Samsung takes a jab at iOS 26 and macOS 26’s familiar-looking design and AI

Apple just unveiled its latest software developments — from new names to a Liquid Glass design — and it caught the attention not only of its users but also of its biggest Android rival: Samsung. In fact, Samsung didn’t just watch from the sidelines — it joined in with mockery, calling out Apple’s “familiar” designs and underwhelming AI features.

“Customizable apps? Floating bars? That sleek glass UI? Looks… familiar 🤔,” reads a post from Samsung Mobile US on X. The Liquid Glass design does resemble Windows Vista’s Aero UI, and the new app icon styling in iOS 26 and macOS 26 arguably makes it harder to recognize apps or read text clearly.

Samsung also took the opportunity to flex its Galaxy AI, which already powers many of the features Apple is just now beginning to beta test.

“New to live translations? Welcome aboard! We’ve been translating text and speech in real-time for a while now… #GalaxyAI,” and “AI is coming to your watch? Cute. Ours already knows when you’re too tired to care 😴 #GalaxyAI,” read two other posts on Samsung’s official X account.

Apple’s WWDC stood apart from recent AI-heavy keynotes by Google and Samsung in one major way: Apple barely mentioned AI at all. Siri was referenced only twice during the entire 90-minute event. The Cupertino company appears to be treading carefully, emphasizing user privacy while slowly integrating AI — and that gives Samsung (and Google) more room to gloat, at least for now.

Xiaomi Smart Graphene Heater makes its global debut: Fast Warming & Built-in Safety

Xiaomi is bringing one of its smart home appliances to the global market. The Xiaomi Smart Graphene Heater is finally leaving the brand’s home market of China, and has started rolled out in Europe. It arrives with smart features, built-in safety functions, and rapid room warming. So let’s check it out.

Xiaomi Smart Graphene Heater: What does it offer?

The Chinese tech giant’s new smart heater arrives with a PTC ceramic heating with a graphene coating and far-infrared resonance tech (FIR). Thanks to this, Xiaomi claims that the Smart Graphene Heater can kick start heating in just seconds, which enables it to warm up your room faster. It also offers three different airflow modes for finer control over the output, along with a temperature control system.

Vivo X300 Ultra Leak: Brand’s Next Top Flagship May Borrow Sony Xperia 1’s Camera

Vivo‘s next top photography flagship just had its camera technology tipped in a new leak. The upcoming Vivo X300 Ultra might take camera photography to the next level with a camera sensor that is exclusive to Sony’s flagship smartphones. So here’s what you need to know.

Vivo X300 Ultra Tipped with Exclusive Sony Camera Tech

The Chinese tech giant’s upcoming photography flagship just surfaced in a fresh tip from known leaker Digital Chat Station. He recently claimed that the next gen Vivo X300 series is set to include four models, namely X300, X300 Pro, X300 Pro Mini, and X300 Ultra. In his latest Weibo post, DCS stated that the Vivo X300 Ultra will pack three larger camera sensors with a 200MP resolution.

Vivo X200 Ultra

But what’s more notable is the fact that the primary sensor supports a multifocal and continuous optical zoom function. To recall, the continuous optical zoom hardware has been seen before on Sony’s Xperia 1 series of flagship phones. These are exclusive to the Xperia 1s, like the latest Xperia 1 VII, which allows its telephoto shooter to offer the entire 85-170mm range (3.5x to 7.1x). So it’s not just two different sets of zooms but an actual moving part.

With the X300 Ultra also bringing this technology, it might be getting a custom Sony sensor for this technology. The Vivo X200 Ultra made its global debut not too long ago, so the X300 Ultra release is still a while away. It is also worth noting that this is still just an unconfirmed report despite DCS’s track record with leaks. So take this news with a pinch of salt for now.

OnePlus Nord 5 and Nord CE 5 could launch globally on July 8, leak suggests

After wrapping up its OnePlus 13s launch, OnePlus seems to be shifting attention to its mid-range lineup. A new leak from tipster Yogesh Brar claims that the company is preparing to announce the OnePlus Nord 5 and Nord CE 5 globally on July 8.

The information adds to growing speculation around the two smartphones. Both devices are expected to follow OnePlus’ usual mid-year refresh cycle. What’s more interesting is that early reports suggest these models could be repackaged versions of the recently released Ace 5 Ultra and Ace 5 Racing Edition, which were launched exclusively in China.

What to expect?

