Motorola has been pushing the Android 12 update to some of its devices. The most recent phones to get the update include the Moto G50 and Moto G200. Now, Motorola’s 2021 flagship is getting the latest Android update. The Motorola Edge 20 Pro that launched last year with Android 11 OS out of the box, is not getting the taste of the newest software available to the public, the Android 12 OS.
Motorola has pushed the update for the Edge 20 Pro with model number XT2153-1-DS. The update is currently live in Brazil and it is expected to reach other regions soon.
Motorola Edge 20 Pro
The update brings the March security patch and all the Android 12 features. There’s Material You redesign, Privacy Dashboard, camera & mic indicators, to name a few.
If you are an Edge 20 Pro user residing in Brazil, then you should have received the Android 12 update notification. But in case you didn’t get the notification, follow these steps: Go to Settings > System > Advanced > System Updates.
Apart from this, the other Motorola devices that have already received the update are Moto G Pro Moto G30, Moto G50, Moto G200, and Motorola Edge 20.
The next phones in line to get the update are: Razr 5G, Razr 2020, Motorola Edge 20 lite, Motorola Edge 20 fusion, Motorola Edge 2021, Motorola Edge 5G UW, Motorola Edge Plus, Moto G71, Moto G51, G41, G31, G100, G60, G60s, G40 Fusion, G30, G Power 2022, G Pure, G Stylus 5G, Motorola One 5G Ace, Motorola On 5G UW Ace.
Motorola’s next phone to arrive will be the Motorola Edge 30. As the name suggests, it will be a lower-end variant of the Edge 30 Pro, which was launched a few months back. Last time, we saw the renders of the device, now, the images of the phone have surfaced on the Internet.
The live images of the phone show the back and the front of the device. The smartphone has a punch-hole display with up to a 144Hz refresh rate. On the back, it has a triple camera system on the top left, Motorola branding at the bottom, and the logo in the center. The phone looks somewhat similar to the Edge 30 Pro.
Previously, the phone’s specs were leaked online. The Motorola Edge 30 is said to come with a 6.55-inch P-OLED display. It will be a punch-hole panel with Full-HD+ resolution. The phone will have a 50-megapixel main lens, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide unit, and a 2-megapixel depth assist sensor at the back. On the front, it will have a 32MP lens for selfies and video calls.
The device is expected to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ SoC paired with 6GB/8GB of RAM LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB/256GB of internal storage. It will pack a 4,020mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging technology. Lastly, it will boot on Android 12 OS and have MYUX on top.
Now that the design and specs have been known, the only thing left to learn is the pricing. And for that, we might have to wait a little longer, as the tipster evleaks had previously hinted for an August debut.
Vivo announced a new top-tier flagship from a brand new series. We are talking about the Vivo X Note: launched alongside the Vivo X Fold, this device is actually the last-generation phone with the biggest display out there and it is even one of the best flagships in the market. But is it advanced enough to compete with the most powerful handsets by Samsung and Apple? We decided to answer this question by making a comparison between the specifications of the Vivo X Note, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, and the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra vs Vivo X Note vs Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max
The Vivo X Note has a premium and waterproof design, but it is not the most beautiful device of this trio. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra looks more elegant and you should not underestimate the iPhone as well. Talking about the iPhone 13 Pro Max, it comes with the most compact dimensions and the best build quality: it is made with a glass back protected by Ceramic Shield, a stainless steel frame, and it is waterproof up to 6 meters deep thanks to the IP68 certification (it has a better water resistance than its two rivals).
Display
It is very hard to establish which of these phones provides the best image quality when it comes to the displays. All of them come with top-tier display specifications including a 120 Hz refresh rate, very high resolutions, and HDR standards. According to the benchmarks, the iPhone 13 Pro Max is more impressive in terms of color reproduction. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is the only one to support the S Pen, which allows handwriting and drawing on the screen of the phone. It is also the only one with an ultrasonic fingerprint reader: the Vivo X Note relies on an optical fingerprint reader for authentication, while the iPhone 13 Pro Max supports 3D facial recognition and it has no fingerprint reader.
Specs & Software
Each of these devices comes with stunning performances, the best you can get in the market. Vivo X Note and Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and up to 12 GB of RAM, while the iPhone 13 Pro Max, which is actually even more impressive thanks to the iOS optimization, comes with an Apple A15 Bionic chipset. The Samsung and Vivo flagships run Android 12 out of the box, while the iPhone 13 Pro Max has iOS 15.
Camera
On the paper, the most impressive hardware department belongs to the Vivo X Note. It has a 50 MP main camera with OIS, an 8 MP periscope sensor with 5x optical zoom, a 12 MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom for portraits, and a 48 MP ultrawide camera, all with Carl Zeiss optics.
Even though Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and Vivo X Note pack bigger batteries, the iPhone 13 Pro Max offers a similar battery life thanks to iOS. But the Vivo X Note supports a faster charging technology with a power of 80W.
Price
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and the iPhone 13 Pro Max can be purchased globally for more than €1000/$1000, while the Vivo X Note is currently available only in China with a starting price of €870/$939. Which one would you pick?

