Now, a <a href="https://twitter.com/evleaks/status/1439939765974011919">new leak</a> from tipster Evan Blass confirms the upcoming Moto E40 smartphone&#8217;s ket features.</p>
<p>The leak confirms that the smartphone will come with a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a high <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/90hz">90Hz refresh rate</a>. It is also confirmed to be powered by an octa-core processor but the exact variant has not been revealed.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-414002 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Moto-E40-Poster-Leak.jpeg?x44794" alt="Moto E40 Poster Leak" width="301" height="634" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Moto-E40-Poster-Leak.jpeg 301w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Moto-E40-Poster-Leak-142x300.jpeg 142w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Moto-E40-Poster-Leak-199x420.jpeg 199w" sizes="(max-width: 301px) 100vw, 301px" /></p>
<p>The phone is likely to come packed with a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/unisoc">Unisoc chipset</a>. There&#8217;s a possibility that it&#8217;s Unisoc T606 that&#8217;s powering the Moto E20. It is also expected to be running the Android Go Edition operating system.</p>
<p>In the camera department, the Moto E40 will likely have a triple-camera setup with 48-megapixel being the primary sensor. If the details are indeed true, then the phone will be the first to have a 90Hz refresh rate and a 48MP triple camera setup on a device running the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/android-go">Android Go operating system</a>.</p>
<p>A few days ago, the smartphone was spotted on benchmarking platform Geekbench which revealed that it scored 352 and 1352 points respectively, on single-core and multi-core tests. The same listing also revealed that the device will come with a 5,000mAh battery and have support for 10W charging.</p>
<p>When looked closely, the specifications of the upcoming Moto E40 smartphone look quite similar to what the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/motorola-moto-g20/">Moto G20</a> packs. To know for sure what the phone has to offer, we&#8217;ll have to wait for the official launch. Given the number of leaks surrounding the device, we expect it to get launched in the coming weeks.</p>

<p>The new Moto G 5G phone will be the company&#8217;s first handset to feature the newer and faster networking standard. According to the leak, the device will sport a 48 megapixel primary camera on the rear and a dual punch hole selfie camera on the front. The leak also shared the image of the device that showcases its square quad camera module on the rear along with the iconic Moto branding.</p>
<h6 class="related"><strong>Editor&#8217;s Pick: <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/06/30/coloros-7-arriving-for-oppo-r15-r15-dream-mirror-a9-a9x-a31-a91-in-july/">ColorOS 7 arriving for the Chinese Oppo R15, R15 Dream Mirror, A9, A9x, A31 &amp; A91 in July</a></strong></h6>
<p>Furthermore, the device will have its fingerprint sensor housed on the right side of the device rather than an in-display or its traditional rear mounted fingerprint scanner. Unfortunately, apart from the image and its primary rear camera, other details have not been divulged. Since it is an unconfirmed leak, it is advised to take it with a pinch of salt for now.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-329769" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Moto-G-5G-Evan-Blass-on-Patreon.jpg?x44794" alt="Moto" width="700" height="672" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Moto-G-5G-Evan-Blass-on-Patreon.jpg 700w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Moto-G-5G-Evan-Blass-on-Patreon-300x288.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Moto-G-5G-Evan-Blass-on-Patreon-696x668.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Moto-G-5G-Evan-Blass-on-Patreon-438x420.jpg 438w" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></p>
<p>However, Motorola had been expected to launch a 5G smartphone and its budget Moto G series might be a good place to start off. Interestingly, the news of the new Moto G 5G phone arrives just a couple of weeks after <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/06/17/the-snapdragon-690-is-the-first-600-series-5g-chipset/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">the announcement of Qualcomm&#8217;s Snapdragon 690 SoC</a>. Moto G series generally arrive with Snapdragon 600 series processors, so the device might sport a 600 series 5G chip as well.</p>

Both companies have released amazing devices that have helped propel them to the top of the list. In spite of the success, Huawei won&#8217;t be resting on its oars next year, as a new leak has revealed key info about the next gen P-series.</p>
<p>For the Huawei P11 series, the camera might just be the selling point since most of the other key features it will have are already present in the Mate 10 series and Honor V10 such as a full-screen display and the Kirin 970 processor.</p>
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true">
<p lang="en" dir="ltr">Is the next Huawei P-series going to be an imaging powerhouse? A digital artist at one of the company&#39;s creative agencies added these &quot;PCE Series&quot; ads to their portfolio &#8212; claiming 40MP, 3 lens rear (5x hybrid zoom) + 24MP selfie, all Leica-co-developed. <a href="https://t.co/t8w3VlL55L">pic.twitter.com/t8w3VlL55L</a></p>

