Casio has released a new model in its MT-G line, the MTG-B2000YBD-2A. It was announced in April 2025 and launched in Japan in May. The watch combines carbon fiber and metal parts to stay strong while keeping the weight low. It has a black and blue-gray color scheme, with a metal band and a bezel made from stacked carbon and glass fiber sheets.

It’s also built to resist shock, centrifugal force, and vibration, as part of Casio’s Triple G Resist design. The dial has an LED light. The battery charges using light through Casio’s Tough Solar system. When fully charged, the watch runs for about five months without more light.
It uses a quartz movement (Module No. 5636) and keeps time using both radio signals (Multi-Band 6) and Bluetooth. You can connect it to your phone through the Casio Watches app. The app lets you adjust settings, set alarms, update the time, and locate your phone. The watch shows two time zones and supports 27 world time zones with automatic daylight saving time.
It also has a stopwatch, a countdown timer, a daily alarm, a full auto-calendar, and a hand shift feature that moves the hands out of the way when needed.
Pricing & availability
The MTG-B2000YBD-2A is available in Japan for ¥181,500, which is about $1,280. Casio has not said when or if it will release the watch in other countries.

Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Water Purifier S1 (1000G) in China, a high-performance smart RO system tailored for modern connected households. It is now available for pre-order on JD.com at a price of 1,599 yuan ($220), with official sales starting at 10:00 AM on May 8.

The render shows a September 23 date on the lock screen, and according to Android Headlines, the phone could launch on September 24. However, that seems unlikely given the brand’s consistent annual release cycle over the last four generations. There’s another odd detail—the date on the lock screen falls on a Tuesday, not a Thursday, which suggests it was likely chosen at random rather than hinting at an Easter egg. That said, we can expect more concrete details around specs and pricing as the launch date draws closer.
Xiaomi might be preparing to launch a third tablet in its Pad 7 lineup, but it may not be called the Pad 7 Max after all. A new Bluetooth SIG certification suggests the device could go by a different name. The Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra, to be specific.
The tablet is listed with the model number 25032RP42C on the Bluetooth SIG database, which is typically one of the final steps before a product’s commercial launch.

What to expect?
The change in branding from “Max” to “Ultra” doesn’t necessarily mean a shift in strategy, though. From what’s been leaked and speculated so far, this is still expected to be the top-tier model in the Pad 7 family, above both the standard Pad 7 and the Pad 7 Pro.
It will reportedly come with a 14-inch OLED display featuring narrow bezels and a centered hole-punch cutout. Unfortunately, the rest of the specs remain a mystery.
If Xiaomi is following last year’s playbook, the Pad 7 Ultra could build on the Pad 6 Max’s foundation. The model shipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, a 14-inch 2.8K LCD display at 144Hz, HDR10+ support, and a battery north of 10,000mAh.
The Pad 6 Max also packs a quad-speaker array, dual rear cameras, and reverse charging support.
None of that is confirmed for the new model, of course. But with certifications stacking up, it likely won’t be long before Xiaomi makes the Pad 7 Ultra official.