The camera island, however, is similar to the In 2b, with an LED flash below the sensors. The front has a water-drop notch panel, a single selfie snapper placed at the top, and an earpiece.

Elements throughout the interface have been tweaked visually, be it icons, the quick settings panel, or system apps. You also get some of those enhanced A12 privacy features such as the new Privacy Dashboard and microphone and camera Indicators.

This is similar to what we’ve seen with the Realme GT Neo3, which is technically the first smartphone under the BBK Electronics wing to launch with the 150W fast charging tech from OPPO.
The Realme GT Neo3 was launched in two versions: one with a 4,500mAh battery and 150W fast charging, and the other with a slightly larger 5,000mAhh battery and 80W fast charging. So it is more than likely that that’s the route OnePlus will go with the OnePlus 10R.
OnePlus 10R specs and features (Rumored)
So far, the rumors surrounding the OnePlus 10R state that the device will come with a 6.7-inch E4 AMOLED display with a Full HD+ screen resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and a punch-hole cutout in the top-center of the screen for the front camera.
Under the hood, the device will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor, coupled with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It will come in two memory variants — 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage and 12GB RAM with 256GB internal storage.
There will be a triple-camera setup on the back panel, which will feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor, an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. On the front, the smartphone will have a 16-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL S5K3P9SP lens for taking selfies and video calling.

Samsung India may have accidentally released a teaser for a rugged SSD that could be launched soon. The upcoming T7 SSD is being promoted with two hashtags: Rugged Durability, and Drop Resistant. This is also reflected in the teaser poster which accompanied the post.
Although a specific release date has not been given, we expect it to be very soon. The two hashtags for the new drive could exemplify its ruggedness and durability. It is rumored to be a more rugged version of the 2020 T7 SSD. The T7 is a very strong device with a metal covering. It can withstand shocks of up to 2 meters.
The teaser reveals a striped body, a USB-C port, and a LED status indicator for the T7. It is also rumored to comply with the MIL-STD 810G durability standard. The T7 SSD comes with an AES 256-bit hardware encryption for improved data security. It also utilizes DTG (Dynamic Thermal Guard) and ePCM (Encapsulated Phase Change Material) to protect it from thermal damage. At all times it maintains an optimal operating temperature to avoid low-temperature burns.
The teaser seems to be the precursor to a more engaged and direct campaign. We’ll get to know more about the new rugged Samsung drive in India in the coming days.
Canada-based users of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 now have a couple of important health features activated in their devices. The recent firmware update of the Galaxy Watch 4 in Canada may have seen the blood pressure and electrocardiography (ECG) feature activated in the device.
This new update provides greater depth and functionality for Galaxy Watch 4 users which places the device on a higher pedestal. Galaxy Watch 4 series users in Canada will now be able to get more comprehensive health and fitness information from their devices. The updated Samsung Health Monitor app will provide the interface to enjoy a bouquet of services. The Galaxy Watch 4 series is compatible with Galaxy smartphones running on Android 7.0 and above.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Golf Edition
Since the release of the Galaxy Watch 4 series last year, the BP monitor and ECG function have been dormant in the device. Part of the issues was related to regulatory requirements that ought to be met before the features could be certified fit for use in Canada. The latest firmware update makes the BP and ECG sensors to be active on Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic models in Canada. Upon update of the firmware, users will be able to enable the BP and ECG options inside the app. You can then calibrate the smartwatch to provide accurate readings of the two health statistics.

