While September is typically focused on iPhone launches, many Android brands are preparing to steal the spotlight by throwing in their best hardware into the same four-week window. More than 20 phones are expected to launch this month alone, but in this article, we’ll focus on the 5 best launches of September 2026.

1. iPhone 18 Pro series and iPhone Ultra

Launch date: September 9, 2026 (confirmed)

Apple’s biggest event of the year is set for September 9, and this one will be a lot different. There won’t be a base iPhone 18, but Apple could unveil its first foldable phone, rumored to be called the iPhone Ultra.

The iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max will be unveiled at the event, featuring the new A20 Pro chip, built using TSMC’s 2nm process and Apple’s own C2 modem instead of a Qualcomm modem. Camera upgrades may include a variable-aperture main sensor, a brighter telephoto camera, and a new 12MP selfie camera.

The upcoming Pro models could have a smaller Dynamic Island, as Face ID components have reportedly been moved further under the display. The Pro Max model’s battery capacity could jump to 5500mAh.

iPhone Ultra

The bigger story is Apple’s entering the foldable market with iPhone Ultra or whatever the company names it. It’s expected to launch alongside the iPhone 18 Pro models, reportedly featuring a 7.3-inch inner screen and a 5.3-inch cover screen. The device could use Touch ID built into the power button, and may skip a telephoto lens on the dual rear camera setup.

2. Oppo Find X10 series

Launch date: September 2026 (confirmed)

The Oppo Find X10 series is coming to China this month with significant upgrades. There’ll be a new Find X10 Pro Max, alongside the standard Find X10 and Find X10 Pro, while the Ultra model is rumored to launch early next year.

The camera will be the major focus for the Find X10 series, as the Pro Max model is confirmed to feature three 200MP sensors. The standard and Pro models could use two 200MP sensors. The lineup focuses on realistic and natural image rendering rather than artificial perfection.

The Find X9 Pro is likely to feature the new Dimensity 9600 chip and 8000mAh battery, while the Pro Max variant may feature a more capable Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset and an even bigger 8500mAh battery.

3. Vivo X500 series

Launch date: September 2026 (confirmed)

The Vivo X500 lineup is confirmed to launch in China this month, featuring three models: Vivo X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max. All three phones will have Zeiss-tuned cameras, while the Pro and Pro Max models will get upgraded telephoto cameras with improved autofocus and subject tracking.

The X500 lineup also strongly focuses on the camera, and will directly compete with the Oppo’s Find X10 series. The Vivo X500 Pro Max is confirmed to have a 200MP Zeiss APO super telephoto camera with 4x in-sensor zoom, while the X500 Pro will bring a 64MP Zeiss APO telephoto camera with an 85mm focal length.

The X500 series reportedly supports 4K recording at up to 240 fps and 4K HDR recording at 120 fps. Later on, Vivo could also unveil the X500 Ultra and X500e, although no official confirmation has been made.

4. iQOO 16

Launch date: September 2026 (expected)

The iQOO 16 could launch in China this month. Unlike those from Oppo and Vivo on the list, iQOO phones are highly performance-focused and come with a Qualcomm chip instead. The upcoming iQOO 16 could feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro.

While performance is the major focus here, the iQOO 16 still brings notable camera upgrades. The main sensor is now bigger (1/1.3-inch) and features a larger aperture of f/1.68. The selfie camera has reportedly been upgraded to 50MP. The iQOO 16 is expected to come with a larger battery (>7000mAh) and fast charging above 100W.

5. Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Fold

Launch date: September 2026 (confirmed)

Xiaomi will hold multiple launch events in China this month. The first one will be held on September 7, where the company will unveil the Xiaomi 18 Fold featuring the company’s newest Xring O3 chip, paired with next-generation LPDDR6 RAM.

The device will reportedly offer a 7.6-inch foldable screen, a 6000mAh battery, 67W wired charging, and 50W wireless charging. It could feature a  200MP primary camera.

Later this month, the brand will launch the Xiaomi 18 Pro series in China. The Pro models could be among the first smartphones to ship with Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chip. Both models could offer dual 200MP rear cameras and 100W fast charging support.

The post Top 5 upcoming smartphone launches in September 2026 appeared first on Gizmochina.

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun says September will be a “big month” for the company as new products are lined up one after another.

According to Lei, the month will begin with the launch of Xiaomi SkyNomad, a family-focused SUV lineup built on the Kunlun platform. The Xiaomi 18 Fold is confirmed to tag along, too. And while Lei doesn’t mention it, it’s likely that we will also see the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max launching at the same event. The latter two are powered by Xiaomi’s new XRING O3 chip.

The XRING O3 has already made some big claims. It reportedly scored 5.22 million points on AnTuTu, making it the first smartphone chip to cross the 5 million mark. The chip uses a 3nm process and packs 24 billion transistors into a 133mm² design, which is 26% larger than the previous XRING O1.

Its 10-core CPU also scored more than 15,000 points in multi-core testing. And Xiaomi’s new G2-Ultra NX GPU is said to deliver 85% better graphics performance while using 64% less power.

Xiaomi 18 Pro Brings a New Snapdragon Chip

The Xiaomi 18 Pro series will arrive toward the end of September. Its biggest upgrade is expected to be the sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip. Unlike O3, the Gen 6 will use a newer 2nm process.

