Samsung is set to launch two new foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5, in the coming months, alongside new tablets, smartwatches, and possibly earbuds. While details of these upcoming devices have been surfacing online, a new report has revealed information about the Galaxy Z Flip 5’s selfie camera.

According to GalaxyClub, Samsung will stick with a 10-megapixel selfie camera for the Galaxy Z Flip 5. However, it remains unclear whether the camera’s other specs, such as aperture and autofocus technology, will see any changes on the Z Flip 5.

Despite the lack of a selfie camera upgrade, the Galaxy Z Flip 5’s larger cover display should make up for it. With a larger display, capturing higher-quality selfies with the rear camera will be more convenient than on previous Galaxy Z Flip smartphones.

Moreover, the larger cover display could make a dedicated selfie camera somewhat redundant. Samsung could consider ditching it altogether for a proper full-screen inner display on its flip-style foldables, especially considering the larger cover display and the Flex Mode capabilities of Samsung’s foldables.

In terms of buying decisions, the lack of an upgrade to the selfie camera on the Galaxy Z Flip 5 should not be a cause for concern. While an upgrade would be nice, it’s not crucial to the device’s overall functionality. With the Galaxy Z Flip 5’s impressive larger cover display, users can still take high-quality selfies using the main camera.

The official release date of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 has not yet been officially confirmed. However, a recent leak suggests that Samsung may be planning to launch these devices earlier than expected. If the leak is to be believed, we could see the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 by the end of July.

Segway has released the Kickscooter GT2P in Europe. The Segway Kickscooter GT2P is a slight upgrade of the Kickscooter GT2 released in March last year and it comes as a 1WD or 2WD electric scooter and can reach a top speed of 70km/h. The Kickscooter GT2P accelerates from 0 to 48km/h in under 4 seconds and it has a range of 90km.

The Segway Kickscooter GT2P is equipped with an electric motor that peaks at 6kW which yields its top speed of 70km/h. Apart from the two drive options (front-wheel drive (1WD) or combined front and rear-wheel drive (2WD)), a Boost mode delivers the maximum acceleration. The Kickscooter GT2P also features Eco, Park and Walk modes. Due to speed restrictions, the scooter can only be used on private property such as race tracks under current EU regulations.

The Kickscooter GT2P has an integrated OLED display that allows you to view ride information such as your speed and battery level. The Segway-Ninebot app provides an additional option for controlling and accessing the information on the GT2P. The e-scooter is equipped with a 1,512Wh battery and the GT2P is powerful enough to navigate through 30% inclines. A schematic allegedly revealing the design of the highly anticipated OPPO Find N3 has been leaked on Weibo by Digital Chat Station. The leaked schematic hints that the Find N3 will feature a larger outer and inner display compared to its predecessor, the China-exclusive Find N2, and will come with a different design.

According to rumors, the OPPO Find N3 is poised to compete with other upcoming flagship phones in the Chinese market, such as the Huawei Mate X3, Vivo X Fold 2, and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. The device is rumored to feature a centrally positioned punch-hole on its cover screen, an alert slider on the right side, and a circular camera module at the back with Hasselblad branding, a microphone, and three cameras.

The left edge of the device is expected to feature a volume rocker and power button, which may be integrated with a fingerprint scanner. The outer display of the OPPO Find N3 is rumored to measure around 8 inches and offer a resolution of 2,268 x 2,440 pixels with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is expected to sport a 120Hz 6.5-inch FHD+ cover screen.

Barely a day after the official unveiling of the Vivo X Fold2 in China, a teardown video of the smartphone has surfaced. The teardown video of the X Fold2 shows all the major components of the smartphone. The teardown video was shared by WekiHome and the video is quite detailed.

The vivo X Fold2 is yet to make its way to overseas markets but already a detailed video of its internals is now available. The X Fold2 disassembly video was about 12 minutes long and also included some benchmark tests for the device, as well as some camera samples. The new smartphone’s hinge mechanism was displayed during the video. The X Fold2 is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and it performed well during the performance test. Its large copper alloy VC sink was effective in optimal heat management.

The X Fold2 has an 8.03-inch E6 AMOLED display with a resolution of 2160 x 1916 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel delivers an aspect ratio of 4:3.55 and the new droplet-style hinge system is lighter and more durable than its predecessors – the X Fold and X Fold+. It also has a 6.53-inch AMOLED cover screen with a resolution of 2520 x 1080 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The smaller screen has an aspect ratio of 21:9 and both panels feature 16MP front-facing cameras. The vivo X Fold2 is 30g lighter and 1.5mm slimmer than its predecessor.

The Vivo X Fold2 supported up to 108W fast charging and it took just 27 minutes to fully charge the phone. The nominal wired charging capacity of the model is 120W and its reworked hinge mechanism is a major improvement. The video is originally in Chinese but other users can enable closed captions and auto-translate to get the details of the content. The vivo X Fold2 and X Flip were unveiled with the Snapdragon 8 series chipsets and Zeiss cameras.

