The Yeelight A10 sky panel light has been launched on Xiaomi Youpin. The new blue sky panel light A10 supports XiaoAi and Apple Siri controls and also the MIJIA app. The panel light is capable of delivering a comfortable lighting experience, according to the company.

The A10 panel light has a ring light source design and utilizes the rain blue color scheme. The illumination provided by the A10 is said to be comparable to the blue sky after it rains. It is equipped with a direct light emitting technology and this enables it to achieve a uniform light output and no dark area effect. The panel light has a luminous flux of 1300lm while its color rendering index is Re95. The innovative use of a ring light source makes the space under the blue sky to be more comfortable and pleasant with high-quality lighting effects.

You can control the lamp using voice commands thanks to its integration with Siri and XiaoAi voice assistants. This allows the user to easily adjust the brightness, color temperature, and other parameters with just a simple sentence. The lamp has a rated input of 220V ~50/ 60Hz 0.19A while the light color temperature is up to 6500k for the main light source. The rated power of the device is 40W with a power factor of 0.90. The Yeelight Blue Sky Panel Light A10 weighs about 2.1kg and its product number is YLMBD-0011. The dimensions of the Yeelight A10 are 600 x 300 x 46.2mm.

Today, we’ve got our hands on something very special. These lights has been gaining a lot of popularity in the tech community that it became like a new “fashion” for tech-savvies. It was considered to be over-priced when it first came out, but how many new brands have emerged and they offer options at affordable prices to the consumers.

First off, in the box, you’ve got 6 individual light panels, the package is very nice, so nothing got damaged. And we’ve got these little connecting nanochips, this is going to connect each panel, you’ve also got a lot of stick tape to attach these things to your wall or whatever surface you want and the power brick, connecting wires, etc.

Because you are going to stick them up to the wall, you have to consider the weight of these panels. These are very light and thin, which is perfect for the purpose, and you can connect them up with nanochip connectors with corresponding cutouts, so you have a very flexible way of putting them up very creatively, and if you are looking for more panels you get it with extensions pack which includes 3 more panels to create more patterns you prefer. Connecting a power brick to only one of them is going to light all of them up. You can do some basic control using the controller, but I highly recommend using the app.

When I have them lightened up, and it looks really nice and gorgeous. With the app you have many lighting options to explore, not just the colors but also some the action of the light too.

But one thing I didn’t like is that you can’t control each panel separately to come up with different customized combination, that kind of limits the whole experience.

So, in my opinion, the only function this thing serve is to make your room look good. The lights are bright and colorful, definitely enough to stimulate your emotion and while you are gaming sometimes, you can create the specific color for the atmosphere around you and that really increases the immersion of the gaming experience. Because it changes with the rhythm when you are playing audio in the room, that, too, sometimes can be very cool. 

However, there are few things I wasn’t very enjoying. First is the power cable, it just hangs up on the wall mid air, it’s no big deal if you have a white wall, but if not, it can be kind of an eyesore. And the connector is too weak, after connecting them up, while I was going to hang them, I was so worried that I might break the connector with the weight of the panels which I am not holding, so surely be careful while you are sticking them up.

To conclude, if the main reason to spend this amount of money on this product is to make your room look cooler and more immersive in some situations, then this can totally do the job and the result might even surprise you.

Yeelight, the Xiaomi owned smart lighting based brand, has just announced two new products that arrive with the Razer Chroma Integration. Alongside the new products, the company has also announced the release of the source code of the Yeelight Chroma Connector as part of the Yeelight Open Source Program.

The company made this announcement at the Razer Devcon 2021 earlier today (7th May 2021). Yeelight has just unveiled two new smart lighting products, including the Yeelight Smart LED Bulb W3 and the Yeelight LED Screen Light Bar Pro. Talking about the bulb first, it offers the user the option to select among 16 million colors to create their custom lighting scenes for any occasion. The smart bulb also features game sync and music sync and is even eco friendly as well, offering an ultra low standby power to save energy and money.

Arriving at the smart light bar, the Yeelight Bar Pro is designed to offer customers a more immersive experience when gaming experience. Furthermore, the lamp also offers easy sync options that works with various popular games via Razer Chroma RGB, which also supports 16 million colors that even offers a “dazzling light effects triggered by specific gaming events.”

