In Malaysia, the recently unveiled Oppo Find X9s is positioned lower than the existing Find X9. The reason behind it is that the X9s packs slightly inferior specs. However, when it debuted in India, it was positioned higher than the X9, which was a bit surprising. Finally, the brand restructured the X9’s price in India, and it now costs more than the X9s.

Oppo Find X9 price revised in India

Oppo has reportedly increased the pricing of the Find X9 in India by Rs 10,000 across both storage variants. According to details shared by tipster Abhishek Yadav on X, retailers have already started receiving updated pricing information, while some retail platforms have also begun reflecting the revised rates online.

The 12GB+256GB variant is now said to cost Rs 84,999 instead of Rs 74,999. Similarly, the 16GB+512GB edition has reportedly moved from Rs 84,999 to Rs 94,999. In comparison, the 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB versions of the Find X9s are priced at Rs 79,999 and Rs 89,999, respectively.

It should be noted that the Find X9 is currently available for Oppo’s online store, Flipkart, Amazon, and other retailer sites. So, the price hike could be in the offline market, and it may take some time to reflect online. If the X9 is still available at a store with its original pricing, it would be the best time to purchase it.

The move changes the positioning of the Find X9 in Oppo’s flagship lineup. When the Find X9s launched in India recently, it arrived with a higher starting price than the Find X9 despite carrying slightly toned-down hardware in certain areas. With the revised pricing now in place, the hierarchy between the two devices appears more aligned.

Industry observers believe rising memory and component costs could be one of the major reasons behind the price increase. The Vivo X300 FE is a great-looking high-end smartphone with premium hardware, including a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, a 50MP triple rear camera setup, and an excellent 6,500mAh battery with fast charging. While it’s a solid pick in the INR 70-90K segment, it’s far from being the only showstopper in this segment.

There are some excellent alternatives to the Vivo X300 FE that offer more value for the same price, including one that’s a no-brainer pick over the X300 FE.

Oppo unveiled the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro in China and global markets in October. In November, these devices were unveiled through a dedicated launch event in India. I have been using the Find X9 for around 3 weeks, and before I switch to my next review device, I will share my thoughts about this device through this review.

Design and Build

My review unit arrived in Titanium Grey, and the first thing you notice is the stark shift in industrial design. Oppo has abandoned the massive, lens-centric circular halo of the Find X8 generation in favour of a corner-mounted, rectangular camera island. To be honest, as a smartphone enthusiast, I miss the old design – that circular module screamed “camera-first” and gave the device a distinct identity. However, I seem to be in the minority here. Almost everyone who has seen me using the Find X9 has commented on how much more premium and sleek this refined aesthetic looks compared to its predecessor.

Ergonomically, the device is a triumph. The frosted glass back offers a velvety texture that is completely immune to fingerprints, and the weight distribution makes the handset feel substantial yet balanced. While the screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, the chassis boasts impressive IP68 and IP69 ratings, ensuring durability against water and high-pressure jets.

A standout addition is the customisable “Snap Key” on the left frame. It functions similarly to an action button, allowing for instant access to AI Notes or the camera, though I found its placement requires a slight grip adjustment to reach comfortably. I have used it actively to open Mind Space, mainly long-pressing it to add notes, storing anything important or idea-worthy that strikes my mind, and coming back to it later to revisit and organise those thoughts.

Display and Audio

The visual experience is driven by a 6.59-inch flat AMOLED panel that sits behind incredibly thin, uniform 1.15mm bezels. It is easily one of the most technically impressive screens I have tested recently. While the phone defaults to FHD+ resolution to conserve power, the sharpness and color calibration are flagship-grade.

Outdoor legibility is excellent as the panel gets bright enough to cut through direct sunlight, and the high-frequency PWM dimming ensures that low-light usage does not result in eye strain. Whether scrolling through text or watching Dolby Vision content, the 120Hz refresh rate keeps everything feeling fluid and responsive.

Complementing the visuals is a stereo speaker setup that punches well above its weight. The audio output is genuinely impressive as it’s loud, full-bodied, and maintains clarity even when you push the volume slider to the maximum. While it may lack the final bit of deep bass resonance found in absolute top-tier Pro models, the sound separation is fantastic for gaming and streaming. It is a complete multimedia package that does not force you to reach for headphones the moment you start a video.

Performance and Software (1/2)

The Find X9 delivers a reliable, consistent performance profile. It runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 platform, produced using a 3nm manufacturing node. In real daily use, this processor copes well with quick app transitions, media apps, navigation, editing tools, and AI functions. I don’t lean on synthetic scores to measure phones anymore, so the focus here is behavior, not charts.

Large world-map games like Genshin Impact sustained 60-frame movement inside dense areas for 15-minute sessions. Rear panel temperature topped out at roughly 36°C during those runs. In extreme repeat stress cycles, it did reach approximately 48°C, and multi-run benchmarking loops forced the processor into protective throttling that reduced output sharply after several continuous passes. This is not a rare issue in premium Android phones, and in real tasks, I did not face repeated throttling during photo processing, background app use, or image editing.

Battery technology is one of the Find X9’s strongest advantages. Oppo has used its fourth-generation silicon-carbon chemistry, resulting in a 7,025mAh cell that is both denser and lighter than conventional graphite-based packs. In practical use, I consistently crossed 10 hours of screen-on-time with a mix of camera use, social media, streaming, and navigation. Standby drain is minimal, and power management feels well-tuned even on mobile data.

