In August, Motorola announced the Moto Edge S Pro and Moto Edge Lite in China. These phones were rebranded versions of Motorola Edge 20 Pro and Motorola Edge 20. Fresh information reveals that the Lenovo-owned brand is now gearing up to launch a new phone called the Moto Edge X in China.
Today, the General Manager of Lenovo China Mobile Phone Business Department, Chen Jin took to Weibo to share a teaser of a new phone called the Moto Edge X. He did not share any information on the specs of the device but claimed that it is indefinitely powerful and full of expectations.
The Snapdragon 870 powered Edge S Pro arrived as the successor to the Edge S, driven by the same SoC. It seems that the upcoming Edge X could be a flagship device.
Qualcomm is expected to announce the next-generation Snapdragon 898 SoC at the upcoming Tech Summit event, which will be held by the end of this month. It is unclear whether the Edge X features the SD898 chip. Motorola did not launch a Snapdragon 888 SoC powered flagship this year. Hence, there is a possibility that it could be equipped with the SD888 chip. Hopefully, the company will share more details on the Edge X in the coming days.
In related news, a Motorola phone with model number XT2175-2 has received certification from the 3C authority of China. It revealed that the handset might carry support for 33W fast charging. A variant of this phone with model number XT2175-1 was spotted at Wi-Fi Alliance in September. The Edge S Pro supported 30W fast charging. Hence, it appears that the XT2175-2 phone that has emerged with a faster charger at 3C could be the upcoming Moto Edge X.
Realme has been focusing on the GT series of smartphones and after launching Realme GT 5G and the Realme GT Neo2 smartphones within months, the company is now gearing up to launch yet another smartphone in the series — Realme GT 2 Pro.
The Realme GT 2 Pro hasn’t been officially confirmed by the company but the device has already appeared in the IMEI database with model number RMX3301. Now, a new report coming from tipster Digital Chat Station sheds light on the launch timeline and pricing.
Realme GT Neo2T
As per the report, the upcoming Realme GT 2 Pro smartphone could get launched early next year with a price tag of around 4,000 yuan (approximately $625). Along with that, the brand could also launch a Limited Edition or Special Edition model of the same, which could be priced around 5,000 yuan (~$781).
The smartphone is expected to feature a 6.51-inch Full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with a punch-hole cutout and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The screen is expected to have thin bezels and offer a 20:9 aspect ratio, high refresh rate display, and 404PPI pixel density.
It could come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage but we expect the device to offer a couple of more options in terms of memory configuration.
In the camera department, the phone will feature a triple-camera setup on the back consisting of a 108-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, and a 5-megapixel tertiary camera. On the front side, there will be a 32-megapixel snapper for taking selfies and video calling.
The Realme GT 2 Pro is expected to run the latest Android 12 operating system out-of-the-box with the Realme UI 3 on top. It will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery and come with support for 65W fast charging technology.
Earlier this year, in the month of May, Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab S7 FE and now a new report claims that the company is gearing up to launch its successor in the market, dubbed as Galaxy Tab S8 FE. As the name itself indicates, it will be a watered-down variant of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S8.
It’s noteworthy that the South Korean giant is yet to launch the Galaxy Tab S8 series products, which reportedly include Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+, and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. These products are expected to get launched early next year.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Render
As for the Galaxy Tab S8 FE or the Galaxy Tab S8 Lite, the device is expected to get launched towards the end of next year, i.e. in the fourth quarter (Q4) or 2022. It is expected to come powered by the company’s own Exynos 2200 chipset or Qualcomm Snapdragon-series chip.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 is expected to feature an 11-inch LTPS TFT LCD panel with a 120HZ refresh rate. It is said to pack 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, along with featuring an 8-megapixel front-facing snapper. It will come powered by an 8,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging technology.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Tab S8+ is expected to feature a 12.4-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, in-screen fingerprint sensor. It will come with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, an Android-based One UI, a 10,090mAh battery, and 45W fast charging.
The top-end model in the lineup, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, will come with a 14.6-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and have an in-screen fingerprint sensor. It will pack up to 12GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage. In the camera department, there will be an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 5-megapixel ultra-wide front-facing camera. The device will be powered by a 12,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging.
