Pro has a 63000mAh cell. </p>

<p>On the camera side, the report mentions a “dual 200MP” setup, alongside telephoto and macro capabilities. That lines up with earlier rumors, which also pointed to 200MP sensors from SmartSens for the Xiaomi 18 Pro.&nbsp;</p>

<p>These new sensors are also expected to support LOFIC HDR 3.0, a hardware-based approach aimed at improving dynamic range.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="245" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Xiaomi-18-Pro-leak.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-734518" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Xiaomi-18-Pro-leak.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Xiaomi-18-Pro-leak-300x82.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Xiaomi-18-Pro-leak-768x209.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Xiaomi-18-Pro-leak-696x189.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>There’s also talk of modular optics, including magnetic, snap-on lenses. If that actually makes it to the final product, it could give users more flexibility, especially for zoom or more specialized photography.</p>

<p>Performance is expected to come from Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip built on a 2nm process. It is likely to be paired with up to 16GB of RAM.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the larger 18 Pro Max could push battery capacity even further, with prototypes said to be targeting <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/09/xiaomi-18-pro-max-battery-8500mah-leak/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">around 8,500mAh</a>.</p>

<p>The Max model is also expected to retain the secondary rear display introduced last year.</p>

<p>As usual with early leaks, none of this is confirmed, and Xiaomi hasn’t said anything publicly. We’ll keep you updated as more details about the phone start to surface.</p>

<p>A fresh leak out of China suggests<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> Xiaomi </a>could switch from Omnivision camera sensors to SmartSens in the upcoming Xiaomi 18 series.</p>

<p>According to information shared by <em>Digital Chat Station</em> on Weibo, a top-five smartphone brand is planning to use a SmartSens sensor in its next flagship lineup. While the tipster didn’t name the company outright, it’s widely speculated to be the Xiaomi 18 series.</p>

<h2><strong>Xiaomi 18 Pro could feature 200MP SmartSens sensors</strong></h2>

<p>The leak suggests the lineup could feature dual 200-megapixel main cameras with a 1/1.28-inch sensor size. On higher-end models, these sensors are expected to support LOFIC HDR 3.0, which is a hardware-level sensor technology that improves dynamic range.</p>

<p>LOFIC — short for lateral overflow integration capacitor — combines linear and logarithmic charge storage within a single pixel. This should result in more balanced images, especially in high-contrast environments like sunsets or backlit scenes.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-battery-test-1-1024x576.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-710191" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-battery-test-1-1024x576.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-battery-test-1-300x169.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-battery-test-1-768x432.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-battery-test-1-1536x864.png 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-battery-test-1-696x391.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-battery-test-1-1068x601.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-battery-test-1-747x420.png 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Xiaomi-17-Pro-Max-battery-test-1.png 1691w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>Xiaomi has been gradually exploring alternatives to Sony sensors. The company switched from Sony to Omnivision on Xiaomi 17 Pro series, and earlier reports suggest the company is testing other domestic imaging solutions too. So this move wouldn’t be entirely surprising if Xiaomi does so.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Xiaomi 18 Pro models are also said to pair the SmartSens 200MP sensor with experimental modular optics. That could include magnetic, snap-on lenses, which might allow users to attach accessories like telephoto converters directly to the phone.</p>

<p>On the performance side, the devices are expected to run on Qualcomm’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/04/06/snapdragon-8-elite-gen-6-pro-might-not-even-deliver-20-performance-improvement-over-predecessor/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro</a> chip, paired with up to 16GB of RAM, and a battery reportedly reaching 7,000mAh.</p>

<p>None of this is confirmed yet, and of course, Xiaomi hasn’t commented publicly. But the company has hinted it may keep the rear display introduced on the Xiaomi 17 Pro for the Xiaomi 18 Pro.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi">Xiaomi’s</a> next flagship lineup, likely called the Xiaomi 18 series, has started appearing in leaks ahead of its expected September 2026 debut. Early details suggest that the brand is sticking with a familiar design direction while adding deeper AI-driven enhancements to the experience.</p>

<h3><strong>Xiaomi 18 Pro series: Rear display to be more powerful than before</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="276" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-21-1024x276.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-733153" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-21-1024x276.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-21-300x81.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-21-768x207.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-21-696x188.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-21-1068x288.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/image-21.png 1379w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>According to tipster Smart Pikachu, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-18-pro">Xiaomi 18 Pro</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-18-pro-max/">Xiaomi 18 Pro Max</a> are expected to continue with the rear display concept seen in the previous generation. This secondary screen is said to evolve into an AI-powered smart window, enabling more dynamic and context-aware interactions instead of functioning as a simple auxiliary display.</p>

