After confirming the Android 9.0 Pie update for almost every compatible Moto device, the company is preparing to rollout Moto G6 and G6 Play update very soon. After a long wait, Motorola will push the Android Pie update to the respective devices in the upcoming week.

Although, Motorola Brazil has already started rolling out the update to Moto G6 users in Brazil. The wide rollout will take place soon within a couple of weeks. Currently, the update is going through final tests before it starts hitting the devices. As per the official changelog, it will carry various changes and feature additions on the device.

Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play will get all the features of Android 9 Pie such as refined permissions, new gestures, adaptive brightness, improved notifications, native notch support, app actions, and adaptive battery. Moreover, it will feature January Security patch with new security measures. It has even fixed the Google Pay functionality which got compromised in the past.

Well, the good news is that Motorola is in final development stages for Android 9.0 Pie update on Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus. It will take a few weeks more before it starts rolling out to all the devices.

Additionally, Motorola plans to roll out Android 9.0 Pie update almost on every Motorola device before Q2 2019. So, compatible Motorola devices will start getting it before Google announce the Android Q in Q2 2019. The Lenovo owned company has already updated various devices to the latest Android version.

Lenovo’s Motorola isn’t going to launch the Moto G7 until next year but the model is gradually cropping up in leaks quite often. Just recently, a concept render of the device was shared online. Right now, the logo of the next-gen models has been spotted online. The logos are for the Moto G6 and G7 Plus. That of the G7 Play is conspicuously missing. If the latest rumour is any thing to go by, the Moto G7 Play may likely not get launched next year.

The Moto G6 Play this year only had a bigger battery over its predecessor which is sort of a disappointment. Perhaps, Motorola is trying to trim down the G series products lineup but we can’t say for sure. This could as well be a rumour.

It is too early to start guessing the specs the Moto G7 and G7 Plus will eventually pack. However, it is safe to assume they will have midrange Snapdragon chipsets, elongated 18:9 displays, and, hopefully, will eschew the notch again.

Lenovo-owned Motorola has only launched Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play smartphones in India. Through its official Motorola India Twitter handle, the company has now confirmed that the Moto G6 Plus smartphone which is the third member of the Moto G6 family will be debuting in India on Sept. 10.

Through a launch event in April, Motorola Brazil had already introduced Moto G6, Moto G6 Play and Moto G6 Plus handsets. After announcing the G6 and G6 Play in June in India, the company is all set to debut the G6 Plus in the coming week. The arrival of the smartphone was first teased in the previous month and today comes the official confirmation on its launch date.

The Moto G6 Plus features a 5.93-inch IPS LCD Max Vision display that supports 18:9 aspect ratio and Full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. The Snapdragon 630 chipset is present under the hood of the phone. The phone was launched in Brazil in 4 GB and 6 GB RAM options. Both variants feature 64 GB of internal storage and there is a microSD card slot for additional storage. It is preinstalled with Android 8.1 Oreo OS. It draws power from 3,200mAh battery which carries support for Turbo charging.

The back panel of the Moto G6 Plus is equipped with a dual camera setup. It has a f/1.7 aperture 12-megapixel primary sensor enabled with Dual Autofocus Pixel technology which is coupled with 5-megapixel secondary sensor. The “M” logo on the rear shell is embedded with a fingerprint sensor..

The other features of the Moto G6 Plus are 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS, NFC, USB-C and 3.5mm audio jack. The handset measures 160 x 75.5 x 8 and it weighs 167 grams. It comes with P2i water-repellant nano coating that protects it from water splashes. Its color variants are Deep Indigo and Nimbus.

There is no information available on the pricing of the Moto G6 Plus for India. The 3 GB and 4 GB RAM variants of the Moto G6 are respectively priced at Rs. 13,999 (~$196) and Rs. 15,999 (~$224) whereas the Moto G6 Play is priced at Rs. 11,999 (~$168). Probably, the G6 Plus may hit India with a starting price of Rs. 16,999 (~$238).

Following the official release of Android 9.0 Pie, manufacturers have been announcing devices that are eligible for the latest version of Android. Today, Motorola released a list of its phones that will get the update.