Every year, towards the end, Qualcomm hosts its annual Tech Summit where the company also unveils its flagship next-generation processor for smartphones. This year, the Qualcomm Tech Summit will be hosted from 30th November to 2nd December.
A banner for the event on the company’s website shows a boat tracking an infinity sign and carries a tagline that reads “More to come, soon!” without revealing any extra information. But, it’s safe to assume that the next-generation Snapdragon series flagship chipset, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 will be officially announced on 30th November.
The upcoming Snapdragon 898 (SM-8450) will be manufactured by South Korean giant Samsung using its 4nm process. It is expected to run on Dual 3400 architecture with Adreno’s 730 graphics processing unit. It will bring the same octa-core chip with a frequency of 1.79GHz and can be overclocked by using higher power wattage.
The chipset is expected to have a prime ARM Cortex-X2 CPU core running at 3.0GHz, three Cortex-A710 based mid-cores clocked at 2.5GHz and four efficient Cortex-A510 derived cores running at 1.79GHz.
It is expected to offer 20 percent performance improvement over its predecessor and come packed with the Snapdragon X65 5G modem which could theoretically offer a maximum downlink speed of 10Gbps.
As for smartphones, Xiaomi is expected to be the first manufacturer to launch a device powered by this Qualcomm Snapdragon 898. The phone, which is likely to be the Xiaomi 12, is expected to get launched by the end of this year.
Apart from Xiaomi, many manufacturers, including Huawei, Lenovo, Motorola, Vivo, OPPO, and Samsung are in the first batch of companies that will launch smartphones powered by the new Snapdragon 898 chipset.
Google‘s latest Pixel 6 series models are signposted by the impressive camera setup in both models. The Google Pixel 6 Pro also got a top 10 rating in terms of its camera performance, but it seems there are still some issues relating to the stated fast charging potential of the new product. A recent test showed that the Samsung Galaxy S21 outperformed the Pixel 6 in charging speed and fingerprint recognition speed. Although the test details were not fully provided, another test has now shown that the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro’s 30W charging capability may not be entirely correct.
A wired charging test of the Google Pixel 6 seems to confirm the charging speed is quite slower than what was officially stated by Google. The official Google Pixel 6 Support page had stated that up to 50% charge could be accomplished in 30 minutes, using the Google 30W USB-C Charger with USB-PD 3.0 (which is sold separately). However multiple tests with the official 30W USB-C Charger revealed that the maximum power that was obtained from the two Pixel 6 models was 22W, with an average of 13W over the full charging cycle. The tests seem to be extensive, with some other high-power USB Power Delivery PPS plugs from Samsung, Anker, and Elecjet, all getting maximum power of 22W from the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.
The results also show significantly higher average charging times for the Pixel 6 series compared with the Pixel 5, and also Samsung Galaxy S21. While the Pixel 5 has a 4,080mAh battery, the Pixel 6 series comes with a 5,000mAh battery. This observed drawback of the Pixel 6 series could be the result of several issues, although there had not been any reaction from Google at this time. It seems however that full disclosure of the charging cycle has not been provided by Google, although its claim of achieving 50% charge within 30 minutes seems valid from the tests.

iQOO is reportedly working on a new U-series phone called the iQOO U5. The handset has now appeared in the IMEI database with its model number.
As seen in the above screengrab, a Vivo phone with model number V2165A is listed with the iQOO U5 moniker at the IMEI database. Leaked information that appeared earlier this month revealed that the company is planning to launch the iQOO U5 series of smartphones before the end of the year in China. Hence, there is a possibility that the U5 lineup may go official in December.
The leak also revealed that the iQOO U5 will be powered by the Dimensity 810 chipset. The other specs of the U5 are under wraps. It is likely to rival the Redmi Note 11 series of smartphones that debuted recently in China.
Recent reports have revealed that iQOO is gearing up to launch two new phones called the iQOO Neo 5s and iQOO Neo6 SE this month in China. The former is expected to arrive with specs like a 120Hz OLED screen, Snapdragon 888 chip, a 4,500mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging, a 48-megapixel Sony IMX598 primary camera with OIS support, a 16-megapixel front camera, 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of native storage, and dual speakers.
