A new leak has just surfaced, which revealed some details regarding the camera system on the Huawei Mate 50 series of smartphones. The new lineup consists of flagship grade handsets and will apparently feature 50 megapixel primary camera on the rear.
The news arrives from Digital Chat Station, which is a known tipster who shared the news on Weibo (a Chinese microblogging website). For those unaware, the Chinese tech giant had previously announced that it will be announcing the new high end smartphone series during a launch event on September 6. During this time, the company will likely launch other products as well, but the highlight of this conference is the Huawei Mate 50 series.
Now, the tipster Digital Chat Station revealed earlier today (25th August 2022) that the Mate 50 lineup will feature a 50 megapixel primary camera on the rear. The new image sensor will have a size of 1/1.5 inch and is claimed to be the Sony IMX766 sensor. Furthermore, the new higher end Mate 50 Pro will also feature a variable aperture technology.
The mate 50 series will also feature a telephoto lens that has a 3x, 3.5x, and 5x telephoto zoom lens, Sony IMX688 sensor, OV64B sensor, along with the Sony IMX766 main camera as well. As of right now, this was all the information shared by the tipster and finer details regarding the upcoming series is still at large. So we will have to wait for the official announcement to know more.
Since last year, Huawei has been licensing its consumer electronics products to a telecom equipment manufacturer called TD Tech in China. This firm has so far released multiple Huawei smartphones under its own brand. Unlike Huawei, the same phones sold by TD Tech come with 5G connectivity.
TD Tech P50
Today, the said company took to Weibo to announce yet another handset. This device is officially called TD Tech P50. As the name suggests, it is nothing but a rebranded Huawei P50.
The differences between the original and the new model are that the latter carries support for 5G connectivity and ships with different software. Since TD Tech is more of an enterprise-facing company, it also provides customization for businesses.
Apart from the aforementioned dissimilarities, the TD Tech P50 is essentially a Huawei P50. Therefore, it arrives with a 6.5-inch 10-bit 90Hz OLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, 4,100mAh battery, and 66W fast wired charging support.
The smartphone also houses a triple camera system on its rear. The setup consists of a 50MP primary sensor, 13MP ultra-wide unit, and 12MP 5x telephoto shooter. On the front, it sports a 13MP snapper for selfies and video calls.
TD Tech is yet to reveal the pricing and availability of this handset. The phone will be probably sold in limited quantities, like the previous models from the company.
Over the last couple of days, we have been various reports related to the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra regarding its possible specifications. Now, new information from a reliable source has revealed additional details regarding its rear design.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra
The news arrives from known tipster Ice Universe, who shared the news on Twitter. Looking at the tweet, Ice Universe states that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will launch with the same exact design for the rear camera module as the Galaxy S22 Ultra. In other words, the next gen flagship smartphone will practically be identical to its predecessor, at least from the rear.
Ice Universe further added that “I think this design is good and can continue to be used, it is simple and natural.” This basically means that the P shared camera placements on the top left corner will make a reappearance next year. For those unaware, the Galaxy S22 Ultra had launched to positive reception overall for its entire specs, feature set, design, and the fact that it was practically a Note series model in terms of its functionality.
100% confirmed that the Samsung S23 Ultra will maintain the exact same camera design as the S22 Ultra, I think this design is good and can continue to be used, it is simple and natural. pic.twitter.com/wzZZUEOcIi
There have been other design leaks in recent times, but those typically showcased the design with an entirely revamped camera on the back. Keep in mind that this is still an unconfirmed report as of right now, so take this information with a pinch of salt for now.
Now, the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro 5G has appeared on the GCF certification site hinting at an imminent global launch. The device moniker is also confirmed as “Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro 5G,” which indicates that we will get SIM support with the tablet. It could also come in a WIFI-only variant as well. Lastly, the device will offer Bluetooth 5.2 and run an Android 12L-based operating system out of the box.
