Huawei has a launch event scheduled for March 23 where the brand will be launching the Huawei P60 flagship sereis along with the Enjoy 60 smartphone and Huawei FreeBuds 5. We already know that the brand has a couple of smartwatches called the Huawei Watch 4 & Watch 4 Pro in development, however, it is currently unclear if they will make an appearance at the launch event.

That being said, the Huawei Watch 4 Pro has appeared on Bluetooth SIG revealing some information on the Huawei Watch 4 Pro. The listing confirms that the upcoming smartwatch with model number MDS-AL00 is the Huawei Watch 4 Pro. It also reveals that the smartwatch will be using Bluetooth 5.2 for connectivity. The listing does not reveal any further details, however, previous WIFI Alliance and 3C certifications have shed some light on what to expect.

As per previous reports, the Watch 4 Pro will come in two models marked by model numbers MDS-Al10, and MDS-AL00. These devices have LTE 4G connectivity and 2.4GHz WIFI. The battery inside the smartwatch is capable of 5W charging. Additionally, there have been speculations about the watch featuring satellite connectivity and being reinforced with a distinctive Zircon material encircling the dial.

If you haven’t heard of Zircon material before, it is essentially four times more durable than steel and resistant to aging, meaning that the watch will retain its aesthetic appearance for a long time. It’s anticipated that Huawei will utilize this material in the high-end edition of the Watch 4 Pro, likely bumping up its cost by quite a bit.

A new Gionee-branded smartphone debuts in China. Just like the previously released phones, this one too tries to be a clone of a popular handset with a twist.

Officially called the Gionee F3 Pro, the device incorporates design elements from the iPhone Pro series as well as the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. Let’s check out what it has to offer.

The Gionee F3 Pro has a flat frame body, like the newer iPhones. Its camera layout also resembles that of the iPhone Pro series. However, the notch above the screen is smaller than the one on the iPhones.

Further, just like the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra from 2021, it has a secondary display on the right side of the cameras. This screen can not only show time but also notifications and call alerts.

Talking about specs, the F3 sports a 6.5-inch display. The large panel is accompanied by dual stereo speakers for multimedia consumption. The company claims that the device is designed for elders.

Under the hood, it houses a Unisoc T610 chipset. The chip is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. It boots an unknown version of Android.

The phone uses an unusual 21MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. Last but not least, it is backed by a 3,900mAh battery with support for 10W charging.

The Gionee F3 Pro is priced at ¥1,399 (~$205) and it is already up for sale in China. It comes in gold, blue, and black color options.

Xiaomi is rolling out the stable MIUI 14 update for two of its popular Redmi devices, the Redmi Note 10 and Redmi Note 11 SE, in China. The new software update is based on Android 13 and offers several new features and optimizations, enhancing the overall user experience.

Samsung is gearing up to launch a new mid range smartphone from its Galaxy F series in India. The device in question is the Galaxy F14 5G, which is set to launch later this month. But ahead of its official announcement, the possible pricing for this phone has leaked, so let’s have a look.

For those unaware, the South Korean tech giant’s Galaxy F14 is set to launch in the Indian market on March 24. The device will go on sale through Flipkart, but prior to its release a leak from known tipster Yogesh Brar has revealed the pricing for this upcoming smartphone. According to Yogesh, the Galaxy F14 will carry a box price of 17,999 INR (roughly $217) for its 6GB + 128GB variant, while its actual price for customers could be either 14,000 INR or 15,000 INR (roughly $170 to $180).

Talking about the device itself, the Galaxy F14 5G will sport a 6.6 inch display that has a Full HD+ resolution, LCD panel, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. This display will also offer 90Hz high refresh rate. The upcoming Samsung handset will be equipped with the Exynos 1330 SoC, under the hood, along with up to 12GB of RAM with RAM Plus. The tipster also added that the Galaxy F14 5G will be offered in 4GB and 6GB configurations that will be paired with 128GB of internal storage.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra, the company’s upcoming flagship model, will be unveiled in China soon. Xiaomi has confirmed to launch a new television in China on March 22. The product is officially called the Xiaomi TV S series.

The company has shared a couple of teasers on Weibo. They reveal some of the features of this TV. Let’s have a look at them.

Xiaomi has not mentioned the timing for the announcement of its new TV in China. This suggests that there won’t be any live stream and the product will be simply unveiled via social media posts early morning on the said date.