The iQOO Neo6 SE is likely to feature the Snapdragon 778G or the newer Snapdragon 778G Plus chipset. The smartphone is expected to carry support for 66W fast charging.
An Indian company is giving its employee a huge Diwali bonus of an electric scooter. The company, Alliance Group is based in Surat and it is reported that it had already gifted 35 of its employees with the Okinawa PraisePro, valued at Rs. 76,848 ($1,036). The e-scooter gift will serve multiple purposes as the company seeks to reduce consumption of gas, enhance savings and provide an improved overall carbon footprint.
Alliance Group is into the business of embroidery machines production, and the company says the increasing prices of gasoline was one of the factors that led it to offer the e-scooter gift bonus to its employees. It says the move will save the company’s staff expenditure on fuel and enable it to contribute towards environmental protection and a green outlook. Alliance Group also stated that it will continue to sustain measures aimed at maintaining environmentally safe and green operations.
It is not clear what metrics were used to choose the 35 employees that had benefited from the Alliance Group Diwali Gift bonus scheme, but the move remains impressive all the same. The percentage of the company’s workforce that has benefited from the rewards scheme is also not known, although the bulk could likely come from the lower end of the workforce.
Last year, ZTE became the first brand to launch a phone with under-display camera by announcing the ZTE Axon 20 5G. This year, mainstream brands like Samsung and Xiaomi launched under-display camera phones such as the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Xiaomi Mi MIX 4. Fresh information suggests that Realme could be planning to launch a smartphone with an in-screen camera in 2022.
As per a report by The Mobile Hunt, Realme has seemingly filed a patent for a phone with an in-screen camera. The patent documents showcase a phone with a full-screen design, which suggests its selfie camera could be embedded under the display. It also seems to be equipped with an in-screen fingerprint scanner.

As can be seen in the patent images, the left edge of the phone has volume buttons, and its right side features a power key. The back panel of the device has a triple camera unit. Its top edge appears to be barren, whereas its bottom edge has a USB-C port and a SIM card slot. Some antenna lines can be seen on the top and bottom frames of the device. It does not feature a 3.5mm audio jack.
Back in September, Realme China CMO Xu Qi shared an image of a phone without a notch or punch-hole through a Weibo post. He had mentioned in the comments of the post that it does not feature a pop-up camera system. Probably, he may have teased a prototype of a Realme phone with an in-screen camera.
It is very likely that many smartphone OEMs may launch smartphones with under-display camera in 2022. Hence, it is likely that Realme may launch its first in-screen camera phone in the coming year.

It offers photography features such as Embellishment with AI 2.0, AI scene enhancement, night mode, and so on. The handset sports the attractive Reno Glow Design and offers other features like FlexDrop and Emergency SOS.
Recent reports have revealed that the Reno6 Lite is a rebranded version of the OPPO F19, which debuted back in April in India. The F19 is available with other names such as OPPO A74, OPPO A95, and OPPO F19s (India). Considering that the Reno6 Lite is a rebranded F19, it is likely to feature a 6.43-inch display with 60Hz refresh rate, a 16-megapixel front-facing camera, and Snapdragon 662. It is expected to offer ColorOS 11.1 based Android 11.
In the last months, Xiaomi launched two brand new devices not having a predecessor. The Xiaomi CIVI is the first phone from the Civi series and it replaces the CC series by retaining a great design. Meanwhile, in the Redmi Note series the first Pro+ variant made its debut in China: the Redmi Note 11 Pro+. Both are Xiaomi phones and both are sold in the same price range: so, which one should you choose? There is no universal answer to this question and it mostly depends on the users’ needs. This comparison between Redmi Note 11 Pro+ and Xiaomi Civi will help you to understand the differences.

Design
The Xiaomi Civi is one of the most beautiful phones ever. It comes with an outstanding glass back made with a matte but brilliant finish similar to OPPO Glow. Further, it has an aluminum frame and it is one of the thinnest and most lightweight phones in the last generation. It is just 7 mm thin and weighs just 166 grams. Last but not least, it has a curved screen on the front which makes it even more elegant. The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ comes with a glass back and a chunkier design: it is far from being one of the best phones in terms of design, so it loses the design comparison.
