This year was a busy year for Xiaomi, especially for patent filings. The Chinese phone maker had previously filed patents for two foldable phones dubbed Mi Mix Fold and Mi Mix Flip. Recently, we heard about the Xiaomi Mi Fold with an inward folding design. Now, Xiaomi has filed another patent that showcases a simple flip phone in all its glory.
The Xiaomi flip is a new flip phone from the Chinese smartphone maker that comes with a simple flip mechanism. Xiaomi had filed the new patent with WIPO(World Intellectual Property Organisation) and it was first discovered by 91Mobies.
According to the patent, the Xiaomi flip has a Mi Mix Flip-like design with an inward folding mechanism. It seems to have also taken notes from the Samsung Galaxy Z flip as the Xiaomi flip has almost the same form factor.
The smartphone has dual-rear cameras placed horizontally, along with a secondary display. When unfolded, there is a large primary screen with thin bezels. It has a dual front camera setup at the top left of the screen.
Moreover, the phone has a volume rocker and a power button on the right. It features a speaker grille and a USB Type-C port at the bottom.
As it is still in the patent stage, it could be a long time until we see the device materialize into something real. But till then, the leaks about such phones have got us covered.

Realme unveiled the X7 series last year with flagship-like specs at affordable pricing. Now, the upcoming Realme X9, the successor to the X7 series, has arrived on multiple certifications, hinting for a launch closer than expected.
A smartphone with model number RMX3361 appeared on TENAA and China’s 3C confirming key specs. It is said to be the upcoming Realme X9 smartphone from the series. The documentation reveals that the device will launch with a 6.43-inch display. It is expected to be a thin-bezel AMOLED panel.
Realme X7 series
Inside, the smartphone is said to pack a 4,200mAh battery cell with some sort of fast charging technology. The listing reveals the dimensions of the phone to be 159.2 x 73.5 x 8.0mm.
Another device from the series dubbed the Realme X9 Pro with model number RMX3381 arrived at Russia’s EEC certification, revealing major specs.
The Realme X9 Pro is touted to come with a 6.55-inch curved display. It is expected to be a Super AMOLED panel with a high refresh rate. In terms of optics, the smartphone will feature a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary lens, a 16MP IMX481 ultra-wide sensor, and lastly a 2MP B&W sensor.
Under the hood, it is expected to come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone is expected to have a slightly larger battery of 4,500mAh. It should support 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging technology.
The global electric bike market experienced rapid growth during the past year, driven partly by the coronavirus pandemic. The growth trajectory has continued to 2021 and an array of exciting products have been unveiled in the budding market. One of the e-bike variants is folding bikes, which offer compactness in handling an electric bike. These folding e-bikes usually come shorn with all the glamour and beauty you may attach to some of its non-folding variants. Fiido hopes to change the perspective with its latest folding e-bike series – the Fiido X and X Lite.
Fiido has released a comprehensive specification list of its latest folding e-bikes, together with an impressive video detailing the features and performance of the X series folding e-bikes. The new e-bike feature several upgrades and design enhancements from its predecessor, the D11 folding e-bike. As per the video released by Fiido, we see a lady donning the new Fiido e-bike outclassing her opponents in a bike race excellently.
The Fiido X Lite is a lighter version (and less expensive) version of the Fiido X across several components, including battery size, range, top speed, and price. The two models are pedal-assisted with a torque sensor that helps to push the bicycles beyond their stated ranges. They both have Seatpost-integrated batteries and a driving range of 60km/ 130km, respectively.
The Fiido X has top speeds of 25km/h, at par with most e-bikes across different countries, except in the US, where maximum speeds of 32km/h are allowed on public roads. The magnesium frame both models have embedded folding mechanisms for transforming the bike from a bike to a compact travel companion. The 7-Speed Shimano transmission in both models offers seamless switching of speeds from high to low and vice versa as the situation demands. There are key code locks for the batteries, LED lighting, solid tires, and other safety features.
Some features of the two models are also different, such as the hydraulic disc brake system in the X model compared to the mechanical disc brakes in the lower model.