Motorola says the update will begin rolling out this fall but don’t be surprised if some phones don’t get it until next year. The eligible devices are listed below:

2. Moto Z3 Play
3. Moto Z2 Force
4. Moto Z2 Play
5. Moto X4
6. Moto G6 Plus
7. Moto G6
8. Moto G6 Play

Apart from the Moto Z2 Force, Moto Z2, and Moto X4, no other Motorola phone released in 2017 will get updated to Android 9.0 Pie which is sad. However, we are not surprised.

Motorola has a bad track record when it comes to software support. The V was only updated to Android 8.1 Oreo back in June and the Android 8.1 Oreo soak test for the Moto G5 Plus began at the end of July. The Moto E5 series isn’t getting the update too. We are also not surprised as we already knew this right from when they were announced.

Android 9.0 Pie brings a new navigation system, adaptive brightness, adaptive battery and a number of UI changes.

Lenovo-owned Motorola has now officially released the kernel source code for the Moto G6 and Moto G6 smartphones. The kernel source code for the third model of the Moto G6-series, Moto G6 Play was released in April earlier this year.

With this, developers will now be able to use the source code and create some custom kernels as well as custom ROMs that the customer can flash onto their Moto G6 or Moto G6 Plus smartphones. The Android 8.0 Oreo kernel source code for both the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus can be found on GitHub.

The Moto G6 comes with a 5.7-inch display with Full HD+ display along with Gorilla Glass 3 on both sides. Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm‘s Snapdragon 450 processor, 3GB/4GB of RAM, and 32GB/64GB of expandable storage.

There is a fingerprint scanner below the display that can be used to control the device using gestures. There’s a 12MP f/1.8 primary camera sensor and a 5MP secondary camera for capturing the depth of field information. On the front side, there’s an 8MP snapper with its own LED flash.

It runs Android 8.0 Oreo operating system out of the box and is powered by a 3,000mAh battery with support for TurboPower fast charging.

On the other hand, the Moto G6 Plus features a 5.9-inch MAX Vision Full HD+ display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood, it is powered by Snapdragon 630 processor and comes in 4GB/6GB RAM variants with 64GB/128GB of storage.

There’s also a microSD card slot, which enables users to further expand the phone’s storage up to 128GB. This one too comes with dual camera setup at back, boasting a 12MP f/1.7 rear camera and a 5MP secondary camera.

After launching the Moto G6 series smartphones in April this year, the Lenovo-owned company has today launched two smartphones of the series in the Indian market — Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play. While the Moto G6 will be exclusively available through Amazon India, the Moto G6 Play will be exclusively available via Flipkart. Further, both these smartphones will also be available through Moto Hub Stores across the country.

The Moto G6 features a 5.7-inch Full HD+ display with screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. It comes in two variants based on the memory configuration — 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage.

It comes with a dual rear camera setup, consisting of a 12-megapixel primary camera with 76-degree lens and f/1.8 aperture, and 5-megapixel secondary camera with 79-degree lens and f/2.2 aperture. There’s also dual-tone, dual-lens flash on the back. On the front side, the phone comes equipped with a 16-megapixel front snapper, which is accompanied by a selfie flash.

In India, the pricing for Moto G6 starts at Rs. 13,999 (approximately $209) for 3GB RAM model and Rs. 15,999 (~ $239) for 4GB RAM model. It will be available in Indigo and Silver color options. On the other hand, the Motorola Moto G6 Play will be available at a price of Rs. 11,999 (approximately $179) in two color options — Indigo and Gold. Lenovo launched the Moto G6 in China a few days ago as the Moto Green Pomelo 1s (with some few changes). The Green Pomelo line is a China-exclusive series that started with the Moto Green Pomelo a.k.a Moto G5S last year. We’ve got our hands on unboxing photos that show how the Green Pomelo 1s is different from the Moto G6.

The phone comes in a green box that highlights the Green Pomelo line. The Moto Green Pomelo 1s has the same glass back design of the Moto G6. Both phones may look similar on the outside but there are a number of differences.

For example, the Pomelo 1s has the Pomelo fruit logo on the back in addition to the Motorola logo. The specs on the official site also reveal that the Green Pomelo 1s taller at 154.5mm as against the Moto G6’s 153.8mm. It is also heavier at 168g compared to the G6 which is 167g, though you won’t notice since its just 1g.