Display
Despite both the phones featuring an OLED panel, the display of the Xiaomi Civi is at a higher level. It is an OLED panel that shows up to one billion colors and supports a 120 Hz refresh rate, the HDR10+ certification, and Dolby Vision. The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ has a good OLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate and HDR10, but it lacks HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, and it is not able to show all those colors. Further, the Xiaomi Civi features an in-display fingerprint scanner, unlike the Redmi Note 11 Pro+. Thanks to its smaller display (6.55 inches vs 6.67 inches), the Xiaomi Civi is more compact and ergonomic.
Hardware/Software
According to benchmarks, the Snapdragon 778G mobile platform found on the Xiaomi Civi is slightly more powerful than the MediaTek Dimensity 920 of the Redmi Note 11 Pro+. And that is not all: the Xiaomi Civi packs up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage, while you can get a max of 8 GB of RAM with the Redmi Note 11 Pro+. Further, the Snapdragon 778G has a better integrated 5G modem with the support of mmWave (besides sub-6 GHz frequencies). So the Xiaomi Civi offers something more when it comes to hardware. The software is exactly the same: the phones run Android 11 customized by MIUI 12.5.
Camera
The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ is an interesting camera phone in the midrange segment because it comes with a 108 MP main camera providing a very high level of detail. On the other hand, the Xiaomi Civi is a superior selfie phone thanks to its amazing 32 MP front camera. On the rear side, the Xiaomi Civi has an average 64 MP sensor, while the secondary sensors are the same for both handsets: an 8 MP ultrawide lens and a 2 MP macro camera. None of these devices is a high-end camera phone (so you won’t get amazing photos in low light conditions), but they both offer good photo quality.
Battery
Despite its incredibly thin design, the Xiaomi Civi has the same battery capacity as the Redmi Note 11 Pro+: 4500 mAh. Due to its smaller display, the Xiaomi Civi should offer a longer battery life on a single charge. But the efficiency of a phone does not only depend on the display: there are a lot of other components to consider, so there may be scenarios in which Redmi Note 11 Pro+ is actually better. Further, the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ has a faster charging technology (120W vs 55W).
Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus vs Xiaomi CIVI: Price
The starting price of the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ in China is €260/$300, while Xiaomi Civi starts from €343/$396. You can save a lot of money with the Redmi Note 11 Pro+, but the Xiaomi Civi wins this comparison due to its amazing design and display.
It isn’t too long until we see the much-rumoured Snapdragon 898 powered phones in the market. Rumours are rife that the next Qualcomm flagship chipset, a successor to the Snapdragon 888 will debut this year. However, the exact launch details were unknown. Today, the notorious Chinese tipster, DigitalChatStation has revealed that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 will launch by the end of this month.
According to the tipster, Qualcomm will announce the new flagship chipset this month and we can expect Snapdragon 898 powered phones to launch thereafter. The tipster said that several new machines have arrived on the internet for filing and it revealed that the sm8450(dubbed Snapdragon 898) with Samsung’s 4nm process will be launched this year and the sm8475(maybe called Snapdragon 898+) will launch in mid of 2022.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 is expected to run on dual 3400 architecture with Adreno’s 730 graphics processing unit. Additionally, it will bring the same octa-core chip with a frequency of 1.79GHz. The chipset can be overclocked by using higher power wattage.
Interestingly, we’ll see many smartphone manufacturers launch Snapdragon 898 powered phones soon. The first batch of companies includes Xiaomi, Huawei, Lenovo, Motorola, Vivo, Oppo, and the Korean giant Samsung.
Google’s Pixel 6 flagship series was announced earlier this year, with impressive specifications and a new look. Sadly, the phones are still plagued by a slew of issues, which Google is working to remedy. The phone now dials random contacts, which is an unexpected glitch reported by Pixel 6 owners. This isn’t limited to a single Pixel 6 smartphone, rather, many Pixel 6 owners have reported the same issue.
