Citing a source inside Google, Android Authority has shared key specifications of the Pixel 8a. The mid-ranger A-series phone is said to feature a significant display upgrade. While the OLED panel, display resolution, and screen size will remain the same at 6.1 inches, the refresh rate and brightness will get a huge upgrade over last year’s Pixel 7a. The device will offer a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,400 nits peak brightness.
The report adds that Google has increased the corner radius on the Pixel 8a which now measures 128px instead of 47px on the last year’s model. This is in line with the leaked renders that already revealed the design change.
The Pixel 8a will also come with DisplayPort output. This will make the feature available across the entire Pixel 8 series. The flagship models recently started getting support for display output.
