Sony will reportedly launch the Xperia XA3 and XA3 Ultra soon even though the Xperia XA 2 and XA2 Ultra was launched earlier this year. Ahead of the supposed unveiling, the renders of the Xperia XA3 has appeared online showing the design from all angles

The renders are actually CAD-based renders created by @OnLeaks and it is even available in a 360-degree video. The video shows the device will come with an 18:9 aspect ratio display. The device is expected to come with a 5.9-inch FHD+ display having a resolution of 1080 x 2160 resolution. The device will also have a dimension of 155.7 x 68.3 x 8.4mm but there will be a bump at the camera aspect which will have a thickness of 8.9mm.

The Xperia XA3 is also tipped to pack a side-mounted fingerprint sensor as can be seen on the render. The fingerprint sensor will be located on the right side in between the volume rocker and power button. It also features a USB Type-C port. The device comes with a dual rear camera setup aligned horizontally and centrally located. At the top of the camera will be the LED flash.

As far as the specs go,  Sony Xperia XA3 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE octa-core processor which is an upgrade over the SD 630 chipset on the Xperia XA2. The device will have 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage on it top variant. It is expected to launch in the coming months but could be unveiled at CES 2019.

It has arrived as the successor of the Xperia XZ2 that was unveiled earlier this year. The Xperia XZ3 is first flagship phone from the company to feature a 6-inch display. The handset is packed with impressive specs and it is the first phone to come preloaded with Android 9 Pie.

Sony Xperia XZ3 Specifications and Features

The Xperia XZ3 features an elongated body with reduced top and bottom bezels. It is equipped with a 7000-series aluminum frame that increases the durability of the phone. The XZ3 is fitted with a 6-inch OLED HDR+ notch-less screen that is curved towards the edges. It supports an aspect ratio of 18:9 and QHD+ resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels. Like the other Xperia flagship phones, the XZ3’s screen is equipped with Sony Bravia TV image processing technology. The front and rear sides of the phone are flanked with Gorilla Glass 5 panels. The handset measures 158 x 73 x 9.9mm and weighs 193 grams.

The Snapdragon 845 SoC and 4 GB of RAM are the driving force of the Xperia XZ3. It has a native UFS 2.1 storage of 64 GB. A 3,300mAh battery that supports fast charging through USB-C will power the smartphone. The handset is also equipped with support for Qi wireless charging and Quick Charge 3.0. The XZ3 runs on the all new Android 9 Pie OS. For one-handed operation, the Japanese manufacturer has include Side Sense that gives access to key apps by double-tapping on the side of XZ3.

Debunking all rumors that claimed that it will be equipped with dual rear cameras, the Sony Xperia XZ3 features a single rear camera of 19-megapixel with f/1.8 aperture. The rear snapper supports 960fps slow-motion video shooting and 4K HDR technology. The handset features a dedicated hardware button to launch the camera. For shooting selfies, it is equipped with 13-megapixel front camera.

The XZ3 offers Hi-Res audio through its S-Force Front Surround Sound speakers. The other features of the smartphone include single / dual SIM versions, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 4G VoLTE, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0 and USB-C. It does not feature a 3.5mm audio jack. Sony is expected to launch the Xperia XZ3 tomorrow. Less than 24 hours before the announcement, the device has been seen on Geekbench. Apart from the benchmark result, official renders have also surfaced online.

The Sony Xperia XZ3 is powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor and has 4GB of RAM. It is also shown to be running Android 9 which means it should be the first phone to launch with Android Pie out of the box. The phone which is benchmarked as the Sony H8416 scored 2330 points and 8665 points in the single-core and multi-core tests respectively.

Roland Quandt of Winfuture.de has also gotten his hands on official renders that show the Xperia XZ3 in Forest Green, Silver White, Bordeaux Red, and Black.

The Xperia XZ3 is said to have a screen resolution of 2880 x 1440 with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The bezels are not super thin compared to the competition but it has front-facing stereo speakers.

