Last year, Xiaomi dropped MIUI Gallery synchronization with Xiaomi Cloud for global users. Following that, the company integrated Google Photos sync. This feature went live for more users earlier this year with the launch of the Xiaomi 13 series.
Now, months later, details emerge that the company will soon provide an alternative option for media backup. Users will be able to upload their photos and videos to Microsoft OneDrive.
The info regarding the integration of Microsoft OneDrive with MIUI Gallery comes from none other than reliable MIUI tipster @kacskrz (Kacper Skrzypek). He also lists the devices that will get this feature.
Interestingly, the feature will not be available on tablets. Also, it won’t be supported in certain regions.
For instance, if you have set up your Xiaomi phone’s region as either Macau, Hong Kong, Russia, Belarus, Cuba, Isle of Man, Lebanon, South Georgia and South Sandwich Island, or Venezuela, you will not get an option to use OneDrive sync. Kacper says there could be even more regions that won’t have this feature.

Huawei is set to release its new flagship smart TV, the Huawei Smart Screen V5 Pro, on September 25 in China. The announcement was made on Weibo, the Chinese social media platform.
The Smart Screen V series is Huawei’s high-end flagship TV line-up with loads of premium features. So it’s likely that the V5 Pro will have all the flagship features of its predecessors, plus some new ones.
Based on the official poster, the Smart Screen V5 Pro will have a screen with almost no bezels and cameras above the display. According to Weibo user @kanshanzhushu, the TV will come in two screen sizes—85 inches and 98 inches.
Huawei is also promoting the TV with the tagline “giant screen flagship, innovative interaction”. This means that we could expect a TV as big as 98 inches. Likewise, Huawei’s TVs run on the HarmonyOS, which enables features like Smart Interaction. This lets users to directly control the TV through their mobile phone.
The Smart Screen V5 Pro is not expected to be cheap, given its the company’s flagship TV for 2023. For reference, other TVs in the lineup, such as the V85 and V98, retail for 16,999 yuan (about $2,400) and 24,999 yuan (about $3,500), respectively.
There have been ample amounts of leaks and rumors about the upcoming Redmi Note 13 Pro series. Most of the specifications and features of the smartphone are already out via the official teasers. A few hours before the launch, Redmi published a couple of new teasers on Weibo which confirmed the storage and charging capability of the Redmi Note 13 Pro+.

The Xiaomi MIJIA smart dual-gallon electric water heater 60L S1 has an upgraded and extended anti-electricity wall and a three-pole leakage protection switch. This guarantees safe baths for the entire family at all times. The water heater has a hot water output rate of 80% and this is higher than the national energy efficiency standard. You can use the MIJIA app to remotely control the electric heater across several domains.
The MIJIA Smart water heater supports 99.99% antibacterial protection and uses 840 stainless steel heating tubes. It also has dual-resistance magnesium rods, high-strength steel plates, and 850ºC enamel inner pots. Xiaomi is offering a 5-year machine warranty for the electric heater. It is also offering to replace the bladder if leaks are noticed within the first year of purchase.
The Xiaomi MIJIA Smart Dual-gallon Electric Water Heater is available on Xiaomi Youpin for 1,399 yuan (~$192). The details about the crowdfunding campaign for the new MIJIA heater and global availability information are lacking at this time.

Simply put, Flows allows you to buy stuff—like train tickets or meals—right within a WhatsApp conversation. Businesses can now offer menus or forms that users can easily navigate to make a purchase.
WhatsApp plans to launch Flows for businesses using its Business Platform in the coming weeks. Initially, the service will kick off in India. Users there will be able to add items to a cart and use multiple payment options like UPI, debit, and credit cards. To ensure secure transactions, WhatsApp is partnering with Razorpay and PayU.
A new verification feature called “Meta Verified” is also in the works. This provides a trust badge to businesses that prove they’re legitimate. Verified companies get perks like a customizable WhatsApp web page and multi-device support. However, this feature is still being tested and is not yet available on the Business Platform.

Xiaomi has released the MIJIA direct-drive front-loading washing machine 12kg in China. The washing machine has an ultra-thin body with a thickness of 540mm. The MIJIA direct-drive washing machine is 52mm thinner than a traditional 12kg drum washing machine. It has an ultra-wide color touch screen while the body has an ice white color. The Xiaomi MIJIA direct-drive washing machine has a front-loading architecture and has a cleaning ratio of 1.1.
The outer barrel has a diameter of 530mm while the inner barrel is based on an upgraded laser welding technology. The design of the inner barrel is such that it is formed in one piece and omits rivets. The washing machine has a direct-drive motor and four shock absorbers for efficient operation. It is also equipped with smart chips and algorithms for its seamless operation. It supports a 90º swing of its inner cylinder reducing the need for wire drawing and deformation.
The MIJIA direct-drive washing machine uses the magnetic levitation driving principle of the direct-drive motor. This allows the inner cylinder to rotate smoothly for a quiet operation. The washing machine supports steam sterilization, high-temperature cylinder cleaning, nano-antibacterial door seals, and other functions. The MIJIA App can be used to remotely control the washing machine, and customize the washing time, rinse time, temperature, and speed. The gadget supports OTA upgrades.
The Xiaomi MIJIA direct-drive washing machine 12kg is now available from retail platforms in China including JD.com. The price of the washing machine is 1,699 yuan (~$233). There is no global availability and pricing information yet for the MIJIA direct-drive washing machine 12kg.