<p>According to an image posted by Evan Blass (@evleaks) on Twitter, the next gen Huawei P-series will come with Pro triple-lens Leica cameras with 40MP and 5x hybrid zoom. It will also have a 24MP Pro Selfie Camera with low light enhancement for clearer and sharper details.</p>
<p>Huawei will also be taking a focus at low-light imaging as the picture also mentions a Pro Night Mode. Using new sensors and optics, the cameras will be able to take in 100% more light for better night photos.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-160876 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Huawei-PCE-Series.jpg?x44794" alt="Next Gen Huawei P-Series Camera Details" width="2047" height="808" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Huawei-PCE-Series.jpg 2047w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Huawei-PCE-Series-300x118.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Huawei-PCE-Series-768x303.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Huawei-PCE-Series-1024x404.jpg 1024w" sizes="(max-width: 2047px) 100vw, 2047px" /></p>
<p>The cameras will also take advantage of the AI Camera Assist feature that helps with scene recognition, auto framing, and mode suggestions for the best results.</p>
<p>According to Evan Blass, the image was added to Huawei&#8217;s “PCE Series” portfolio by an artist from one of Huawei&#8217;s creative agencies. While there is no confirmation yet about the details, the info does look legit.</p>

The images reveal all there is about the design, so come Wednesday the only new info will be the software features of both phones.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-151631" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Google-Pixel-2-XL-case.jpg?x44794" alt="Google Pixel 2 XL encased" width="711" height="1817" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Google-Pixel-2-XL-case.jpg 711w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Google-Pixel-2-XL-case-117x300.jpg 117w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Google-Pixel-2-XL-case-401x1024.jpg 401w" sizes="(max-width: 711px) 100vw, 711px" /></p>
<p>Evan had earlier shared an image of the Pixel 2 XL wrapped up in a case before releasing more photos on his website, <em>Venture Beat</em>. The photo gives us a good look at the front of the phone and confirms some features earlier reported.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-151630" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Google-Pixel-2-XL-front.jpg?x44794" alt="" width="1007" height="2048" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Google-Pixel-2-XL-front.jpg 1007w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Google-Pixel-2-XL-front-148x300.jpg 148w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Google-Pixel-2-XL-front-768x1562.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Google-Pixel-2-XL-front-504x1024.jpg 504w" sizes="(max-width: 1007px) 100vw, 1007px" /></p>
<p>The Pixel 2 XL will indeed come with front facing speakers. While the top speaker/earpiece is closer to the edge of the bezel, the bottom speaker is a few mm away from it. At the top left corner sits the front facing camera.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-151629" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Pixel-2-XL-panda.png?x44794" alt="Pixel 2 XL panda" width="1024" height="992" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Pixel-2-XL-panda.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Pixel-2-XL-panda-300x291.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Pixel-2-XL-panda-768x744.png 768w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></p>
<p>The image also confirms the report of a new Pixel launcher. As you can see, the search bar is now in between the icon dock and the navigational buttons.</p>
<p>A second image gives us a better look at the 6&#8221; QHD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. With its rounded corners just like that of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/lg-g6/">LG G6</a> , the Pixel 2 XL doesn&#8217;t hide the fact that its made by LG. A third Pixel 2 XL image shows the device in the panda color we saw a few weeks ago, with the power button in orange.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-151628" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Pixel-2-lineup.jpg?x44794" alt="Pixel 2 lineup" width="578" height="289" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Pixel-2-lineup.jpg 578w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Pixel-2-lineup-300x150.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 578px) 100vw, 578px" /></p>
<p>The HTC-made Pixel 2 with its 5-inch FHD display also makes an appearance. It maintains the 16:9 aspect ratio of its predecessor but gets dual front facing speakers.</p>
<p>The Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will be powered by the Snapdragon 835 mobile platform and run Android 8 Oreo out of the box. They will have 4GB of RAM with either 64GB or 128GB of storage. The rear cameras are 12MP sensors on both devices too.</p>

<p>The pricing is said to be $649/$749 for the Pixel 2 and $849/$949 for the Pixel 2 XL. The former will go on sale on October 19 and the Pixel 2 XL will be available for purchase on November 15.</p>
<p>The 2nd-gen Pixel launch will begin at 9:00 AM PST (4:00 PM GMT) and will be live-streamed on YouTube.</p>