On the inside is where both phones differ greatly. The specs are nearly the same save for the front camera. The Moto G6 has an 8MP sensor for selfies while the Green Pomelo 1s doubles it to 16MP.

They also have different user interfaces. Motorola phones sold in China have ZUI installed, but outside China, they run a near-stock version of Android. For the 1s, it runs ZUI 3.5 based on Android 8.0 Oreo. So, if you are a fan of Motorola’s Moto Actions, you won’t be getting that on the 1s.

The Moto Green Pomelo 1s is priced at ¥1499 (~$235) and packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The Moto G6 is currently not yet available globally for purchase but it has a $249 price tag which seems to be for the 3GB RAM + 32GB model.

After just a week from the official announcement, the new Motorola Moto G6 is already available for pre-order on Amazon Spain. The new affordable device can be ordered on Amazon Spain, and this means that it can be purchased from several other European countries as the e-commerce can also ship outside of Spain. Motorola has launched the new Moto G6 family at an event in Brazil. The sixth generation Moto G series includes the Moto G6, the Moto G6 Play, and the Moto G6 Plus.

The Moto G6 series all have a revamped design. Motorola has ditched metal in favor of 3D glass for the rear. It also now sports a new display called MAX Vision with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a redesigned/repositioned fingerprint scanner.

Moto G6 – the Moto G6 has a 5.7” display with a FHD+ display. The back of the Moto G6 is covered in Gorilla Glass 3 on both sides. Under the glass is a Snapdragon 450 processor, 3GB/4GB of RAM, and 32GB/64GB of expandable storage.

There is a 13MP F/2.0 camera and a 5MP camera secondary camera on the rear. It also has an 8MP front camera with LED flash too. Its fingerprint reader is on the back and it packs a larger 4,000mAh battery.

Moto G6 Plus – The Moto G6 Plus has a larger 5.9” MAX Vision FHD+ display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The glass on the back is Gorilla Glass too. It has a more powerful Snapdragon 630 processor and comes in 4GB/6GB RAM variants with 64GB/128GB of storage. There is also support for up to an additional 128GB via a MicroSD card slot.

It has a 12MP f/1.7 rear camera and a 5MP secondary camera for depth of field. It can also record in 4K and has dual Pixel autofocus.  Selfie camera is 8MP too with a LED flash. A smaller 3,200mAh battery powers it and its fingerprint scanner is below the display. It also has a USB-C port and Bluetooth 5.0.

Price and Availability

The G6 series is already available in Brazil starting today and will be available in Mexico next week. Only the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play will be sold in North America and they will be available in the first week of May.

The Moto G6 Plus is priced at €300, the G6 will sell for €250/$249, and the G6 Play will sell for €200/$199. All these are the prices for the base model.

Lenovo-owned Motorola has scheduled a launch event in Sao Paulo, Brazil on 19th April, where the company is expected to launch its next-generation Moto G-series smartphones which include Moto G6, G6 Plus, and G6 Play.

Now, ahead of the official launch, the company posted a teaser video on Twitter, which revealed some key features of the upcoming smartphone. The teaser video, which features either Moto G6 or Moto G6 Plus, confirms earlier reports that the phone will come with a dual camera setup at the back with dual-tone LED flash.

It also reveals that there’ll be a front-facing fingerprint sensor below the display. As the fingerprint sensor is placed on the front side, the phone won’t be coming with an edge-to-edge display. However, we are expecting thin bezels surrounding the display. Furthermore, the video also displays Motorola branding on the handset.

The video also shows a volume rocker placed next to a textured power button, which looks similar to the Alert Slider seen on OnePlus smartphones. However, the teaser does not hint at any of the specifications of the smartphone.

Previous leaks surrounding the Moto G6-series have revealed hardware details. The Moto G6 is expected to come with a 5.7-inch full-HD+ display with 1080 x 2160 pixels screen resolution and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of onboard storage.

The Moto G6 Plus, on the other side, is reported to have a 5.93-inch full-HD+ IPS display with 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution. It is expected to come equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage.