The two Fiido folding e-bikes will commence pre-sales on July 13, with the X model selling at an extremely low price of $1,099, while the X Lite goes for $899 during the period. Fiido expects to have a successful pre-sale period that could eclipse the $1 million pre-sale performance of its predecessor, the D11 last year.

Design
From the design point of view, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G offers something more. Despite the OnePlus Nord CE 5G is more compact, Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G remains more attractive because it is one of the thinnest and most lightweight phones out there: it is just 6.8 mm thick and weighs just 159 grams. Further, its back cover is original and minimalistic, with a modern camera design. Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G has even better build quality: its display is protected by Gorilla Glass 6 and the phone has the IP53 certification which makes it dust resistant and splash resistant.
Display
Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G sports a better display and it has one of the best displays in the midrange segment. The 6.55-inch panel of this phone is able to show up to one billion colors with a Full HD+ resolution, a pretty high brightness, the HDR10+ certification, and a Full HD+ resolution, as well as the AMOLED technology. The OnePlus Nord CE 5G has an AMOLED display too with a 90 Hz refresh rate, but it is not able to reach the number of colors shown by the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G. Both the phones pack an in-display fingerprint reader for authentication.
Specs & Software
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G wins the hardware comparison as well, thanks to its Snapdragon 780G mobile platform which is definitely superior to the Snapdragon 750G found on the OnePlus Nord CE 5G. And it is not all: the phone is also equipped with a UFS 2.2 internal storage instead of UFS 2.1. But there is an exception to this for the strongest variant of the OnePlus Nord CE 5G: in this configuration, it offers 12 GB of RAM, while Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G stops at 8 GB. The handsets run Android 11 out of the box with a highly customized user interface.
Camera
OnePlus Nord CE 5G and Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G are more or less at the same level if we talk about the camera performance. They come with a 64 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultrawide sensor, as well as an additional macro camera (5 MP on the Mi 11 Lite, 2 MP on the Nord CE 5G). They also come with a 16 MP front camera and a 20 MP snapper, respectively. On the paper, Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G is slightly better.
The OnePlus Nord CE 5G has a bigger battery with a capacity of 4500 mAh and it wins the battery life comparison as it is able to last more on a single charge. Its rival is able to charge faster thanks to a power of 33W, but the battery capacity is just 4250 mAh.
Price
Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G is available globally with street prices under €350/$415, while OnePlus Nord CE 5G costs €299/$355 in its base variant. If we exclude the battery life, Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G is a better phone and it wins this comparison. It sports a better display, it has a thinner and lighter design, and it even comes with the Gorilla Glass 6 protection and the IP53 certification. Further, it is equipped with a more powerful chipset.

In recent years, fast charging technology in smartphones has had various advancements thanks to breakthroughs in technology. These improvements have also made wireless charging faster and more relevant in the market, but, Xiaomi is apparently working on making this technology even better, especially for foldable smartphones.
The Chinese tech giant had filed for a patent titled “Wireless Charging Method and Device, Folding Screen Electronic Equipment, Storage Media” back in 8th January 2020. Now, this patent has been granted, with a publication number of CN113098152A that was spotted on the CNIPA. While the patent doesn’t reveal any specifics regarding the fast charging technology or has any images of a particular device, it describes how a fast charging tech on a foldable phones would work.
Interestingly, the foldable handset will support wireless charging from either half of its rear panel. So regardless of whether it is folded or which side you place it on, the device will still support wireless charging even if only one half is in contact with the wireless charging pad. In other words, the device can be charged from either halves or the entire unfolded rear panel as well, making it more convenient for the users.
Furthermore, the patent states that the wireless charging device will first initiate a handshake communication with the foldable handset to obtain its supported charging type. This could enable the wireless charger to be more efficient and shorten the time to charge the foldable smartphone to full. Keep in mind that this is still just a patent and we have no way of confirming if Xiaomi is actually working on such technology, or is just covering all bases.
