Razer Iskur X Gaming Chair is the brand’s second and more affordable Gaming Chair

Razer has officially announced the Iskur X Gaming Chair. The Iskur X comes at a lower price compared to its predecessor but still retains most of the essential features of the Iskur Gaming Chair, which was launched in 2020. The lumbar support is left out from the Iskur X, although a lumbar support pillow is available as a separate accessory.Razer Iskur X Gaming Chair

Much of the excellent materials deployed in the production of the Iskur Gaming Chair were also extended to the Iskur X. The durable, high-density foam inside the chair provides sufficient cushion for users and long-lasting comfort. The foam is produced from pretty durable materials, and a person can be on the chair for long periods without feeling any discomfort.Razer Iskur X Gaming Chair

At a retail price of $399, the Razer Iskur X Gaming Chair comes cheaper. This could appeal to a segment of the gaming populace, although the reduced price implies a reduction in some aspects of the maximum comfort desired from a high-quality gaming chair. As we mentioned earlier, the built-in lumbar support, a critical ergonomic component, is left out in the Iskur X. There are also differences in the armrests between the two gaming chairs. While we have 2D armrests with the Iskur, its successor, the Iskur X has 4D armrests.Razer Iskur X Gaming Chair

For gaming fans, a gaming chair is an important accessory for a compelling gaming experience. These customized chairs provide several features that combine to give the user an exciting experience. Razer expects its new Gaming Chair to receive a warm acceptance on the market. This could be the case with the lower price that the Iskur X will retail.Razer Iskur X Gaming Chair

The Razer Iskur X comes with a decent price tag of $399 and is available via Razer’s website.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 4G price in India leaked ahead of launch

Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 4G and Mi 11 Lite 5G at the end of March this year. Yesterday, when Xiaomi India Managing Director, Manu Kumar hinted the arrival of the Mi 11 Lite in India, it was not clear whether the company will both launching both 5G and 4G variant in the country. An exclusive report by India Today Tech revealed that only the 4G edition of the phone will be made available in India. It has also tipped the pricing of the base model of the phone.

Xiaomi is unlikely to bring the Mi 11 Lite 5G in India, which is priced at 369 euros (~Rs 32,800; ~$449) in Europe. If it arrived with similar pricing in the country, it may overlap with the Xiaomi Mi 11X 5G, which has a starting price of Rs 29,999. As far as the Mi 11 Lite 4G’s price in India is concerned, the publication claimed that its base variant will cost under Rs 25,000 (~$342).

Xiaomi Mi 9 SE ‘Global’ variant gets MIUI 12.5 update based on Android 11

Xiaomi launched the Mi 9 SE in early 2019 as the world’s first Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 smartphone. It was unveiled alongside the Mi 9 and the Mi 9 Explorer Edition (aka Mi 9 Transparent Edition). The device debuted with MIUI 10 based on Android 9.0 Pie. It was later updated to MIUI 11, followed by Android 11 and MIUI 12 respectively. Now, two years after its release, the handset has started receiving the MIUI 12.5 update in international markets.

Xiaomi Mi 9 SE Camera Featured
Xiaomi Mi 9 SE

Xiaomi began to roll out the MIUI 12.5 update for the Chinese variant of the Mi 9 SE in late March. The update also brought Android 11 for this phone, just like the company confirmed back in December 2020.

The same update has now started seeding out for the internal variants of this smartphone. Currently, the Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 update for the Mi 9 SE is live for the ‘Global’ variant with build number V12.5.1.0.RFBMIXM.

The above-mentioned software build is labeled ‘Stable’. Therefore, theoretically, the update should be available for all units of the Mi 9 SE Global variant. Anyway, since OTA updates are known for staged rollout, it may take some time to reach all units.

Last but not least, the remaining two international variants of the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, namely ‘EEA’ and ‘Russia’ should also get the MIUI 12.5 update based on Android 11 in the coming days.

Samsung Galaxy M21 Prime Edition to launch in India soon

Samsung launched the Galaxy M31 and the Galaxy M21 in India in early 2020. In the second half of the year, the company introduced the Galaxy M31 Prime Edition. As the name suggests, this version of the handset comes with Amazon apps and services. Interestingly, the Galaxy M21 did not get a similar variant last year. But it is set to release now; more than a year after the phone’s initial debut.