As of the camera department, both smartphones are rumored to feature a dual camera setup consisting of a 16-megapixel primary camera sensor and an unknown secondary sensor. On the front side, there’ll be 5-megapixel camera sensor for taking selfies and video calling.

After several leaks and certifications, Motorola Moto G6, G6 Plus, and G6 Play have just shown up in detailed renders published by a 15-year-old leakster on Twitter. Besides confirming the design surfaced in the previous leaks, these renders reveal several color variants of the trio. According to the images, Motorola Moto G6 will be released in at least three color variants: Silver, Rose, Blue, and Black. The G6 Plus will be released in Blue and Gold hues, and the cheaper G6 Play will be available in Gold and Blue as well.

Even though the prices will be different depending on the model, Motorola Moto G6, G6 Plus and G6 Play will have very similar designs. But note that the Play version will be the only one which will not feature a front-mounted fingerprint reader. According to leaks, Moto G6 will come with a 5.7-inch display boasting a Full HD+ resolution and the Gorilla Glass protection.

On the hardware side, the handset will feature an octa-core Snapdragon 450 chipset, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. There will also be a dual camera setup with 12 and 5 MP resolution, and a 3000 mAh battery. Lenovo-owned Motorola has scheduled a launch event on 19th April where the company is expected to launch its next-generation Moto G-series smartphone — the Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus and Moto G6 Play.

Now, ahead of the phone’s official launch, the Moto G6 Play surfaced online in a short hands-on video. The video, which shows a working unit of the phone, reveals the phone’s design which is in line with the previously leaked renders.

However, the video has been removed by the uploader. In the video, the phone was recognized as the Moto G6 Plus but given the lack of dual camera setup at the back side, the unit seemed to be the Moto G6 Play. According to the previous reports, Moto G6 and G6 Plus will pack dual camera setup while the budget-friendly G6 Play will have a single camera sensor at the back.

The specifications of Moto G6 Play were leaked earlier and suggests that the phone will come with a 5.7-inch HD+ Max Vision display with, 18:9 aspect ratio and 1440 x 720 pixels screen resolution. Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core processor from Qualcomm, clocked at 1.4GHz, likely to be Snapdragon 430. It will pack 2GB or 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

The smartphone is said to come with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash and a beauty mode, while it will feature a 13-megapixel camera sensor on the rear. Sadly, there is no mention of all the cool features of the Moto G6, such as live filters, object and landmark recognition, portrait mode, and active photos.

Along with Dolby Audio and Moto Experiences support, the device will also come with a new voice assistant that lets the user use phone hands-free. One of the highlights of the G6 Play will be its battery capacity as the company is expected to offer 4,000mAh battery which is claimed by Motorola to last 36 hours on a single charge.

Commenting on the display panel of the Moto G6 Plus, Quandt has claimed that it will be featuring an IPS LCD screen of 5.93 inches that will produce Full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. Below the 18:9 aspect ratio display, the front glass assembly has a cutout for the fingerprint scanner that will be embedded in the thin-shaped home button. At the top, the display panel has cutouts for earpiece, selfie camera and its LED flash unit. The camouflaged cutout present at the top is likely to proximity and ambient sensors.

Through a recent press release that was outed at the end of March, Lenovo had confirmed that Sergio Buniac is the new Lenovo Mobile Business Group co-president and Motorola chairman and president. The same press release also confirmed that the company would be announcing its first phones for 2018 in April. At that time, it was speculated that the company may announce the Moto G6 series and Moto E5 series.

The rumor mill has already revealed the entire specs and features of the Moto G6 series and Moto E5 series. Rumors have it Lenovo-owned Motorola may launch the Moto G6 series in this month. Alza.hu, a retailer site from Hungary had recently listed the Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus and Moto G6 Play smartphones. The listings of these phones do not contain any information on their pricing. However, the Hungarian retailer has revealed the entire specifications of the upcoming G6 series.

Moto G6 Play

The Moto G6 Play is the lowest configuration phone in the Moto G6 series. It features a 5.7-inch IPS LCD display supports HD+ resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels as it offers an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is fueled by Snapdragon 430 mobile platform. Its 16 GB and 32 GB storage models include 2 GB and 3 GB of RAM. It also features a microSD card slot. As the above image shows, it does not feature a front-mounted fingerprint scanner. It seems to be embedded under the company’s logo on the rear side of the phone.