The device supports 80W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, 55W PD/PPS, and 10W reverse wireless charging. Using the bundled 80W charger, the phone reached about 66 percent in half an hour and took around 1 hour and 10 minutes for a full charge. These numbers hold consistently across multiple cycles, and the temperature during charging remained controlled.

Performance and Software (2/2)

The Find X9 ships with ColorOS 16 built on Android 16, with support promised for five major OS upgrades and six years of security protection updates. The interface feels fluid without unexpected slowdowns, with system animations that stay polished and predictable. Live alerts appear in central floating screen cards for ride bookings, food deliveries, countdowns, and payments, reducing the need to jump across multiple menus.

Oppo’s device-to-device sharing system works well, enabling file transfers when two supported ColorOS 16 phones are brought close. Motion assistance tools, for users who feel uneasy while travelling, are included without feeling intrusive.

The AI suite stands out as a genuinely practical layer. Screenshot understanding, voice transcription, automated summaries, reminder tagging, and calendar suggestions were executed cleanly. The AI organiser module also helped me convert unstructured transcriptions into clean pointers without manual editing. For productivity, it becomes a tool you return to, not a feature you acknowledge once. Here’s a look at how the phone performed on benchmarking apps.

Camera and Other Features (1/2)

The Find X9 is built for real shooting behaviour over marketing numbers. My review unit carries a 50MP front sensor (Samsung JN5 with autofocus) and a 50MP main rear lens (Sony LYT-828 with optical stabilisation). It is joined by a 50MP ultra-wide lens with autofocus and a multispectral optics layer that helps fine-tune colour interpretation, exposure balance, and scene recognition.

Daylight photography is a clear strength. The main sensor delivers dependable clarity, controlled highlights, and accurate colours. Even in harsh lighting, reflective surfaces didn’t collapse the dynamic range. Shadows stay composed, bright objects hold texture, and cropping into images retains enough detail without making fine surfaces noisy or digitally rough.

The selfie camera is one of the smarter inclusions here. Having autofocus on the front lens makes close-range framing more reliable for product selfies and food stories. Skin tones remain natural, the focal lock is fast, and images don’t shift into exaggerated contrast even when subjects are close to the lens.

The ultra-wide system avoids dramatic edge bending. The wide field looks optically level, colour matching stays close to the main sensor, and autofocus improves practicality for low-angle product shots. Close-distance shooting with the wide lens stayed usable, especially when capturing boxed items, gadgets on tables, or storefront signboards.

Camera and Other Features (1/2)

Portrait photography performs confidently. Subject outlines stay sharp, segmentation doesn’t bleed into backgrounds, and the blur layering feels progressive instead of stiff or digitally stamped. Backlit portraits kept controlled face brightness and natural tones without forcing heavy smoothing.

For video, the phone supports 4K shooting at up to 120 frames, and 8K video recording is available, delivering sharp results in supported modes. Audio capture stays voice-forward and clear enough for casual vlogging or reel-style review clips, even when environmental sound is active around the recording.

For everyday content creators and users who prioritise photos first and predictability second, the Find X9 offers a camera system that behaves more like a dependable tool than a mode-hopping project.

Beyond cameras, the Find X9 comes with a handful of important features. The ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is a useful addition, staying reliable even with slightly wet or oily fingers. It reads prints accurately without repeated attempts. Other features include an IR blaster, NFC for payments, and both eSIM and physical SIM support that covers most connectivity needs.

Verdict

Ultimately, the Find X9 prioritizes real-world fluidity over benchmark bragging rights. While extreme stress tests reveal some thermal limits, they rarely impact daily use. The combination of a stunning display, genuinely useful AI tools like the Snap Key, a reliable camera system, and a battery that comfortably lasts well beyond a full day makes this a polished, premium all-rounder. If you want a phone that feels cohesive rather than just powerful, the Find X9 is a fantastic choice.

Oppo has added a new Velvet Red color to the Find X9 in India, just 10 days after the series launched. This gives the standard Find X9 three color options in total: Velvet Red, Titanium Grey and Space Black. Oppo says the new shade was introduced because many buyers wanted a more bold and expressive option.

The company also shared early sales data. According to Oppo, the Find X9 series has seen three times higher sales compared to the previous Find lineup in the first seven days of availability.

The Velvet Red variant comes in a single 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model priced at ₹74,999. With bank offers, buyers can bring the price down to ₹67,499. Oppo is also giving a Black Gold Gift Box worth ₹5,198 that includes the Oppo Enco Buds 3 Pro Plus and a premium phone case. Open sales start on 8 December on the Oppo India website, Flipkart and authorised retail stores.

Just a day after Oppo announced the launch date for the Find X9 and X9 Pro in India, their pricing has popped up on the internet now. Tipster Abhishek Yadav shared the alleged numbers on X.

According to the leak, the standard Find X9 with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage could be priced at ₹74,999. Meanwhile, the Find X9 Pro is expected to come in at ₹99,999. 

Of course, these are still expected prices, so don’t be surprised if they shift once the phones officially go on sale. 

For reference, the Find X8 debuted at ₹69,999, while the X8 Pro launched at the same price in India.

What can you expect?

The Find X9 features a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 2760×1256 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness hits an impressive 3600 nits, and 3840Hz PWM dimming should help reduce flicker. 

The design keeps things clean with a flat aluminum frame and matte glass back in Titanium Grey, Space Black, or Velvet Red. IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings mean serious dust and water protection.