Notably, the company even opened up its source code to give back to its community, especially the Open Source one. Razer Con 2020 is about to begin in a few hours and the even will be packed with new product launches, games, and demos. Ahead of the event, Yeelight, one of Xiaomi’s eco-chain lighting brand, has announced a partnership with Razer. It has officially joined the Razer Chroma connect program for synchronized lighting between its lights and Chroma-enabled products.

In a press release, the company says Starting today(October 10), gamers can connect its color-changing lights with Razer Chroma RGB enabled devices. Besides, the new partnership will span out to games like Overwatch, Fortnite, Apex Legends, and more. And, as a headstart, products like Yeelight Smart LED Bulb 1S(Color), and Yeelight Smart LED Lightstrip 1S will support the integration program. However, users need to update the firmware of its products on the Yeelight app to see the changes.

First, users will have to download the Yeelight Chroma Connector plug-in from Razer/Yeelight website. Then, enable the LAN control of the products. To do this, open Yeelight App and navigate to Device->device_name->More->LAN control->toggle on. Now, the lights should automatically connect to Razer Chroma.

For the unware, Razer Chroma is a lighting technology. It enables both Razer and third-party RGB products to synchronize with a lighting protocol. This will let them toggle RBG lighting using Chroma to synchronize them unanimously.

Yeelight says it has two color temperatures – warm yellow and cold white. The lamp charges full in about 3 to 4 hours and will last up to 24 hours when set to warm yellow and up to 11 hours when set to cold white.

The Yeelight’s smart speaker comes with four buttons on the top side — an action button, microphone on/off button, volume up button and volume down button, just like the Eco Dot.

However, the company has also included an additional button in the centre, which can be used to put the speaker in mute mode. Such feature is not available on Amazon’s Eco Dot but is present on the larger versions of the Amazon Echo.

The speaker is believed to have been powered by Microsoft’s Cortana voice assistant. Since Xiaomi entered into a partnership with Microsoft last year, all the Mi Smartphones comes pre-installed with Microsoft’s apps. The Mi MIX was the first phone from Xiaomi to feature Cortana.

It comes with six microphones and a single 2-Watt speaker. The company says that the device comes equipped with an advanced voice wake-up algorithm which can turn the device ON within a range of 5 meters. It also comes with advanced Acoustic echo cancellation (AEC) and Beamforming technology for echo reduction.

It is powered by a 64-bit Cortex A53 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and is coupled with 256MB RAM and 256MB of flash storage. As of the connectivity options, the device supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz Dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy (LE).

As revealed by the company, the Yeelight Voice Assistant comes with Dual AI systems and can also be used for controlling other smart home products from Xiaomi, such as smart LED bulbs, table lamps, bedside lights, ceiling lights, etc. While it currently supports only Xiaomi smart home products, the company has said that support for more devices will be included in the coming days.

Currently, the Yeelight Voice Assistant smart speaker has been listed on the company’s crowdsourcing platform for a price of 199 Yuan, which roughly converts to $30. The company is expected to start shipping the device from 31st January in China.

Yeelight is one of the startups under Xiaomi’s Mijia ecosystem. The brand is known for its smart lamps, smart bulbs, and LED strips. Today it added a new product to its line-up – the Moonlight Chandelier.

The Moonlight Chandelier has a Nordic minimalist design that can be adapted to any decoration style. The body is made of an all-metal plate with a thickness of 0.8mm and a spray finish to prevent rust.

The chandelier uses E27 bulbs and has a hole at the top for letting out the heat from bulbs. Yeelight says it will work with LED bulbs, fluorescent bulbs, and tungsten bulbs.

The Moonlight Chandelier will sell for ¥349 (~$53). There is no info on release date yet, but when it is available it will be sold on the official Xiaomi site or can be purchased via the Mi Home app.

Yeelight is one of the companies under the Mi ecosystem. They are best known for their smart lamps, smart bulbs, and light strips. Their latest product, the Yeelight Candlelight Lamp takes things up another level as it brings a modern twist to the millennia-old candle.

The Yeelight Candlelight Lamp can best be described as a product born out of the need to replicate the age long candle in a modern and safer way.

