Motorola has launched a new G-series smartphone in the US market. It is dubbed the Moto G Power 5G and arrives as the successor to the last year’s Moto G Power 2022. The latest offering packs significant upgrades over its predecessor. Read on to know what it offers out of the box.

The Moto G Power 5G sports a 6.5-inch center-aligned punch-hole LCD display. It bears an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button. The back panel has a small rectangular camera module.

On the imaging front, the Moto G Power 5G has triple rear cameras. The setup comprises a 50MP main sensor paired with a 2MP depth and 2MP macro lenses. There is a 16MP front-facing selfie snapper.

Under the hood, the Moto G Power 5G is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 930 processor based on 6nm architecture. It packs up to 6GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage expandable via a microSD card slot. The device draws its power from a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 10W charging. Software-wise, the G Power 5G runs on Android 13 OS out of the box.

Connectivity options on the Moto G Power 5G include 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Moto G Power 5G carries a starting price tag of $299.99 for the 4GB + 128GB variant. The price of the 6GB + 256GB variant remains unknown at the moment. The smartphone can be purchased starting April 13th via Best Buy, Amazon, and the brand’s website. It will also be available at Metro by T-Mobile, Spectrum Mobile, and Xfinity Mobile in the coming months.

OpenAI is possibly facing the world’s first ever defamation lawsuit over its ChatGPT generated content. The company is facing the lawsuit by an Australian Mayor after seeing false information on the popular AI based chat bot. So here are all the details.

A regional Australian mayor stated that he is considering suing OpenAI, the company behind the massively popular platform, it it fails to correct ChatGPT’s false claims. For those unaware, the platform has falsely claimed that the Australian mayor had served time in prison for bribery. If he follows through with the lawsuit, then the company will face the first ever defamation lawsuit against the AI chat bot.

The mayor in question is Brian Hood, who was elected in Hepburn Shire last November. However, he became concerned with his online reputation when it was revealed to him that ChatGPT had falsely included his name as a part of the guilty party in a foreign bribery scandal involving a subsidiary of the Reserve Bank of Australia back in the early 2000s. During this time, Hood did work for the subsidiary but was actually the person who notified authorities about the said bribes and never faced any criminal charges himself.

OpenAI has yet to respond to this news or reply to Hood’s legal letter. But if the mayor follows through with the lawsuit, he will be the first person that has sued the owner of ChatGPT for claims against its language based AI platform. So stick around for more updates regarding this matter.

Redmi K60 Ultra Tipped To Launch In Q3, 2022

Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi launched the Redmi K60 series in December last year. The brand is reportedly working on the K60 Ultra model. It is expected to arrive as the successor to the Redmi K50 Ultra. Last month, Digital Chat Station had leaked some key information of the K60 Ultra. Now another Weibo user Wisdom Pikachu has shared details about the upcoming smartphone.

As per Wisdom Pikachu, the Redmi K60 Ultra will come with a 1.5K display with a 144Hz refresh rate which was also noted by DCS. The new information from the Weibo user adds that the smartphone will be powered by MediaTek’s unannounced Dimensity 9200+ processor which is expected to launch next month. The device will also reportedly support 120W fast charging. Additionally, Wisdom Pikachu states that the Redmi K60 Ultra will launch in Q3, 2022 i.e. the period between July to September.

There is no additional information about the Redmi K60 Ultra at the moment. In other news, the Xiaomi sub-brand announced the Redmi Note 12S and Note 12 Pro 4G smartphones in Europe today. Both come with an FHD+ AMOLED display with the former having a 90Hz refresh rate and the latter maxing out at 120Hz. The latest offerings have 108MP primary and 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera sensors on the back.

The Redmi Note 12S is powered by a Helio G96 SoC whereas the Note 12 Pro 4G is equipped with a Snapdragon 732G. Both phones are backed by a 5,000mAh cell with support for 67W fast charging.

Samsung Galaxy A24 has appeared in new leaked renders along with some key specifications. The smartphone has been spotted on multiple certification websites in the past. Last month, the company confirmed the Galaxy A24’s arrival in Turkey in the coming months, however, no exact date is known yet. It will arrive as the successor to the last year’s Galaxy A14.

The newly leaked renders of the Samsung Galaxy A24 corroborate previously leaked renders. It is seen with a Infinity-U-shaped notch and a thick chin at the bottom. The power and volume rocker buttons are located on the right side. The back panel has vertically stacked three camera sensors and an LED flash. The smartphone is seen in Black and Lime Green colours but as per a past report, it is also expected to arrive in Burgundy and Silver hues.

The report reveals that the smartphone is tipped to cost $190 (~Rs 16,000) and debut at the end of this month.

As for the core specifications, the Samsung Galaxy A24 will reportedly feature a 6.24-inch sAMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The rear camera setup is expected to be a 50MP main sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro unit. As per the smartphone’s Geekbench listing, it will be powered by a Helio G99 SoC. It will pack 4GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. The upcoming offering will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 15W fast charging.