Oppo is again leaning into camera hardware. The phone adopts a new Hasselblad Master Camera System, pairing a 50MP Sony LYT-808 main sensor with 50MP ultra-wide and 50MP periscope telephoto lenses. A dedicated 2MP True Color Camera handles ambient light sensing.

Under the hood, the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 brings a claimed 32% CPU boost and 55% lower peak power draw. The 7.99mm chassis packs a hefty 7025mAh battery with 80W wired, 50W wireless, and 10W reverse charging.

The Find X9 Pro pushes things further with a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED panel, the same Dimensity 9500 chip, up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, and a 7500mAh battery. 

The big headline is its 200MP Hasselblad telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and a Samsung HP5 sensor, joined by a custom 1/1.28-inch main camera with Real-Time Triple Exposure. It also shoots 4K 120fps Dolby Vision HDR.

Apple’s iPhone 17 arrived with a surprising twist this year, not just a generational spec bump, but a clear intent to undercut the dominance of aggressively priced Chinese flagships. With a $799 starting price, Apple is clearly recalibrating, offering ProMotion, a 48MP Ultra Wide camera, and the new N1 networking chip in a base model. But does that make it better than the likes of the Xiaomi 17, Vivo X300, or Oppo Find X9?

Let’s break it down.

Display and Design

The iPhone 17 features a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion support for the first time in a base model. It now supports up to 120Hz refresh rate and Always-On Display functionality. Peak outdoor brightness reaches 3000 nits, which is a significant step up from its predecessor.

Xiaomi uses a 1.5K OLED LTPO panel on the Xiaomi 17 that hits 3500 nits peak brightness. Performance

The A19 chip on the iPhone 17 is based on a 3nm architecture with a 6-core CPU and a 5-core GPU. Apple says the CPU is 1.5 times faster than the A15 in iPhone 13, with the GPU more than doubling the performance of the older generation. The new chip also includes a 16-core Neural Engine for AI tasks.

Xiaomi uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which includes an Adreno 840 GPU and supports advanced thermal management. On the other hand, Oppo and Vivo use MediaTek Dimensity 9500, which has scored over 4 million points on AnTuTu. Apple’s efficiency remains a strong point, but Chinese rivals now match or surpass the iPhone in raw performance, especially in multitasking and gaming workloads.

Camera

Apple upgraded the rear setup with a 48MP main and a 48MP ultra-wide camera. The front camera now uses an 18MP sensor with Center Stage, enabling AI-based field-of-view expansion and landscape selfies without rotating the phone. The iPhone 17 also supports 4K HDR recording on both front and rear cameras, and it introduces Dual Capture.

Xiaomi features a Leica-powered triple 50MP setup, including a Light Fusion 950 sensor and telephoto lens. Vivo uses a 200MP sensor paired with a Zeiss-certified periscope and telemacro lens. Oppo includes a 50MP triple-camera setup with Hasselblad tuning and a spectral sensor for accurate color capture. Apple closes the gap with better usability, but the hardware and flexibility of Chinese camera systems remain superior.

Battery and Charging

Apple claims up to 30 hours of video playback on the iPhone 17. The phone supports 40W USB-C fast charging and 25W MagSafe or Qi2 wireless charging. This marks the first time a base iPhone supports fast charging above 20W.

Chinese flagships dominate in this area. Xiaomi’s 7000mAh battery supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, along with reverse charging. Vivo includes a 6040mAh battery with 90W wired and 40W wireless speeds. Oppo uses a 7025mAh silicon-carbon battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. Apple improves charging speed, but Android rivals continue to lead in capacity and endurance.

Connectivity and Extras

The iPhone 17 introduces Apple’s N1 wireless chip, which supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, Thread networking, and improved Personal Hotspot and AirDrop performance. It also retains Face ID and adds the new Ceramic Shield 2 coating for better scratch resistance.

Chinese phones come with more features on paper. Xiaomi, Vivo, and Oppo include in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensors, infrared blasters, reverse wireless charging, and high-precision GPS with NavIC support. Vivo and Oppo both offer IP69 ratings, while Apple retains IP68. Apple maintains a smooth ecosystem and polished integration, but Android competitors push more hardware-level features.

Pricing and Value

Apple priced the iPhone 17 at $799 for the 256GB model, which is lower than the 256GB versions of the Xiaomi 17 and Vivo X300. This puts Apple in a more competitive position, especially in markets where iPhones traditionally cost more.

The Xiaomi 17 starts at 4499 yuan (around $630) for the 12GB + 256GB variant. Vivo’s X300 starts at 4399 yuan ($618) for the same configuration. The Find X9 is positioned higher at 999 Euros for the 12GB + 512GB model. Chinese phones offer better hardware value, but Apple’s improved base configuration and pricing strategy make the iPhone 17 an attractive option in more markets.

Verdict

The iPhone 17 is not better than its Chinese rivals in raw specifications. It still lags in charging, camera versatility, and display brightness. But it fixes previous limitations in display refresh rate, camera quality, and charging speed while maintaining Apple’s ecosystem advantage.

More importantly, it now does this at a more competitive price. Apple is no longer just playing the brand card. The iPhone 17 brings value with real improvements, even if it doesn’t beat Xiaomi, Vivo, or Oppo in feature-for-feature comparisons. It is not the most advanced phone in this group, but it is the most balanced iPhone base model Apple has ever made.

Flagship smartphone launches used to be simple. There was one premium model, one Pro version for those who wanted more, and maybe a standard version for everyone else. But that line has almost completely blurred in 2025.