OnePlus is apparently planning on entering a new market in the consumer electronics category. The company is claimed to be working on a new monitor, which has a display size of 24 inches.
The news arrives from known tipster Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings), who shared the interesting information on Twitter. Reportedly, this model in question will have a 24 inch display panel. However, the leak did not reveal any other finer details regarding this upcoming new product. On the other hand, the tipster also revealed that the brand will be launching this monitor in the Indian market in the next couple of months.
While this was initially an unconfirmed tweet, a new certification has offered more evidence regarding the existence of a 24 inch monitor. Earlier today (25th August 2022), Mukul Sharma shared another tweet in which he stated that he found multiple models of upcoming OnePlus monitors being listed on a known certification website, which is the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards).
So yes, as I tipped earlier, the OnePlus 24-inch video monitor (multiple models) has received the Indian BIS certification. Launch is imminent. Feel free to retweet.#OnePluspic.twitter.com/7gfyUJDx3f
This includes multiple model numbers like 24FH2A00, 24FH2A01, 24FH2A02, 24FH2A03, and 24FH2A004. In other words, the launch of the new monitors could be earlier than expected for the region. Unfortunately, this is all the information we have at this moment regarding the new monitors, so stick around for more updates.
Our life story revolves around people and conversations. Whether it’s spending precious moments with family, friends, and loved ones or communicating in a million-dollar meeting, our verbal communication and words hold a lot of power. However, it is said that people only remember a third of what they hear. And so it is important to capture these precious words and sounds in a way that you don’t forget them later.
The best way to capture sound and audio is by using a voice recorder. Nowadays almost every smartphone comes with some kind of sound recorder. But these in-built recorders are generally of low and subpar quality. Moreover, an incoming call or message can easily interrupt your recording and make you miss out on important information. So it is better to have a separate voice recorder to avoid interruptions and glitches.
To solve this issue, iZYREC has created the smallest and easy-to-use digital voice recorder. The iZYREC voice recorder is an ultra-compact, lightweight and portable voice recorder that allows you to discreetly capture crystal clear audio anytime and anywhere. The recorder comes with advanced features like enhanced sound recording, noise cancellation, long battery life, multiple modes, large memory etc.
iZYREC is a single switch featherlight dual mic recorder that weighs just 18gms and is half the size of a credit card. The device comes with a 450mAh battery that gives you 50 days of usage on stand-by mode with auto recording. When using the voice-activated mode, you get 36 hours of battery life and on the continuous recording mode, you get 24 hours of usage.
The device features triple modes viz. continuous recording, voice-activated recording, and standby mode with an auto recording function. This means you can use iZYREC for different scenarios like meetings, voice memos, interviews, lecture notes, collecting evidence, storing sudden ideas and thoughts, etc.
iZYREC comes with HD microphones placed on both sides and a 360-degree Hi-Fi sound pick-up that gives you up to 7m of recording distance. The device features cutting-edge filters that cancel background noise and enhance the voice quality of your recording. It comes with 32GB EMMC storage space that can store up to 240 hours of recorded audio.
A single switch slide button is used to start and stop the recording. Once done you can easily listen to your recording using a smartphone, tablet, or PC of your choice. The device is also the world’s first iPhone-compatible voice recorder. iZYREC supports file transfers using USB-C and Wi-Fi. It also supports OTG direct file management for Android devices.
The iZYREC app which can be used to listen to the audio comes with easy control and playback functions. The highlight feature of the app is the ‘Tap To Mark’ function that gives you a sound wave graph based on which you can decide the parts of the recording that you wish to listen to.
iZYREC voice recorder is magnetic and can be attached to any magnetized surface. Also, it comes with a detachable magnetic back clip that can be used to attach the device to your top, dress, shirt collar, etc
iZYREC mini voice recorder is now available on Kickstarter. The device comes with a price tag of $99. However early bird pledgers can get the device at a massively discounted price of $59 only. So if you are planning to buy the recorder or are interested in knowing more about the device, brand and project then check out their project page here.