Microsoft has just released a new limited public preview of its Edge Workspace feature. The new Edge browser will basically let you share a bunch of browser tabs simultaneously with a single link.

The new Microsoft Edge Workspace feature will allow users to be able to save and share a set of browser tabs using a single link. This will not only lower the time required to share individual links, but it helps in sharing a bunch of these tabs together. One can even save a bunch of tabs that are related to the same topic and label them within the Edge browser. To put things simply, users can now save groups of tabs like how they bookmark a single one in the past.

Interestingly enough, this is quite similar to Microsoft Edge’s existing ‘Collections’ feature that lets you save and organize websites. So, the new Edge Workspace features brings additional functionality with the ability of saving and sharing groups of tabs between your own devices, or to your friends. Furthermore, it will even let the other parties add or edit the tabs in real time.

The new Edge Workspace feature can be found on the top left corner of the browser. Clicking on this will have you see an option to create and name the new Workspace. These tabs can be shared by simply clicking on the ‘Invite’ button to the right of the Edge’s address bar and then copy the link.

Eunorau Flash e-bike with a 220-mile range, fat tires, color LCD launched

E-bikes have been gaining popularity in recent years as a convenient and eco-friendly mode of transportation. Eunorau, a company that specializes in e-bikes, has launched a new Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign for its Flash e-bike series. The Flash series is available in three models: the Flash-lite, the Flash-AWD, and the Flash. Each model has different specifications, allowing users to choose the one that best fits their needs.

The Flash-lite is the entry-level model, with a 750 W rear drive motor. The Flash-AWD has dual 750 W motors that provide 2,000 W peak power, and the Flash has a 1,000 W 220 Nm mid-drive motor. All models come with a 2,808 Wh LG battery, which provides an assistance range of up to 220 miles (~350 km) with pedal assistance or 110 miles (~180 km) using the electric motor only. The battery takes three to four hours to charge fully.

One of the standout features of the Flash series is the hydraulic lockout front suspension and 20 x 4-in fat tires. These help to make the ride more comfortable, especially on rough terrain. The bikes also have a 150 lux headlight that allows you to see and be seen in darker conditions, and a motor cut-off sensor in the brake handles to keep you safe.

The Flash series also comes with a full-color matrix LCD that displays your speed and battery charge level. The LCD also has app syncing, which lets you view further information on your phone, such as your route and remaining battery life. This feature is especially useful for those who use their e-bikes for commuting or long-distance rides.

The Flash series has an aluminum frame, which makes it both durable and lightweight. The bike weighs between 82 to 92 lbs (~37 to 42 kg) and supports loads up to 440 lbs (~200 kg). This means that the bike can accommodate both the rider and an additional passenger, making it a great choice for families or couples who enjoy riding together.

The Indiegogo campaign offers discounts on the MSRPs, ranging from US$2,199 to US$2,899. The Flash-lite is available for US$1,499, the Flash-AWD for US$1,699, and the Flash for US$1,899. These prices are a 31 to 34% discount on the regular retail prices. The campaign has already raised a significant amount of funding and is set to ship the product worldwide this August.

As per the launch invite, Xiaomi will unveil a new air purifier which could be called Air Purifier 4 series, a new Air Fryer, a Robot Vaccum Mop, a new Trimmer Kit, and lastly Smart TVs. Although the microsite is blurred, it indeed confirms the Air Purifier and a Trimmer Kit. It will be updated with more details in the coming days leading up to the launch event.

We can also expect Xiaomi to launch more devices at the Smarter Living launch event. Last year, the brand announced the Mi NoteBook Pro, Mi TV 5X Series, Mi Smart Band 6, Mi Router, Mi 360-degree Home Security Camera, and Mi Running Shoes.

In other news, the upcoming Xiaomi 13 Ultra is tipped to launch only in a select few markets and won’t be released where the Mi 11 Ultra was available. This means that the device won’t arrive in India, Indonesia, Turkey, and Japan.

OPPO is reportedly working on a new fast-charging solution that could match the 300W charging tech announced by Redmi back in February. According to DigitalChatStation, a reliable tipster, the new solution is still in development and will be paired with a 4,450mAh battery (4,600mAh battery typical). If launched, this new SuperVOOC solution will be the fastest smartphone charger in the market, alongside Redmi’s 300W Immortal Second Charger.

Fast charging technology is not just about the speed of charging but also about how efficiently it regulates heat and manages current. OPPO’s SuperVOOC solution is expected to retain the same speed at least until the battery reaches 80 percent, unlike Redmi’s 300W charging solution that could only touch 290W for about 3 seconds. While the new SuperVOOC solution’s release date is yet to be announced, it is expected to break covers before the end of this year.