If the rumors hold up, the OnePlus Nord 5 might ship with a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen offering 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the device could be the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

It might have a 6,700mAh battery. On the optics front, the Nord 5 might feature a 50MP primary rear camera, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 16MP selfie camera.

OnePlus Nord 4
OnePlus Nord 4

Meanwhile, the Nord CE 5 may come slightly toned down but still competitive. It’s rumored to include a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The chipset could be the Dimensity 9400e, which is a slightly less powerful variant compared to the Nord 5’s.

The CE model might house an even larger 7,100mAh battery and could feature a 50MP primary rear camera. According to reports, it will also have an IR blaster and a dedicated Plus Key shortcut.

As usual, regional variants of the phones may differ in terms of specifications or features. With a July 8 launch date being floated, more concrete information should surface in the coming weeks.

Oppo K13x leaked retail box reveals front design

The Oppo K13x is expected to launch by the end of June 2025, with some significant improvements over the K12x, which launched back in July last year. In the latest news, the retail box of the phone has been leaked (via 91mobiles), offering us a glimpse of the phone’s front design.

Image: 91mobiles

Judging from the retail box, it appears that the side bezels will be slightly slimmer than those of its predecessor. The box also confirms that the phone will support 5G connectivity. For the uninitiated, this is an entry-level phone and is expected to be priced around ₹15,000. For reference, the 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB models of the K12x were priced at ₹12,999 and ₹15,999, respectively.

While the pricing is expected to remain similar, speculations point toward a major improvement in build and durability. Oppo recently teased the K13x as a “durable performer,” reportedly “designed for users who demand resilience and performance in equal measure.”

To recall, the K12x is powered by the 6nm Dimensity 6300 chipset and a 5100mAh battery. The recently launched K13 (currently priced at ₹17,999 on Flipkart) packs a massive 7,000mAh silicon carbon battery, and this new battery technology is also expected to enhance the endurance of the K13x by a significant margin.

Surprisingly, Google Play Console suggests the K13x will be powered by the same chip as its predecessor, and it will also have a 4GB RAM variant. Just like the previous model, it’s expected to feature an HD+ IPS LCD display.

Overall, it seems Oppo has focused on endurance and durability rather than innovative features or raw performance. Nonetheless, much of what’s mentioned above is based on leaks and rumors, and Oppo will likely make things official as we inch closer to launch. So stick around.

MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9500 chip may hit the market before the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2

MediaTek appears to be racing ahead of Qualcomm this year as well for the next gen flagship processors. The upcoming Dimensity 9500 SoC could launch before the anticipated Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. The new chipset likely offers improvements in performance, AI processing, and much more. So here’s what we know.

Next-Gen Dimensity 9500 May Arrive Before Snapdragon 8 Elite 2

Last year, both the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite debuted in the market in the month of October. But the Dimensity processor arrived a couple of days ahead of the Snapdragon competitor. A fresh leak now hints that the new Dimensity 9500 will continue to hold this announcement lead. Qualcomm has already confirmed the 23rd September 2025 event date for the Snapdragon Summit. During this conference, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 is expected to make its global debut.

While an official launch date for the Dimensity 9500 is still unknown, known tipster, Digital Chat Station, claims that it will arrive before the Snapdragon processor. So, it might drop earlier in September 2025. With these chips being unveiled, the next round of flagship Android smartphones are expected to hit the market as well, bringing cutting edge specs and performance.

To recall, the Oppo Find X8 and Vivo X200 series featured the Dimensity 9400, so we can expect the Find X9 and X300 lineup to pack the Dimensity 9500. Similarly, the Galaxy S25 series, OnePlus 13, and others came with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, and should bring the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 to their successors. Keep in mind that this is still just an unconfirmed report, so take this news with a pinch of salt for now.

Sony Announces Project Defiant: First Wireless Fighting Game Controller for PS5

Sony Interactive Entertainment announced Project Defiant, its first wireless fighting game controller. The controller works both wirelessly and wired, with features made for competitive fighting games.

Sony Project Defiant

Made for Fighting Games

Project Defiant has a digital stick that Sony built themselves. You can swap out the limit gates without tools – it comes with square, circle, and octagon shapes for different fighting styles. The controller uses mechanical switch buttons and has a touchpad like the DualSense controller. Sony designed it to handle long gaming sessions and tough matches. You can turn on your PlayStation 5 wirelessly by holding the PS button.

Travel Case

Project Defiant comes with a Sling Carry Case. The case protects the digital stick with a lever gap during transport, making it easy to take to tournaments or gaming sessions.