The so-called “base” models from major Chinese brands have grown powerful enough to challenge their own Pro siblings. They now offer high-end cameras, premium materials, and top-tier chips, all at prices that make Pro models feel unnecessary.

The latest proof of this comes from Vivo, Xiaomi, and Oppo, whose new phones — the Vivo X300, Xiaomi 17, and Oppo Find X9 — were launched within weeks of each other.

Although these three phones sit below their Pro counterparts, they look and feel like top-tier devices in their own right. What’s even more interesting is how differently each company interprets the idea of a flagship phone for everyone.

Design and Display

On paper, the three phones share similar footprints. The Vivo X300 and Xiaomi 17 are almost identical in size, hovering around 6.3 inches, while Oppo’s Find X9 stretches slightly larger to 6.59 inches. 

All three offer some level of IP68 water and dust protection, though Vivo and Oppo go further with IP69 ratings, which means resistance to high-pressure water jets. This feature is almost unnecessary for most people (here’s why), but it’s here nonetheless.

There’s not much to separate them in display technology either. Each uses an LTPO AMOLED panel with up to 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and color standards that now seem mandatory for phones at this price. 

Only if we nitpick, Xiaomi claims that it can reach 3,500 nits peak brightness, Vivo claims 4,500 nits, and Oppo claims 3,600 nits. While these are peak figures and you’re rarely hitting these numbers, it’s reassuring to know all three should remain perfectly usable outdoors.

All three panels support HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and high-frequency PWM dimming, with pixel densities hovering around 460ppi. In real use, they’ll likely look nearly identical, though the default color calibration depends on how the brand prefers it. 

Performance

The clearest separation between these phones comes from what’s inside. Xiaomi uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while both Vivo and Oppo rely on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500.

On paper, Qualcomm still leads in raw CPU and GPU performance. Xiaomi’s 8 Elite Gen 5 uses custom Oryon cores with clock speeds up to 4.6GHz and the new Adreno 840 GPU.

Vivo and Oppo’s Dimensity 9500 chips are not far behind; they are built on the same 3nm process and have their own “C1 Ultra” cores running at 4.21GHz. But MediaTek’s focus is on efficiency and sustained performance, and in practice, the difference may be small unless you push the phones with extended gaming or AI workloads.

What’s more notable is how similar these three feel in day-to-day use. All three phones use UFS 4.1 storage and LPDDR5X RAM to ensure flagship-level responsiveness. 

Cameras

The biggest philosophical split lies in the camera systems. Vivo is the most camera-focused brand here, and it shows. The Vivo X300 leads with a 200-megapixel Samsung HPB main sensor, accompanied by two 50-megapixel cameras — one telephoto, one ultrawide. 

Then it has Zeiss optics and the ability to import 3D LUTs. And it even supports a detachable telephoto extender lens sold separately, something previously reserved for its Ultra series.

Xiaomi 17 uses a triple 50-megapixel setup, each tuned in collaboration with Leica. The main lens is a 1/1.31-inch sensor with an f/1.7 aperture, and the telephoto offers 2.6x optical zoom. It also supports 8K video and Dolby Vision HDR, matching its Pro siblings in video flexibility.

Oppo’s Find X9, meanwhile, keeps things simple. It sticks with three 50-megapixel sensors but relies on the established partnership with Hasselblad for color tuning. 

The 3x periscope telephoto offers real optical range, and image quality should remain strong thanks to the large 1/1.4-inch main sensor. Like Vivo, Oppo has a telephoto extender for the Find X9 series, but it’s reserved for the Pro model. 

Battery and charging

Battery life is where these phones start to feel generationally different. All three use silicon-carbon battery chemistry, allowing higher capacity without added bulk. 

Oppo leads the group with a 7,025mAh battery, followed closely by Xiaomi’s 7,000mAh and Vivo’s smaller but efficient 6,040mAh pack. Despite the difference in capacity, Vivo claims its battery lasts as long as a typical 7,000mAh unit. 

Charging speeds are fast across the board. Xiaomi supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, Oppo follows with 80W wired and 50W wireless, and Vivo offers 90W wired and 40W wireless. The phones can go from empty to full in under 40 minutes.

Software and experience

All three phones ship with Android 16, customized heavily by their respective skins: HyperOS 3 on Xiaomi, OriginOS 6 on Vivo, and ColorOS 16 on Oppo.

Each takes a different approach to personalization, and whether you like these skins or not largely comes down to preference. Each phone also includes an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, dual stereo speakers, NFC, and infrared blasters. None offers a 3.5mm headphone jack, but all support high-resolution wireless audio.

Verdict

In truth, there’s no clear winner here. The Vivo X300, Xiaomi 17, and Oppo Find X9 are all high-end devices with different priorities wrapped in similar price brackets.

The Vivo X300 is for those who care about photography above all else. Its 200-megapixel sensor and Zeiss collaboration make it a quiet powerhouse for imaging, and its compact design will appeal to users tired of oversized flagships.

The Xiaomi 17 is an all-rounder. Its Leica-tuned cameras, Snapdragon chip, and large battery make it easy to recommend to anyone who values both power and polish.

The Oppo Find X9 sits somewhere between the two. It emphasizes endurance and balance. It’s not as flashy as the Xiaomi or as ambitious as the Vivo. Still, it might be the most reliable of the bunch, combining excellent battery life, consistent camera output, and understated design.

The phone houses a 7025mAh battery in a slim 7.99mm frame. Using OPPO’s third-generation Silicon-Carbon technology, it maintains 80% capacity after five years of use. It supports 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging, 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.