Just like the Xperia XZ2, the Xperia XZ3 has a single rear camera with a laser focus module and LED flash at the top. There is also a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner which is positioned in the middle of the device. The rear camera is a 19MP sensor while the one in front is a 13MP sensor.

The Xperia XZ3 has also been reported to have a squeezable frame similar to that of the HTC U12. Details about the functions baked into the action are still unknown but it is said to act as a shutter button when taking pictures though that seems to be useless since there is a dedicated hardware camera key.

Sony will announce the Xperia XZ3 at IFA Berlin tomorrow at 1 PM CET.

The Xperia XZ2 came with 4 GB of RAM, but the successor model is expected to arrive with 6 GB of RAM. It will have an internal storage of 128 GB and a microSD card slot for additional storage.

By mid-November, OnePlus may announce the OnePlus 6T smartphone. Honor may rival it by launching the Honor V11 smartphone around the same time.

December

360 Mobiles may announce the 360 N8 flagship by mid-December. Honor may introduce the Honor Magic 2 as the successor for Honor Magic that was announced in December 2016. The leakster has further claimed Apple 12 that powers the forthcoming 2018 iPhones is a 7nm SoC. The 7nm Kirin 980 SoC is expected to fuel Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Honor V11 and Honor Magic 2 smartphones. Rest of the phones are speculated to feature the 10nm Snapdragon 845 SoC. However, it seems unlikely that the OPPO R17 and Vivo X22 will arrive with SD845 SoC.

It features a 5.7-inch display that produces Full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. This means that the display of Sony H8416 will deliver an aspect ratio of 18:9.

An octa-core processor that clocks at 2.7 GHz powers the smartphone. Since it is equipped with Adreno 630, it is powered by Snapdragon 845. The SoC is coupled with 6 GB of RAM and it has an internal storage of 64 GB.

When it comes to camera, the GFXBench listing shows that the smartphone is equipped 47-megapixel rear camera. There is a front-facing camera of 12-megapixel. Sony has recently unveiled IMX586 48-megapixel sensor. So, the 47-megapixel sensor on the Sony H8416 could be the newly announced Sony camera sensor.

Recently, the case renders of the upcoming Sony flagship Xperia XZ3 surfaced online which showed the phone’s new design. However, as suspected, the images were fake. Now, tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks) shared new 360-degree renders of Sony Xperia XZ3, revealing the new updated design.

The new renders of the smartphone revealed that the front will come with a tall full-screen display with 18:9 aspect ratio. While the phone has a taller display and thin bezels on the sides, the top and the bottom bezels are pretty big. On the bottom bezel, there’s Sony branding.

From the images, it seems that the phone will come with a single camera sensor on the back, along with an LED flash. Just below the camera module, there’s a circular fingerprint sensor for added security. On the right side, there’s a volume rocker and power button. There’s a USB port on the bottom and it seems that Sony has ditched the 3.5mm headphone jack.

The glass bodied smartphone has rounded corners, which seems like a welcome design change compared to the usual rectangular slab type design. The phone, which measures 158.3 x 73.08 x 9.9/10.1 mm, is expected to come with wireless charging support.

Previous leaks related to the smartphone revealed that the Sony Xperia XZ3 will come with a 5.7-inch Full HD+ display with 2160 x 1080 pixels screen resolution, just like its predecessor. Under the hood, it’ll be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with 6GB RAM.

The phone will be offered in two storage options — 64GB and 128GB and there’ll be a microSD card slot which will enable users to further expand the phone’s storage capacity. Contrary to the new information, the previous report suggested dual camera setup on the back, consisting of a 19MP primary sensor and a 12MP secondary sensor.

The Geekbench listing of H8526 has revealed that the handset has scored 3,033 points in the single-core test. Also, it has recorded an extraordinary score of 10,992 in the multi-core test. The H8526 has achieved such marvelous scores thanks to Snapdragon 855 and 8 GB of RAM. In fact, Sony H8526 seems to be the first phone from the company to feature 8 GB of RAM. The handset is preloaded with Android 9.0 P.