A Reddit thread has detailed this bug and revealed that the device was usually in the pocket or was left alone when called random contacts. That said, the main reason behind this was said to be Google Assistant, which apparently would have dialled random contacts by misinterpreting some noise. However, that was not the case as users also revealed that the smartphone was usually in a quiet place.
Some users learned that the smartphone dialled contacts when they were asleep at night. Although it does sound terrifying, it is also surprising to see such bugs in the flagship phones. Nonetheless, Google Assistant wasn’t the culprit as the phone was kept in a quiet environment. Well, some Pixel 6 owners disabled the Google Assistant to address this bug, however, it didn’t seem to help.
Unfortunately, there’s no official information available regarding this bug but we expect Google to fix it soon. Are you a Pixel 6 owner? If Yes, do let us know if you are facing the same issue.
High Hopes Labs an Israeli Tech start-up company has found a unique solution to the problem of carbon-capturing i.e. cleaning the atmosphere of carbon dioxide by using a balloon.
The company has devised a method to capture carbon in its solid form by sending balloons 15 kilometers (9 miles) above the surface of the earth to the edge of the stratosphere with a box that will serve as a carbon-capturing device.
Although carbon-capturing facilities exist, they use a tremendous amount of resources to capture and compress the carbon for recycling, which has proved to be counterproductive and expensive.
According to experts, freezing carbon is the most efficient way of extracting excessive carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, but this phenomenon only happens at -80 degrees Celsius, which is not possible on the surface of our planet naturally. But Scientists at High Hopes Labs have found a distinctive solution to naturally achieve this phenomenon in the stratosphere.
The company has already tested its system on a small scale and is aiming to build larger balloons within two years that can be deployed to remove a tonne of carbon dioxide at a cost below $100 which is highly economical in comparison to the existing technology which costs approximately $1000 for the same.
This solution to the problem of excess carbon dioxide comes at a time when climate change due to global warming is the foremost crisis being faced by humanity. Carbon Sinks is one of the main Agendas of COP26 which was recently held in Glasgow. The world could take a page from this innovative solution.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by an Helio G35 chipset running ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11. It is available with up to 4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and boasts an internal memory of 64GB. OPPO has provided the option of memory expansion in the form of a microSD card slot.
The OPPO A16k comes with a 4230mAh battery rechargeable via a microUSB port. Other features packed into this Smartphone are Dual sim capability, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Price and Availability
The OPPO A16k launched in the Philippines at a price of PHP 6,999 ($139 / Rs. 10,300) and comes in three color variants namely Black, White, and Blue. If OPPO follows its trend, the A16k may get an Indian release soon as a solid offering in the budget to mid-smartphone segment.
Ahead of its projected February 2022 launch of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, the first real-life pictures of the new device have surfaced online. The new images are coming on the heels of several renders and rumors concerning the S22 lineup. The photos further help to illuminate the flagship offering in the S22 lineup. The previous renders and specs details have revealed much about the S22 and the additional real-life photos reveal a few more details.
The pictures show the curved edges of the device, away from the previous speculation that it will have flat edges. The photos also confirm the presence of the S-Pen and there is a slot for slotting the S-Pen into the device. The camera setup includes a 108MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, a 10MP 3X telephoto module, and a 10MP 10X telephoto module.
The real-life photos show that the Galaxy S22 Ultra bears a closer semblance to the Galaxy note more than the Galaxy S series. The back of the S22 Ultra has a matte finish and six cutouts for the main camera setup, the laser autofocus module, as well as the LED flash.
As we await its February 2022 projected unveiling, more details will become available for the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, as well as the other smartphones on the S22 lineup.
A lot of 5G upper mid-range phones debuted in the second half of 2021, including brand new variants and new series of phones. Vivo T1 for example is the first phone from the Vivo T series, while Redmi Note 11 Pro+ is the first Pro+ variant from the Redmi Note lineup. But which phone is the most interesting in the upper-midrange segment? There are three very interesting choices and we decided to put them together in a specs comparison: OPPO Reno6 5G, Redmi Note 11 Pro+, and Vivo T1.