Accessories maker boAt will soon unveil its latest neckband wireless headset, the boAt Rockerz 333, with several impressive features. The product was recently listed on Flipkart but the product page has been pulled down as of the time of reporting. The impending launch of the Rockerz 333 follows the successful release of the Rockerz 335 and Rockerz 330 within the past year.
The boAt Rockerz 333 comes with braided cables for enhanced device durability, as the cable is tangle-free. The upcoming device will also feature several excellent properties that will give the user the required comfort and entertainment that boAt has continued to project with its exciting accessories. The ergonomically-friendly boAt Rockerz 333 features Bluetooth 5.0, and it is possible to connect to dual input sources and switch between the two seamlessly. The Rockerz 333 has support for Voice Assistant, and each bud snugly fits into the ear with the presence of comfortable silicone fins. Another seemingly anti-tangle feature is that the buds can attach to themselves when not in use because of magnets’ presence. The excellent design and operation of the buds are accentuated with the IPX5 rating, meaning that the device has some degree of water resistance.
The boAt Rockerz 333 packs extensive power into its battery. It can last the whole day on a full charge, which guarantees top-notch entertainment and multitasking using the neckband wireless headset. The boAt Rockerz 333 boasts 30 hours of battery life. In addition, the device features USB-C super-fast charging with a 10-minute charge yielding up to 10 hours of playback for the device. The Rockerz 333 uses ASAP fast charging technology that was also used in the boAt Rockerz 330 that was unveiled in May 2021.
Pricing details and some other important information for the boAt Rockerz 333 are not yet available at this time. However, we expect more details to be out as we inch closer to the launch of the device.
Xiaomi announced the Mi 11 Ultra in India in late April. However, the smartphone went on sale for the first time only recently. Just as soon as the phone hit the stores, the company has now started rolling out the MIUI 12.5 update for it.
MIUI 12.5 is the latest version of MIUI. It is a minor upgrade for devices running MIUI 12. Xiaomi has been rolling out this update to eligible devices for months.

While Windows 11 is expected to launch globally later this year, Microsoft has revealed some interesting information regarding the update cycle of its new operating system version ahead of the official roll out.
According to an IndianExpressreport, the American tech giant has promised that the new Windows 11 OS will get one new version update every year. Notably, this is down from two major software releases that the company rolled out each year for the Windows 10. In other words, Windows 11 will be getting updates less frequently compared to the current OS version, although, this might also led to lesser number of bugs making their through each update.
Furthermore, the new Windows 11 updates might arrive along with new Windows 10 updates during fall of each year. Microsoft also added that it will support each version of Windows 11 Pro, Windows 11 Pro Education, Windows 11 Pro for Workstations, and Windows 10 Home for 24 months after the initial release. After this two year period however, users will be required to upgrade to continue receiving more security update. On the other hand, the Windows 11 Enterprise, Windows 11 Education, and Windows 11 IoT Enterprise will have a 36 months long support period.
Interestingly, Microsoft will continue to support Windows 10 for now and has promised to offer support for Windows 10 Pro, Windows 10 Pro Education, Windows 10 Pro for Workstations and Windows 10 Home for another 18 months. For those interested in the upcoming OS version, you can check out the system requirements for Windows 11 by clicking on this link here, or even a OnePlus 6T running Crysis on Windows 11.
AnTuTu has just released its June 2021 list for the best performing flagship Android smartphones. In this list, the Nubia Red Magic 6 takes the throne, outperforming the likes of ROG Phone 5, iQOO 7, and others.
As per the AnTuTurankings, the Red Magic 6 leads the flagship smartphone. It scored 842,168 points in the AnTuTu benchmarks. This marks a 20,000 points lead over the Realme GT that was the leading flagship device from a month prior. Under the hood, the Red Magic 6 sports the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC paired with the 16GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage alongside a 165Hz high refresh rate panel on the front.
Notably, the Snapdragon 888 SoC dominates the list with the top 10 Android flagships sporting this chipset, although, the scores of various devices varies. The ROG Phone 5 took the second spot with an average score of 815,628 points, followed by the iQOO 7’s 815,343 points that had it come third in the list. The top five spots was rounded by the Realme GT, which fell to fourth place with 813,851 points, and the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra that came fifth with 797,194 points.
