Huawei announced that it has started pushing the HarmonyOS 4.0.0.111 update to its Mate X3 foldable phone. The update includes a new fun mood theme, which uses a variety of expressive emoji to represent different moods. Earlier this month, Huawei debuted the P60 Pro and the Mate X3 Folding smartphone in Europe. A couple of weeks after their launch, the devices finally hit the region’s store shelves.

iQOO Z7 Series

iQOO has confirmed to launch the iQOO Z7 series in China on March 20 at 12 PM GMT+8. The very next day (March 21), the lineup is also planned to release in India at 12 PM IST.

The iQOO Z7 family for China includes two phones, namely iQOO Z7 and iQOO Z7x. Whereas for India, there’s only a single handset called iQOO Z7, and t it is different from the Chinese variant.

The Chinese iQOO Z7 series is said to offer centered punch-hole LCD displays, Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G/695 chipsets, and up to 120W charging. On the other hand, the Indian iQOO Z7 is expected to come with a dewdrop AMOLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity 920 SoC, and 80W charging.

Oppo Find X6 Series

The Oppo Find X6 series is set to launch on March 21 in China. It will be announced at an event that will begin at 2 PM GMT+8. The smartphones will be also accompanied by Oppo Pad 2.

The Find X6 series is said to include two models. The vanilla version will house a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC, while the Pro variant will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.

Huawei is all set to host its new launch event as Huawei Spring Flagship New Product Launch Conference, on 23rd March in its home country China to unveil a few new products in the market.

Now, ahead of the official launch in a few days, the company has revealed that it has started taking pre-orders for two premium flagship smartphones from the brand — Huawei P60 series and Huawei Mate X3.

The devices can be pre-ordered through an online marketplace in China, JD.com. The list of the devices does not reveal information about the smartphones, not even the memory configuration or the color options.

The Huawei P60 series is expected to have three models in the lineup — P60, P60 Pro, and P60 Artist Design Edition. The top-end model in the series, dubbed Huawei P60 Pro, is expected to feature a 6.6-inch 2K OLED display panel manufactured by BOE.

Under the hood, the device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, coupled with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 internal storage. There will be an upgraded XMAGE 2.0 triple-camera setup on the back consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX888 primary sensor, and a 50MP Sony IMX858 sensor.

On the front side, the device will feature a 64MP OV64B Omnivision sensor with 3.5x optical zoom. The phones are expected to run the HongMeng OS in the Chinese market and an open-source version of Android outside of China.

The advertisement was screenshotted by the Weibo user, even if there is a westerly wind, and the advert states that Huawei is holding its annual spring launch event to unveil the brand’s latest products to the country, and the highlight is its flagship Huawei P60 series.

Earlier this year, Huawei teased that the Huawei P60 series and Huawei Mate X3 foldable will be launched together in March 2023, so it is safe to say that the Huawei Mate X3 will be launched at the March 23 launch event as well.

Besides, the screenshot of the online advert, the prominent Chinese leakster, the factory manager is classmate Guan, also posted on Weibo saying that Huawei will be holding a launch event on March 23 to reveal its latest devices for 2023.

The leakster also quotes his previous post saying that Huawei will launch not only smartphones at the event, but also smart tech ecosystem devices as well such as the Huawei FreeBuds 5 wireless earphones, the Huawei Watch 4 smartwatch, and the Huawei Band 7 smart fitness band.

From our previous reporting, it was reported that the upcoming Huawei P60 Pro will arrive with a 6.6-inch OLED display that will produce a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1440p resolution. Packing a 5,000mAh battery, the smartphone will support 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC but it will be capped to 4G only, with no 5G connectivity due to restrictions imposed on Huawei.

Huawei is reportedly working on its next foldable phone, the Huawei Mate X3, for the Chinese market. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station shared what appears to be the key specifications of the device.

According to the tipster, the Huawei Mate X3 will be a foldable phone with an inward-folding design. The outer screen will have a single punch-hole placed at the top-centre position.

Huawei has been long rumored to be working on the successor of Mate X2. The new Huawei Mate X3 was expected to debut in December 2022, but that clearly didn’t happen. While we wait for an official announcement, a Chinese tipster has revealed the foldable will launch soon with satellite connectivity onboard.

