Xiaomi Mi Max 3 launching in India soon, hints Xiaomi via tweet

Xiaomi has finally pulled off the chords and has teased the Mi Max 3 for the launch in India. Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is the manufacturer’s largest phone with the 6.9-inch of immersive display and gigantic 5500 mAh battery on the back. It is quite big than the Mi Max 2 and the Mi Max debut variant which was launched with 6.44 inches display and 4850 mAh battery couple of years ago.

A recent tweet from the Xiaomi hints that the Mi Max 3 is on its way to India. Well, Xiaomi has not clearly stated that the launch is happening in India but has given a hint. It is expected to arrive in India with the price range of Rs 20000 (~Yuan 1893 /$275).

Additionally, Xiaomi Mi Max 3 features a 6.9 inch of immersive full screen display with 2160×1080 full HD resolution having an aspect ratio of 18:9. Further, in the performance department, Xiaomi has added a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC with all cores clocked at 1.8GHz. There’s a Adreno 509 Graphics processor to handle day-to-day graphics intensive tasks. It is available in 4GB RAM variant with Dual channel LPDDR4x, eMMC 5.1 64 GB internal storage.

In camera department, Xiaomi has integrated the AI support with the 12 megapixel + 5 megapixel dual camera with f/1.9 aperture on the rear side. On the front side there’s a 8MP camera having a 1.12μm pixels with f/2.0 aperture. It also carries AI based features such as AI Portrait mode, AI beautify and face unlock. It can produce videos of 1080p resolution at 30fps, slow mo video support is also present at 120-fps with 720p resolution.

Apple demonstrates the iPhone XS 4K, Slo-Mo and Time-lapse features in video

Apple took the wraps off its latest range of iPhones comprising the iPhone XS, XS Max and XR just last week. The iPhone XR is a trimmed down version of the XS and XS Max and thus has an “affordable” pricing when compared to the two XS models. This article is focused on the iPhone XS whose photography prowess has been demonstrated in a video released by Apple.

Apple iPhones are not popular for their batteries but their photographic capabilities. The YouTube video gives a first look at the stunning video shot on the new iPhone XS. The video is also said to be the highest quality video of any smartphone and we haven’t seen any better. In one of the experiment, water, fire, metal and light were used to create mesmerizing scenes using 4K, Slo-mo, and Time-lapse. Apple used a mixture of soapy water and corn syrup, as well as glass and ink to create some psychedelic images. As a reminder, the iPhone XS is equipped with a 12-megapixel primary lens with f/1.8 aperture and a 12-megapixel secondary telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture for lossless 2X zoom. In the past couple of weeks, a new Redmi phone has been in the news. That phone is the Redmi Note 6 Pro and it will take over from the Redmi Note 5 Pro as the king of the Redmi series.

Just this morning, images showing the specs of the phone leaked on the web and it revealed a couple of key specs. Now we have gotten exclusive info which makes us believe the launch of the phone is very close.

According to an insider, the Redmi Note 6 Pro has begun shipping to major sellers and stock should be ready by tomorrow. This sort of explains how those images showing the phone’s specs came to be. We want to believe they originated from a seller who already received supply.

Seeing as the Xiaomi has an event on Wednesday, September 19. We believe they will most likely announce the Redmi Note 6 Pro alongside the Mi 8 Youth and Mi 8 Screen Fingerprint edition rather than having a separate launch for it.

Xiaomi is busying teasing on the Mi 8 Youth Edition and Mi 8 Screen Fingerprint Edition smartphones that are poised to go official on Wednesday. Coming October, the Chinese manufacturer will be debuting the highly anticipated Mi MIX 3 flagship phone. An official image and a leaked video that have surfaced in the recent past have also revealed that the Mi MIX 3 will be sporting a manual slider design. In the previous week, a leaked photo showing the front panel of the Mi MIX 3 had surfaced on Weibo. Today, new shots of the tempered protector of the smartphone have surfaced online to tease its design.

The MI MIX 3 screen protector images show that the handset will be equipped with slimmer side bezels. The chin of the device is not as slim as the bezels present on the side bezels, but it is certainly thinner than the chin of the Mi MIX 2S that houses the front-facing camera. The selfie snapper is no longer present on the bottom bezel on the Mi MIX 3.

The official image of the phone that was shared by Xiaomi President Lin Bin in the previous month had revealed that it does not feature a chin-mounted front camera. Few months ago, Xiaomi had launched the Redmi 6 series of smartphones in China and the company now seems to be prepping to launch Redmi Note 6 series in the near future. In August, popular tipster Roland Quandt had shared vital information on the storage and color variants of the upcoming Redmi Note 6 Pro. Today, another leakster has revealed a leaked image of the Redmi Note 6 Pro phone on Twitter. The image also showcases the key specifications of the smartphone.

The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro that was launched in July this year features a notched screen. Hence, it is very likely that the Redmi Note 6 Pro will be also coming with a notched display. The leaked photo does not reveal the upper portion of the phone, but the supported 19:9 aspect ratio clearly hints that it will be coming with a notched screen.

The key specifications mentioned on the Redmi Note 6 Pro shows that it is fitted with a 6.26-inch screen. Probably, the notched screen will carry support for Full HD+ resolution. The leak reveals that it is equipped with four cameras.