The previous generation used a 3nm process, so the move to 2nm is expected to increase transistor density by around 30%. That could bring better performance, lower power use, and more stable performance during longer periods of heavy use.

The Xiaomi 18 Pro series is also expected to support 100W wired charging, the N79 5G band, and UWB connectivity.

With the Sky Nomad SUVs, Xiaomi’s first foldable phone, and the Xiaomi 18 Pro series all arriving in the same month, September is sure to be the company’s busiest launch period this year.

The post Xiaomi CEO Confirms Separate Launches for Xiaomi 18 Fold and 18 Pro appeared first on Gizmochina.

Xiaomi appears to be preparing its next major flagship launch, with the Xiaomi 18 Pro series now moving closer to its expected debut. The latest development has revealed some key connectivity and charging details, while more hardware upgrades are also expected.

Xiaomi 18 Pro series 3C certified

As can be seen above, Xiaomi smartphones carrying model numbers M154FF and M311AD have received China’s 3C certification, with the listing revealing support for 100W wired charging. It appears that the above-mentioned devices are likely part of the Xiaomi 18 Pro series.

These could be the rumored Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max. The previously seen SRRC certifications for these models have revealed support for the N79 5G band and UWB technology.

The Xiaomi 18 Pro series is expected to arrive as the first phones powered by Qualcomm’s next-generation 2nm flagship chipset, reportedly called the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. The new processor is expected to bring improvements in performance and power efficiency, with the 2nm manufacturing process offering a higher transistor density than the current 3nm generation.

The Xiaomi 18 Pro is expected to feature a 200-megapixel main camera paired with a 200-megapixel telephoto macro camera. The Pro Max could go a step further with a 200-megapixel LOFIC main sensor alongside another 200-megapixel telephoto macro camera and an ultrawide camera.

The larger model is also tipped to pack an 8000mAh-class battery. Like the previous-generation models, the Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max are expected to feature a rear display, which will be more versatile than before.

The Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max are expected to launch in September, while the standard Xiaomi 18 may arrive later in December. Xiaomi has not officially confirmed the launch date or specifications yet.

The post Xiaomi 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max receive 3C certification, fast charging speed revealed appeared first on Gizmochina.

The Xiaomi 18 series won’t launch together this year. According to the latest tip from Digital Chat Station, the standard Xiaomi 18 will land in December, well after its Pro siblings. For comparison, Xiaomi has so far launched all its flagship phones at the same event.

You can already see this pattern playing out elsewhere in Xiaomi’s lineup. For instance, the company launched the Redmi K100 Pro series first, while the standard model is held back for a later date. Spacing out releases this way means each phone gets its own moment in the spotlight, instead of competing for attention on the same day.

As for the Xiaomi 18 Pro, expect it in September. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit is scheduled from September 22 to 24, where the company will officially reveal the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. According to reports, Xiaomi will launch the 18 Pro phones with this chip on September 28 or 29.

What we know so far

The whole Xiaomi 18 series is tipped to run on that Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip, built on TSMC’s 2nm process. This should bring a solid jump in both performance and battery efficiency over last year’s chip. You’ll reportedly get five color options: black, white, pink, blue, and red.

The camera setup is where the standard Xiaomi 18 makes its biggest change. It’s expected to drop the 50MP triple-camera setup Xiaomi has used for several generations and switch to a 200MP dual-camera system tuned with Leica.

Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 18 Pro will keep its rear display and add new tricks to it, including a built-in compass, quick access to your WeChat payment code, and a one-tap food delivery pickup code.

As for pricing, the Xiaomi 18 Pro is said to start at 5,499 yuan, about 1,000 yuan more than last year’s starting price, likely due to the cost of the 2nm chip and the upgraded camera system.

None of this is official yet, so treat these numbers and dates as estimates until Xiaomi confirms them.

The post Standard Xiaomi 18 to launch in December only, claims leak appeared first on Gizmochina.

The Redmi Note 17 only just launched in India, and a new leak already lays out what’s coming next. Tipster Abhishek Yadav has shared Xiaomi and Redmi’s India launch plans for the rest of 2026, and the schedule covers three separate launches between September and December.

Redmi 17 and Note 17 Pro Max launch by September

The leak claims that the Redmi 17 series might launch in India on September 5. The line has both 4G and 5G models featuring the same 6.9-inch HD+ LCD with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate.

Both devices pack a 7,500mAh battery with 45W fast charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging. The camera specs include a 50-megapixel AI dual rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

The two phones differ in chipset. The Redmi 17 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5, while the Redmi 17 (4G) has the Helio G91-Ultra chip.

After the entry-level models, Xiaomi is expected to launch the Redmi Note 17 Pro series on either September 18 or 20. That’s a few weeks after the standard Redmi Note 17 launched in India with an 8,000mAh battery, a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chip, and a 120Hz AMOLED display starting around Rs 24,999.

Xiaomi 18 Pro series by December

The leak also suggests an India launch for the Xiaomi 18 Pro series by December. It’s expected to include a secondary display on the back, a feature carried over from the previous generation.

According to reports, the Xiaomi 18 Pro’s rear display could grow in size compared to the Xiaomi 17 Pro, along with dual 200-megapixel cameras and a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip.

