Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 is scheduled for launch on October 25 at 14:00 hours in Beijing’s Palace Museum located in the Forbidden City. Today, it’s first night camera sample has been revealed, which looks super crisp and saturated even in a low light environment. It brings back the focus on Mi Mix 3’s ability to capture images in the night with its dual rear cameras. There’s also a front-facing 24-megapixel sensor dual cameras supporting slo-mo video recording at 960 frames per second.

Looking at the camera sample above, it can be seen that the camera quality has been improved drastically in the Mi Mix 3. The sample is giving us a hint that Mi Mix 3 camera will break all the records of Xiaomi devices. Further, full details are visible in the picture without any kind of noise. Xiaomi’s new flagship could feature noise surpressing algorithms like most high end devices of 2018.

The significant change in Xiaomi devices camera quality is a result of the formation of a dedicated camera unit in Xiaomi. It focuses on camera development across all the Xiaomi devices. It has led Xiaomi to achieve 98-100 points in DxOmark ratings.

Additionally, it will carry a sliding design with a full view display of 6.39-inches giving the resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. It carries 100% screen-to-body ratio with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. There will be an on-screen fingerprint sensor under AMOLED display with multiple RAM variants. It will be the world’s first commercial 5G (company is marketing it as 5G speeds) smartphone and is also the first 10 GB RAM device (not really after Black Shark Helo launch).

It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 with Adreno 630 GPU. There will be a dedicated Xiao AI button on Mi Mix 3 as like of Samsung’s Bixby button on Galaxy S phones. It is expected to be priced at 3799 Yuan (~$547) in China.

Today, Xiaomi co-founder Lin Bin shared camera samples taken from Mi Mix 3 on Weibo, showing its night photography advantages.

We can see the dedicated watermark of “Shot on Mi Mix 3 AI Dual Camera” on both the images. It seems Lin Bin have full confidence in its camera module as he is challenging to compare it with other devices.

In another video teaser, its full-screen slider can be seen working. As per the video, we can speculate that the slider will help users to open the camera, perform transactions and do several other functions. Xiaomi is advertising its slider under the tagline of “Push, simple action, beyond your imagination.”

Currently, Xiaomi Mi 8 is an Android device among few others to get 99 points for its camera from DxOmark. While Mi Mix 3 predecessor, Mi Mix 2S has scored 97 points in overall camera quality. So, we can expect a more excellent camera in the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3.

Xiaomi officially confirmed the news via official Weibo handle by touting it as “world’s first 5G commercial mobile phone.” These are the exciting features that come along with the sliding camera tech and full-screen display. We expect more teasers from Xiaomi in the upcoming eight days before the Mi Mix 3 launch.

Yesterday, Xiaomi teased the 5G support with a whopping 10 GB RAM in a different way, but it was not confirmed what Xiaomi was trying to say. It seems Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 launch date is nearing as the company president, Lin Bin has announced about it on Weibo. He says that it is incomparable with a whole new concept and will release in October. He added a photo of the sliding phone with a dual camera and 100% display, which is reported to be the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3.  Further, Xiaomi CEO, Lei Jun also responded to speed up the mass production and conveyed a message to production teams to get ready for huge sales by October.

Now, as the October is midway, the Mi Mix 3 official handle on Weibo posted a smiley face, which speculated that the Xioami Mi Mix 3 is coming soon. Xiaomi’s whole fleet on Weibo responded and collaboratively said that the Xiaomi is readying for a major announcement.

Even third-party sources like @TechNavvi on twitter posted some pictures of the alleged Mix 3 tempered glass. Similarly, it has appeared on various certification agencies giving us hint that it is coming our way.

Recently, a countdown page for the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 appeared on the m.sogou.com website. There we found it featured to carry Snapdragon 855 SoC with 6.4 inches of display and a dual camera sensor on the rear side.

Additionally, as per old rumours, Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 is expected to carry a Qualcomm processor with 6/8 GB of RAM variants. It will feature a sliding design with 100% body-to-screen ratio. There will be a 16MP + 13MP dual camera on the rear while 20MP sensor will be present on the front side.

Unlike the Xiaomi Mix 2s, which didn’t change much in design than its predecessor, Mi Mix 3 is going to get a full makeover with a sliding design. The new look can be seen via various rumors and leaks in the past few months. Today, as per the new screenshot it is revealed that both the LEX and Mi Mix 3 phones could have a dedicated Xiao AI (company’s own AI assistant) button on the left side. Although no official announcement has been made, it is based on the leaked images via Weibo. We haven’t heard about the LEX model yet, but doesn’t it sound similar to a phone that we know already (NEX?).

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 and LEX both will feature the Xiao AI button which can be used to wake up the device on a single press. There are some more functions that the dedicated button will be able to perform. Users can ask any question from AI assistant by pressing and holding the button until the command ends. Xiaomi has also added a feature to add a customized function on the double press of the dedicated button.

If the new leaked screenshot is to be believed, the Mi Mix 3 will be a more refined phone with an enriched AI experience.

Additionally, there are some rumors that the new device will carry support for  5G network. Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 will carry true full-screen display with a camera and other sensors mounted on the slider. It could come in different memory combinations of 6GB RAM + 64GB internal storage, 6gB RAM + 128GB memory and 8GB RAM + 256 GB of storage.
