It will be powered by a 4,500mAh battery that supports 80W rapid charging. It will run on the Android 12 OS, which will have the OriginOS Ocean UI on top.
The Vivo S15 series is likely to rival the OPPO Reno8 series, which is all set to launch on May 23 in China. The S15 lineup, unlike the previous generation S-series of smartphones, will not be marketed as selfie-focused devices.
Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy Watch 5 series later this year. Back in 2021, it had launched the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic, and now, a new leak has revealed some interesting details regarding its successor.
Galaxy Watch 4 Golf Edition
The latest information was shared by known tipster Ice Universe on Twitter. While most premium grade smartwatches an aluminum build or a stainless steel design, it appears that the South Korean tech giant is taking things a step forward. Apparently, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will come with a titanium build. As of right now, the company’s rival, Apple, offers its own smartwatches with a titanium build. So its not surprising that Samsung is also following suit.
Apart from the new titanium build, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will reportedly also feature Sapphire glass as well. For those unaware, this glass is more durable and has better protection against scratches. The tipster stated that the upcoming high end smartwatch from the brand will feature a rotating bezel design and boot WearOS. He also added that the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will not offer narrow bezels.
Galaxy Watch4 Classic
Notably, the next gen model is believed to be wider than the previous generation as well. Unfortunately, this is all the information we have at the moment. So stick around for more, as we will be providing updates when additional information is available regarding this matter.
Realme has already confirmed that it will soon be launching its latest Narzo 50 5G series in India. Now, new leaked images have revealed the full design of the smartphone ahead of its May 18 launch.
The leaked images were shared by Digit. Looking at these images, the Chinese smartphone maker’s base Narzo 50 5G model can be seen in a blue color option. Previously, we have also reported on the black color variant as well. The report adds that the upcoming handset will measure just 8mm in thickness and its rear panel is inspired by the Kevlar Speed texture. On the top left corner at the back, a dual camera setup can be seen along with an LED flash module.
Unfortunately, the brand has yet to officially unveil the device or reveal any finer details. But, based on previous reports, it is believed to be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC. This processor will be paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The Narzo 50 5G is also believed to boot Android 12 OS based Realme UI 3.0 skin out of the box. Under the hood, a large 4,800mAh battery pack is expected to power the smartphone, which also supports 33W fast charging.
On the rear, the dual megapixel camera module likely includes a 13 megapixel primary sensor along with a 2 megapixel depth shooter. Unfortunately, that is all the information we have at the moment, so stick around for more as we will be providing updates and cover the launch event that is set for 18th May 2022.
Realme has scheduled to launch the Realme Narzo 50 5G series in India on May 18. The lineup will be making its global debut in the country. Hence, only a few details are out via teasers and leaks. We have compiled all of them in this post. Let’s check out what these upcoming budget smartphones have to offer.
Before delving into the details, we would like to give a short introduction to these forthcoming handsets. The Realme Narzo 50 5G series is said to include two devices, namely Realme Narzo 50 5G and Realme Narzo 50 Pro 5G.
Unlike the existing models, the upcoming phones will offer 5G connectivity and a better set of features. Hence, they will most likely cost more than the others.
Realme Narzo 50 5G Series Launch Date
As mentioned in the beginning, the Realme Narzo 50 5G series will launch in India on May 18. The live stream will kickstart at 12:30 PM IST on the brand’s official Youtube channel.
The lineup is expected to consist of two models — Realme Narzo 50 5G and Realme Narzo 50 5G Pro.
Realme Narzo 50 5G Series Design
According to the leaked renders and official teasers, the Realme Narzo 50 5G series will sport a flat frame design. Just like other Realme-branded smartphones, the volume buttons will reside on the left side along with the SIM card slot. Whereas, the power key will be located on the right side.

Further, the rear panel of the Realme Narzo 5G will house two large camera modules. Unfortunately, as of this writing, we are not aware of the Reame Narzo 50 Pro 5G’s back design.
Realme Narzo 50 5G Series Specifications
The Realme Narzo 50 5G is expected to house a MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC. On the other hand, the Realme Nazro 50 Pro 5G has been officially confirmed to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 920 chipset.