None of this is official yet, so treat the dates as estimates until Xiaomi confirms them closer to each launch.

The post Xiaomi 18 Pro launch timeframe leaks for India; it’s coming with rear display appeared first on Gizmochina.

A new Xiaomi 18 series phone has shown up on China’s SRRC network certification database, adding fresh evidence that the lineup’s launch is getting closer. Tipster Digital Chat Station shared the update today, revealing the device carries model number M154FF.

The listing shows the phone supports the N79 5G band along with UWB (ultra-wideband) technology. UWB support usually points to a higher-tier model, so the tipster believes this listing likely belongs to the Xiaomi 18 Pro rather than the standard Xiaomi 18.

Xiaomi 18 Pro Specifications

This is not the first time Digital Chat Station has shared details about the device. Earlier this month, the tipster revealed that the Xiaomi 18 Pro is being tested with a 2nm flagship chipset, expected to be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, which should debut in September ahead of the phone’s launch. The same leak described a custom display with an ultra-clear panel, large rounded corners, and slim, even bezels on all four sides.

On the camera front, the Xiaomi 18 Pro is expected to feature a dual 200-megapixel camera setup — 200MP for both the main and telephoto sensors.

The device is also tipped to have a 7,000mAh-class cell that supports 100W wired and wireless charging. The phone may also gain dual stereo speakers and a bigger vibration motor. Xiaomi has also been tipped to bring a Samsung-style privacy display feature to the Pro model.

Xiaomi has not confirmed a launch date for the 18 series yet. For context, the current Xiaomi 17 Pro debuted last September with a 6.3-inch display and a starting price of 4,999 yuan. It was the first phone to ship with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and it packs a 6,300mAh battery, 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, a rear Magic Screen, and a triple 50MP Leica camera system led by a Light Hunter 950L main sensor.

With certification paperwork now surfacing, the Xiaomi 18 series is entering its final testing stages ahead of an expected September unveiling.

The post Xiaomi 18 series spotted on China’s SRRC certification, tips Pro model with UWB support appeared first on Gizmochina.

Multiple reports have claimed that Xiaomi may unveil the Xiaomi 18 Pro series as the first Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6-powered phones in September this year. Recently, tipster Digital Chat Station published a Weibo post revealing the key specifications of the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max. Now, he is back with a new post to share the key details of the smaller Xiaomi 18 Pro.

Xiaomi 18 Pro key specifications tipped

According to the tipster, the Xiaomi 18 Pro engineering prototype is being tested with a 2nm flagship chipset, which is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series, expected to debut in Se,ptember just before the Xiaomi 18 Pro series launch.

The leak further reveals that the Xiaomi 18 Pro will feature a custom ultra-high-resolution flat display with large rounded corners and ultra-slim symmetrical bezels. While he has not mentioned the screen size in this leak, he previously revealed that the device will have a 6.4-inch OLED panel equipped with a Samsung-like Privacy Display feature.

The Xiaomi 18 Pro’s camera setup will comprise a 200-megapixel large-sensor main camera and a 200-megapixel large-sensor periscope telephoto camera with macro support. The setup will be rounded out by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens.

DCS further claims the prototype packs a 7,000mAh-class battery, supports 100W wired fast charging and wireless charging, and may also receive upgrades such as dual stereo speakers, a larger vibration motor, and several additional refinements before launch. The device is also expected to retain the secondary rear display like the previous generation.

The post Xiaomi 18 Pro’s latest leak sums up all its core specs appeared first on Gizmochina.

In September, Xiaomi may unveil the Xiaomi 18 series of flagship phones in China. Last year’s Xiaomi 17 packed a 6.3-inch display, but its successor is said to feature a slightly larger display of around 6.4 inches. It is speculated that the Xiaomi 18 Pro will also come equipped with the same-sized display but will pack better cameras than the standard Xiaomi 18. Now, in a new Weibo post, tipster Digital Chat Station has seemingly shared more details about what appears to be the Pro edition.

Xiaomi 18 Pro key details tipped

As per the leak, the Xiaomi 18 Pro may bring several flagship-grade upgrades despite not featuring the same display technology as its larger sibling, which appears to be the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max. The tipster claims the phone will offer the same ultra-clear display and ultra-narrow, symmetrical bezels. For security, it will have an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.

The device will be powered by a 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6-series flagship chipset and a larger battery, with support for 100W wired and wireless charging. It will feature a dual 200-megapixel camera system, with at least one camera using an ultra-large image sensor. It will have a minimalist design and offer top-tier water resistance.

According to previous reports, the Xiaomi 18, 18 Pro, and 18 Pro Max will feature triple rear cameras, with the Pro models offering dual 200-megapixel cameras, while the standard model will have a single 200-megapixel camera. Therefore, it appears the above leak pertains to the Xiaomi 18 Pro.

The Xiaomi 18 Pro’s camera setup is said to include a 200-megapixel SmartSens primary camera equipped with LOFIC technology. It could be joined by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.

While the tipster has not mentioned the battery size in today’s leak, the device has previously been said to house a battery of around 7,000mAh. Some reports have also revealed that it will retain the rear display, but it will be more AI-driven and versatile than before. Additionally, the front display may arrive with a Samsung-like Privacy Display feature.