The upcoming Google Pixel 7 series smartphones are rumored to debut in October this year. A couple of months ahead of the rumored launch, the device has started appearing on certification databases like REL Canada. And now, the Pixel 7 device has appeared on Singapore’s IMDA database.
Spotted by tipster Mukul Sharma, the certification reveals that the Pixel 7 will come with 5G, 4G, and 3G connectivity options.
Google Pixel 7 IMDA certification
Additionally, Bluetooth, NFC, and wireless charging will also be available on the device. Other than that, the listing does not reveal any further specifications. So, let’s take a look at what’s known so far about the Pixel 7 series smartphones.
Google Pixel 7 series specs
We know that the Pixel 7 series will look nearly identical to the Pixel 6 series. The Pixel 7 will have dual cameras, while the Pixel 7 Pro will have triple cameras. The phones are expected to include a 50MP main camera (Samsung GN1) as well as a 13MP ultrawide camera (Sony IMX38). The 7 Pro will also come with a 48MP telephoto camera (Samsung GM1). On both variants, the front camera is believed to have a 10.87MP (Samsung 3J1) sensor.
The Pixel 7 will have a 6.4-inch 90Hz screen, while the Pixel 7 Pro will have a 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED display. The two phones will also have the latest Google Tensor processor, which will be unveiled soon. In terms of the operating system, we should expect both devices to ship with Android 13.0.
A recent report revealed that a Motorola phone with an XT2255 model number has been approved by the FCC authority. The device will be heading to the market with the Moto G72 4G moniker. A new report by Pricebabahas revealed the key specifications of the device. It also reveals that the device will be launched as early as September in India.
Moto G72 4G specifications (rumored)
The new report reveals that the Moto G72 4G will be equipped with a forthcoming MediaTek SoC or the Helio G37 chipset. The chipset will be coupled with 6 GB / 8 GB of RAM. It will offer up to 4 GB of extended RAM.
The G72 will be equipped with a 16-megapixel selfie camera. Its rear panel will have a 48-megapixel main snapper. It will be assisted by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel depth-sensing unit.
The device will arrive with a 5,000mAh battery. It will carry support for 33W rapid charging. The report also mentions that the device is codenamed “Victoria22”, and its Indian edition has an XT2255-2 model number.
At present, there is no word on the Moto G72 4G. The FCC certification of the device revealed that it may arrive with 33W fast charging support.
The Moto G72 4G will likely debut after the Edge series flagships, which are scheduled to launch on Sept. 8 in India. The upcoming launch event is likely for three devices, such as the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, the Edge 30 Fusion, and the Edge 30 Lite.
Xiaomi will debut the Redmi Note 11 SE in India tomorrow (August 26). Ahead of that, the company has already revealed almost everything about this handset, except for its pricing. The details were disclosed on the firm’s official website. Apparently, the listing of the phone also reveals an interesting tidbit.
Redmi Note 11 SE
The official listing of the yet-to-release Redmi Note 11 SE on Mi.com hints that the smartphone may ship without a charger (via MySmartPrice). There’s no mention of ‘Adpater’ in the ‘Package Contents’ section.
As of now, It’s not known whether this is a typo or actual fact. The company hasn’t teased it either. However, we cannot rule out the possibility.
If this is true, then the Redmi Note 11 SE will be the first budget smartphone from Xiaomi to ship without a charger. Currently, the Realme Narzo 50A Prime and select Samsung budget smartphones are the only ones that come with no charger in the box in this price segment.
Talking about the Redmi Note 11 SE, it is nothing but a rebranded Redmi Note 10S from last year. Xiaomi has made no changes to the device. It will even arrive in the same color options but the names could be different.
What’s worse is that despite launching in the second half of 2022, the phone will ship with Android 11-based MIUI 12.5. The original model currently runs MIUI 13 based on Android 12. We are baffled why Xiaomi has decided not to include the new software.

