OnePlus Nord Watch India launch timeline revealed, currently in internal testing

OnePlus has been rumored to be working on its first Nord branded smartwatch for sometime now. While finer details were still at large, a new report has hinted at its launch timeline for the Indian market.

The news arrives from known tipster Mukul Sharma who shared the information on Twitter. Sharma stated that the Chinese smartphone maker’s Nord Watch will likely launch sometime in the third quarter of this year. Furthermore, he stated that the new Nord Watch has also began internal testing in the country. Another notable detail that he shared is that the upcoming smartwatch was even spotted on the Indian BIS certification database as well.

In other words, this basically hints that the new wearable product will likely be launching soon in India. As of right now, the exact specifications or design of this Nord branded smartwatch is still unknown. But since the Nord series is the brand’s budget oriented lineup, it will likely be a pocket friendly wearable gadget. We can also expect it to run on a proprietary skin and not the usual WearOS. Another possibility is that the Nord Watch will sport a circular display.

Keep in mind that this is still just an unconfirmed report so take it with a pinch of salt. While the BIS listing hints at its launch, the certification database does not confirm its arrival for the Indian market. So stay tuned for more, as we will be providing updates when additional information is available regarding this matter.

Starbucks to offer limited edition Samsung Galaxy S22 series & Galaxy Buds 2 cases in Korea

Samsung is collaborating with Starbucks in India. This partnership will have the latter offer special limited edition protective cases for the former’s Galaxy S22 series of smartphones and the Galaxy Buds 2 TWS earbuds.

These new cases will be available from the Starbucks app and even the Starbuck’s Naver Store. Looking at these cases, the cover for the Galaxy S22 Ultra is based on the “Silicone cover with Strap” design. On the other hand, the Galaxy S22 case doesn’t feature a strap but has a large large logo. The Galaxy S22+ cover features a “Count the stars in your Galaxy” tagline.

While each of the flagship smartphones has received a new limited edition case, the Galaxy Buds 2 has received two special cases. One of these is quite standard since its a simple cover that has the iconic green from Starbucks and its logo. Although, the other one is a bit more eccentric in terms of design. This second one turns the South Korean tech giant’s Galaxy Buds 2 TWS earbuds into a cup of Starbucks coffee.

Notably, both of these cases are even compatible with the Galaxy Buds Live and Galaxy Buds Pro as well since they have a similar charging case. Interestingly, all of these cases have been made out of eco friendly materials. Furthermore, these are only available in limited quantities. As of right now, these cases are only available in Starbucks South Korea and its unknown if these will make it outside of the region.

Tecno Camon 19 vs Camon 19 Pro vs Camon 19 Neo: Specs Comparison

The Tecno Camon 19 series hitten the Indian shelves with several models. There are four variants from this series and all of them can be considered mid-rangers. But there is one single variant which left everyone surprised because of its stunning camera department: we are talking about the Pro variant. However, the remaining ones come with an outstanding quality price ratio, so they should be considered as well. This is a comparison between the Tecno Camon 19, the Tecno Camon 19 Pro, and the Tecno Camon 19 Neo. We decided to exclude one variant from this comparison: the 5G version, because it is very similar to the Neo and because all the other variants do not support the 5G connectivity.

Design

The Tecno Camon 19 is definitely the best device of this trio in terms of design, at least in my opinion. I appreciate its very original rear texture which looks like a labyrinth because it makes this device unique. But you should not underestimate the Tecno Camon 19 Neo because it is another device with an original texture on the rear side. The Tecno Camon 19 Pro looks like all the other phones due to its classic gradient back, but you should note that all of these phones have circular camera modules reminding of the latest Honor devices, so even the Pro variant remains pretty interesting aesthetically.

Display

The displays found on these three devices are not so interesting. Between these panels, the hottest one is definitely the one found on the Tecno Camon 19 Pro. The reason is simple: it is the only panel in this comparison with a 120 Hz refresh rate. So you get a smoother user experience, but no changes in terms of image quality. Indeed, all of these phones feature IPS LCD displays with a 6.8-inch diagonal and a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels. The level of detail is identical and even the image quality, the only difference is the smoothness in the Pro variant. The Tecno trio comes with mono speakers and side-mounted fingerprint readers, just like most of the affordable phones out there.

Specs & Software

The most advanced hardware department is offered by the Tecno Camon 19 Pro. It is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G96 mobile platform built at 12 nm and running at a max frequency of 2.05 GHz. It is actually more powerful not only in terms of CPU performance but even when it comes to the GPU. So gamers and power users should choose this phone instead of the other internal rivals. The chip is paired with 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of native storage. The Tecno Camon 19 and the Neo variant are more or less at the same level: they are powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 mobile platform built at 12 nm and running at a max frequency of 2 GHz, they feature 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage in the most advanced memory configurations. All of these phones run Android 12 out of the box with the HiOS customization on top.

Camera

Even though it is an affordable phone with midrange-class hardware, the Tecno Camon 19 Pro has a stunning camera department which you can usually find only on top camera phones. It has a triple camera setup composed of a main 64 MP camera with OIS, a 50 MP telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom, and a 2 MP depth sensor, as well as a 32 MP selfie snapper and a Quad-LED flash. The other devices have no way to compete with the Pro variant and they can only be considered low-end camera phones. The Tecno Camon 19 Pro comes with a good 64 MP shooter and it is better than the Neo and its 48 MP main camera.

Battery

All of these phones feature the same battery capacity: 5000 mAh. Given that the components are similar in terms of energy consumption, they last more or less the same on a single charge. But the Pro variant charges quicker thanks to 33W fast charging.

Price

All the prices of these phones are yet to be unveiled: for now, we only know that the starting price of the Pro variant roughly translates into $212/€200. Which one is the best? Naturally the Pro variant because of its high-end camera department, but for the rest, it is not so different from the other variants. Which one would you pick?