It is also being said that the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max may launch in September. Last year, Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi 17 Ultra in December. Therefore, it is likely that the Xiaomi 18 Ultra’s December 2026 launch could be joined by the standard Xiaomi 18.

The post Xiaomi 18 Pro core specs leak reveals dual 200MP cameras, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, and more appeared first on Gizmochina.

The Xiaomi 18 series is already beginning to surface through leaks months ahead of its expected debut. Recent information from well-known Chinese tipsters points to several upgrades across the lineup, suggesting that Xiaomi may focus on display technology, privacy features and camera improvements for its next-generation flagship phones.

Xiaomi 18 Pro may introduce privacy-focused display technology

According to details shared by tipsters Digital Chat Station and Smart Pikachu, Xiaomi is testing a new flagship Pro model equipped with a next-generation 2K display and integrated privacy protection technology. The feature is said to combine hardware and software solutions to prevent nearby people from viewing on-screen content, offering enhanced protection for messages, passwords and other sensitive information.

While the device was not named directly, speculation points to the Xiaomi 18 Pro. The leak follows reports that Samsung is also exploring similar privacy display solutions for future Galaxy flagship devices, indicating that privacy-focused screens could become a new trend in the premium smartphone segment.

Smart Pikachu recently claimed that the Xiaomi 18 series is currently scheduled to launch in September. The lineup is expected to retain Xiaomi’s secondary rear display concept while introducing a customized 200-megapixel LOFIC main camera. The phones are also tipped to feature displays with larger corner radii, an effective 2K resolution and higher peak brightness compared to the previous generation.

On the software side, the Xiaomi 18 family is expected to run HyperOS 4. Leaks suggest the interface could introduce a new light-inspired visual style while bringing deeper AI integration across applications. Speaking of AI integration, recent reports have revealed that the series will feature a dedicated AI button.

As of now, Xiaomi has not confirmed any of these details. However, if the leaks prove accurate, the Xiaomi 18 series could arrive with one of the biggest display and privacy upgrades seen on a Xiaomi flagship in recent years. What do you think about privacy display technology, and is this the feature you are most excited to see on the Xiaomi 18 Pro?

The post Xiaomi 18 Pro series could offer Samsung-like Privacy Display feature appeared first on Gizmochina.

Xiaomi 18 recently surfaced in the GSMA product database, confirming its existence. Based on how Xiaomi rolls out its flagships, the new Xiaomi 18 series should reach buyers as early as September this year.

However, tipster Digital Chat Station in a fresh reveal says Xiaomi is switching up its usual release order this time around. Instead of launching the standard and Pro models together, Xiaomi will reportedly bring out the higher-spec Xiaomi 18 Pro series first in September, with the standard Xiaomi 18 following shortly after.

The gap between the two launches will not be large, and both phones are said to be available for purchase before the Chinese Spring Festival, which falls in February.

Now, if that sounds familiar, that’s because it is. Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 18 Pro in September, while the vanilla iPhone 18 is rumored to follow later in 2027. Xiaomi seems to be employing the same approach.

And…it might not be the only thing Xiaomi will copy from Apple—rumors suggest the company also plans to use the signature red color expected for the iPhone 18 series.

A price hike is the bigger issue

A bigger concern is that the Xiaomi 18 series is said to cost noticeably more than its predecessors. And this isn’t a Xiaomi-only move. Rising costs across the upstream supply chain are pushing prices up for nearly every major Android brand, not just Xiaomi.

Xiaomi founder Lei Jun has already weighed in on the memory issue. He said the current jump in memory prices is severe, and that supply prices are likely to keep climbing over the next two years. His advice to anyone planning to upgrade their phone soon is simple: buy sooner rather than later.

On the hardware side, the Xiaomi 18 series will be among the first phones to use Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 platform.

The post Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 will launch separately, per this leak appeared first on Gizmochina.

A fresh leak today revealed the rear camera specs of the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max. The device is rumored to feature a 200MP main and a 200MP telephoto lens. Alongside these camera modules will be a display that Xiaomi first introduced with the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Pro Max. This has already been confirmed.

A Weibo tipster known as Smart Pikachu has now revealed details about the rear display on the Xiaomi 18 Pro models, and the specifications sound promising.

According to the leak, the Xiaomi 18 Pro will feature a 4-inch rear display, a massive jump from the 2.7-inch secondary screen found on the Xiaomi 17 Pro.

Xiaomi 18 Pro’s rear screen will be a serious upgrade

That alone would be a significant upgrade, but the tipster goes further, claiming the display will offer high brightness, a high pixel density (PPI), large rounded corners, and built-in privacy protection.

If true, it will be a clear evolution from last year’s model. The Xiaomi 17 Pro‘s rear display measured 2.7 inches and featured a resolution of 572 × 904 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 3,500 nits.

A 4-inch panel would provide significantly more space for features Xiaomi has already introduced on the current model, including live translation, teleprompter mode, and interactive widgets.

Xiaomi is reportedly evolving the rear display into an AI-powered smart window, enabling more dynamic and context-aware interactions rather than serving as a simple auxiliary screen. A larger, brighter display with improved color accuracy would make that vision far more practical.

The Xiaomi 18 series is expected to launch in September, so there is still some time before we receive official confirmation of its hardware specifications.