Its 32 GB model has 4 GB of RAM whereas the 64 GB model has 6 GB of RAM. For additional storage, it houses a microSD card slot.

It is packed with the same LED enabled 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera setup and 16-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash that are found on the Moto G6 phone. Lenovo owned Motorola should announce the new Moto series in Q2 2018. There have been lots of leaks in the last 2 months and we already have an idea of what to expect. However, American online store, Frys, already has the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play listed with lots of new information about both devices.

Moto G6

For the 6th-gen Moto G, Lenovo is switching to the trending 18:9 display and it has dubbed it Max Vision. The one on the G6 is 5.7” with a Full HD+ display with Gorilla Glass protection.

The back of the G6 has also gotten a redesign. Gone is the metal back and in its place is 3D glass. But not all has changed in the new Moto G6. For instance, it still comes with the series’ signature water-repellent coating.

The Moto G6 packs dual rear cameras but Frys doesn’t mention the pixel count for the sensors. It does say the front camera is an 8MP sensor with its own flash and also goes into detail about the new features of the camera software.

Selective focus and selective black and white are some of the old features that make a comeback but the new features are cool too. You can now add face filters in real time or pick a single color to pop while the others are black and white after taking a picture.

The camera also supports landmark recognition, object recognition, text scanning, and active photos which is just like live photos on iPhones. It also has support for Face Unlock.

The Moto G6 still has its fingerprint scanner in front and it does more than just unlock your phone. You can set it to unlock apps and also access websites with passwords on your laptop using a feature called Moto Key.

Motorola also says the fingerprint scanner can be used for navigation. Swiping to the left takes you back, a right swipe takes you to recent apps, a tap takes you home, and a long press locks the phone.

We all know Motorola phones run near stock Android with the addition of some pretty useful features. The famous Moto Actions are still there which lets you twist your wrist twice to unlock the camera or chop twice to turn on the flashlight.

But there is also Moto Display which lets you see new notifications or reply to messages without unlocking the phone. The Moto G6 will also never turn off the display as long as it senses that you are still looking at it. There is also a built-in blue light filter.

Frys doesn’t mention some key specs like the processor type and RAM but says it is a 1.8GHz octa core chip with 32GB of storage. This variant likely has 3GB of RAM.

The Moto G6 has a 3000mAh battery with support for TurboPower fast charging. It also has a FM radio, Dolby Audio, and a MicroSD card slot.

Frys says the Moto G6 is $249.99 and is expected to ship May 10. This means a launch should be scheduled for April.

Moto G6 Play

Lenovo is releasing a Play variant of the Moto G6 this year. It has a 5.7” 18:9 Max Vision display like the G6 but with a 1440 x 720 (HD+) resolution.

It has a 5MP front camera with LED flash and a beauty mode, while a 13MP sensor sits on the rear. Sadly, there is no mention of all the cool features of the Moto G6 like live filters, object and landmark recognition, portrait mode, and active photos.

The Moto G6 Play’s selling point is its 4,000mAh battery which Motorola boasts should last 36 hours on a single charge. The phone also has a fingerprint scanner, a microSD card slot, Dolby Audio, and supports Moto Experiences (Moto Display and Moto Actions). There is also a new voice assistant that lets you use your phone hands-free.

The images show the Moto G6 lacks a rear fingerprint scanner but will instead pack a front fingerprint sensor. While the Moto G6 Play will come with a rear fingerprint sensor with the company’s logo also placed on the fingerprint scanner. Other than that, we seem to be looking at two devices with similar designs. Both devices utilize on-screen buttons, while the design of their rear-facing camera setups looks similar. But while the Moto G6 will hip with two rear-facing cameras, the G6 Play houses a single rear camera sensor.

As for the specifications, the Moto G6 is expected to feature a 5.7-inch FullHD+ display with 2160 x 1080p resolution and a dimension of 154.5×72.2×8.3mm. There will be an Octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz at the helm of affairs and that is believed to be a Snapdragon 450 chipset going by previous leaks. The processor will be paired with a 4GB RAM while a 3000mAh battery will keep the lights on. The device will also pack dual rear cameras comprising a 12MP main sensor + 5MP secondary sensor. There is no word yet on when the G6 line up will be officially unveiled.