Both phones are said to flaunt FHD+ AMOLED displays. The Pro variant has been officially confirmed to come with a 90Hz panel supporting up to 360Hz touch sampling rate, 1000 nits peak brightness level, and an optical in-screen fingerprint sensor with support for heart rate detection.
Whereas, the screen on the vanilla model is tipped to measure 6.58-inch in size. It is also expected to carry support for a 90Hz refresh rate.
Talking about optics, the Realme Narzo 5G is rumored to arrive with a dual rear camera setup comprising of a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. While the Realme Narzo 50 Pro 5G is tipped to sport a 48MP + 8MP + 2MP triple camera system on the back, however, it could be false.
Finally, the standard version is said to house a 4,800mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging and both of them will boot Realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12.
We just finished reviewing the Vivo X Note a few days ago. But the X80 series was also released recently. While I don’t think it’s a good idea for Vivo to flood the market with many flagship phones, since they have released new phones, we have no choice but to review them for you guys. Today, we bring you the unboxing and quick review video of vivo’s flagship camera phone for the first half of the year: the Vivo X80 Pro.
The box for the X80 Pro is a bit smaller and thinner than both the previous X70 Pro plus and X Note. Keeping the phone aside, we didn’t find any wired headphones. It seems Vivo has also learned how to be more “environmentally friendly”. But the brand still includes a very good-looking phone case. The instructions and UV protection stickers are also available. This time the charger is 80w and supports PD 65w. This dual Type-C charging cable can be your travel charger.
More than other brands, we have always thought that vivo designs beautiful phones, but the X80 Pro is an exception. If the rectangular plus round design is acceptable to me, the periscope telephoto lens outside the main camera housing is not acceptable to me. While I understand that the Micro Gimbal is too big, so the telephoto cannot be placed next to the portrait camera. But I just don’t like the awkward design. And it really drives me crazy that the telephoto camera and the top two lenses are not in line. This year’s X80 Pro has made too many sacrifices to unify the design style.
The rest of the design remains the same as last year’s X70 series, such as the glossy top trim strip and the smooth frosted glass on the back. It also supports 2 SIM cards and NFC. Fingerprint recognition becomes the same large ultrasonic fingerprint as the X Note, but the silent switch on the X Note is not present on the X80 Pro. If you are an X70 Pro Plus user, you will feel no big change when you switch to X80 Pro. The biggest change you can feel is that the lens design has become uglier.
As soon as I opened the X80 Pro’s screen, I thought it looked familiar. After comparing the screen specs of the X70 Pro Plus, I was sure that this screen is the same screen as the X70 Pro Plus. We’re familiar with this screen, and I’m sure you don’t want to hear us repeat its performance. Except for the side view color shift, it’s all top of the line at the moment.
vivo X80 Pro Review: Performance & Gaming
I have to say, Vivo knows its users very well. They know that we prefer the Dimensity 9000 to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. That’s why it is offering two versions with identical specs but different processors. You can buy whichever processor you like. The X80 Pro we have is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 version. Because the Dimensity 9000 version is not yet available for sale. We are already familiar with the Benchmark performance of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, so you can take a look at the table to get an idea.
As for the gaming performance, we simply ran PUBG and Genshin. Maybe the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 performance is too bad, or maybe Vivo is just trying to protect your hands from getting burned, as usual, the performance is just mediocre. If you want a phone with good gaming performance, the X80 Pro is definitely not the best choice.
vivo X80 Pro Review: Cameras
The four lenses on the X80 Pro are a 50MP main camera, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 12MP portrait camera, and an 8MP periscope telephoto camera. The main camera adds a glass lens. The Micro Gimbal of the ultra-wide-angle camera has also been replaced with the portrait camera.
This time the V1 chip of X80 Pro was updated to V1+ chip. Because the other lenses have not changed much, so we mainly talk about this Micro Gimbal portrait lens. Honestly, the closest focusing distance of this lens is a bit too far, and it often fails to focus for daily shooting. Sometimes there is an inexplicable shaking problem, and the probability of this bug is quite high. The Micro Gimbal is actually better for video recording, but you can’t record 4k and 60fps video with this lens. So I prefer the X70 Pro Plus design that puts the Micro Gimbal on the ultra-wide-angle camera. The other lenses are not significantly different compared to the X70 Pro Plus or X Note. If you want to know more details about this camera system, you can check out our X70 Pro Plus and X Note reviews.