The post Xiaomi 18 Pro to feature 2x bigger rear screen with privacy protection appeared first on Gizmochina.

The Xiaomi 18 series has pretty much been confirmed to debut as the first smartphones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. The lineup will likely initially feature three devices: the Xiaomi 18, Xiaomi 18 Pro, and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max.

The standard and Pro models are expected to be the compact offering, while the Pro Max edition will serve as the big-screen flagship.

Now, prolific tipster Digital Chat Station has shared fresh exclusive details specifically about the camera hardware of this “large-screen flagship.“

According to the leak, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will pack a 200MP main camera with a large 1/1.28-inch sensor. What makes it special is the inclusion of next-generation LOFIC technology, which is said to improve dynamic range, especially in challenging lighting conditions.

Even more interesting is the telephoto setup. The engineering sample reportedly features a 200MP 1/1.56-inch telephoto sensor with a 3x± focal length and an F2.4± aperture. It also supports close-up, telephoto, and macro photography. Crucially, both the sensor and the lens assembly have been completely redesigned from the ground up.

What we know so far

According to previous reports, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will feature a 6.9-inch flat display, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset, and a battery capacity of around 8,500mAh with 100W wired fast charging support. It is also likely to offer 50W wireless charging.

On the software side, as a next-generation model, it is expected to ship with HyperOS 4 based on Android 17.

Design-wise, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is expected to continue the rear-display concept seen in the previous generation, with this secondary screen evolving into an AI-powered smart window that enables more dynamic and context-aware interactions.

The Xiaomi 18 series is expected to launch in September 2026.

The post Xiaomi 18 Pro Max camera system fully detailed in new leak appeared first on Gizmochina.

In September, Xiaomi is expected to unveil the Xiaomi 18 series as the world’s first smartphones powered by the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 flagship chipset. Today, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station shared a Weibo post revealing key details about the Xiaomi 18 lineup.

Xiaomi 18 series key details tipped

According to a new post by DCS, Xiaomi’s next-generation Xiaomi 18 series is expected to feature a compact flagship model with a display measuring around 6.4 inches. The tipster claims the screen will be close to what many users consider a mid-sized display and will feature a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, large-radius corners, ultra-narrow and symmetrical bezels, and a flat-panel design. The display is also tipped to offer an effective 2K resolution for sharper visuals.

DCS further revealed that the Xiaomi 18 Pro series will debut an exclusive new display technology. In addition to the upgraded screen, the upcoming lineup is said to bring notable improvements in imaging, battery technology, and overall hardware. The tipster specifically mentioned dual 200-megapixel cameras and the use of silicon-carbon battery technology as key upgrades.

When asked about battery capacity in the comments section, DCS responded that the battery would begin with the number “7,” suggesting a capacity in the 7,000mAh range. While an exact figure was not disclosed, the tipster implied that the battery life should be more than sufficient for most users. This battery is likely to power both the standard Xiaomi 18 and the Pro model, which is also expected to feature a similarly sized display.

Reports have revealed that the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will be the largest model among the three, as it is said to house a 6.9-inch 2K OLED screen. Under the hood, it may feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chip and an 8,500mAh battery.

Other reports have revealed that the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max may continue to feature a rear-facing display, similar to the previous generation. However, the rear display is said to become more versatile than before.

Additionally, a recent update from tipster Smart Pikachu claims that Xiaomi is exploring AI-powered desktop experiences for secondary displays, not only on the Xiaomi 18 Pro models but also on the cover screen of Xiaomi’s next foldable phone, tentatively referred to as the Xiaomi 18 Fold.

The post Xiaomi 18 tipped to feature a 6.4-inch 2K display, 7,000mAh-class battery appeared first on Gizmochina.

The rumor mill is actively leaking details about upcoming flagship phones expected to launch in China from September onward. A fresh leak from popular tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed new details about what is believed to be an upcoming Xiaomi 18 series phone. The leak suggests that the device will arrive with several notable upgrades.

Xiaomi 18 key details tipped

According to the tipster, the engineering prototype of the device is currently in development and could arrive as the only compact flagship phone in its segment to feature both a next-generation 2nm flagship chipset, which appears to be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, and dual 200-megapixel cameras backed by large image sensors in its rear camera setup.

The leak further claims that the device may pack a battery capacity starting with “7,” suggesting a battery in the 7,000mAh range with improvements over previous generations. Despite the large battery and advanced camera hardware, Xiaomi is reportedly working on a slim and compact design with a flat display featuring ultra-narrow symmetrical bezels enabled by new LIPO packaging technology. While he has not specified the screen size, it may feature a display of around 6.3 inches.

It remains unclear whether the tipster is referring to the standard Xiaomi 18 or the Xiaomi 18 Pro. However, it appears more likely to be the Pro model, as a previous leak from the same source suggested that the 18 Pro would feature dual 200-megapixel cameras, whereas the standard model would include a single 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera in its rear setup.

Xiaomi has launched its flagship phones in September for the past few years. This year as well, the Xiaomi 18 series, which is expected to include the Xiaomi 18, 18 Pro, and 18 Pro Max, may debut in the same month. At present, there is no clarity on the global launch timeframe for these devices.

The post Xiaomi 18 series phone tipped to feature dual 200MP cameras, 7,000mAh battery appeared first on Gizmochina.