Aymar de Lencquesaing who served as the president of the Lenovo-owned Motorola has left the firm. It has been officially announced that Sergio Buniac will be taking over as the new Chairman and President. The company also confirmed that its first phones will be unveiled next month.

Buniac has been working with Motorola for 22 years and he was recently appointed as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Latin America wing. The recent years have been quite challenging for the company. In 2012, Google had acquired Motorola’s consumer phone business and two years later it was taken over by Lenovo.

Earlier in this month, Motorola had reportedly laid off a large number of employees from its Chicago. Motorola had reportedly invested $200 million in the advertising of the Moto Z2 Force. However, a report from November last year had claimed that a dismal number of 145,000 units of the Z2 Force were sold by the top four carriers in the U.S. The Motorola handsets have received lukewarm response in China. Hence, the company has reportedly resurrected the Lenovo smartphone brand by introducing the newly announced Lenovo S5 smartphone.

Motorola‘s Moto G6 real life pictures have made a surprise appearance on TENAA. The live pictures were put on display by the Chinese Telecoms certification agency but the specifications were not disclosed. The Moto G6 recently got network certified in Thailand and Indonesia which is an indication that its launch is imminent. This TENAA appearance could be seen as reaffirming that stance. Apart from TENAA, the Moto G6 was allegedly listed on Amazon but the page was later pulled down. Usually, when smartphones get official certifications, their official launch is imminent. Today is the turn of the Motorola Moto G6 line-up and the Moto E5 series. The former, composed of Moto G6, G6 Plus, and G6 Play, has just received network certification in Thailand and Indonesia. The latter composed of Moto E5 and E5 Play has been certified in Indonesia only.

Unfortunately, the certifications do not contain any info about the specs of these five upcoming affordable devices from the Lenovo-owned company. So, when it comes to their specs sheet, we have still to rely on rumors. Images of the Moto G6 Play have been leaked online through Taiwan’s certification agency NCC. Among other devices in the G-series, Motorola‘s Moto G6 Play is expected to be the most affordable model.

Recently, the phone’s specifications were leaked online through benchmarking website Geekbench. The phone will feature a 5.7-inch HD display with screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Under the hood, it is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 processor along with 3GB of RAM.

The phone will be running Android 8.0 Oreo operating system out-of-the-box and the device will be fuelled by a 4,000mAh battery. It will feature a 16MP camera on the back, as well as on the front panel. There’s also a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

One of the leaked images shows the box contents, including earphones. This suggests that the phone will retain the 3.5mm audio jack. The Moto G6 Play will be launched along with Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus.

The company is also gearing up to launch new phones in Moto E-series. Lenovo-owned Motorola is expected to launch three models in this series — Moto E5, Moto E5 Plus, and Moto E5 Play. The Moto E5 Plus, along with Moto E5 has been certified by FCC in the previous month.

Leaked information that surfaced in the previous month revealed that Lenovo-owned Motorola would be launching the Moto E5 series, Moto G6 series, Moto X5 and Moto Z3 series smartphones this year. A well-known leakster has claimed that Motorola will be releasing only these phones in this year. This suggests that the company may not launch successor versions of Moto C and C Plus this year.

According to the tipster, the Moto E series phones that will probably include Moto E5, Moto E5 Plus and Moto E5 Play will include basic specs and large battery.  He has also claimed that the Moto E5 Play would be replacing the Moto C series. The Moto G6 series may come with two-year old flagship specs. The Moto X5 may be branded as high-end phone.

The Moto Z series phones such as Moto Z3 Play and Moto Z3 Force may come with futuristic tech which could probably mean that these handsets will carry support MotoMods accessories along with flagship specs.