The backside of the phone has dual pixel autofocus enabled 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera system. The main sensor will have a large pixel size of 1.4micron. It appears that the Redmi Note 6 Pro may feature the very same dual camera system that is available on the Redmi Note 5 Pro. The notch of the phone includes 20-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual selfie snapper. The handset features a 4,000mAh battery.

According to Quandt, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro is coming in 32 GB storage + 3 GB RAM and 64 GB storage + 4 GB RAM models. Like the Redmi Note 5 Pro, the Note 6 Pro may also come in a higher variant featuring 64 GB of storage and 6 GB of RAM. The smartphone is expected to arrive in Gold, Blue and Black colors. The tipster has also claimed that the company may make it available in more colors. In Europe, the handset could be priced between 200 euros (~$232) and 250 euros (~$290).

Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro could be powered by Snapdragon 710 SoC

Samsung has scheduled a launch event in Malaysia on 11th October to launch a new Galaxy series smartphone where the company is promising “4x fun”. While the invite does not reveal which smartphone the South Korean giant is planning to launch at the event, rumors suggest that the phone in question is the Galaxy A9 Pro.

Now, the latest report related to the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro reveals that the phone could be the first device from Samsung to be powered by Qualcomm’s recently launched Snapdragon 710 octa-core processor which is manufactured with 10nm process.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset includes two cores of Kryo 360 Cortex A75 that clocks at 2.2 GHz and six cores of Kryo 360 Cortex A55 that offers a processing speed of 1.7 GHz. The octa-core processor is coupled with Adreno 616 graphics that promises 35 percent better rendering of graphics.

Compared to Snapdragon 660, the SD710 offers 25 percent faster performance. Also, it has been designed to consume less power while enjoying videos and games. The app launch times have been improved by 15 percent compared to its predecessor model.

There’s no information available related to the phone’s design but we are expecting the usual front design, thanks to the company’s Infinity Display. If the phone does not feature an in-display fingerprint sensor, it’ll have a fingerprint sensor on the back.

Earlier, there were reports suggesting that the phone getting launched on 11th October could feature four cameras on the back side. However, there’s no substantial proof available at this time to back such a claim.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Silver color variant to be available in over 30 countries

Recently, we reported that Samsung is soon going to launch a new Silver color option for the Galaxy Note 9 in the United States, joining the Lavender Purple and Ocean Blue color option. As it turns out, along with the US, the Silver color option for the Galaxy Note 9 will be available in over 30 countries.

A new report reveals that the phone will be available in Austria, Baltic, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Kenya, Korea, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Nigeria, Nordic Countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden), Peru, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, and the United States.

Overall, Silver will be the fifth color option for the Galaxy Note 9 after Metallic Copper, Lavender Purple, Ocean Blue, and Midnight Black. Currently, the exact launch date or the storage configuration for this new variant is not yet known. However, we are expecting that the pricing will remain unchanged.

The recently leaked render of the Silver colored Galaxy Note 9 showcased that not only the phone has Silver hue, but the S-Pen also comes in the Silver color, unlike the neon yellow colored S-Pen with all other color variants.

OnePlus to foray into the TV market with the OnePlus TV next year

OnePlus, the China-based smartphone manufacturer, which is mostly known for its “flagship killer” phones, is now planning to foray into the TV market. The company has announced that it’s expanding its products lineup by introducing the OnePlus TV.

The company has announced that it’ll be launching OnePlus TV, but the Chinese company has not revealed any specific timeline for this. Pete Lau, Founder & CEO of OnePlus has said that the company’s first TV will make its way to the market in 2019. It’ll receive software updates over the five years following its launch, to make it smarter and more connected.

Pete Lau calls it the first step in “building a connected human experience.” He further says that the TV will feature the same premium design that its phones are known for, and the company is more focused on image quality and audio experience.

Making this announcement, Pete Lau said:

At present, we feel the current market of TVs is still feeling quite traditional in their functionality and experience. And they haven’t really well-integrated the internet into the experience, and making the experience match with what would be expected in today’s connected society.

This is a huge step in the OnePlus journey, but like each step along the way, one that we have taken with intense consideration and deliberation. There is great challenge in pushing new boundaries in technology and innovation, but even greater fulfillment in meeting people around the world impacted by our products every day. Here’s to taking the next step together.

The OnePlus TV will also come with an artificial intelligence assistant but the company has not revealed if the AI-based assistant will be developed in-house or it’ll offer third-party assistants such as Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa. Further, the TV will also have a way to seamlessly connect with the smartphone, enabling it to show reminders and traffic information among others. There will be a built-in camera. In addition, Pete Lau says that the company will also have a solution for the concerns related to the home-privacy.

However, do keep in mind that the company has just started the process of making and selling the OnePlus TV and it’s still in the early stage of development. It’s a long way ahead before come across more details related to the TV and its launch.

Meanwhile, OnePlus is gearing up to launch its next flagship smartphone, OnePlus 6T, which is expected to launch next month. The phone has been confirmed to feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. The company has also decided to not include a headphone jack, as confirmed by company’s co-founder Carl Pei.