iQOO Neo6 went official last week in China. Priced at 2,799 Yuan (~$439), the iQOO Neo6 is one of the most affordable Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 powered smartphones in China. Fresh information reveals that the Neo6 has bagged certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). This indicates that the iQOO Neo6 could be coming to India in the coming weeks.
The below-shown screenshot shared by tipster Mukul Sharma shows that two iQOO devices with model numbers I2022 and I2126 have received approval from the BIS authority. These model numbers reportedly belong to the upcoming iQOO Neo6 and the iQOO Z6 Pro 5G that is scheduled to debut on April 27 in India.
The BIS certification is a good hint that the iQOO Neo6 could be coming soon to India. Since the iQOO Z6 Pro 5G is launching next in India, it is likely that the Neo6 could be coming to India as early as May in India.
iQOO Neo6 specifications
The iQOO Neo6 features a 6.62-inch AMOLED display with a punch-hole design. It offers a Full HD+ resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate. POCO is gearing up to launch a new smartphone later this month. It is the F4 GT, which is set to be unveiled on April 26. However, it seems that will launch alongside a hearable, which might be the POCO Buds Pro Genshin Impact Edition.
Redmi AirDots 3 Pro Genshin Impact Edition
The special edition of the truly wireless earbuds was recently spotted receiving the Bluetooth SIG certification. In other words, its launch might be imminent and with the F4 GT announcement being just around the corner, it won’t be a surprise if the Chinese smartphone maker released both products together. The earbuds were spotted on the Bluetooth SIG website carrying the model number TWSEJ01ZM, which also hints that it is a rebranded version of the same limited edition model of another earbud from Redmi.
For those unaware, Xiaomi had launched the Redmi AirDots 3 Pro back in May 2021. Furthermore, it even released a Redmi AirDots 3 Pro Genshin Impact Edition earlier this year. Apart from special additions in its design, the limited edition model was identical to the AirDots 3 Pro. So, we can already make some educated guesses regarding the POCO Buds Pro Genshin Impact Edition’s specifications. It will likely house a 9mm audio driver, support active noise cancellation up to 35 decibels, and even offer a transparency mode as well.
Other features include Bluetooth 5.2, a dedicated gaming mode with 69ms latency, a triple microphone setup for the environmental noise cancellation feature, IPX4 water resistance rating, gesture controls, and more. The new special edition wireless earphone might also pack the same 35mAh battery pack for each earbud that offers 6 hours of audio playback and another 28 hours of total playback from its 470mAh battery pack on the charging case. Keep in mind that it is still too early to tell, and this is just speculation at the moment, so take this report with a pinch of salt.

HP is apparently planning on launching a new 17 inch foldable laptop. The latest rumor is that the company working on a laptop with a flexible OLED display and is sourcing a cover for this screen from a South Korean supplier.
According to TheElecreport, the known PC maker is supplying the thin ad flexible polyimide (PI) film that will cover the 17 inch flexible OLED panel for its foldable laptops from South Korean conglomerate, SK IE Technology (SKIET). For those unaware, foldable panels that brands employ usually consist of either UTG (Ultra Thin Glass) or the PI film. The former is prominent in Samsung Galaxy Z series devices. But it seems that Hewlett-Packard’s foldable laptop will favor the latter.
As per recent rumors, the foldable laptop will sport a 17 inch panel that has a 4K resolution. Furthermore, in its compact form, it will measure just 11 inches and can unfold to its full size of 17 inch. So, it’s likely that the display technology is from LG, which showcased larger sized bendable OLEDs back at the CES 2022 event. In other words, there’s a chance that it might also come with a stylus and touchscreen support.
TheElec found that SKIET and LG will be shipping around 10,000 flexible OLED displays and protective films to HP. The limited quantity is likely due to the niche market that the foldable device targets. Meaning, it is probably going to be quite expensive as well. But as of right now, we have no news regarding its pricing or even possible specifications. So stick around for more updates.

The news arrives from 91Mobiles, who exclusively learned from retail sources within the country. Notably, the price cut arrives just months after the smartphones were launched in the region. Although, both devices come with similar specifications. Talking about the Y33T first, it sports a 6.58 inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 2408×1080 pixels resolution. It packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC, which is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device houses a 50 megapixel triple camera sensor on the rear, while the front features a 16 megapixel selfie camera.
On the other hand, the Vivo Y33s also sports a similar 6.58 inch FHD+ LCD display with 2,400×1,080 pixels resolution. It also comes with a MediaTek Helio G80 SoC that is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. While the Y33T runs Android 12 out of the box, the Y33s comes with Android 11. On the rear, it houses a 50 megapixel triple camera setup, while the front features a 16 megapixel sensor.
With the new price drop, both smartphones are now available for 1,000 INR (roughly 13 US Dollars) cheaper in India. In other words, the Vivo Y33T, which launched for 18,990 INR (roughly 250 US Dollars), is now priced at 17,990 INR (roughly 235 US Dollars). Meanwhile, the Y33s was originally launched for 17,990 INR, but saw a price hike to 18,990 INR. So, the price slash brings it back to its original price tag. The new price cut is effective as of today (19th April 2022), which should be seen in Amazon, Flipkart, and other retail stores as well.