Software and Features

Running ColorOS 16 based on Android 16, the phone adds AI tools like AI Mind Space, AI Recorder, and AI Portrait Glow. O+ Connect allows cross-device control with Windows and Mac, supporting screen mirroring and remote file access.

Oppo has launched the Find X9 Series globally along with ColorOS 16. This is the first global smartphone lineup to use MediaTek’s new 3nm Dimensity 9500 processor. Oppo has also confirmed the India launch, and a dedicated microsite is now live on the Oppo India website.

The Indian microsite confirms that both the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro will arrive in the country. The Find X9 will be available in Titanium Grey, while the Find X9 Pro will come in Silk White. Oppo will also release the Enco Buds3 Pro+ in Blue and Black, and the Hasselblad Teleconverter Kit for the Find X9 Pro. The kit includes a teleconverter lens, a magnetic camera grip, a magnetic back cover, and a shoulder strap.

The Find X9 is powered by a 7,025mAh silicon-carbon battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. The Find X9 Pro uses a larger 7,500mAh battery with 90W wired charging. Oppo claims up to 69 hours of mixed use for the X9 and up to 80 hours for the X9 Pro.

Both phones run Android 16 with ColorOS 16 and are powered by the Dimensity 9500 chip, offering up to 32% faster single-core performance than last year’s models. OPPO has worked with Google to connect Mind Space to Gemini. This integration allows Gemini to access content from Mind Space and help users take action with it. For example, someone planning a trip can save articles and notes in Mind Space and then ask Gemini to create a detailed itinerary. Users can choose exactly what Gemini can see or use from within Mind Space, keeping control over their data.

Gemini-powered features on Find X9 Series

Gemini will also work with other OPPO apps. Users can chat with Gemini to get help, edit photos using the Nano Banana image editing model, or ask questions through Gemini Live. Gemini Live can respond to what users see on their screen or through their camera, offering visual help such as showing steps to fix a device or organize storage.

Built on privacy and trust

All these features are backed by OPPO’s AI Private Computing Cloud, which uses Google Cloud’s confidential computing services. It is found that OPPO’s product managers have recently become very fond of one particular word in public or on social media: balance. Earlier this year, after Gizmochina Review finished the in-depth reviews of the Xiaomi, vivo, and OPPO’s Ultra models, I found that the OPPO Find X8 Ultra was the most well-balanced phone among them, with the fewest shortcomings. And now, the new Find X9 series appears to carry on this ‘strength’.

The camera specs of these two phones are clearly more powerful than those of the Xiaomi 17 series, and their batteries are also much larger than those of the vivo X300 series. Design

In 2025, phone brands probably have realized one thing over the flagship category: consumers are already tired of identical designs. That’s why the shapes of recent phones are more distinctive. Some use a unibody aluminum alloy body, while others add a secondary screen on the back. As for the Find X9, well… it seems to have gone back to the very beginning, placing the camera module at the top-left corner, stable and neat. No doubt, you can picture many past smartphones in your mind. Does this design look familiar to you? Yes, that’s right — particularly, it’s the same design as the OnePlus 13s. The difference is that the Find X9 series has a larger and more refined camera module.

If you look closely, the Find X9 standard version uses a ring-shaped flash, while the Pro version has to move the flash out of the island, because the periscope telephoto lens occupies the position where the flash should be. There’s another difference between the standard and the Pro: the camera control button on the Pro’s shoulder. It’s located quite close to the middle, which means it’s not an easy position to hold firmly and touch, unless you’ve got a big enough hand…right hand.

Overall, the Find X9 series has seen significant changes in appearance, especially this rouge (dark pink) version, which helps it stand out among all the new phones and become one of the most eye-catching new releases.

Display

Like most Chinese smartphones, one of the main distinctions between the standard version and the Pro version lies in their size. The standard version measures around 6.6 inches, slightly larger than the Xiaomi 17 and the vivo X300, and it has been upgraded to ultrasonic fingerprint recognition.

The Pro version is 6.78 inches, but this time it switches to a flat display instead of the previous quad-curved one.

Both phones have 1.15mm bezels, so the larger Pro looks like it has narrower edges. In terms of thickness, both models are similar to the previous generation, though the X9 series is slightly heavier. They support IP68 and IP69 dust&water resistance respectively. The only flaw that stands out is that the USB-C port on the standard version is still USB 2.0, which makes it the slowest in data transfer among recently released flagship phones.

Camera

Both phones share the same ultra-wide-angle camera and include a 2MP multispectral sensor. The main difference in their camera systems lies in the main and telephoto cameras. The standard version uses a smaller main sensor and an LYT-600 telephoto cam, which does not support macro function. The Pro version, on the other hand, uses an LYT-828 main sensor and a brand-new 200MP Samsung HP5 telephoto camera, officially certified by Hasselblad.

And this time, OPPO has also improved the quality of Live Photos — now, photos are captured at 50MP by default, instead of 12MP. Video zoom and exposure have also been optimized. And if you want to attach an external telephoto lens, that’s no problem either — OPPO has released a dedicated external telephoto lens kit.

From the looks of it, OPPO has invested a lot in the Find X9 series’ camera system, and I’m really looking forward to seeing how it performs in the upcoming review.

SoC & Battery

The Find X9 series is powered by the Dimensity 9500, MediaTek’s latest top-tier processor, so there’s no need to worry about performance.