The lamp has a similar design to the Yeelight bedside lamp but swaps the translucent lampshade for a transparent one. The glass does more than just protect the wicker-like LED lamp. It is also doubles as a control.

Twist it clock-wisely and it turns on the lamp. Turning the aluminium base also does the same. Though, it seems you can only do the above if the switch beneath the lamp is on. There is also a reset button and a charging LED below the switch.

The Yeelight Candlelight Lamp has a built-in 2,100mAh Lithium-ion battery that can last up to 8 hours on a single charge at a 60% brightness level. The battery is recharged via a Micro USB port at the base. Just like other Yeelight lamps, there is app support where you can choose from a variety of preset modes which include dinner mode, bathroom mode, and sleeping mode etc.

What’s more is that you can also pair up several lamps together and control them with a single lamp thanks to Bluetooth Low Energy Mesh Technology. So if you are trying to recreate that “candle down the hallway that leads to the bedroom” without setting your house on fire, this lamp is your best bet. To sum things up, this lamp will surely spice up your romantic life.

The Yeelight Candlelight Lamp will sell for ¥219 (~$33). It has surpassed its crowdfunding goal and is expected to start shipping December 15, 2017.

When it comes to the design, the bulb uses E27 standard and it is well built. In fact, it is one of the better build bulbs I’ve tested. Xiaomi assures that the bulb will last you up to 11 years.

My favorite feature is that the bulb uses the Wifi connection, which is way better than the Bluetooth, which has the range of only 10 meters.

The main features of the bulb are that it has 16 million colors and you can also adjust the color temperature.

You have to do all that using the using the Mi Home app, which is available on the Play Store.Just before you start using the app, make sure to select the location of China (Mainland). Otherwise, you will not be able to connect to the bulb and control it.

Within the app, you can adjust the color temperature and brightness of the bulb, select from a variety of different colors, select a flow mode. Also, you can select from a variety of scenes. One feature that I personally think is a gimmick, is the ability to take picture of an object and the bulb will change the color accordingly. I found this feature to be pretty accurate but I’m not sure if you are going to use it, anyway.

The Xiaomi Yeelight is a smart bulb that has quite a few features and most importantly, it is controlled via Wifi, which has a huge range advantage over the Bluetooth.

The bulb has been working fine, the user interface of the app is simple and easy to use. Last but not least, the bulb costs just below $20, which is really a low price considering the feature set.

Xiaomi’s crowdfunding platform has a new smart home product, this time a smart durable LED lamp.  Dubbed Xiaomi Yeelight LED lamp, the product comes with several features that make it stand out and is currently up for funding on the crowdfunding platform for 349 Yuan ($50).

The Xiaomi Yeelight LED lamp uses 240 color rendering index of up to 95 Lumileds / OSRAM LED lamp beads. The device comes with museum-color lighting effects with a rated power out of 28W and life expectancy of up to 25,000 hours. There is also an IP60 Dust-proof resistance to eliminate the problem of dust and insects accumulating inside the LED lamp over time.

Also, the Yeelight LED ceiling lamp features three-way dimming with full brightness of up to 2000 lumens.  The lamp can go as low as 0.1 lumens and in addition, the cold and warm colors can be adjusted as well. The LED lamp comes with a Bluetooth remote control that needs to be purchased separately. The LED lamp can also be put in a moonlight mode that looks just like the moon. The lamp is also very easy to couple and dismantle in less than 5 minutes. Furthermore, it is a smart gadgets, having the capability of being controlled by smartphones via an app.

Having reviewed quite a few lighting solutions made by the Xiaomi, I knew that this would be a high-quality product. It is very well-made and it does not seem to break anytime soon.

Xiaomi Yeelight review coming soon

Xiaomi are well known for their range of high quality and well priced mobile handsets, what they are less well known for is their desire to fill our homes with gadgets that offer the same ideals.

I will shortly be receiving a Xiaomi Yeelight for review from Gearbest.com this is something that I am really looking forward to, as it offers great value when compared to comparable offerings from Phillips.

The lamp is controlled by touch input on the top of the unit, but more importantly for us gadget lovers, can be controlled via bluetoother and an app on your mobile device.