So far, the firm has posted two teasers on Weibo. One of them discloses that the television will support up to a 144Hz refresh rate. While the other one reveals that a MediaTek MT9653 chipset will power the TV.

This chip is not listed on MediaTek’s website, which suggests that it could be a new one. Per the teaser, the SoC will include a CPU featuring a quad-core ARM Cortex-A73. Also, the chipset will support 3200Mbps RAM.

Going by the render, the television may sport a metal frame and share its design with the previous TVs from the company. Unfortunately, that’s all the information we have on this upcoming product, however, we are looking forward to more teasers.

TSMC Production Plant in Arizona To Start Mass Producing 4nm Chips Next Year

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, popularly known as TSMC, is setting up a new production plan in Arizona, United States at a cost of around $12 billion.

The plant was originally planned to manufacture 5nm chips but recently it was revealed that the plant will be making 4nm chips. Now, a new report from Taiwanese media claims that the production of 4nm chips in the Arizona plant could start next year.

According to the report from Economic Daily, TSMC’s new plant in Arizona will start producing 4nm chips from 2024. The report further adds that Qualcomm’s Global Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Chen Ruowen said that Qualcomm will be the first customer of TSMC’s US plant’s 4nm chips.

It was earlier reported that AMD and NVIDIA were among the companies that urged TSMC to start making 4nm chips in the US. The development comes at a time when companies are now planning to source chips manufactured in the United States. Further, this new plant should also allow a whole host of new companies and jobs to appear in support of the manufacturing facility.

Apart from Qualcomm, Apple, AMD, and NVIDIA are also expected to place a large order for the chips manufactured by TSMC in the Arizona facility. In the second phase of the upgrade at the Arizona plant, TSMC will upgrade the facility to produce more advanced 3nm chips, which is likely to happen around 2026.

Samsung is reportedly working on the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. It is likely that the South Korean tech giant will hold a Galaxy Unpacked event in August to announce these foldables. In a recent tweet, reliable tipster Ice Universe leaked key details about the Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5.

According to the tipster, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Z Flip will be equipped with the new water droplet hinge technology and new screen technology. Both devices will offer IPX8-rated water resistance.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 will feature slimmer bezels around the inner foldable display. He added that the Z Flip will have an almost square-shaped design measuring around 3.4 inches. A new report that was published earlier today carried concept renders of the device. It revealed that the device may also feature another small-sized cover display, which can show information such as a clock, battery status, and AR emojis. On the other hand, the larger external display may show notifications and give access to widgets.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5’s size will be only 0.2mm different from that of its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 4. It will have a 6.2-inch outer display like the Z Fold 4. It appears that because of the implementation of the new hinge, the gap between the two halves will reduce. Hence, the thickness of the Z Fold 5 will be around 13.x mm when folded. While the Z Fold 4 weighs around 263 grams, the Z Fold 5 is likely to weigh around 254 grams.

Like the Galaxy Z Flip 5, the Z Fold 5 is also expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipset. A recent report revealed that the device will feature a 50-megapixel (main) + 12-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 10-megapixel (telephoto) triple camera unit, which is the same camera setup that is available on the Galaxy S23 Plus.

Huawei Replaced 13,000 Parts in its Products Since US Supply Chain Ban

Huawei’s entire state changed in the year 2019, when it was placed on the Commerce Department’s entity list, jeopardizing its goal of becoming the world’s largest smartphone manufacturer. This move prevented Huawei from accessing supplies from the U.S. supply chain, which included the Google Mobile Services version of Android. The company even had to develop its own HarmonyOS operating system, which has now reached version 3.1.

A year later, the U.S. Commerce Department added a new export rule that prevented foundries from shipping cutting-edge silicon to Huawei. Although Huawei was allowed to use Qualcomm‘s Snapdragon SoCs, they were modified to be incompatible with 5G networks. The upcoming Enjoy 60 mid-ranger will be powered by a three-year-old Kirin 710A chip. Huawei founder Ren Zhengfei revealed that the company had to replace 13,000 parts in its products due to the U.S. trade sanctions. This resulted in the purchase of domestic substitutes and the redesign of 4,000 circuit boards. Although Reuters was unable to verify Ren’s remarks, the company’s production of circuit boards has since stabilized.