Currently, the fastest commercially available phone in the world is the Realme GT 3, which boasts a 240W charging rate. However, Infinix recently launched a new 260W All-Round FastCharge charging system, which is currently the second-fastest in the market. In addition, Infinix also introduced a 110W Wireless All-Round FastCharge solution. OPPO’s new fast-charging solution could be a game-changer in the market, especially if it manages to maintain its speed until the battery reaches full capacity.

Display and Build

Right off the bat, the iQOO Z7 5G offers a superior 6.38-inch AMOLED panel that offers an FHD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, up to 1,300 nits of peak brightness, and an under-display fingerprint scanner. The Nord CE 3 Lite has a 6.72-inch LCD FHD+ display with support for a higher 120Hz refresh rate. While the iQOO phone has a smaller display, many buyers may prefer purchasing it considering that is equipped with a superior AMOLED panel that promises better color reproduction and viewing experience under bright sunlight. The Z7’s rear camera setup has a 64-megapixel Samsung GW3 with and a 2-megapixel macro camera, whereas the Nord CE 3 Lite has a 108-megapixel (Samsung HM6, main) + 2-megapixel (macro) + 2-megapixel (depth) dual-camera system. In the camera department, the Z7 has an upper edge as it comes with some additional features like OIS and 30fps 4K video recording (because of D920 chip), which are not available on the Nord CE 3 Lite.

The iQOO Z7 5G is already available for purchase, whereas the Nord CE 3 Lite is set to go on sale on April 11. The 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variants of both phones are priced at Rs 18,999. The source (Kacper Skrzypek) now says that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra may launch in Japan though there’s not a MIUI firmware build for the region. This could be possible as Redmi 12C is sold in the region without a Japan-specific MIUI build.

Earlier today, Xiaomi revealed that it would unveil the much-awaited Xiaomi 13 Ultra this month. The company even confirmed that the smartphone would also be available globally.

Now, a reliable source discloses that the device will be limited to certain international markets. It will not be released in several regions where the company had previously sold Mi 11 Ultra.

Xiaomi 12S Ultra review 13 — Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra and Xiaomi 12S Ultra

According to MIUI tipster Kacper Skrzypek, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will not launch in India, Indonesia, Turkey, and Japan. There are no MIUI firmware builds for these regions.

The device has only five MIUI builds, and they are China, Global, EEA, Russia, and Taiwan. This means apart from the brand’s home market, the phone will be only sold in a select few Western countries.

This means interested customers in other regions will have to import the handset. It is worth noting that, unlike Apple, Xiaomi does not offer international warranties and repairs on its products. So importing an expensive smartphone is not recommended for most people.

As per leaks, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, as the vanilla and Pro models. But it will arrive with an even better Leica-powered camera system.

The phone is said to feature a 32MP front-facing camera and four 50MP cameras on the rear with wide, ultra-wide, telephoto, and periscope lenses. The primary sensor will be a 1-inch Sony IMX989, while the remaining three will be Sony IMX858.

The handset will arrive with up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. Finally, it will boot Android 13-based MIUI 14 and will carry support for 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

Samsung Galaxy S22 series has received the latest April 2023 security update in the US. The update comes with firmware version S90xU1UES2CWCC and is intended for the unlocked versions of the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. The update fixes 64 security flaws found in Galaxy devices, making the phones more secure. It may also come with general bug fixes and stability improvements.

Samsung Galaxy S23 series saw 1.4 times higher sales than S22 in India

Samsung has just announced earlier today that its latest generation of flagship smartphones, the “Galaxy S23 series is cruising” in major markets. The company claimed that it has set a new sales record that has surpassed even its predecessors.

Back in February, the South Korean tech giant had stated that the pre-orders for its Galaxy S23 series was higher than the Galaxy S22 series from last year. Furthermore, 60 percent of the people pre-ordering the S23 models opted for the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The company has also added that the S23 series have recorded higher sales across the globe as well. Apparently, Samsung’s Galaxy S23 lineup have seen higher sales of up to 70 percent year on year globally for 47 days after the launch.

The brand added that the sales of the Galaxy S23 series was around 1.4 times higher than the sales of the Galaxy S22 series in the Indian market. On the other hand, the company saw sales around 1.5 times higher than its predecessor in the Middle Eastern and European market during this same period. In the company’s home market of South Korea, the Galaxy S23 series just recently had surpassed 1 million units in sales.

This was similar to the previous generation during the same period. Breaking down the overall sales of the Galaxy S23 series, the Galaxy S23 Ultra alone accounted for 60 percent of all sales. In other words, its top end model was quite popular across the globe. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S23+ and the base Galaxy S23 accounted for 20 percent respectively.

Verizon has started rolling out the latest April 2023 security patch for Google’s Pixel 5, Pixel 4a, and Pixel 4a 5G.