Both models now feature much larger batteries, matching the Xiaomi 17 series, and exceeding the vivo X300 series by about 1,000mAh. The charging system supports 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Overall, the Find X9 series has the fewest shortcomings among all the newly released flagship phones.

I’ve summarized the specifications of the latest three flagship phones, and it’s easy to see that the Find X9 series is currently the most well-balanced one. The pricing also indicates that OPPO is ready to compete head-to-head with the other two brands.

If you don’t really know what kind of phone you like or dislike, then the Find X9 series will be the one for you. Since last year, OPPO seems to have realized one simple truth: less is more. Oppo finally pulled the curtains off the Find X9 and X9 Pro smartphones in China last night. Alongside the domestic debut, we now also have details about their global launch, which isn’t too far away.

Oppo has confirmed that it will unveil both the Find X9 series and the accompanying ColorOS 16 globally on October 28th at an event in Barcelona, Spain. However, the two phones won’t reach India until November.

According to an earlier report, Oppo is expected to hold a separate launch event specifically for the Indian market.

The Find X9 features a 6.59-inch flat Tianma OLED display with a 2760×1256 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 3600 nits of peak brightness. It’s protected by Oppo’s Crystal Shield Glass and framed by impressively slim 1.45mm bezels. 

Inside, the phone runs on MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9500 chip, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.

The camera setup consists of three 50MP sensors: a Sony LYT-808 main lens with OIS, a Samsung JN5 ultra-wide, and a Sony LYT-600 periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom. There’s also a 32MP Sony IMX615 camera up front. 

The Find X9 draws power from a 7025mAh battery, supporting 80W wired and 50W wireless charging, with 5W reverse wireless charging included.

The Pro model steps things up in display, optics, and endurance. It uses a slightly larger 6.78-inch LTPO OLED panel with 1–120Hz adaptive refresh and even thinner 1.15mm quad-edge bezels. 

It’s powered by the same Dimensity 9500 chip but upgrades the telephoto camera to a 200MP sensor and the selfie camera to 50MP.

Both models support 4K video recording at up to 120fps and include Hasselblad’s XPAN mode for cinematic shooting. The Find X9 Pro also packs a bigger 7500mAh battery while maintaining the same charging speeds.

The Pro model increases the display size to 6.78 inches with a slightly higher resolution of 2772×1272. It adopts an 8T LTPO panel for a 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate and boasts quad-edge narrow bezels measuring just 1.15mm. Both models feature Oppo’s self-developed P3 display chip, which enhances color calibration, dynamic contrast, and screen power efficiency.

The phones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, featuring an eight-core architecture with a peak clock speed of 4.21GHz. They support LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, with configurations reaching up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. Oppo also includes its self-developed Tidal Engine, which improves real-time resource allocation and maintains system stability during heavy workloads.

The devices are equipped with Oppo’s in-house Shanhai Communication Enhancement Chip, designed to boost signal reception, optimize antenna switching, and improve uplink speed and call clarity under varying network conditions. Both models run on ColorOS 16, featuring system-wide improvements in photography, display tuning, multitasking, and AI-driven smart functions.

The Oppo Find X9 features a 50MP Sony LYT-808 main sensor with OIS, a 50MP Samsung JN5 ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera using Sony’s LYT-600 sensor. Recent reports have revealed almost everything about the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro, which will be powered by the Dimensity 9500 chipset. The X9 will have a 6.59-inch 1.5K 120Hz flat OLED screen, a 7,025mAh battery, and a 32-megapixel front camera. Its rear camera setup will have a Sony LYT-808 50-megapixel main camera, a Samsung JN5 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and an LYT-600 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.

On the other hand, the Find X9 Pro will have a 6.78-inch 1.5K 120Hz flat OLED panel, a 7,500mAh battery, and a 50-megapixel selfie camera. On the back, it will have a LYT-828 50-megapixel main camera, a Samsung JN5 50-megapixel ultra-wide snapper, and a Samsung HP5 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.

Both phones will have an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner and run on ColorOS 16-based Android 16. These devices will also feature an IP68/69-rated body.

Oppo is all set to announce the Oppo Find X9 series of smartphones on Oct. 16 in China. It is also being said that Oppo may hold a separate launch event in India. The Oppo Find X9 and Find X9 Pro will arrive as India’s first phones powered by the Dimensity 9500 chipset. As far as the launch is concerned, it will be held in November.

The Find X9 series is not the only one planned to launch in India next month. Recent reports have claimed that the Realme GT 8 Pro may break cover on Nov. 11, whereas the OnePlus 15 may launch on Nov. 13.

While the Find X9 and X9 Pro are photography-focused smartphones powered by the Dimensity 9500, the GT 8 Pro and OP15 are performance-driven phones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The iQOO 15, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, is also expected to go official in November in India.

Vivo is also said to be working on the Vivo X300 series for India. Speculations are rife that the X300 and X300 Pro may debut in December in the country. Like the Find X9 series, the X300 duo will arrive with the Dimensity 9500 chip onboard.

The Oppo Find X9 and Find X9 Pro are now officially listed for pre-orders before their Oct. 16 launch in China. The official listings have revealed the configurations and colour options of the Find X9 duo. At the same time, the company also seems to be gearing up for the Find X9 series’ global launch.

Oppo Find X9 configurations, color variants

The Oppo Find X9 and Find X9 Pro will arrive in common shades such as Frosty White, Silver Titanium, and Chasing Light Red. The standard model will also have an additional colour option called Fog Black.