Samsung Galaxy M21 Featured
Samsung Galaxy M21

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy M21 Prime Edition has been spotted on multiple websites. This smartphone with model number SM-M215G is currently listed on the Samsung India website’s support page, Google Play Console, and BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards).

Unfortunately, these listings do not reveal anything about the handset. However, going by Galaxy M31 Prime Edition, we expect the Galaxy M21 Prime Edition to feature the exact same set of specs as the vanilla Galaxy M21 but with pre-loaded Amazon apps, a 3-month Amazon Prime subscription, and a slightly higher price tag.

Hence, the forthcoming Samsung phone should come with a 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display, Exynos 9611 SoC, 48MP (wide) + 8MP (ultra-wide) + 5MP (depth) triple camera setup, 20MP selfie camera, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, 6,000mAh battery, and 15W fast charging.

As of now, there’s no official word from either Samsung or Amazon regarding the launch of this smartphone in India.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE renders showcase design, color options

Samsung is speculated to hold a launch event on Aug. 19 to announce the Galaxy Z Fold3, Galaxy Z Flip3, and Galaxy S21 FE. A recent leak by reliable tipster Evan Blass hinted that the S21 FE could be arriving as the successor to the Galaxy Note 20 lineup from last year. He is now back with leak renders of the S21 FE to showcase its front and rear design.

As can be seen in the images below, the upcoming Galaxy S21 FE will be available in at least four colors such as black, white, olive green, and purple. Blass claimed, “Despite having more in common with the S21 base and Plus models, the S21 FE features stock marketing wallpaper more akin to that of the S21 Ultra.” What could this mean? Will S21 FE come with support for S Pen? It is advisable to wait for newer reports to confirm whether it will come with S Pen support.

The Galaxy S21 came with a plastic back, which suggests that the Galaxy S21 Fan Edition’s rear panel could be made up of the same material. A vertical triple camera system can be seen at the upper-left corner of the phone’s back. An LED flash can be seen next to the camera unit.  Coming to the front, the Galaxy S21 FE can be seen sporting slim bezels with an Infinity-O display design. The right edge of the device has a volume rocker and a power key.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE specifications (Rumored)

Past reports have claimed that the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will feature a 6.5-inch FHD+ S-AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a 32-megapixel front camera, and its rear camera setup includes an OIS-assisted 12-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel superwide lens, and a 12-megapixel or 8-megapixel telephoto snapper.

The Snapdragon 888 SoC will power the S21 FE with 6 GB / 8 GB of RAM. It will come with 128 GB / 256 GB of built-in storage, and it may lack support for a microSD card. The device will house a 4,500mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. It is also expected to support wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.

Indian court dismisses 5G lawsuit filed by Celebrity, imposes ₹20 lakh ($27K) fine

An Indian high court has dismissed a lawsuit filed by Indian celebrity Juhi Chawla against the rollout of 5G infrastructure in India. The lawsuit had sought to stop the telecom industry’s plans to make 5G connectivity become a reality.

The plaintiff who is an actress and environment activist had contended that the 5G rollout would result in irreversible damage to the environment and “no person, animal, bird, insect, and plant on earth will be able to avoid exposure, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to radiation 10x to 100x times greater than what exists today.”

However, the Delhi high court which heard the case has thrown out the lawsuit today. The trial judge chastised the plaintiff and described the lawsuit as meant to seek publicity. The court also dismissed the suit and awarded a cost of ₹ 20 lakh (around $27,000 USD) against the plaintiff for abuse of the court process.

5G
5G will be at the forefront of new technologies

The court proceeding was brought with several dramas as a result of the huge sensation it generated, apparently due to the spiking COVID 19 cases in India. The court proceeding on Wednesday was interrupted severally despite being a virtual hearing. That is because the actress had shared the link on Twitter and Instagram. Several of the participants in the session who joined using the link shared on social media sang songs from the actress’ movies, thereby disrupting the proceeding. The infuriated judge had to order the Delhi police to fish out the disruptors and to take action against them by issuing a contempt notice.