One of the interesting parts is the design stage, where several design ideas are submitted and only one is chosen. Sometimes we get to see some of these designs leak after the product is released, while at other times, it is before the product is even out.</p>
<p>These design images provided by Evan Blass (@evleaks) are said to be old mock-ups of Project Joan a.k.a LG V30. It is important to note that LG may no longer be using this design and the LG V30 may look entirely different. However, the design is interesting and is one that has never been seen before on a smartphone.</p>
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true">
<p lang="en" dir="ltr">Weekend bonus: this is an old-ish mockup of Project Joan, a.k.a. the LG V30. Not clear if the project is still headed in this direction. [1] <a href="https://t.co/k5jNJ7DyLz">pic.twitter.com/k5jNJ7DyLz</a></p>
<p>&mdash; Evan Blass (@evleaks) <a href="https://twitter.com/evleaks/status/868449814559821824?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">May 27, 2017</a></p></blockquote>
<p><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script></p>
<p>First thing the leak reveals is the codename for the V30 which is Project Joan. So there&#8217;s a chance that other leaks in the future might surface under this name.</p>
<p>Going into the design, we see LG V30 sports the slide design of old that was brought back by the BlackBerry Priv. However, instead of sliding upwards to reveal a physical keyboard, we get a secondary display.</p>
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true">
<p lang="en" dir="ltr">Here&#39;s how the device was envisioned to look with the secondary display fully extended. [2] <a href="https://t.co/HNkZErj7xB">pic.twitter.com/HNkZErj7xB</a></p>
<p>&mdash; Evan Blass (@evleaks) <a href="https://twitter.com/evleaks/status/868450145213480960?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">May 27, 2017</a></p></blockquote>
<p><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script></p>
<p>The secondary display serves a number of functions depending on the app in use as seen from follow up tweets. It can serve as a shortcut panel for a number of apps. In the image above, we see it holding a bunch of Google apps.</p>
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true">
<p lang="en" dir="ltr">Finally, several use-case scenarios for the second screen. [3] <a href="https://t.co/ZKucMOScam">pic.twitter.com/ZKucMOScam</a></p>
<p>&mdash; Evan Blass (@evleaks) <a href="https://twitter.com/evleaks/status/868465911434551296?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">May 27, 2017</a></p></blockquote>
<p><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script></p>
<p>In a third tweet, we see the secondary display take on a number of functions: as a sub-menu for a number of apps; a keyboard for a chat app, and an extension of the main screen when its locked. In the very first image, it even serves as a sort-of always-on display when you slide down the phone.</p>
<p style="text-align: center"><span style="color: #ff0000">READ MORE:</span> <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/04/29/images-lg-g6-mini-smaller-5-4-inch-189-display-surface-launching-soon/">Images of LG G6 Mini With Smaller 5.4-inch 18:9 Display Surface, Launching Soon?</a><span id="more-133435"></span></p>
<p>Another interesting thing about this design of the LG V30 is the camera design at the back. If you take a closer look, there seems to be three camera sensors and a LED flash in that setup. The phone is also missing a fingerprint sensor. LG doesn&#8217;t use a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, so it can&#8217;t possibly be embedded in the power button. Since this is just a possible design, we can forgive these omissions.</p>
<p>What do you think of the design? Hit or miss?</p>

Today they have been followed by that of the Huawei P10, courtesy of Evan Blass.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">The Huawei P10 and P10 Plus will both be unveiled next week at Barcelona. The new devices are the successors to last year&#8217;s Huawei P9 and P9 Plus and bring along new and improved features.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">The main difference between both devices are their displays. Both feature 5.5-inch displays but only the P10 Plus gets the dual-curved treatment. The P10 will instead sport a flat display.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">The leaked image confirms that the device will be available in new and attractive colors. The image shows the blue, gold and green variants and we expect there should be more. The P9 is available in eight different colors, so chances are more colors will be announced in future.</p>
<p><figure id="attachment_118422" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-118422" style="width: 900px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="wp-image-118422 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Huawei-P10-Leak.jpg?x44794" alt="Huawei P10 Leak" width="900" height="330" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Huawei-P10-Leak.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Huawei-P10-Leak-300x110.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Huawei-P10-Leak-768x282.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-118422" class="wp-caption-text">Huawei P10</figcaption></figure></p>