When it comes to RAM and storage combinations, both smartphones will be available in options like 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB. The Find X9 will also have a 16GB+256GB additional variant.

In terms of design, both phones have a similar appeal, featuring a triple camera island on the back panel. As a differentiator, the Find X9 has a ring LED flash placed inside the camera module, whereas the Pro edition has a pill-shaped LED flash placed outside the camera island.

The Find X9 is smaller in size with a 6.59-inch display, whereas the Pro version packs a bigger 6.78-inch screen. Both support a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and have an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. These Dimensity 9500-powered phones have 7,025mAh and 7,500mAh batteries, respectively. Both support 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.

Oppo Find X9 series global launch teased

Oppo has recently signed up table tennis Olympic and World Champion Sun Yingsha to endorse the Find X9 series in China. Oppo’s global X handle has also posted the same without mentioning the Find X9 series. Nevertheless, the X post does hint that the series will debut soon globally.

As per a recent leak, Oppo may hold a global launch event on Oct. 28 to unveil the Find X9 series. It is also being said that the brand may hold a separate launch event for India in November.

Oppo Find X9 Series

According to known tipster Yogesh Brar, Oppo might be planning on leading the charge for the next generation of flagship phones. The upcoming Find X9 and Find X9 Pro will be unveiled in the brand’s home market of China on 16th October 2025, but it might debut in India sometime next month, similar to its predecessors.

These devices will pack MediaTek’s latest and greatest Dimensity 9500 and come equipped with Hasselblad tuned cameras. In our recent roundup, we covered various aspects of this device, like the redesigned body, OLED displays with ultrasonic fingerprint scanners, gigantic 7,000mAh+ batteries, and Sony’s new LYT828 image sensor (on the Find X9 Pro).

OnePlus 15

OnePlus launched its last flagship phone in India right at the start of the year. But the OnePlus 13’s successor could be arriving earlier than expected. The OnePlus 15 is expected to be unveiled in China on 27th October 2025. Meanwhile, a recent rumor claims that the global release might be set for 13th November 2025.

OnePlus is making notable changes with its next flagship model, which is moving away from the Hasselblad camera tuning and focusing on offering performance at a great value. Back in September, we covered a leak that revealed the possible price tag of the OnePlus 15, which is reportedly cheaper than the OnePlus 13. This model is expected to debut with a smoother 144Hz display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, and a massive 7,000mAh battery pack.

Realme GT 8 Pro

Just like the OnePlus 15, the Realme GT 8 Pro is among the first wave of flagship phones with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. While an official launch date is still unclear, the Realme GT 8 Pro is expected to launch as India’s first Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. It remains to be seen if it actually holds up to this claim or arrives just after the OnePlus 15.

The Realme GT 8 Pro is expected to be announced in China later this month, with a display that has an impressive peak brightness of up to 7000 nits. Other notable features include a 200MP periscope telephoto shooter, a 144Hz AMOLED display, and 120W wired fast charging support.

iQOO 15

The iQOO 15 enters as the gaming-centric option in this lineup. This model will be unveiled in China later this month, alongside the iQOO Neo 11. However, the company has already begun teasing the iQOO 15 in India, so it might debut late next month.

This model is expected to debut with a 6.85-inch Samsung AMOLED screen with a 2K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. It is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a 7,000mAh battery pack, and 100W wired fast charging support.

Vivo X300 Series

While the Vivo X300 series will be the first set of premium devices that feature the Dimensity 9500 in China, it will arrive after the Find X9 series in India. The Vivo X300 and Vivo X300 Pro are set to launch on 13th October 2025. But considering the Vivo X200 lineup arrived in India in December 2024, we can expect a similar launch timeline for the Vivo X300 series.

The base X300 is a compact flagship with a 6.31-inch display; however, the X300 Pro is a tall 6.78-inch full fledged premium phone. These models are getting an upgrade in terms of battery capacity, camera performance, display quality, and much more.

Oppo is preparing to raise the bar in mobile photography again with its upcoming Find X9 series. Leaks and confirmations are already painting a bold picture, with new Sony main cameras, Hasselblad camera accessories, massive battery capacities, and flagship grade hardware. With the launch date being near, here’s everything we currently know about the upcoming Find X9 and Find X9 Pro.

Design & Aesthetic Changes

The Chinese tech giant is bringing a notable design overhaul on the back of the Find X9 series. Oppo’s flagships are moving away from the large circular camera module found on its predecessor to a new rectangular island with rounded corners. However, the flat metallic frame and a flat glass panel on the back make a return. The higher end Pro model is expected to measure 8.24mm thick, weigh around 224 grams, and feature an IP66 + IP68 + IP69 rating for water and dust resistance. Meanwhile, the Find X9 may be 7.99mm thick and 203 grams heavy.

The exact dimensions for the standard Find X9 are unclear, but we can expect great water and dust resistance. Visually alone, the Find X9 lineup appears similar to the new OnePlus 15. Other notable design elements include curved edges and rumors of a velvet or “sand-velvet” texture for a premium look and feel.

Display

On the front, Oppo’s Find X9 is expected to sport a 6.59-inch screen, while the Find X9 Pro features a taller 6.78-inch panel. Both models arrive with an OLED display with LTPO support, a 1.5K resolution, 3840Hz PWM dimming, a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision support, and thinner bezels that are also uniform. These devices are expected to house an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner under the screen. Just like the Xiaomi 17 lineup, the Oppo Find X9 was recently teased with 1 nit display.

