Now, in a new development, it seems that Honor is also planning to launch a TWS earphone called the Choice Earbuds X5 in the country. The information comes from an X user @ZionsAnvin. Read on to know more details below.

Honor Choice Earbuds X5 expected to launch in India

iPhone 15 Pro Max Costs $100 More Than iPhone 14 Pro Max, But It Only Costs $37.7 More to Make

Apple introduced the iPhone 15 family at an event in September 2023. The most notable model in the series was the iPhone 15 Pro Max, with its price and features. The phone was also talked about because it was $100 more expensive than the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which was released the previous year at $1,099. So why did Apple make this decision? Allegations that the company’s production costs had increased emerged. A recent report revealed the cost difference between the two phones. Here are the details…

Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro Max Price Increase Due to New Features Cost or Profit Margin?

Apple’s cost to produce the 8GB + 256GB iPhone 15 Pro Max is 8% higher than the 6GB + 256GB iPhone 14 Pro Max, according to research by Counterpoint. This means that Apple could either absorb the cost increase itself or increase the price by a smaller amount to minimize the impact on consumers. However, the company did neither. As you know, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is a powerhouse when it comes to performance.

The biggest reason for this is Apple’s new generation mobile processor, the A17 Pro, which is manufactured using TSMC’s 3nm process technology. The company increased CPU and GPU performance by 20% thanks to this processor. In addition, ray tracing and DLSS-like technologies also made their way into our lives with this A17 Pro. Unfortunately, the price of this performance was reflected in the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s cost as a $30 increase.

Apple’s first 5x telephoto camera was another factor that increased the cost of the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The camera has a focal length of 120mm and uses a quadruple reflection prism to reflect light. This allows users to take clearer close-ups of more distant objects. Apple also used a 3D sensor-shift OIS technology that can make 10,000 micro-adjustments per second. These features make the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s camera system 34% more expensive than the iPhone 14 Pro Max’s.

Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max cost revealed

As you know, Apple used titanium alloy for the frame of the iPhone 15 Pro Max. This decision reduced the weight of the device by about 20 grams, making it the lightest Pro Max model ever produced. However, everything has a price, and the cost of the new case increased by 18% compared to the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Moreover, not all developments were negative. Apple’s RAM costs fell by 35%, and its display costs fell by 4%. Based on all of this, we can assume that the main reason for the company’s price increase is not cost, but profit.

OnePlus 12 to use Sony’s LYT-808 sensor for its main camera

Earlier this month, OnePlus announced its partnership with Sony to introduce a new Lytia dual-layer stacked sensor for the OnePlus 12. Now, the company has revealed some of the key specifications for the smartphone’s camera.

In a recent Weibo post, the company confirmed that the OnePlus 12 will feature the new Sony LYT-808 sensor as its main camera. The sensor is said to offer improved image quality and performance, particularly in low-light conditions.

The smartphone will also feature a 64MP periscope zoom camera with a 1/2-inch sensor and f/2.6 aperture. This camera will have OIS support and can shoot 3x optically zoomed images.

Additionally, the OnePlus 12 will continue the Hasselblad partnership, which means that it will benefit from Hasselblad’s expertise in color science and image processing.

OnePlus also highlighted a few OPPO image algorithms in the teaser, including an Ultra-Clear Image Quality Algorithm, a Hyperlight and Shadow Algorithm, and a Natural Color Algorithm.

Earlier today, Oppo and Hasselblad unveiled their collaborative project, the Hasselblad HyperTone camera engine. The system is said to offer an end-to-end redesign in imaging and will also be included in the OnePlus 12.

Finally, OnePlus has confirmed that the OnePlus 12 will have a 2K resolution “ProXDR” display.

The OnePlus 12 is expected to launch in China this month, with a global launch expected in January 2024.

Alleged Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro Specs Surface Online

Xiaomi launched the Pad 6 series tablets comprising the standard, pro, (review), and max models in China earlier this year. The company has reportedly started working on the successor models i.e. the Pad 7 series. Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has now shared the first piece of information about the alleged Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo.

Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro first details surface

DCS says that the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro will feature an LCD display panel which is the same as its predecessor. It will also retain a 144Hz refresh rate for a smooth viewing experience. The tipster adds that the device will have a square camera module on the upper left corner of the back panel much like the recently launched Xiaomi 14 series smartphone. To recall, the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro features 50MP + 2MP dual rear cameras, an 8,600mAh battery unit with support for 67W fast charging, and up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.

To address this privacy concern, WhatsApp has implemented a new approach that routes all calls through its servers, effectively masking the users’ IP addresses and obscuring their locations.

Despite this relaying process, all calls remain end-to-end encrypted, ensuring that no one, including WhatsApp itself, can eavesdrop on the conversations.

WhatsApp acknowledges that using the call relay privacy setting may slightly compromise call quality.

How to hide IP address during calls in WhatsApp

However, if privacy is a priority, users can enable the feature by following these steps:

  1. Update to the latest version of WhatsApp.
  2. Open WhatsApp and tap Settings.
  3. Select Privacy.
  4. Tap Advanced.
  5. Toggle on the switch next to Protect IP address in calls.

It’s important to note that group calls on WhatsApp are automatically relayed through the company’s servers by default, eliminating the need to enable this setting specifically for group conversations.

Lava Agni 2S may launch in India with specs similar to the Agni 2

Lava is apparently working on a new variant of the Agni 2, which was first launched earlier this year. The new device is expected to be called the Agni 2S and will reportedly feature specifications that are similar to the Agni 2 that launched back in May. So let’s have a look.

Lava Agni 2S Specs

The news arrives from known tipster Yogesh Brar, who shared the information with 91Mobiles. In the latest report, it was hinted that the smartphone maker is planning on launching the Agni 2S with hardware that is similar to the Agni 2. However, a major difference between the two smartphones will reportedly be a different processor. The Lava Agni 2S is expected to launch later this month.

Unfortunately, the finer details regarding this device like specifications and pricing are still unclear. But this model will likely be a mid range smartphone model as well and launch within a similar price range as the Agni 2. To recall, the Agni 2 was announced in a single 8GB + 256GB model for 21,999 INR. It sported a tall 6.78-inch FHD+ display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it was equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC. Just last month, the Agni 2 was also released in two new color options.

The Lava Agni 2 runs on Android 13 OS out of the box and is powered by a 4,700mAH battery pack that supports 66W fast charging. The rear packs a 50-megapixel triple camera setup, while the front offers a 16-megapixel selfie shooter. So the brand could decide to retain the overall design, display, and camera specs. Keep in mind that this is still just an unconfirmed report, so take this news with a pinch of salt for now.

According to DCS, an upcoming iQOO phone is equipped with a Sony IMX920 50-megapixel primary camera with a 1.49-inch sensor size. The tipster did not specify the exact name of the iQOO device that will be featured. For those who don’t know, the Vivo X100 is also expected to feature the same primary camera.

Since the above-mentioned camera seems suitable for a flagship phone, it appears that the upcoming iQOO Neo 9 Pro may come equipped with it. To recall, the iQOO Neo 8 and Neo 8 Pro, which debuted earlier this year, featured a 50-megapixel Samsung GN5 and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX866 primary camera.

A recent report revealed that the iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro are tentatively planned to launch in December in China. The devices are said to have V2338A and V2339A model numbers, respectively. It is speculated that the Neo 9 will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, whereas the Neo 9 Pro may have the Dimensity 9300 onboard. The other details of the Neo 9 series are yet to be revealed.

The lineup is expected to ship with the Origin OS 4-based Android 14. It is speculated that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered Neo 9 may face competition from other rumored Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phones, such as the Redmi K70, OnePlus Ace 3, Honor 100 series, and Realme GT Neo 6, in the Chinese market.