Earlier this year, Vivo launched the X80 lineup of flagship smartphones, out of which, the Vivo X80 Pro became one of the highest praised flagship smartphones of 2022 and a genuine contender for the best camera system on a smartphone.
Now, a GSMArena report citing industry sources reveals that a new X-series device is on its way to launch in September. The report mentions that it won’t be an iterative upgrade over the existing X80 models. So, we are likely looking at the rumored Vivo X80 Pro+.
A couple of months back, we reported that the Vivo X80 Pro+ might debut around the month of October. The device is said to have the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset rather than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC featured in the X80 Pro. For those unaware, the newer Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset is based on TSMC’s 4nm process and boasts up to 30% energy efficiency over its predecessor. It also runs relatively cooler that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, which is known to have numerous thermal management issues.
Vivo X80 Pro
The device is expected to have a quad-camera array consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 48-megapixel Sony IMX598 sensor, a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 sensor, and a 50-megapixel Samsung JN2 sensor.

The listing reveals that the upcoming ROG Phone 6D scored 291,317 points for CPU, which is around 15 percent higher than the Qualcomm Snapdragon series chipset. In GPU, MEM, and UX testing, it scored 430,867, 218,270, and 206,140 points respectively.
The flagship ASUS ROG Phone 6D smartphone with model number ASUS_AI2203 has already passed through the 3C certification processor which has revealed that the device will come with support for 65W fast charging.

Apple has finally confirmed that its next launch event will be held on Wednesday, September 7 inside the company’s Apple Park campus. The event will be live streamed on the company’s website and YouTube at 10:00 AM PT.
The event will obviously center around the iPhone 14 series, which will consist of four models. These are the vanilla iPhone 14, the iPhone 14 Max, the iPhone 14 Pro, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max. The Max model will replace the iPhone mini from the lineup and will essentially be similar to the vanilla iPhone 14, but with a large 6.7-inch display.
The Pro models will get an update to the camera notch, which will now feature a punch hole and a pill-shaped cutout instead of the large notch currently featured in the iPhone 13 models. The 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max models are also expected to come with an always-on display feature, new A16 Bionic chipsets, and a 48-megapixel primary camera. The vanilla and Max models on the other hand are expected to retain the A14 Bionic chipsets. All models will get a new autofocus front camera.
Other than the smartphones, Apple is also expected to debut new smartwatches on September 7. So far, rumors suggest that three new Apple Watch models are in development: the Series 8 model, the upgraded SE model, and the all-new Pro model, which is anticipated to have a larger body, an updated look, and a more robust design.
There are also rumors the upgraded iPad Pro model is in the works, but this device will likely be launched in October alongside the new Macs.
I put the SIM card into the MIX Fold 2 for a few days, and I found it to be a phone that I both love and hate. It has a lot of advantages, but it also has a lot of things that make me feel terrible. In this review, let’s talk about the MIX Fold 2 and how I feel about it in the past few days.
The biggest advantage of MIX Fold 2 is thickness, and the biggest disadvantage is also thickness. Although Xiaomi has been stressing that the MIX Fold 2 is the thinnest foldable phone, the thickness of 5mm after unfolding is indeed thinner than other foldable phones. It’s like holding a piece of hard cardboard, it is very comfortable whether I am using it one-handed or two-handed. But after closing the thickness is 11mm, which is very uncomfortable.
You may not know that foldable phone users spend most of their time using the outside screen, plus the 262g weight and super slippery frosted back cover, it’s really hard to operate with one hand. I feel like I’m holding a brick and my pinky finger is bound to break. If this is the lightest, thinnest foldable phone grip experience, then this problem must be more serious for other foldable phones. So I do not recommend users who like to operate the phone with one hand buy any foldable phone.
Video Ratio
Okay, you must think that the foldable phone is in its perfect form after expansion, then it may have to let you down. Because of the limitation of the screen ratio, most web video is actually not much bigger than the normal phone. The longer the screen ratio, the smaller the gap. Especially for movies, whether you use the outside screen or the inside one, it is the same size image.