Over the past decade, BYD has invested heavily in research and development, employing 70,000 R&D staff and filing over 40,000 patents. Since stopping traditional vehicle production in March 2022, BYD has introduced new technologies such as battery-vehicle body integration and more efficient hybrid systems. To cater to different customer needs, the company has also adopted a multi-brand strategy.

The BYD brand targets vehicles priced under 300,000 Yuan (40-45 thousand dollars), Tengshi focuses on the 400,000 to 600,000 Yuan (55-90 thousand dollars) luxury car market, the F brand aims for the 600,000 to 800,000 Yuan (90-120 thousand dollars) personalized market, and Yingwang targets the high-end market between 800,000 and 1,500,000 Yuan (120-220 thousand dollars).

Yingwang deliveries are set to begin by the end of the third quarter. The F brand’s name and logo will be unveiled between May and June, and the first model under this brand will be showcased at the Chengdu Auto Show, with sales expected to start in the fourth quarter. Time will tell if all these efforts will make the company even more successful or not.

Hisense has recently been granted a patent for a dual-screen smartphone that allows users to view content on both front and rear screens simultaneously. The patent transforms the phone’s back cover into a functional display. Notably, this design does not follow the foldable screen approach. Therefore, we do not have a clear idea of how exactly it will be used. In the past, we have seen a few models that managed to fit a screen on the rear panel. But it seems Huawei is trying to change that with their new value maintenance and renewal service for the P60 series phones. For a starting price of 99 yuan, the company is offering customers the chance to purchase this service and receive a 50% discount on the next-generation phone within the same series in 2024, when exchanging with the current phones.

Upgrade to P70 series with up to 50% discount

Huawei today announced a value maintenance and renewal service for its P60 series phones, which allows customers to purchase the service starting at 99 yuan. Customers who purchase this service will receive a 50% discount on the retail price of the next-generation phone within the same series in 2024. However, the original device should meet the recycling standards for value preservation and renewal. In other words, your current P60 series phone needs to be in good condition to be eligible for the discount.

The prices of the maintenance and renewal service are 99 Yuan ($14) for Huawei P60, 169 Yuan (24) for Huawei P60 Pro, and 199 Yuan ($29) for Huawei P60 Art. The company will be offering door-to-door replacement service but only in certain urban areas in mainland China.

This service is a smart move that could help the company build a stronger customer base and ensure more sales for future phone releases. Asus ROG Phone 7D series launch timeline leaks

Asus recently launched the ROG Phone 7 series, which, like every year, boasts top-of-the-line hardware and various gaming-centric features, including AirTrigger ultrasonic air shoulder controls. As with previous years, it is expected that the company will follow up the series with the D series. According to a new report, the Asus ROG Phone 7D is set to debut in a couple of months in China, followed by other regions.

Asus ROG Phone 7D and 7D Ultimate could get MediaTek processors

A Newzonly reports claims that the Asus ROG Phone 7D and 7D Ultimate will be launched in August this year. The smartphones will initially be made available in China with a later launch in other regions.

As per the report citing tipster Paras Guglani, the Asus Rog Phone 7D will have model numbers: AI2301_A and AI2301_C, while the model numbers, AI2301_B and AI2301_D, will belong to the higher-end variant, the Asus Rog Phone 7D Ultimate. Furthermore, the report suggests that the upcoming Rog Phone 7D series will be equipped with Dimensity 9000+ Series chipsets, which could be the Dimensity 9200+ chipset.

Additionally, it is expected that the high-end variant of the Rog Phone 7D will come with a massive 16GB RAM and 512GB of storage.

To remind you, the ROG Phone 7 and 7 Ultimate feature a 6.78-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate, with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protecting the front. The phones are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU and are equipped with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of non-expandable storage. The ROG Phone 7 series runs on the Android 13-based ROG UI.

iQOO has recently unveiled two mid-range smartphones in the Z7 series, namely iQOO Z7 5G and iQOO Z7x. These smartphones come with impressive hardware and are priced affordably. iQOO Z7s has been spotted on the Bluetooth SIG website with model number I2223. The device will support Bluetooth v5.1, as indicated by the listing. Unfortunately, no further information regarding the device has been disclosed at this time. This is the first time the handset has appeared online so we can’t predict much either.

Based on its moniker, we assume the iQOO Z7s will be yet another mid-ranger in the series. However, it could be priced lower than the iQOO Z7 and iQOO Z7x. For reference, the former carries a price tag of $230, and the latter costs around $207.

The iQOO Z7 is already a good budget option. In our review of the Indian variant of the handset, we noted that it could be a great affordable 5G smartphone suitable for all kinds of users, provided one can overlook its poor camera performance and annoying FuntouchOS ads.

To recall, the handset gets a 6.64-inch LCD panel with a Full HD+ resolution of 2388 x 1080 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 1500:1 contrast ratio. The Indian unit of the handset gets a MediaTek Dimensity 920 chipset while the one in Indonesia features a Snapdragon 782G SoC. It packs a 4,500mAh battery in India with support for 44W charging.