The COVID 19 pandemic afforded conspiracy theorists another opportunity to campaign against 5G towers across different cities. Even in developed nations like the UK, there were reports of conspiracy theorists burning down a 5G tower as a result of false claims that the COVID 19 pandemic is linked to radiation emitted from 5G cell towers.

Teclast TBOLT F15 Pro cost-effective laptop launched with 15.6-inch HD display and 12GB RAM

Teclast is a Chinese laptop manufacturer that cost-effectively offers great-looking laptops. After the success of Teclast F7 Air launched this year, the company is back again with a sleeker model, the Teclast TBOLT F15 Pro. With its unique metal body design and underlying hardware, we hope this one will be a close competitor to some of the expensive Ultrabooks out there in the market.

teeclast laptop

Must See: Teclast launches the TBOLT 10 DG with 10th-gen Intel Core i7, backlit keyboard & more

The sleeker design of the device will make this new TBOLT F15 Pro the favorite for the business class and any other who loves a simple and, at the same time, a powerful laptop. Thanks to the underlying hardware, the device can handle most of everything you throw at it. Furthermore, one can use it to play some modern AAA games at low-medium graphical presets. So let’s have a look at what this one has to offer.

TBOLT F15 Pro Features and Specifications

The power factors

The TBOLT F15 Pro uses the 10th gen Intel Core i3-1005G1, which is a downgrade compared to the much powerful i7 CPU that comes with the TBOLT 10 DG. But the 10nm chip paired with Intel’s Turbo Boost and Hyper-Threading is a powerful CPU capable of handling day-to-day tasks. The 2-core 4-thread processor can go up to 3.4GHz on each thread with a TDP of only 15W. The 4MB cache is sufficient enough to keep the processor engaged.

The device uses Intel Integrated GPU, and yes, Intel GPUs are finally good at handling AAA gaming. The GPU is also capable of working with Adobe Photoshop and Premiere. The GPU can go up to 900MHz and can drive a 60Hz 4K monitor/projector with ease.

As for the display, the device comes equipped with a 15.6-inch FHD IPS panel with a resolution of 1920×1080. The minimal bezels and 2.5D curved edges ensure a premium viewing experience.

Memory and Storage

TBOLT F15 Pro comes equipped with 12gigs of LPDDR4 RAM and 256gigs of high-speed SSD. This configuration will ensure minimal load times and improved performance. Over the lifetime of its use, if you feel the storage is not sufficient, you could use the Micro SD slot to expand your storage. Upgrading onboard RAM or SSD might be difficult (or impossible) in devices of this form factor.

Design and Battery

As said earlier, the device has a sleek design, and metal contributes to the strength of this thin and light laptop. The device uses dual 8mm copper heat pipes and a single cooling fan to improved cooling. The lower profile of the fan minimizes noise at extensive loads. The non-removable 53.58Wh battery is more than enough for you to get through your day.

Some may find the travel of the included keyboard to be a little short compared to similar models in the competition. But Teclast claims that the short keyboard travel is to achieve the device thickness as low as possible. But this shortcoming is compensated with the inclusion of the large and responsive trackpad.

Budget Android smartphone from Reliance Jio and Google could be launched before Diwali

Last year, Reliance Jio partnered with Google for launching an entry-level smartphone running the Android operating system. It has taken a bit longer to get launched than expected but now it seems that the launch could happen soon.

The phone, which is being developed in partnership with Google, has already crossed the Research & Development stage and the company is exploring the option of sourcing components from the likes of Tata Electronics.

It is currently under testing at the manufacturing facilities of Wingtech Mobiles, Dixon Technologies, UTL Neolyncs, and Flextronics Technologies, says the report. As previously noted, the phone is likely to be priced around $50 and the pre-booking could start in the coming months in India.

Citing one of the top executives, the report adds that Google’s job is to optimize the software of the device while Chinese Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) Wingtech will design the hardware while other vendors will be assembling the device.

There’s a possibility that the upcoming smartphone’s specifications and pricing could be announced at Reliance‘s Annual General Meeting (AGM) which is scheduled on 24th June but the actual sale date could be a few weeks or months later.