Leaked information has revealed that the Moto E5 will coming with 5-inch display and large-sized battery. The Moto G6 and G6 Plus may feature 5.93-inch FHD+ resolution supporting display whereas the Moto G6 Play may feature a regular 5.7-inch HD display. The G6 and G6 Plus may respectively feature Snapdragon 630 and 450 chipsets whereas the low-budget G6 Play may come with Snapdragon 430. The Moto X5 is expected to sport a notch-enabled full screen design like iPhone X flanked with quad cameras. It is speculated that there will be a third Moto Z3 model that may feature advanced specs like Snapdragon 845 and higher resolution display. Hello Moto fans! Here’s one leak that you might find interesting. A tipster has leaked yet another render of the expected Moto G6 on Twitter. Not only that, he also revealed some juicy details of Motorola’s 2018 smartphone offerings, including their names and Touch ID locations.

The Moto G6 has been a regular in leaks over the past few weeks. The G6 series comprises of the G6, G6 Play and G6 Plus but this leaked render (pictured above) is said to be that of the Moto G6 and we can confirm that to some extent based on previous leaks.The Moto series are all said to feature the 18:9 aspect ratio and we can see that in the render. The renders also feature a dual rear camera with a unique design.

More importantly, the leak also includes details of Motorola 2018 smartphones and the tipster attributed the leaked details to Alibaba suppliers. This year, the smartphones that Motorola would be launching is given to include the Moto G6, Moto G6 Play, Moto G6 Plus. Others include the Moto E5, Moto X5, Moto Z3 Play and the Moto Z3. On the location of touch ID, the Moto G6 Plus and G6 Play are detailed to pack a front fingerprint sensor while the Moto G6 will have a rear-mounted one. The Moto E5 is also listed as featuring a rear fingerprint sensor as well as the Moto Z3 Play packs a side fingerprint sensor. Also of interests are the Moto X5 and Moto Z3 which are said to utilise 3D Front Facing Camera (FFC) as their own Face ID unlock technology. The source stated that it is unclear if they would still pack a fingerprint sensor and the location of the sensor. Motorola is expected to announce a couple of its latest offerings including the G6 series later this month at Mobile World Congress 2018 which begins on February 26 but a number of the listed models are likely a long way from being launched. The Moto G6 series have been in the news a lot lately. Yesterday, it was confirmed that all three phones in the lineup will feature displays with an 18:9 aspect ratio. More leaks on all three devices have surfaced.

Moto G6 Plus

According to the source – Andri Yatim (@HeyAndri) who took to Twitter to reveal the details, the Moto G6 Plus will come with the Nexus 6′ 3250mAh battery. The Motorola-made Nexus 6 actually has a 3220mAh battery but 3250mAh isn’t far off, so we’ll give him a pass for that.

He also adds that the G6 Plus will be listed as the LNV-G6P. We believe LNV is short for Lenovo and G6P is of course G6 Plus. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 630, said to have undergone some tuning for battery life and GPU performance. Price for the Moto G6 Plus is put at Rs. 17,000 (~$265).

Moto G6

For the Moto G6, we get to see two new press renders that show the phone in a new silver color variant, as well as some few specs, and a price tag.

The phone will come with the Snapdragon 450 mobile platform, have NFC, and have a 3000mAh battery. It will be be available in Q2 2018 with a Rs. 15,000 (~$234) price tag.

The new render is similar to the previous ones we have seen, save for the color which is silver. It has dual rear cameras with a near identical design as that of the Moto X4. The only difference is the position of the LED flash which is below the sensors in the Moto G6.

The back is said to be made of glass. A Motorola logo is beneath the cameras and a secondary mic lies at the bottom of the phone.

The front of the phone also looks very much like that of the Moto X4 with a few changes. There are just two holes on opposite sides of the earpiece which house the front camera and a sensor. However, there are reports it will have a selfie LED flash.

One major change coming to the next gen Moto G phone is the shape of the home button/fingerprint scanner. It is still pill-shaped but has been made thinner and longer but still doubles as a fingerprint scanner.

Moto G6 Play

The Play series are back after taking a 1-year break. It is said that the Moto G6 Play will come with a Snapdragon 430 processor and a 4,000mAh battery. Even though it has the biggest battery, the price is the lowest at Rs. 12,000 (~$187).

A recent leak revealed the upcoming Moto G6 series lineup, which includes Moto G6, G6 Plus, and the Moto G6 Play. While the previous leak suggested that the device will come with full-screen display and 18:9 aspect ratio.