A new set of renders, said to show the upcoming Xiaomi 18 Pro, has surfaced on the web, although the phone is months away from launch.

From the renders, the Xiaomi 18 Pro retains the wide camera plateau on the back with a triple-camera setup along with a secondary rear display. To note, the render currently shows the interior of the phone, and not a finished look.

The more notable addition this generation could be a new physical AI button on the side of the device. According to the leak, this button is designed for quick access to AI-powered features, with support for one-press activation in different contexts. It’s also expected to integrate with Xiaomi’s broader ecosystem, including smart home controls and even compatible electric vehicles.

That ecosystem angle is not new for Xiaomi, but a dedicated hardware shortcut could make those connections more immediate. The report suggests the button will be customizable, allowing users to assign different AI-driven actions depending on their needs.

The rear display is here to stay

These renders are still early, and there’s no guarantee the final product will look exactly like this. That said, they line up with previous reports that Xiaomi plans to keep investing in the rear display concept.

Lu Weibing, president of Xiaomi Group, has previously said the company wants to evolve the rear screen from a decorative element into something more functional.

On the current model, the rear display already supports features like translation during conversations, a teleprompter mode for video, and even simple interactive widgets. The expectation is that the Xiaomi 18 Pro will possibly turn the rear screen into a more independent interface rather than just an extension of the main display.

On the front, the phone is rumored to feature a relatively compact flat display with a 1.5K resolution. Internally, the Xiaomi 18 Pro is expected to debut with Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship chip, likely the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro, built on a 2-nanometer process by TSMC.

The post Xiaomi 18 Pro first render shows a familiar design with rear display appeared first on Gizmochina.

Xiaomi’s upcoming 18 Pro series has been showing up in leaks at a steady pace, and the latest one adds a few more details.

As you might already know, Xiaomi is reportedly working on two Xiaomi 18 Pro models: a smaller Xiaomi 18 Pro and a larger 18 Pro Max.

Xiaomi 18 Pro Specifications (Expected)

According to prolific tipster Digital Chat Station, the smaller Pro model could feature a battery capacity starting in the “7,000mAh” range, along with support for both 100W wired and wireless charging. In comparison, Xiaomi 17 Pro has a 63000mAh cell.

On the camera side, the report mentions a “dual 200MP” setup, alongside telephoto and macro capabilities. That lines up with earlier rumors, which also pointed to 200MP sensors from SmartSens for the Xiaomi 18 Pro.

These new sensors are also expected to support LOFIC HDR 3.0, a hardware-based approach aimed at improving dynamic range.

There’s also talk of modular optics, including magnetic, snap-on lenses. If that actually makes it to the final product, it could give users more flexibility, especially for zoom or more specialized photography.

Performance is expected to come from Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip built on a 2nm process. It is likely to be paired with up to 16GB of RAM.

Meanwhile, the larger 18 Pro Max could push battery capacity even further, with prototypes said to be targeting around 8,500mAh.

The Max model is also expected to retain the secondary rear display introduced last year.

As usual with early leaks, none of this is confirmed, and Xiaomi hasn’t said anything publicly. We’ll keep you updated as more details about the phone start to surface.

The post Xiaomi 18 Pro battery and camera details leak appeared first on Gizmochina.

A fresh leak out of China suggests Xiaomi could switch from Omnivision camera sensors to SmartSens in the upcoming Xiaomi 18 series.

According to information shared by Digital Chat Station on Weibo, a top-five smartphone brand is planning to use a SmartSens sensor in its next flagship lineup. While the tipster didn’t name the company outright, it’s widely speculated to be the Xiaomi 18 series.

Xiaomi 18 Pro could feature 200MP SmartSens sensors

The leak suggests the lineup could feature dual 200-megapixel main cameras with a 1/1.28-inch sensor size. On higher-end models, these sensors are expected to support LOFIC HDR 3.0, which is a hardware-level sensor technology that improves dynamic range.

LOFIC — short for lateral overflow integration capacitor — combines linear and logarithmic charge storage within a single pixel. This should result in more balanced images, especially in high-contrast environments like sunsets or backlit scenes.

Xiaomi has been gradually exploring alternatives to Sony sensors. The company switched from Sony to Omnivision on Xiaomi 17 Pro series, and earlier reports suggest the company is testing other domestic imaging solutions too. So this move wouldn’t be entirely surprising if Xiaomi does so.

The Xiaomi 18 Pro models are also said to pair the SmartSens 200MP sensor with experimental modular optics. That could include magnetic, snap-on lenses, which might allow users to attach accessories like telephoto converters directly to the phone.

On the performance side, the devices are expected to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chip, paired with up to 16GB of RAM, and a battery reportedly reaching 7,000mAh.

None of this is confirmed yet, and of course, Xiaomi hasn’t commented publicly. But the company has hinted it may keep the rear display introduced on the Xiaomi 17 Pro for the Xiaomi 18 Pro.

The post Xiaomi 18 Pro rumored to feature SmartSens 200MP sensor with improved HDR appeared first on Gizmochina.

Xiaomi’s next flagship lineup, likely called the Xiaomi 18 series, has started appearing in leaks ahead of its expected September 2026 debut. Early details suggest that the brand is sticking with a familiar design direction while adding deeper AI-driven enhancements to the experience.