<p>The tipster has also indicated that the Xiaomi 18 series is likely to be unveiled in September, aligning with Xiaomi’s typical flagship launch cycle. Earlier statements from company leadership had already confirmed continued investment in rear display technology, with a focus on improving usability through frequent feature updates.</p>

<p>Existing features such as live translation, video teleprompter tools, and interactive elements are expected to be further refined with stronger AI integration, making the rear panel a more functional part of the device.</p>

<p>On the imaging side, the Pro model is reportedly being tested with a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/03/31/xiaomi-18-pro-max-dual-200mp-camera-leak/">dual 200-megapixel camera setup</a>, covering both the main and telephoto sensors. This could significantly enhance light capture and detail, particularly for zoom photography. Meanwhile, the standard Xiaomi 18 is expected to introduce a periscope telephoto camera, marking a notable upgrade for the base variant.</p>

<p>Performance improvements are also anticipated across the lineup. The Xiaomi 18 series is expected to debut with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite-gen-6">Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6</a> chipset, built on a 2nm process. The Pro and Pro Max versions could feature a more powerful variant of the same chip, along with upgrades to haptics and speaker quality.</p>

<p>In addition, Xiaomi is reportedly testing external optical accessories such as magnetic lenses and clip-on zoom modules, which may further expand the camera capabilities beyond the built-in hardware.</p>

<p>A new leak is adding to the growing pile of early details around <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Xiaomi</a>’s next flagship lineup. According to frequent tipster <em>Digital Chat Station</em>, the upcoming Xiaomi 18 Pro will feature two 200MP cameras alongside a big battery.</p>

<p>In particular, this “small-screen” flagship is said to feature a 200-megapixel main camera paired with a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. Both these lenses are an upgrade from Xiaomi 17 Pro’s 50MP main and telephoto setup. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="328" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Xiaomi-18-Pro-200MP-camera-7000mAh-battery-leak.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-730779" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Xiaomi-18-Pro-200MP-camera-7000mAh-battery-leak.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Xiaomi-18-Pro-200MP-camera-7000mAh-battery-leak-300x109.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Xiaomi-18-Pro-200MP-camera-7000mAh-battery-leak-768x280.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Xiaomi-18-Pro-200MP-camera-7000mAh-battery-leak-696x254.jpg 696w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>The successor is also expected to feature a 7000mAh battery, a slight improvement over the 17 Pro’s 6300mAh cell. And of course, for a flagship, wireless charging is a must.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Apart from this, the leaked prototype is said to include features like IP68/IP69-rated water and dust resistance, and a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.</p>

<h2><strong>Xiaomi 18 Pro could also retain the rear screen</strong></h2>

<p>Perhaps more interesting is the fact that the Xiaomi 18 Pro is also rumored to <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/10/16/xiaomi-18-first-details-leaked/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">retain the rear display </a>alongside the cameras. This would be impressive, if true, given that the company is also using larger camera sensors and a bigger battery. And mind you, this is a 6.3-inch flagship, not your regular 7-inch slab.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="558" height="653" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-71.png?x44794" alt="xiaomi 17 pro" class="wp-image-726523" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-71.png 558w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-71-256x300.png 256w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-71-359x420.png 359w" sizes="(max-width: 558px) 100vw, 558px" /><figcaption>Xiaomi 17 Pro</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Previous leaks have also indicated that the Xiaomi 18 series could be powered by Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship chipset, widely expected to be the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite-gen-6" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6</a>. The lineup may launch in China around September next year, while an Ultra variant could arrive later.</p>

<p>For now, these details remain early and subject to change. But if Xiaomi does move forward with a dual 200MP camera setup and a 7,000mAh-class battery, the Xiaomi 18 Pro could end up being more about refining extremes. We’ll keep you in the loop as more details emerge.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi">Xiaomi</a> is reportedly working on the Xiaomi 18 lineup for the Chinese market. So far, the lineup is expected to include the Xiaomi 18, 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max, and 18 Ultra. The Ultra edition may debut by the end of this year, whereas the other three models may go official <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/02/11/xiaomi-18-vivo-x500-september-launch-snapdragon-8-elite-gen-6-dimensity-9600/">in September in China</a>. A new leak, courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station, has revealed that the entire lineup will feature a 200-megapixel camera.</p>