For some reason, we can’t find the official Note app in our X80 Pro, nor can I search for it in the Vivo app store, so I have to use a third-party app if I want to take notes. How to use the IR remote control of Origin OS is also hard to find.
If you want to use IR remote but don’t know how to use it. I’ll teach you here, go to settings and find Jovi. Then click Jovi InLife and download the app. Then you can add the devices you want to remote control.
vivo X80 Pro review: Battery & Charging
The X80 Pro’s battery capacity has been increased by 200mAh over the previous generation, and the wired charging power has been increased to 80w. However, the compatibility of charging protocols is still not good. There are more versions for sale this time, so I’ve listed a table for your reference. In fact, the Vivo X series has never been cheap, so buying the X80 Pro depends on whether you are interested in its powerful camera system or not. I know a lot of people are interested in the X80 Standard Edition. We will also bring its review as soon as possible.
Oppo launched the Reno 7 5G in India in February. Despite releasing in the second month of 2022, the smartphone debuted with Android 11-based ColorOS 12. Now, three months after its debut, the company has kickstarted the Android 12 beta program as scheduled.
Earlier this month, Oppo revealed that it will start Android 12 beta testing for Oppo Reno 7 5G in India from May 18. However, the firm has opened registrations today itself (May 16).
For the unaware, Oppo is known for starting ColorOS beta initiative for select devices earlier than the planned date. Hence, we are not surprised to learn that the Reno 7 5G users in India can register for the program two days earlier.
In order to enroll, the device should be on firmware version A.14. This is the only requirement. But the brand has allocated only 5,000 seats and the registration window closes on May 23.
In order to register, users need to navigate to Settings > Software Update > Gear Icon > Apply for Beta version > Update Beta Version and follow on-screen instructions. Applicants who get selected will receive the Android 12 beta build via OTA in 3 working days.
As of now, Oppo hasn’t disclosed the date for the stable release. Anyway, going by the company’s history of software rollout, Android 12 stable will likely hit the Oppo Reno 7 5G in India in a month or two.

Have you ever imagined drawing on windows with your fingers when you were younger? Now, what if you could do that as an adult? Of course, you can imagine drawing on windows with your fingers, but what I’m talking about is what if your window was a touchscreen that not only allowed you to draw on it but also was see-through to look out from the window?
BOE is providing a new breakthrough solution to make your imaginations come true with their latest invention, the Transparent OLED Interactive Window.
Source: BOE
As an esteemed panellist at SID Display Week 2022, the Beijing-based display panel manufacturer BOE showcased their new transparent OLED technology. The main function of the technology is to further enhance the passenger experience on automobiles with transparent OLED interactive windows.
According to BOE, these transparent OLED interactive windows are adopting the industry’s leading transparent OLED display technology, with a screen size of 12.5 inches and a transparency ratio of up to 45%. The windows can be installed on either of the front or rear car windows on the passenger side.
Source: BOE
You can draw, read navigation details, check the weather and even take photos with this brand new touchscreen OLED interactive windows. The features are especially attractive to ride-hailing services like taxis which the passenger can use the time in the car efficiently if they are stuck in a heavy traffic jam.
Another business idea that BOE remarked on during the event was that ride-hailing companies can also utilise these OLED transparent windows as video advertising space which they could not do before on conventional windows.
Source: BOE
With the invention and application of transparent OLED screens in our future, it seems that alternate reality (AR) could be integrated with our current reality, enhancing multitasking further for a newer generation.
Although LG has officially exited the smartphone business last year, the company is still very popular in the electronics supply chain industry, specifically in its LED Display Business Division.
This year at SID 2022 Display Week, LG was invited as one of the more esteemed panelists at the event, and during the company’s showcase, the brand revealed that its research and development team has successfully developed a foldable OLED device that can fold and unfold from 0 to 360 degrees.
LG 360 Degree Foldable OLED
During the event, LG Display showed off a Foldable OLED touchscreen that is 8.03 inches when unfolded horizontally. However, what makes this display unique is that the panel could be folded inwards or folded outwards, in fact, it could be folded at any angle from 0 to 360 degrees.