Talking about the mid range list, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite held on to its crown for the top performing device (526,282 points) in this segment, after beating the Redmi 10X 5G back in May 2021. The Honor 30 with its Kirin 985 SoC took the second spot (454,528 points) and was one of the only two devices on this list that had the Kirin lineup of processor. Interestingly, three smartphones with MediaTek’s Dimensity 800U devices (realme 7 5G, Narzo 30 Pro 5G, and X7 5G) also made the list over just one from last month’s rankings.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra supports 67W wired fast charging. But the smartphone ships with a 55W charger in India. Now, as the device is finally on sale in the country, the company is bringing the 67W charger to the region just like it promised in May.
Xiaomi has revealed that it will be launching a 67W charger in India on July 12. Going by the teasers, this product could be called Mi 67W SonicCharge Charger just like the Mi 33W SonicCharge 2.0 Charger from late last year.
Going by the official teaser page on Xiaomi India’s website, the charger will be able to charge all kinds of products from Mi Bands to laptops. It will also support Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 protocol.
Further, the accessory will have a USB Type-A port. It will ship with a USB Type-A to USB Type-C cable. Hence, buyers need not invest separately in a cable to experience maximum power output.
Xiaomi claims this charger to be small, however, we don’t have any information on its dimensions and weight. Since the company has not mentioned GaN (Gallium Nitride) in any of its teasers, the charger should be most likely based on silicon.
Last but not least, the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 67W SonicCharge Charger will come with built-in surge protection.
With that being said, how much do you think Xiaomi will charge for this new charger? Do let us know your guesses in the comment box below.
Samsung announced the Galaxy M21 last year in March 2020 in India. A fresh leak reveals that the company is working on a new variant of the same phone called the Galaxy M21 2021 Edition. The M21’s model number is SM-M215F, whereas the upcoming phone has an SM-M215G model number. The SM-M215G handset was previously seen with the Galaxy M21 Prime Edition moniker at the Google Play Console. A fresh leak by 91mobileshas revealed the specifications of the smartphone. However, the report claims that the device will be called the Galaxy M21 2021 edition.
The publication revealed that the Galaxy M21 2021 Edition will have the same specs as the existing Galaxy M21. The only noticeable difference is that the 2021 model will be loaded with the latest One UI 3.1 flavored Android 11 OS.
Since the phone is said to arrive with the same specs, it is likely to end up as the Galaxy M21 Prime Edition. To recollect, the South Korean company launched the Galaxy M31 Prime Edition, which came with the same specs as the existing M31. However, the Prime Edition came with Amazon ecosystem apps and complimentary Prime membership of 3 months. The same perks can be expected from the Galaxy M21 Prime Edition.
In terms of specs, it may come with a 6.4-inch S-AMOLED HD+ display, a 20-megapixel front camera, and a triple camera system that has a 48-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 5-megapixel depth assist lens. The back panel of the phone is expected to feature a traditional fingerprint scanner.

According to a 9To5Macreport, the analyst claims that the Cupertino based giant will begin the production of the new 14 inch and 16 inch MacBook Pros in the third quarter of this year. Furthermore, Kuo also stated that the brand has been investing in Mini LED display panels, which it is seeking to include in more products in the future. In other words, the latest MacBook Pro launching this year might feature Mini LED displays.
Earlier this year, Apple had launched the 12.9 inch iPad Pro, which was the company’s first Mini LED device. Mini LED display is basically comprised of thousands of really small LEDs in the backlight, which enables it to offer higher contrast ratio and deeper blacks like OLED panels. As per previous reports from Kuo, the new MacBook Pro will have a flat edged design along with a more powerful M1X chip.
The analyst also added that the Mini LED panel that will be featured on the MacBook Pros will also arrive in another model of the company’s notebooks. In 2022, this display technology will also arrive in the next generation of MacBook Air, which is also rumored to feature the company’s M2 chip that will have a more advanced GPU. Keep in mind, this is still an unconfirmed report so take this news with a pinch of salt and stay tuned for more updates.