APP adaptation
Besides watching videos, you will also not be able to enjoy the advantages of a large screen in your daily use because of the APP adaptation. Users who have purchased an Android tablet should know that APPs that the developer has not optimized is not experience-friendly on the tablet. In theory, you can use the large screen to display more content, but in reality, you only get a stretched UI. We downloaded 9 popular apps, and only 3 of them actually made good use of the big screen.
The only good thing about this big screen is multitasking, especially the Floating windows feature, which allows me not to miss any highlights when replying to messages. And the operation logic is so elegant that you can do everything with just one bar. I really like Xiaomi’s floating windows, compared to the split screen feature which is not so good. For example, it can only split the screen into left and right parts, not the top and bottom parts. This makes it very difficult for me to watch videos.
Hinges
When it comes to reviewing a foldable phone, there is no way to avoid the problem of hinges and folds. To make the MIX Fold 2 thin and light enough, the hinge has been simplified a lot. As I said in the Unboxing video, there is no way to keep it at a certain angle. Even if it happens to stay at one angle, Xiaomi didn’t make any features for it. The only thing that makes the hinge better than the Samsung Z Fold series is probably that there is no gap at the hinge after it is closed.
The creases are also average for a foldable phone, and I can’t see the creases in normal use anyway. In fact, this part rarely gets touched in daily use, so people who want to buy a folding phone really do not have to worry about the crease problem. This time we still tried to write on the MIX Fold 2 with the Xiaomi Pad Stylus. Just like what we expected, it really doesn’t support any stylus, so those who like stylus can consider buying the Samsung Z fold 4.
Gaming
The gaming experience on MIX Fold 2 also has its good points and bad points. There are games such as PUBG, where the unique screen ratio allows it to expand the field of view and make your chicken dinner come a little easier. There is nothing to complain about except for the fact that 90fps mode is not yet supported.
But there are games such as Genshin where the field of view narrows instead, like playing a game with a Magnifier. The picture clarity is much worse than the iPad mini 6. If you don’t unfold the phone to play the game, the frame rate decreases due to temperature increase and it is very hot. But if you unfold the phone, the main heating area is on the other side, my hands can not even touch that part, so this experience is good.
For such a thin phone, this frame rate performance is barely above the pass line, at least the game can run smoothly with reduced graphics. But Genshin Impact’s resolution on this phone is already low, and if you lower the resolution plus this zoomed-in image, your eyes might go blind. So am I giving it a good or poor rating for the gaming experience? I don’t know, I’ll leave this judgment call for you to make.
Camera
To be honest, the camera system of MIX Fold 2 is actually quite average and nothing special. The overall level of its camera system is probably somewhere between the Xiaomi 12S and 12S Pro. The main camera IMX 766 performs well most of the time, as long as it is not pitch dark it gets good photos.
Main camera

The remaining two lenses are at the level of a $500 phone. The good thing is that the algorithm is good, so the color and dynamic range are good. But once you zoom in on the photo, the drawbacks are exposed. The white balance of the three lenses is also different, which is not created by the LEICA Authentic mode because I switch back to LEICA Vibrant and it’s the same. If you unfold the phone to take a picture, the sharpness of the viewfinder will be reduced, but of course, the picture is still clear.
Ultra wide & 2x Camera
1 of 5
The only thing I’m glad about is that all three lenses support 4k 30fps and the ability to switch lenses during recording. All in all, for a phone that takes superb photos, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra is definitely the better choice.
The MIX Fold 2 only has a front camera on the outside screen. As you know, Xiaomi’s front camera hasn’t been performing well except for the Civi series. But the foldable phone can use the rear camera to take selfies, so it doesn’t matter if the front camera is good or not.

Google services
People often ask: Does this phone support Google services? Well, as Xiaomi’s most expensive phone, of course it does. You just need to turn on Basic Google services in Setting, and GMS will work just fine. In fact, not only MIX Fold 2, almost all other Xiaomi phones can use GMS normally. For the record, normally all the phones we have reviewed can use all Google APPs. If some phones don’t, we will remind you in the video, so don’t worry.