Huawei Pura 80 Pro and Pro+: display, design, and camera specs leaked

Huawei is set to launch its flagship Pura 80 series on June 11 and has been teasing it as a camera powerhouse. Now prolific leaker Digital Char Station has revealed some more interesting information about the Pro and Pro+ models’ build and design.

Alleged Huawei Pura 80 Ultra in the hands of a company executive

According to DCS, the Pura 80 Pro+ will feature a slightly curved display paired with a curved metal middle frame. This design should offer a more comfortable grip compared to rivals that use a completely flat display and frame.

The display includes a single punch-hole selfie camera smack in the center, which might mean Huawei’s ditching its fancy 3D facial recognition tech for another year. The Pura 80 Pro could sport a similar vibe, though only the Ultra’s rumored to get a slick tandem OLED panel.

Now, the cameras? They’re stealing the show. Tipster Digital Chat Station says both the Pro and Pro+ might rock Huawei’s new 1-inch 50MP main sensor, paired with a 24mm variable aperture lens—a step up from the 25mm in the Pura 70 Pro+. Plus, there’s talk of a periscope zoom lens, now at 89mm instead of 93mm.

Interestingly, it’s said to be equivalent to 3.7x optical zoom compared to the 3.5x in the Pura 70 Pro and Pura 70 Pro+. The brand has already hinted at a 2x (48mm) and 3.7x (89mm) telephoto setup, and is rumored to equip the series with a 50MP 1/1.28-inch sensor.

Nothing Phone (3) leaks in first render, looks polarizing

Nothing is set to launch its flagship Phone (3) next month. So far, the company has revealed only snippets of the device through a series of teasers. But today, we’re getting our first clear look at the Phone (3), thanks to a leak from tipster Max Jambor.

Spoiler: the Glyph interface is gone

The leaked image shared by Jambor shows the rear of the Phone (3), and it’s a pretty significant departure from the aesthetics of its predecessors.

As previously confirmed by Nothing, the Phone (3) no longer features the signature Glyph LED lights. Instead, Nothing is reportedly opting for a dot matrix display on the back. That’s not visible in this image, though.

We are also curious about how this new interface will actually work and whether it’ll be as interactive as the Glyph system tried to be.

A bigger change on the Phone (3) is the new camera layout. It’s not just different, it’s divisive. The three rear sensors are layered over a new back design that’s sure to turn heads.

The overall design still keeps Nothing’s signature transparent aesthetic, complete with exposed screws, but the vibe here is less sci-fi, more industrial.

Other notable design details include squared-off edges and black-accented buttons on this white variant.

There’s still a lot we don’t know about the Phone (3). If the leaks are true, Nothing Phone (3) will be a flagship offering with Snapdragon 8 Elite under the hood.

It might come with a 6.77-inch LTPO AMOLED display and a camera setup headlined by a 50MP main sensor. The Phone (3) could also be the first Nothing phone to launch with Android 16 out of the box.

The device will debut at an event on July 1 alongside Nothing’s first over-the-ear headphones.

Oppo Find X9 series September launch expected, entire lineup may arrive with ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, periscope camera, and more

Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has been consistently leaking details about Oppo’s next flagship series, the Find X9 lineup. According to his Weibo posts, Oppo is currently testing a range of premium features that are expected to be standard across the entire Find X9 family, which includes the X9, X9+, X9 Pro, and possibly the X9 Ultra.

Oppo Find X9 series key details tipped

The tipster revealed that the Find X9 series is likely to offer ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensors for improved biometric accuracy, replacing the short-focus fingerprint solution seen on previous models. All models are said to support wireless charging and are being tested with IP68/69 dust and water resistance levels. Additionally, the entire series is also being tested with a periscope telephoto camera.

While the Find X9, X9+, and X9 Pro are likely to be powered by the Dimensity 9500 chipset built on TSMC’s 3nm N3P process, the Ultra model is tipped to use the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor. As per a new leak by DCS, the new Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 and Dimensity 9500-powered flagship phones will debut by the end of September in China. Hence, it appears that the X9, X9+, and X9 Pro will break cover in September, while the X9 Ultra may debut in Q1 2026.

Reports have revealed that the Find X9 Pro may feature a large 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens instead of the dual periscope cameras seen on the Find X8 Pro. This could significantly enhance zoom and macro photography. The X9 is expected to arrive as a compact flagship phone equipped with a flat 6.3-inch display. The X9+, X9 Pro, and X9 Ultra are expected to feature 6.59-inch, 6.78-inch, and 6.82-inch flat displays, respectively.