<h3><strong>Xiaomi 18’s entire lineup to feature 200MP camer</strong>as</h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="975" height="218" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-19.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-729314" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-19.png 975w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-19-300x67.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-19-768x172.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/image-19-696x156.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 975px) 100vw, 975px" /></figure>

<p>The new leak suggests that the current engineering samples of the entire Xiaomi 18 series are equipped with a 200-megapixel camera backed by a large 1/1.28-inch sensor. The tipster added that this generation is said to feature a dual 200-megapixel imaging system, described internally as a landmark upgrade for the brand’s camera capabilities.</p>

<p>As per previous reports, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-18-pro">Xiaomi 18 Pro</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-18-pro-max/">18 Pro Max</a> may both sport <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/02/09/xiaomi-18-pro-18-pro-max-dual-200-megapixel-camera-leak/">dual 200-megapixel cameras</a> in their rear setup. These could be used for the primary and periscope telephoto cameras.</p>

<p>The standard <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-17">Xiaomi 17</a> has a telephoto camera in its rear camera setup. However, rumors surrounding the Xiaomi 18 suggest that it will be equipped with a periscope telephoto camera. Related rumors also suggest that the Xiaomi 18’s periscope telephoto camera will feature a 200-megapixel sensor.</p>

<p>Speaking of the standard <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-18/">Xiaomi 18</a>, it may arrive with a slight increase in display size, reaching 6.4 inches compared to 6.3 inches on the Xiaomi 17. As far as the chipset is concerned, the Xiaomi 18, 18 Pro, and 18 Pro Max are all expected to feature the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite-gen-6">Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6</a> chip. Likely, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-18-ultra/">Xiaomi 18 Ultra</a> could be equipped with the more powerful <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite-gen-6-pro">Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro</a> SoC.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi">Xiaomi</a> is expected to unveil the Xiaomi 18 series in <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/02/11/xiaomi-18-vivo-x500-september-launch-snapdragon-8-elite-gen-6-dimensity-9600/">September in China</a>. Initially, the lineup may include the Xiaomi 18, 18 Pro, and 18 Pro Max, followed by the Xiaomi 18 Ultra’s launch by the end of the year. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station shared a Weibo post revealing key details about the Xiaomi 18.</p>

<h3><strong>Xiaomi 18 key details tipped</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="280" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-82-1024x280.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-726729" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-82-1024x280.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-82-300x82.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-82-768x210.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-82-696x190.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-82-1068x292.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-82.png 1170w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Xiaomi 18 series leak by DCS</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>To recall, the Xiaomi 17 and 17 Pro are compact flagship phones equipped with a 6.3-inch display. DCS’s latest leak suggests that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-18/">Xiaomi 18’s</a> display size may slightly increase to 6.4 inches while still retaining a compact form factor. It is likely that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-18-pro/">Xiaomi 18 Pro</a> may also feature a 6.4-inch display. The inclusion of a larger screen could allow Xiaomi to incorporate more advanced components inside.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/01/20/xiaomi-18-series-leak-periscope-camera-upgrades/">Past reports have claimed</a> that the Xiaomi 18 will finally receive a periscope telephoto camera, which would be a major upgrade since its predecessor features a standard telephoto camera. The new leak reveals that not only the Xiaomi 18, but also other models in the series, such as the 18 Pro, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-18-pro-max/">18 Pro Max</a>, and 18 Ultra, may all feature a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.</p>

<p>The tipster has previously claimed that the Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max will feature <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/02/09/xiaomi-18-pro-18-pro-max-dual-200-megapixel-camera-leak/">dual 200-megapixel cameras</a>, possibly for the primary and periscope telephoto sensors. Speaking of the Pro models, these devices are expected to retain a rear-facing secondary display, but it may be <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/10/16/xiaomi-18-first-details-leaked/">more versatile than before</a>.</p>

<p>Moving to the chipset department, early reports suggest that the Xiaomi 18, 18 Pro, and 18 Pro Max may feature the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite-gen-6">Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6</a>. Xiaomi may reserve the more advanced and costlier <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite-gen-6-pro">Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro</a> for the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-18-ultra/">Xiaomi 18 Ultra</a>.</p>

<p>According to tipster Digital Chat Station, new smartphones powered by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite-gen-6">Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6</a> series and the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dimensity-9600">MediaTek Dimensity 9600</a> series are currently scheduled for a September debut. Interestingly, the tip suggests that brands planning to introduce these next-generation chipsets are preparing to offer three versions as standard practice, namely a regular model, a Pro variant, and a Pro Max edition.</p>