Rumors have revealed that the Snapdragon 845 is a 7nm chipset that is expected to arrive with Snapdragon X50 LTE modem for 5G connectivity. A recent report has revealed that TSMC will be starting with the mass production of 7nm SD855 SoC.

The resolution of H8616 does not match with the 4K resolution of 4320 x 2160 pixels that is available on Xperia XZ2 Premium smartphone. Another thing that has been found about the new H8616 smartphone is that it is loaded with the upcoming Android 9.0.

There is no information available on the other specifications of the H8616 smartphone. Since Sony follows a pattern of launching smartphones at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February and IFA tech trade show in September, it is expected to unleash a new flagship phone at the upcoming IFA 2018 event is scheduled to be held between Aug. 31 and Sept. 5 later this year. Earlier this week, a leaked specs sheet of the rumored Xperia XZ3 smartphone had surfaced online. Some rumors claim that the handset may either debut as Xperia XZ3 or Xperia XZ2s. Today, fresh photos of a prototype of the alleged XZ3 phone have emerged today. Design-wise, the smartphone appears very similar to the XZ2. However, one major difference between the two phones is that the upcoming XZ3 features a vertical dual camera setup on its rear.

Nothing much can be deduced from the front image of the phone. It only shows that its top bezel is equipped with an earpiece and a selfie camera. Since the handset looks like the Xperia XZ2, it is likely that the XZ3 will feature an 18:9 display with thick bezels on its sides. The second image shows the rear view of the phone, but it is so blurry that it only confirms that it has a glossy/reflective back panel.

The third and fourth images show the vertically dual camera setup of the alleged Xperia XZ3. The two cameras and the fingerprint scanner appear to be arranged very close to each other. The right edge of the phone houses the power key and volume rocker.

There is no confirmation on whether these images are not fake. Hence, it is advisable to digest this report with pinch of salt.

As far as the specs of the Xperia XZ3 is concerned, it is expected to borrow some specs from the XZ2 Premium such as 19-megapixel + 12-megapixel Motion Eye dual camera setup and 13-megapixel front-facing camera. The other rumored specs of the XZ3 include 5.7-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 845, 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB / 64 GB internal storage choices, Android 8.1 Oreo, IP68 certified body and 3,240mAh battery.

Sony had launched the Xperia XZ2 smartphone fueled by the Snapdragon 845 chipset at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 event in February. A fresh leak has revealed the entire specifications of the upcoming Xperia XZ3 smartphone. The leak reveals that the Xperia XZ3 will be not only be driven by Snapdragon 845 chipset, but also it will be featuring the advanced dual camera setup that is available on the Xperia XZ2 Premium. It is speculated that this phone may get unveiled at the IFA 2018 tech trade show in Berlin, Germany in September this year.

The specs sheet of the Xperia XZ3 reveals that it will be measuring 153 x 72 x 10.1mm and weighing 183 grams. Compared to the Xperia XZ2, the XZ3 seems to be 1mm thinner and lighter by 15 grams. It will be sporting an IP68 certified chassis like the other premium Xperia phones from Sony. The handset is equipped with a 5.7-inch screen that will carry support for Full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. Hence, the XZ3 will also sport an 18:9 aspect ratio display like its predecessor.

The Snapdragon 845 chipset and 6 GB of RAM will be driving the Xperia XZ3 smartphone. It will be arriving in 64 GB and 128 GB storage sizes. It includes a microSD card slot. The handset is fueled by 3,240mAh battery that will be enabled with support for Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging. The battery is slightly larger than 3,180mAh battery found in Xperia XZ2.

The Xperia XZ2 has a single camera of 19-mgeapixel with f/2.0 aperture. However, the Xperia XZ3 is blessed with dual rear cameras that includes the same 19-megapixel primary sensor that is coupled with a 12-megapixel secondary sensor with f/1.6 aperture. Actually, it is the very same dual camera setup that is available on the Xperia XZ2 Premium. Also, the leaked specs sheet reveals that the Xperia XZ3 will be also borrowing f/2.0 aperture 13-megapixel front-facing camera from the XZ2 Premium. Lastly, it will come loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo.