As a foldable phone, the MIX Fold 2 is excellent. Although there are some missing features, but in exchange for the super light and super thin body, I think it is worth it. As a phone, it clearly flunked. I spent more money and got less features and experience than a regular flagship phone, which is ridiculous. All foldable phones have the same problem, so I wouldn’t recommend buying a foldable phone until you’re a millionaire. If you are, then the MIX Fold 2 might be a good choice.
Apple announced the latest iOS 16 operating system for the Apple iPhone models at its Worldwide Developers’ Conference a couple of months back. Since then, the company has released several developer builds and public beta versions of the software.
Now, in the latest development, the Cupertino-based tech giant has rolled out the fifth public beta version of the iOS 16 operating system, which is most likely the final public beta before the official rollout of the stable version.
The fifth public beta of the iOS 16, along with the iPadOS 16, comes just a week after the company released the fourth public beta, corresponding with the seventh developer beta version of the operating system.
The new iOS 16 from Apple comes with several new features, including a revamped Lock Screen with support for customizations of wallpapers, time, and widgets. It also allows multiple lock screens, which can also be linked to Focus modes.
Apart from the major changes to the design of the OS and new features, the first-party apps have also received several new features and improved functionalities, including Messages, FaceTime, Safari, and more.
If you haven’t enrolled in the public beta testing program, then you can sign up through Apple’s website. The operating system is still under development, so the beta builds may have stability issues. But, the company is expected to roll out the stable version of iOS 16 in the coming weeks.

Samsung is definitely the king of the foldable phone niche: there is no brand that can compete at the moment. Its foldable reached the 4th generation and there is no company that arrived at this point. But several Chinese manufacturers released their foldable phones and they are perfectly able to compete with the latest ones launched by the Korean giant. A few days ago, Samsung launched the brand new Galaxy Z Fold4 which debuted in the global market. Xiaomi on its end came up with the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2, and it is another flagship foldable phone with incredible specifications. At least for now, this device is not global, but while waiting for an eventual global launch, we can give you the first conclusions. Here is a comparison between the main specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 and the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2.

Samsung made a lot of progress with the hinges of its foldable phones, but even if we exclude that, the design of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 is more convincing. Indeed, it is a lot more compact than the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2, and given the success of the OPPO Find N, it is kinda clear that people prefer foldable phones able to become very compact while folded. It also looks like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 has a better build quality. It is waterproof with the IPX8 certification and it comes with an aluminum frame with tougher drop and scratch resistance compared to the previous generation. The Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 has wider displays, but it is bigger and chunkier, even though it is thinner while unfolded. So do you prefer a bigger display or a more compact foldable phone?
Display
As already mentioned, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 has wider displays, but what about the quality and the features? Well, the foldable display of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 is more interesting. It is a 7.6-inch panel with AMOLED technology, a 120 Hz refresh rate, a better hinge, and the HDR10+ certification. Last but not least, it supports the S Pen for handwriting and drawing to behave like a real Galaxy Note. The Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 is all but disappointing: it has a wider 8.02-inch panel with OLED technology, the LTPO 2.0 technology enabling an adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz, one billion colors, Dolby Vision support, and the HDR10+ certification. The Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 wins if we talk about external display, thanks to a 6.56-inch AMOLED panel sporting a Full HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

The chip is paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. Note that Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 runs Android 12L: a customized version of Android made for devices with big screens. The Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 has the optimized MIUI Fold based on the original Android 12.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 wins the camera comparison. It has a triple camera setup on the rear side composed of a 50 MP main sensor with OIS, a 10 MP telephoto lens with OIS and 3x optical zoom, and an ultrawide sensor with a 12 MP resolution. It also comes with two front cameras: one on the foldable display with a 10 MP resolution and one on the external display with a 4 MP resolution.