The exact launch date wasn’t revealed, but it has been claimed that the Mate X3 will arrive before the Huawei P60 Series. Leaks suggest the P60 Series will be unveiled sometime in March, so we can expect the folding device to debut in February. It seems likely because the Mate X2 was also unveiled around the same time last year.

As mentioned, the smartphone is said to support satellite connectivity, like the Mate 50 series. It will allow users to send and receive short messages using Beidou’s direct satellite network. However, unlike the Mate 50 smartphones, the device will also support voice messages.

The satellite connectivity feature is drawing a lot of manufacturers’ attention. It has been reported that Samsung will also be joining the bandwagon with the upcoming Galaxy S23 Ultra. Huawei was one of the first brands to launch a foldable smartphone in the market. The company has been rumored to be working on a next gen premium Mate X3 foldable phone, and now, its possible launch timeline has been revealed.

The news arrives from tipster Wangzai Knows Everything (Via NotebookCheck) who shared that the information on Weibo (a Chinese microblogging website). The company’s Mate X3 is set to launch soon and will feature a design similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4. This means that the Chinese tech giant’s foldable phone will also have two displays, with one external and the primary display being a large inward folding panel housed on a vertical hinge.

According to the tipster, despite having a same design, the Huawei foldable phone will cost significantly less than its South Korean counterpart. From what we know so far, the Mate X3 is believed to feature a 4G only Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Although finer details regarding this device is still at large. Based on a previous report, Huawei was expected to launch the Mate X3 sometime in December 2022. However, the latest leak hints at a later launch.

According to the tipster, Huawei is planning to launch two devices in December 2022. These include the Huawei Mate X3 foldable phone and the Freebuds 5 semi-in-ear headphones.

The tipster claimed that the Huawei Mate X3 would carry a lower price tag. At the same time, it will be a lightweight and thinner device. It will offer better durability as well as drop resistance. The foldable phone will be equipped with a new hinge, and the screen crease will not be visible.

Fresh information reveals that the foldable phone may arrive in multiple CPU variants.

As per the latest report, Huawei is expected to launch its next-generation Huawei Mate X3 foldable smartphone in China by the end of this month. However, the company is yet to officially confirm the launch date.

The Huawei Mate X3 was recently spotted on TENAA, revealing some of the key details related to the smartphone. It features a 6.5-inch OLED cover display with a 90Hz refresh rate and an 8-inch OLED foldable screen with a 90Hz refresh rate support.

Huawei was actually the first Chinese company to launch a foldable phone in the form of the Mate X, and it now looks like it’s going to refresh the device with a newer iteration this year.

A few companies like Jingyan Technology are reportedly gaining component orders for an upcoming foldable phone from Huawei, which a tipster today has revealed is most likely none other than the Huawei Mate X3. The device will most likely be launched later this year.

The Huawei Mate X2 was launched early last year with an 8-inch 90Hz OLED foldable inner screen and a 6.45-inch 90Hz OLED outer screen. Huawei already launched a few foldable smartphones in the market, including the Mate X, Mate Xs, and the Mate X2. Now, the China-based technology giant is gearing up to launch a new foldable smartphone in the market.

Now, the Chinese company is expected to launch its successor and a new report coming from Digital Chat Station claims that Huawei is expected to follow its usual timeframe of launching a new Mate X-series foldable smartphone in the month of February.

Thus, the next-generation foldable device from the company will be launched in the month of February next year, most probably along with the flagship Mate 50 series phones which have already been delayed.

Further, the report adds that the company is currently testing the under-display fingerprint sensor and the OLED screen for the next generation of foldable smartphones. The phone is expected to come with a POL-LESS OLED technology which is developed by Samsung Display, which could increase the brightness by 20 percent to 30 percent.

If the rumors are to be believed, then Huawei is working on another foldable smartphone that will come with a clamshell design, similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3. The phone, which could be named Huawei Mate V, is said to come powered by the company’s own HiSilicon Kirin 9000 chipset and will be a 4G model.

The Huawei Mate V (name not yet confirmed) with a clamshell-like foldable design is expected to get launched by the end of this year. The device, when launched, will compete against the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip series.

Apart from Huawei, there are a few other China-based manufacturers working on their own foldable smartphones that were rumored to go official this year, including brands like OPPO and Vivo. Xiaomi, which has already launched its first foldable smartphone, is expected to launch a new model.