<p style="text-align: justify">Other differences between both devices are the camera setup and fingerprint scanner. Both have dual-cameras and according to leaks are the same sensors. However, the LED flash and laser focus module are positioned differently. The flash and laser focus module are stacked on top of one another in the P10 but are standing vertically in the P10 Plus. For the fingerprint scanner, the P10 Plus has its own on the rear which is a little above where the Huawei logo is on the Huawei P10. The P10 on the other hand settles for a physical home button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-117267" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/ZTE-Quartz.jpg?x44794" alt="ZTE Quartz" width="338" height="364" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/ZTE-Quartz.jpg 338w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/ZTE-Quartz-279x300.jpg 279w" sizes="(max-width: 338px) 100vw, 338px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: justify">For the design of the watch, ZTE is following the steps of other smartwatch manufacturers by giving it a round face. The single available image shows the ZTE Quartz has just one button on the right and the bezel also doesn&#8217;t look like it rotates. While this unit does have a black and blue rubber strap and a silver colored face, there is a high chance of more color options being available when it launches.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">The ZTE Quartz will work with devices running Android 4.3 and up and iPhones running iOS 8.2 and above.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify">The watch looks really nice but we can&#8217;t compare it to any of the other watches launching soon like the <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/2017/01/28/clearer-images-lg-lg-watch-style-leaked-online/">LG Watch Style</a> and LG Watch Sport as there are still a lot of unknown details. The ZTE Quartz is expected to be announced at MWC 2017.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify">Images of the watches were leaked recently but they were blurry and might have made it difficult to appreciate their beauty. Yesterday, Evan Blass (@evleaks) posted a new set of pictures of the Watch Style that are way clearer and show more  details.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-116411" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/LG-Watch-Style.jpg?x44794" alt="LG Watch Style" width="1100" height="1200" /></p>
<p style="text-align: justify">The Watch Style is the smaller of the two and has a 1.2-inch OLED display with a 360 x 360 resolution. Unlike the Watch Sport which has two physical buttons and a digital crown button, the LG Watch Style has only the latter. The pictures show the watch in two color variants: a Silver version with khaki-colored straps and a Rose Gold version with cream-colored straps.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">LG&#8217;s Watch Style has an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of 67. So apart from being dust proof, you can also immerse it in water with a depth of between 15cm and 1 meter for 30 minutes. The Watch Style is said to have 512MB RAM, 4GB ROM, and a 240mAh battery.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify">The LG Watch Sport and Watch Style are made in conjunction with Google and have a deeper integration with Google Assistant. Both watches will launch on February 9 when Google unveils Android Wear 2.0 and will be available for purchase the next day. There is no news yet on how much each of LG&#8217;s watches will cost.</p>

We have also been getting a steady stream of leaks of the new device. Today, we have a new render of the upcoming device posted by Evan Blass showing phone in purple which is not a colour common on devices nowadays.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-103683 size-full" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Huawei-Mate-9.png?x44794" alt="Mate 9" width="406" height="561" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Huawei-Mate-9.png 406w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Huawei-Mate-9-217x300.png 217w" sizes="(max-width: 406px) 100vw, 406px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: justify">The render apart from sporting a unique colour which if I&#8217;m correct, has appeared only on the Xiaomi Mi 5 this year, also shows a couple of details. First, it is important to mention that this unit is said to be the Manhattan version as there is a rumour that a dual-curved screen model code-named &#8221;Long Island&#8221; is also in the works.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">The render shows that Huawei is keeping the 3.5mm jack which is a good thing. There is also another &#8221;hole&#8221; on the opposite side which we believe to be an IR blaster. The volume rocker and power button are positioned on the right and there&#8217;s the manufacturer&#8217;s name sitting on the chin in font.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">The back is where the action is. The dual camera housing which is raised by a few mm has the <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/leica/">LEICA</a> branding on it, and the camera setup is flanked on both sides by the LED flash and laser focus. Right above the camera is the secondary microphone and below it, the fingerprint scanner. The render also confirms the use of a USB Type-C port. The speaker grille cut outs on the Mate 9 also appears to be longer than that of the Mate 8.</p>
<p><figure id="attachment_103684" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-103684" style="width: 835px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-103684" src="http://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Mate-8-speaker-grille.jpg?x44794" alt="Mate 8 Speaker Grille" width="835" height="176" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Mate-8-speaker-grille.jpg 835w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Mate-8-speaker-grille-300x63.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Mate-8-speaker-grille-768x162.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 835px) 100vw, 835px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-103684" class="wp-caption-text">Mate 8 Speaker Grille</figcaption></figure></p>

<p style="text-align: justify">This render looks good and we hope there truly is a purple variant because the world is tired of rose gold and champagne gold and pink gold and all the other gold variants out there.</p>