Xiaomi 18 Pro series: Rear display to be more powerful than before

According to tipster Smart Pikachu, the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max are expected to continue with the rear display concept seen in the previous generation. This secondary screen is said to evolve into an AI-powered smart window, enabling more dynamic and context-aware interactions instead of functioning as a simple auxiliary display.

The tipster has also indicated that the Xiaomi 18 series is likely to be unveiled in September, aligning with Xiaomi’s typical flagship launch cycle. Earlier statements from company leadership had already confirmed continued investment in rear display technology, with a focus on improving usability through frequent feature updates.

Existing features such as live translation, video teleprompter tools, and interactive elements are expected to be further refined with stronger AI integration, making the rear panel a more functional part of the device.

On the imaging side, the Pro model is reportedly being tested with a dual 200-megapixel camera setup, covering both the main and telephoto sensors. This could significantly enhance light capture and detail, particularly for zoom photography. Meanwhile, the standard Xiaomi 18 is expected to introduce a periscope telephoto camera, marking a notable upgrade for the base variant.

Performance improvements are also anticipated across the lineup. The Xiaomi 18 series is expected to debut with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset, built on a 2nm process. The Pro and Pro Max versions could feature a more powerful variant of the same chip, along with upgrades to haptics and speaker quality.

In addition, Xiaomi is reportedly testing external optical accessories such as magnetic lenses and clip-on zoom modules, which may further expand the camera capabilities beyond the built-in hardware.

The post Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max tipped to retain rear display, launch in September appeared first on Gizmochina.

A new leak is adding to the growing pile of early details around Xiaomi’s next flagship lineup. According to frequent tipster Digital Chat Station, the upcoming Xiaomi 18 Pro will feature two 200MP cameras alongside a big battery.

In particular, this “small-screen” flagship is said to feature a 200-megapixel main camera paired with a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. Both these lenses are an upgrade from Xiaomi 17 Pro’s 50MP main and telephoto setup.

The successor is also expected to feature a 7000mAh battery, a slight improvement over the 17 Pro’s 6300mAh cell. And of course, for a flagship, wireless charging is a must.

Apart from this, the leaked prototype is said to include features like IP68/IP69-rated water and dust resistance, and a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.

Xiaomi 18 Pro could also retain the rear screen

Perhaps more interesting is the fact that the Xiaomi 18 Pro is also rumored to retain the rear display alongside the cameras. This would be impressive, if true, given that the company is also using larger camera sensors and a bigger battery. And mind you, this is a 6.3-inch flagship, not your regular 7-inch slab.

Previous leaks have also indicated that the Xiaomi 18 series could be powered by Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship chipset, widely expected to be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. The lineup may launch in China around September next year, while an Ultra variant could arrive later.

For now, these details remain early and subject to change. But if Xiaomi does move forward with a dual 200MP camera setup and a 7,000mAh-class battery, the Xiaomi 18 Pro could end up being more about refining extremes. We’ll keep you in the loop as more details emerge.

The post Xiaomi 18 Pro tipped with two 200MP cameras, 7000mAh battery in a 6.3-inch body appeared first on Gizmochina.

Xiaomi is reportedly working on the Xiaomi 18 lineup for the Chinese market. So far, the lineup is expected to include the Xiaomi 18, 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max, and 18 Ultra. The Ultra edition may debut by the end of this year, whereas the other three models may go official in September in China. A new leak, courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station, has revealed that the entire lineup will feature a 200-megapixel camera.

Xiaomi 18’s entire lineup to feature 200MP cameras

The new leak suggests that the current engineering samples of the entire Xiaomi 18 series are equipped with a 200-megapixel camera backed by a large 1/1.28-inch sensor. The tipster added that this generation is said to feature a dual 200-megapixel imaging system, described internally as a landmark upgrade for the brand’s camera capabilities.

As per previous reports, the Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max may both sport dual 200-megapixel cameras in their rear setup. These could be used for the primary and periscope telephoto cameras.

The standard Xiaomi 17 has a telephoto camera in its rear camera setup. However, rumors surrounding the Xiaomi 18 suggest that it will be equipped with a periscope telephoto camera. Related rumors also suggest that the Xiaomi 18’s periscope telephoto camera will feature a 200-megapixel sensor.

Speaking of the standard Xiaomi 18, it may arrive with a slight increase in display size, reaching 6.4 inches compared to 6.3 inches on the Xiaomi 17. As far as the chipset is concerned, the Xiaomi 18, 18 Pro, and 18 Pro Max are all expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip. Likely, the Xiaomi 18 Ultra could be equipped with the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro SoC.

The post Xiaomi 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max may sport dual 200MP cameras, Xiaomi 18 may get 200MP periscope zoom lens appeared first on Gizmochina.

Xiaomi is expected to unveil the Xiaomi 18 series in September in China. Initially, the lineup may include the Xiaomi 18, 18 Pro, and 18 Pro Max, followed by the Xiaomi 18 Ultra’s launch by the end of the year. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station shared a Weibo post revealing key details about the Xiaomi 18.

Xiaomi 18 key details tipped

To recall, the Xiaomi 17 and 17 Pro are compact flagship phones equipped with a 6.3-inch display. DCS’s latest leak suggests that the Xiaomi 18’s display size may slightly increase to 6.4 inches while still retaining a compact form factor. It is likely that the Xiaomi 18 Pro may also feature a 6.4-inch display. The inclusion of a larger screen could allow Xiaomi to incorporate more advanced components inside.