This has been confirmed by the listing of these devices in the database of HTML5test. It confirms that all three devices will come with a full-screen display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The Moto G6 and G6 Plus will have a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels while the Moto G6 Play will carry screen resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels.

The G6 Plus model is said to have a 5.93-inch display. As per the report, the phone will pack Snapdragon 630 chipset — the same one that drives the Moto X4 Android One smartphone. It is likely to pack 3GB/4GB/6GB RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage.

The phone may come with a rear-facing dual camera setup, featuring a 12-megapixel camera sensor and a 5-megapixel sensor. At the front, it is said to come equipped with a 16-megapixel shooter. It will be powered by a 3,200mAh battery along with front-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Previous reports suggest that the Moto G6 will have a 5.7-inch display and will be powered by the Snapdragon 450 chipset — the same chipset that powers Vivo V7+ and Xiaomi Redmi 5. It is expected to arrive in two models — 3GB RAM and 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB onboard storage.

The phone could come with the same dual camera setup and selfie snapper that will be available on the G6 Plus. The Moto G6 is also rumored to include a front-facing fingerprint scanner and a 3,000mAh battery.

On the other hand, the Moto G6 Play, which is said to carry the model number XT1922, will be powered by Qualcomm‘s Snapdragon 430 processor and will feature a 5.7-inch display showing images at an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels.

It is expected to pack 2GB/3GB RAM with 16GB/32GB of internal storage. The phone is said to pack a 4,000mAh battery and will be running on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system.

Yesterday, Droid-Life had revealed the leaked renders of the upcoming 2018 Motorola smartphone such as Moto G6 series, Moto Z3 series and Moto X5. Earlier in this week, My Smart Price, an Indian publication had also revealed a leaked render of the forthcoming Moto E5 smartphone. The same publication has now released fresh renders of the Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus and Moto G6 Play. Also, some leaked shots of a prototype of Moto G6 Plus have also surfaced.

Moto G6 and G6 Plus

According to the Indian publication, the Moto G6 lineup revealed in new renders show that these phones will be sporting a metal and glass combination design. Also, the rear design of these phones resembles with the Moto X4 that was unveiled last year.

The chin of the Moto G6 and G6 Plus smartphones are equipped a “motorola” placed above a thin-sized home button that is embedded with fingerprint reader. A batwing-like Moto logo is present on the back panel of these phones.

The dual-LED enabled dual camera setup is available on the Moto G6 and G6 Plus. These smartphones also feature a dedicated LED flash for the selfie camera.  The Moto G6 is expected to arrive in color choices like Rose God, Black and Silver. The Moto G6 Plus may arrive in same colors as the G6, but it is also speculated that it may come in colors like Black, Dark Teal and Silver. Both the phones are rumored to be respectively priced at $240 and $330.

The following images reportedly belong to a pre-production unit of Moto G6 Plus. These images resemble with the render of the smartphone shown above as well as the images revealed by Droid-Life.

Moto G6 Play

Like the G6 and G6 Plus, the rear design of the Moto G6 Play resembles with Moto X4 and it is also expected to arrive with metal and glass combination body. However, it lacks some features like dual camera setup and front-facing home button. The dimpled logo placed below the rear camera is expected to come integrated with a fingerprint sensor. It also features a “motorola” brand name on it chin.

The Snapdragon 630 chipset that drives the Moto X4 Android One smartphone will be present under the hood of the Moto G6 Plus.

The Moto G6 Plus is expected to arrive in RAM variants like 3 GB, 4 GB and 6 GB and it is likely to available in storage choices like 32 GB and 64 GB. It may include a rear-facing dual camera setup that will include a 12-megapixel sensor and a 5-megapixel sensor. For snapping selfies, it will be equipped with a 16-megapixel shooter. It may arrive in the market with a price tag of $240.

Moto G6 Play

The Moto G6 Play is speculated to arrive with a 5.7-inch display that will be supporting HD resolution of 720p. There is no confirmation on whether it will be supporting 18:9 aspect ratio like the other G6 series phones. It is rumored to feature a huge battery of 4,000mAh capacity. Unlike the G6 and G6 Plus smartphones, the fingerprint scanner will be placed on the rear panel of the G6 Play as it does not feature a home button. As of this writing, there is no offer information available on the specs of the Moto G6 Play.