Source: LG
Durability-wise, it seems that LG is using UTG (Ultra-Thin Glass) technology for the Foldable OLED, and the exterior screen is coated with an anti-fingerprint material to keep the device looking spick and span always. LG also claims that the 360 Foldable OLED is rated for 200,000 folds under normal use and other technical details for the display include its 2480 x 2200 pixel resolution allowing for a sharp 413 PPI, 109.9% coverage of DCI-P3 colour gamut and the panel is rated for 430 nits of brightness under typical situations and can reach up to 600 nits of peak brightness in challenging situations.
Source: Ross Young on Twitter
There does not seem to have a practical use case for this form factor currently, but the design surely looks futuristic, and kudos to the display panel engineers for pushing the limits of how we can shape our screens.
LG Foldable OLED Laptop Prototype
Another reveal during the event was the company’s 17-inch foldable OLED panel, but this time around it doesn’t fold 360 degrees, it folds at a rather conventional 180 degrees inwards, just like a laptop. But at the enormous size of 17 inches, the demonstration of the LG display prototype was still rather impressive. The design overall is a clamshell design, one that you will find in Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 3 or the Oppo Find N.
ARM Processors are the foundations for all smartphone chipsets we see today. Whether it be a Qualcomm Snapdragon, MediaTek Dimensity, Apple Silicon or Samsung Exynos chipset, chances are that all the aforementioned silicon SoCs (system on a chip) are using ARM’s technology which includes its wildly popular ARM Cortex CPU Cores and ARM Mali GPUs.
ARM’s clients
Today, the ARM Limited tech giant has revealed the company’s earnings and profits for the fiscal year of 2021, and to the company’s investors’ delight, ARM had generated record-breaking yearly sales revenue and profits in the business throughout 2021.
In the media statement, ARM reveals that its 2021 total revenues were up by 35% when compared to 2020, totalling at 2.7 billion USD with strong growth in both royalty and non-royalty revenue streams. And as for profits, the company generated record EBITDA adjusted profits of 1 billion USD, which is up by 68% compared to 68%. Overall, the ARM company’s profit margins after adjustment is a high 37%.
Going into the specifics, ARM’s 2021 licensing (non-royalty) revenues were up 61% to 1.13 billion USD as the brand’s expanded product portfolio and new business models such as ARM Flexible Access gave more customers more reasons and more ways to license ARM technology.
As for royalty revenues, ARM’s 2021 figures were up 20% from 2020 to a record 1.54 billion USD, helped by continuing strong growth of 5G smartphones, more ADAS and IVI chips going into cars, and price increases in 32-bit microcontrollers.
In his closing remarks, Mr Rene Has, CEO of ARM said: “Our record results demonstrate that the demand for ARM technology and the strength of the ARM ecosystem has never been greater – our compute platform will power the next set of technology revolutions across cloud computing, automotive and autonomous systems, the IoT, the Metaverse and beyond.”
“As we look ahead to a future built on ARM, our priority is to continue to deliver on our business strategy, enable partners with the solutions they need through further investment in our roadmaps and engineering talent, and together with our ecosystem redefine the future of computing,” Mr Rene added.
AYANEO has announced the Air and Neo 2 handheld gaming consoles. While the AYANEO Air is the first Windows-powered handheld console with an OLED screen while the AYANEO 2 comes powered by the AMD Ryzen 6800U chipset.
The AYANEO Air is projected as the first Windows Handheld device with an OLED screen. It features an X-axis linear motor, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB-C port, and a microSD slot. The AYA Neo Air also has RGB rocker lighting and speaker openings at both sides of the device. The AYA Neo Air bears a close semblance to the Nintendo Switch Lite but is powerful enough to square up with the Steam Deck. The AYA Neo Air is already available for booking.
The AYANEO 2021 and AYANEO Next are two of the more expensive handhelds already released by the brand. The AYANEO Air handheld console is a pretty portable version of its predecessors. AYANEO could be targeting a vibrant segment of the untapped gaming market with the release of the affordable AYANEO Air.
The Air has a 5.5-inch screen and an AMD Ryzen 6800U processor- a first for a handheld gaming console. While there are lots of details yet to be known about the device, it is expected to enter the market by the year’s end. The externals of the AYA Neo Air could indicate an ergonomic design.
There are speculations that the AYANEO Air could be priced around $500, but that could be a tough sell in the highly saturated handheld market. It is however possible that the impressive features in the Air could drive its demand.