Performance

The Oppo Find X9 lineup is set to be one of the first premium Android phones that feature MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 9500 SoC. Thanks to this chip, the Find X9 Pro was spotted with an impressive score of over 4 million points on the AnTuTu benchmark. Oppo might couple this chip with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. This top configuration is also expected to bring SMS via the Beidou satellite.

Owing to its larger size, the Find X9 Pro will reportedly pack a gigantic 7,500mAh battery with support for 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. While the Find X9 does get a smaller cell, the capacity is still an impressive 7,025mAh with the same fast charging speeds.

Camera

Photography is a major focus for the new Find X9 series, with the Pro model featuring cutting edge imaging tech. It is expected to sport the same primary camera as the Vivo X300 Pro, which is the Sony LYT828. This camera has a 1/1.28-inch CMOS sensor. You also get a 50MP Samsung JN5 ultra wide angle lens, a 200MP Samsung HP5 periscope telephoto shooter, and a 2MP multispectral sensor.

Oppo will pack the base Find X9 with a similar quad camera setup, but with a downgraded 50MP telephoto shooter and likely different sensors for the main camera (likely LYT808). Apart from the Hasselblad tuning for improved picture quality, the premium Find X9 Pro will even get the magnetic Hasselblad camera kit.

Launch Date

The Oppo Find X9 and Find X9 Pro will be announced in the Chinese market on 16th October 2025. These devices will likely bring a series of new features with Oppo’s Android 16 OS based ColorOS 16 custom skin out of the box, that brings deeper AI integration and tools.

MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chipset is set to power a new generation of flagship smartphones. Built on a 3nm process, the chip features console-grade ray tracing, improved AI capabilities, and major gains in power efficiency.

It introduces an updated NPU, a faster CPU architecture, and support for advanced display and camera features. The first phones with the Dimensity 9500 will arrive in October, with Vivo and Oppo leading the charge.

Vivo X300 & X300 Pro

Vivo will be the first brand to launch Dimensity 9500-powered phones. The company will unveil the Vivo X300 series on October 13 in China. The lineup includes the standard X300 and the higher-end X300 Pro.

As per leaks, both devices use BOE’s Q10 Plus LTPO OLED displays with a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The X300 has a 6.31-inch screen, while the X300 Pro features a 6.78-inch panel. The panels support minimum brightness as low as 1 nit for better eye protection.

Vivo has equipped both models with the Dimensity 9500 chip. This enables faster performance, hardware-based ray tracing, and AI enhancements for imaging and power management. The X300 Pro has a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP Sony LYT-828 sensor, a 200MP Samsung HPB periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP JN5 ultra-wide camera.

The X300 has a slightly different configuration, using the same 200MP HPB sensor as its main camera, alongside a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP Sony LYT602 periscope unit. Both phones support 4K 60fps portrait video recording and Zeiss optics.

According to a recent leak, the X300 will feature a 6,040mAh battery, while the X300 Pro will use a larger 6,510mAh unit. Both support 90W wired charging and fast wireless charging. The phones will ship with Android 16 and Vivo’s OriginOS 6, which includes ecosystem support for Apple devices.

Oppo Find X9 & X9 Pro

Oppo has scheduled the China launch of the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro for October 16, and a global launch event is set to follow on October 28. Both devices will use the Dimensity 9500 chip, with ColorOS 16 based on Android 16 running out of the box.

According to leaks and rumors, the Find X9 Pro features a 6.78-inch flat LTPO OLED display with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The screen supports up to 3,600 nits of peak brightness and uses Tianma’s latest 1-nit bright eye-protection panel. Oppo has confirmed an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the display.

The Pro model uses a 50MP Sony LYT-828 main sensor, a 50MP Samsung JN5 ultra-wide, and a 200MP Samsung HP5 periscope telephoto camera. The module also includes a 2MP multispectral sensor.

Oppo has designed the camera layout with a rounded-square design and included Hasselblad branding. The phone supports an external Hasselblad teleconverter for added zoom capabilities. For selfies, a 32MP lens is present on the Find X9, while the Pro version upgrades to a 50MP front-facing unit.

The Find X9 Pro includes a 7,500mAh battery with 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The Find X9 uses a slightly smaller 7,025mAh battery and retains the same charging speeds.

The Find X9 and X9 Pro have received certification in multiple markets, including Thailand, India, Singapore, and Malaysia, confirming their international rollout plans. Oppo has also revealed that ColorOS 16 will be released on October 15, just ahead of the Find X9 launch.

Why Dimensity 9500 Matters

The Dimensity 9500 uses an eight-core architecture with a 4.21GHz Ultra Core, three 3.5GHz Super Cores, and four 2.7GHz Performance Cores. MediaTek claims a 32 percent increase in single-core performance and a 17 percent boost in multi-core performance over its predecessor. The chip also uses 55 percent less power at peak load.

MediaTek has added support for 4-channel UFS 4.1 storage and LPDDR5X RAM at 9600Mbps, enabling faster data transfers and smoother multitasking. The new NPU 990 improves large model processing and allows 100 percent faster AI image generation at 4K resolution while consuming 33 percent less power.

The G1-Ultra GPU delivers a 33 percent jump in graphics performance and improves power efficiency by 42 percent. Features like MegaLights in Unreal Engine 5.6 and support for Nanite rendering position the chip as a serious option for mobile gaming.

The Imagiq 1190 ISP allows for 320MP image capture, Dolby Vision 4K recording at 120fps with stabilization, and adaptive display enhancements via MiraVision.