<p>To recall, the Xiaomi 17 lineup, which debuted in September 2025, included three models: <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-17">Xiaomi 17</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-17-pro">17 Pro</a>, and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-17-pro">17 Pro Max</a>. These models are likely to be succeeded by the Xiaomi 18, 18 Pro, and 18 Pro Max in the same month this year.</p>

<p>While Vivo announced the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x300">Vivo X300</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/vivo-x300-pro">X300 Pro</a> in September last year, it appears that this year’s lineup may launch earlier and is likely to include three models, such as the Vivo X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max. Rumors suggest that the X400 branding may be skipped, as the number 4 is considered an unlucky number in some Asian countries.</p>

<p>Readers should note that the tipster has not specified any device names in the leak. The Oppo Find X10 series is also expected to include the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/02/03/oppo-find-x10-series-chipset-leak/">Find X10, X10 Pro, and X10 Pro Max</a> powered by the Dimensity 9600. So, it remains unclear whether the tipster was referring to Oppo or Vivo as the other brand alongside Xiaomi. However, in recent years, Vivo has often been the first brand to launch MediaTek’s latest flagship chipsets, so the second brand mentioned in the leak could be Vivo. Readers are advised to treat this information cautiously.</p>

<p>In today’s leak, DCS also cautions that the company expected to debut the new chip in September is unlikely to ship its device with the SM8975, also referred to as the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite-gen-6-pro">Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro</a>, as a standard configuration. The reason cited is the extremely high cost of the 2nm chipset, which could significantly impact pricing.</p>

<p>Here, the tipster may be suggesting that Xiaomi will not launch a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro-powered phone in September. Previous leaks have claimed that this chip is designed for ultra-premium devices and is likely to power the Xiaomi 18 Ultra, which may debut by the end of this year in China.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/xiaomi/">Xiaomi</a> is reportedly preparing its next-generation flagship lineup, with early leaks hinting at significant hardware changes for the Xiaomi 18 series. A new leak suggests that imaging capabilities could receive a notable upgrade, particularly for the Pro variants. At present, a 200-megapixel camera is only limited to the Ultra variant, but the new leak reveals that even Pro models will come equipped with it.</p>

<h3><strong>Xiaomi 18 Pro series could feature 200-megapixel cameras</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="964" height="189" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-47.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-726261" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-47.png 964w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-47-300x59.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-47-768x151.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/image-47-696x136.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 964px) 100vw, 964px" /></figure>

<p>According to well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, an upcoming Xiaomi flagship phone equipped with a 6.3-inch display and dual 200-megapixel cameras is in the works. While it appears to be a Xiaomi leak, he has not specified the name of the device.</p>

<p>Based on Xiaomi’s current lineup strategy, both the standard <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-18">Xiaomi 18</a> and the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-18-pro">Xiaomi 18 Pro</a> are expected to retain a compact form factor like the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-17">Xiaomi 17</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-17-pro">17 Pro</a>. However, major camera enhancements are likely to be reserved for the Pro model. Hence, it can be assumed that the Xiaomi 18 Pro may feature dual 200-megapixel cameras, as per the new leak.</p>

<p>There’s a possibility that Xiaomi may continue mirroring hardware between Pro and Pro Max variants. Similar to how the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max share siimlar camera systems, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max may offer the same dual 200-megapixel setup while differentiating itself with different camera sensors, a larger display, and higher battery capacity. A 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens is also expected to complement the main sensors. Both the Xiaomi 18 Pro and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-18-pro-max">18 Pro Max</a> feature a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/10/16/xiaomi-18-first-details-leaked/">more versatile secondary display</a> on the back.</p>

<p>DCS has previously claimed that the standard Xiaomi 18 could <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2026/01/20/xiaomi-18-series-leak-periscope-camera-upgrades/">finally introduce a periscope telephoto camera</a>, replacing the existing telephoto unit with improved optical zoom capabilities.</p>

<p>Across the lineup, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite-gen-6">Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6</a> chipset is rumored to power Xiaomi 18, 18 Pro, and 18 Pro Max, while the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-18-ultra">Xiaomi 18 Ultra</a> may adopt a higher-tier <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-8-elite-gen-6-pro">Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro</a> variant. The Xiaomi 18 series is expected to debut in China around September, with the Ultra model potentially arriving later in the year.</p>

<p>Xiaomi is currently gearing up to launch the Xiaomi 17 and 17 Ultra globally. Reports have claimed that the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max will remain exclusive to the Chinese market. Therefore, there is no clarity on whether Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max will be released globally.</p>