Design
Are you looking for the best and most original design? The answer is OPPO Reno6 5G. First of all, it has the best materials: the rear side is made of glass, while the frame is made of aluminum. Further, it has the OPPO Glow finish allowing for an opaque but brilliant glass back giving a very elegant and pleasing effect. The silver medal goes to Redmi Note 11 Pro+ sporting a glass back and a plastic frame. I do not like the Vivo T1 so much because it has a full plastic design and a lower screen to body ratio.
Display
On the paper, the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ has the most advanced display. It is an AMOLED panel with a 6.67-inch diagonal, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and the HDR10 certification improving the image quality on streaming platforms. The Vivo T1 has similar specifications but its panel is an IPS, which means less impressive colors if compared to the Redmi Note 11 Pro+. The OPPO Reno6 5G has an AMOLED display as well, but with a lower 90 Hz refresh rate and without the HDR10 certification. Note that OPPO Reno6 5G is the only one with an in-display fingerprint reader, while Redmi Note 11 Pro+ and Vivo T1 have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Specs & Software
If you are searching for the best hardware, then you should opt for the Vivo T1 without thinking twice. It is fueled by the amazing Snapdragon 778G mobile platform built at 6 nm and paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The second place belongs to the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ with a Dimensity 920 chipset, up to 8 GB of RAM, and up to 256 GB of native storage. The OPPO Reno6 5G has an inferior Dimensity 900 paired with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.1 storage. The phones run Android 11 with heavily customized UIs.
Camera
The most impressive camera setup on the front side belongs to the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ which includes a 108 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide camera, and a 2 MP macro camera. Both OPPO Reno6 5G and Vivo T1 come with a 64 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide lens, and a 2 MP macro camera, but the OPPO Reno6 5G has a brighter focal aperture for the main sensor and even a better selfie camera with a 32 MP resolution.
Battery
The phone with the biggest battery is the Vivo T1 sporting a capacity of 5000 mAh, but you should note that it has a less efficient IPS display, so it does not always guarantee the longest battery life. The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ wins the fast charging comparison with a power of 120W.
Price
The prices of Redmi Note 11 Pro+ begin at €260/$300 in China, Vivo T1 starts from €300/$347, and Reno6 costs about €350/$405. There is no definitive winner of this comparison and each device has its pro and cons: OPPO Reno6 5G has a better design and front camera, Redmi Note 11 Pro+ offers an advanced main camera and faster charging, and Vivo T1 has a bigger battery and superior hardware. Which one would you pick?
Ducati has unveiled its most advanced electric scooter yet, the Ducati Pro-III e-scooter and it is priced at €799 ($924). The new Pro-III e-scooter, even if it’s the company’s most advanced micro-mobility offering yet, falls short of what Ducati claims it can build.
Ducati says the Pro-III is its most technically advanced scooter in the Ducati Urban e-mobility lineup of products. It can be connected to the Ducati Urban e-mobility user app and also uses NFC technology. The technology allows the user to deploy a token that can start the model when brought close to the scooter’s display. This security measure ensures therefore that the e-scooter can only be operated by the person in possession of the token.
The NFC chip embedded inside the token, as well as the possibility of charging phones via the Pro-III USB charging ports are the major highlights of the new Ducati-branded e-scooter. The Pro-III has a 350W motor which can provide a top speed of 15.5 mph, which is far below the 150 mph top speeds Ducati claims it can achieve in its motorcycles. The Pro-III has a 468 Wh battery pack with a range of 31 miles, according to Ducati.

Ducati Pro III
It is noted that Ducati does not make any of these products on its own, but rather is enjoying brand allegiance from other manufacturers who seek to build on the name of the Ducati brand. There are even no concrete moves by Ducati to produce electric bikes in the short term. However, the company continues to leverage on a strong partnership with its collaborators which is reflected in its recent announcement before the launch of the Pro-III. It had announced that it will be the sole supplier of electric racing bikes for the MotoE racing series from 2023.
It is unclear whether Ducati will produce the high-speed racing e-bikes by 2023 or it has already inked some partnerships with capable manufacturers for the delivery of Ducati-branded racing e-bikes.