OnePlus re-releases Android 12 Developer Preview builds for OnePlus 9, 9 Pro

OnePlus is one of the several OEMs part of the Android 12 Beta program. However, the brand had to pull the builds for the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro soon after their release due to bugs. Over two weeks later, the company has finally re-released these builds.

OnePlus 9 Pro Android 12 Developer Preview

The OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro are the brand’s flagship smartphones of 2021. The OnePlus 9R, on the other hand, is only sold in India and China. Hence, the company has only released Android 12 Beta builds for the former two devices.

Although Google calls this program Android 12 Beta, most OEMs, including OnePlus, call it Android 12 Developer Preview. Anyway, the software builds offered by each company is different from one another.

According to Max Weinbach, the Android 12 Developer Preview builds for the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro appear to be ColorOS and not OxygenOS.

That said, the initial builds had an issue, which made the phones get stuck Factory Reset Protection (FRP) check. OnePlus says that it has fixed this bug in the new builds. However, like any other OEM, it recommends users to not install these builds if they have no experience in software development.

Here’s the list of known issues, as per the company.

  • All data will be cleared while flashing the build
  • Video call function is not available
  • Fingerprint unlock and face unlock are unavailable
  • Certain UI screens look less than desirable
  • Some apps may not function as expected
  • System stability issues
  • Probability of camera crash when HDR mode enabled.

Last but not least, since OnePlus warns about the risk of bricking phones, we would recommend not to try these builds if you are not familiar with beta software.

Xiaomi backed Fund invests in Chinese self driving system developer Zongmu

The Chinese self driving vehicle system developer Zongmu recently raised 190 million US Dollars in its series D funding round, which also had the Xiaomi backed Fund invest in the company.

Xiaomi Mi Car

According to a CaixinGlobal report, Zongmu executed the financing in three stages, with the last round being led by the Hubei Xiaomi Yangtze River Industrial Fund, an investment fund backed by the Chinese smartphone maker. The news arrives from a statement from the automotive system developer earlier this week. Notably, this investment round also included the likes of Denso, Jadex Capital, Cowin Capital, Qualcomm Ventures, and Fosun Capital also joining in.

The sizeable investment into the firm is indicative of the growing investor interest in industry that has been presenting an economic opportunity. This funding will also enable Zongmu to possibly work with Xiaomi to explore the uses of its autonomous driving technology, as per the statement. Interestingly, the news arrives as the smartphone maker announced its plans on venturing into the smart car market, unveiling its plans back in March 2021.

This would have the brand join the likes of other tech giants like Baidu and Huawei that have also shown interest in the smart car market in recent times. For those unaware, Zongmu was founded back in 2013 and focuses on developing autonomous driving and advanced driver assistance technologies and products related to positioning and mapping as well. Xiaomi delays Mi 11 Ultra sale in India, launch date to be announced once ‘situation improves’

Xiaomi has just announced that the Mi 11 Ultra shipments have been delayed in India. This move arrives as the company faced issues that were ‘beyond their control.’ Although, the brand will announce a sale date once the situation improves.

Earlier this week, the Chinese tech giant shared the announcement regarding the delay of the Mi 11 Ultra sales in India on its official Indian Twitter handle. In a hared letter, the company said that “We understand that many of you are keen to buy this ultra-premium flagship smartphone. However, due to circumstances beyond our control, we regret to inform you that there will be a delay in shipments of Mi 11 Ultra.” Xiaomi added that it is working hard to bring its latest flagship into the Indian market as soon as possible and will announce the sale date once “current situation improves soon.”

While the company refrained from revealing the exact detail or issues that are causing the delay, it is speculated that the vendor might be facing supply and production difficulties due to the resurgence of the coronavirus pandemic that has led to lockdowns being imposed in the country again. For those unaware, the Mi 11 Ultra is priced at 69,990 INR (roughly 960 US Dollars) for its single 12GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration.

Xiaomi

The device has been launched in two color variants, namely Black and White variants. It sports a 6.81 inch WQHD+ E4 AMOLED primary display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate along with a 1.1 inch secondary display. Under the hood, the smartphone houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and is powered by a large 5,000mAh battery pack that supports 67W fast charging as well.