Despite these challenges, Huawei remains committed to research and development, spending $23.8 billion on it last year. The company plans to continue increasing R&D spending as profitability improves. Oppo Pad 2 official promo images live ahead of March 21 launch

Oppo will be launching the Find X6 series flagship smartphones in China on March 21. Along with the smartphones, the brand will also be launching the OPPO Enco Free 3 and OPPO Pad 2. Ahead of the official launch, the brand has released some promotional images of the Oppo Pad 2.

The brand shared images of the Oppo Pad 2 revealing two color options. The tablet will come in Grey and Gold color options. Design-wise, the device looks exactly like the OnePlus Pad. Apart from the design, the company has not confirmed any other details yet. However, leaks have revealed many of the specifications already.

GeekBench recently listed a new tablet, revealing some of its exciting features. The device is rumored to be the OPPO Pad 2, and it will reportedly run on Android 13 with up to 8GB of RAM. Although there were earlier rumors that it would feature a MediaTek Dimesnity 9000 chipset, the listing suggests that it will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset instead.

According to the 3C listing, the tablet will support 67W fast charging technology, and rumors suggest that it will feature a 9500 mAh battery. The Bluetooth SIG listing confirms that it will have Bluetooth 5.3 and run on ColorOS 13.1 software.

OPPO has already unveiled official images of the tablet, showing a similar design to the OnePlus Pad. Digital Chat Station, a popular tipster, has also revealed that the OPPO Pad 2 will feature an 11.56-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 2800 x 2000 pixels and a refresh rate of 144Hz. The display will have certifications such as Dolby Vision and HDR10+.

Additionally, the tablet is expected to have a 13MP rear camera capable of recording videos up to 4K, as well as an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls. OPPO is also expected to offer the device in multiple color options, unlike the OnePlus Pad, which is only available in a single color.

The Pixel 7 Pro is the flagship model, featuring a 6.71-inch AMOLED screen with a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It has a distinctive design, advanced security features, and extended software support. The camera includes 50MP wide, 12MP ultra-wide, and 48MP telephoto modules with autofocus for macro on the ultra-wide sensor.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Tipped to Feature Two Cover Displays, Images Appear

At present, the OPPO Find N2 Flip offers the largest cover screen on a flip phone. Reports say that Samsung and Motorola’s next flip phones will have bigger screens on the outside. Today, fresh information reveals that the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 will have not one, but two cover displays.

Tipster SuperRoader has shared what appear to be concept images of the Galaxy Z Flip 5. It gives a good look at the design of the device. As can be seen in the new images, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 can be seen sporting a foldable screen with a centre punch-hole like its predecessor.

The rear shell of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is divided into two parts. The top part houses a dual-camera unit, an LED flash, and a small cover display. The latter will display information such as a clock, battery status, and AR emojis.

The remaining back panel has a huge square-shaped cover display that measures 3.4 inches and offers an aspect ratio of 1:1.038. This screen can be used to see notifications, access widgets, use quick settings, and work as a camera viewfinder.

The images show that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will have flat edges and rounded corners. With the implementation of a new hinge, it appears that the Z Flip 5 will not have any gap between its two halves. It is also expected to reduce the crease on the foldable screen. It seems to be equipped with a side-facing fingerprint scanner. As usual, readers are expected to digest the design leak of the Z Flip 5 with a pinch of salt.

Rumors are rife that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, offer long battery life, better cameras, and an IPX8-rated water resistance. The Z Flip 5 is expected to debut in August this year.

Asus recently launched the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM monitor in China. The gaming monitor features a flat 2K OLED panel with a high refresh rate and lightning-fast response time. The monitor has now been made available for pre-order in the US and UK.

The ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM gaming monitor can be pre-ordered in the UK for £1,098.95, VAT included. In the US, ASUS plans to sell the monitor for US$999, but it is not yet available for purchase on Newegg. UK customers can anticipate the arrival of stock in April.

The Asus ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM is a top-of-the-line gaming monitor that boasts some impressive features. At 27 inches, the flat 2,560 x 1,440 pixels OLED panel offers an ultra-fast 240 Hz refresh rate and a 0.03 ms response time, making it one of the fastest gaming monitors on the market. The monitor also delivers exceptional color accuracy, with 99% DCI-P3 color space coverage and Delta E <2 color deviations.