Past reports have claimed that the Xiaomi 18 will finally receive a periscope telephoto camera, which would be a major upgrade since its predecessor features a standard telephoto camera. The new leak reveals that not only the Xiaomi 18, but also other models in the series, such as the 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max, and 18 Ultra, may all feature a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.

The tipster has previously claimed that the Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max will feature dual 200-megapixel cameras, possibly for the primary and periscope telephoto sensors. Speaking of the Pro models, these devices are expected to retain a rear-facing secondary display, but it may be more versatile than before.

Moving to the chipset department, early reports suggest that the Xiaomi 18, 18 Pro, and 18 Pro Max may feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. Xiaomi may reserve the more advanced and costlier Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro for the Xiaomi 18 Ultra.

The post Xiaomi 18 tipped to feature larger display, 200MP periscope telephoto camera appeared first on Gizmochina.

Last year, Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi 18 series in the same month as the first phones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in China. On the other hand, Vivo introduced the Vivo X300 and X300 Pro as the world’s first phones featuring the Dimensity 9500 chip in China. It appears both brands could once again be among the first to launch flagship phones equipped with next-generation flagship chipsets this year.

September launch window and chipset plans

According to tipster Digital Chat Station, new smartphones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series and the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 series are currently scheduled for a September debut. Interestingly, the tip suggests that brands planning to introduce these next-generation chipsets are preparing to offer three versions as standard practice, namely a regular model, a Pro variant, and a Pro Max edition.

To recall, the Xiaomi 17 lineup, which debuted in September 2025, included three models: Xiaomi 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max. These models are likely to be succeeded by the Xiaomi 18, 18 Pro, and 18 Pro Max in the same month this year.

While Vivo announced the Vivo X300 and X300 Pro in September last year, it appears that this year’s lineup may launch earlier and is likely to include three models, such as the Vivo X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max. Rumors suggest that the X400 branding may be skipped, as the number 4 is considered an unlucky number in some Asian countries.

Readers should note that the tipster has not specified any device names in the leak. The Oppo Find X10 series is also expected to include the Find X10, X10 Pro, and X10 Pro Max powered by the Dimensity 9600. So, it remains unclear whether the tipster was referring to Oppo or Vivo as the other brand alongside Xiaomi. However, in recent years, Vivo has often been the first brand to launch MediaTek’s latest flagship chipsets, so the second brand mentioned in the leak could be Vivo. Readers are advised to treat this information cautiously.

In today’s leak, DCS also cautions that the company expected to debut the new chip in September is unlikely to ship its device with the SM8975, also referred to as the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro, as a standard configuration. The reason cited is the extremely high cost of the 2nm chipset, which could significantly impact pricing.

Here, the tipster may be suggesting that Xiaomi will not launch a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro-powered phone in September. Previous leaks have claimed that this chip is designed for ultra-premium devices and is likely to power the Xiaomi 18 Ultra, which may debut by the end of this year in China.

The post Xiaomi 18, Vivo X500: Standard, Pro, and Max models tipped to launch in September appeared first on Gizmochina.

Xiaomi is reportedly preparing its next-generation flagship lineup, with early leaks hinting at significant hardware changes for the Xiaomi 18 series. A new leak suggests that imaging capabilities could receive a notable upgrade, particularly for the Pro variants. At present, a 200-megapixel camera is only limited to the Ultra variant, but the new leak reveals that even Pro models will come equipped with it.

Xiaomi 18 Pro series could feature 200-megapixel cameras

According to well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, an upcoming Xiaomi flagship phone equipped with a 6.3-inch display and dual 200-megapixel cameras is in the works. While it appears to be a Xiaomi leak, he has not specified the name of the device.

Based on Xiaomi’s current lineup strategy, both the standard Xiaomi 18 and the Xiaomi 18 Pro are expected to retain a compact form factor like the Xiaomi 17 and 17 Pro. However, major camera enhancements are likely to be reserved for the Pro model. Hence, it can be assumed that the Xiaomi 18 Pro may feature dual 200-megapixel cameras, as per the new leak.

There’s a possibility that Xiaomi may continue mirroring hardware between Pro and Pro Max variants. Similar to how the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max share siimlar camera systems, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max may offer the same dual 200-megapixel setup while differentiating itself with different camera sensors, a larger display, and higher battery capacity. A 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens is also expected to complement the main sensors. Both the Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max feature a more versatile secondary display on the back.

DCS has previously claimed that the standard Xiaomi 18 could finally introduce a periscope telephoto camera, replacing the existing telephoto unit with improved optical zoom capabilities.

Across the lineup, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset is rumored to power Xiaomi 18, 18 Pro, and 18 Pro Max, while the Xiaomi 18 Ultra may adopt a higher-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro variant. The Xiaomi 18 series is expected to debut in China around September, with the Ultra model potentially arriving later in the year.

Xiaomi is currently gearing up to launch the Xiaomi 17 and 17 Ultra globally. Reports have claimed that the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max will remain exclusive to the Chinese market. Therefore, there is no clarity on whether Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max will be released globally.
