Three new Oppo phones emerge on the FCC certification: Specs & design revealed

Oppo recently launched the F21 Pro and F21 Pro 5G in the Indian market. Both phones come with a slightly similar design and are priced above Rs. 20,000 in India. It appears that the company has more lower-range phones in the pipeline as three new Oppo models have now been spotted on the FCC certification website.

The upcoming Oppo smartphones have the model number Oppo CPH2385, CPH2339, and CPH2387 (via MySmartPrice). All three models are expected to come in the mid or lower-range segment in different markets.

Oppo CPH2385

The FCC certification confirms that the CPH2385 sports a dual-camera system. The setup will consist of a 50MP main lens and a 2MP depth sensor. The device will pack a 5,000mAh battery and boot on ColorOS 12.1 out of the box. Furthermore, it has the following measurements – 163.74 x 75.03 x 7.99mm. The phone will weigh 190 grams.

Oppo CPH2339

Coming to the CPH2339, the smartphone packs the same 5,000mAh battery and boots on ColosOS 12.1 out of the box. The phone’s 5G bands have been revealed and it has the n5, n7, n38, and n41 5G bands.

Unfortunately, the fast charging speeds and other details of two of these phones haven’t been listed yet. However, the third phone’s fast charging speed has been revealed.

Oppo CPH2387

The third phone with model number CPH2387 is said to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. That being said, we can expect the above two models to bag a similar charging speed.

Moreover, the phone’s images have also been listed. The smartphone sports two large cutouts at the back. It has a dual-camera system with a 13MP main lens and a 2MP secondary sensor. We get to see that the device has a water-drop notch panel and features a Black color. It also has dual-SIM and microSD card support.

With the FCC certification done, these phones are expected to launch sooner this year.

Apple had announced a new service that surprised everyone. It had launched a new self repair service program for some of its iPhones and Macs. Now, the company has included additional models of its iPhones within this program.

For those unaware, the new Self Repair Service was launched by the Cupertino based giant in the US. This allowed users to purchase genuine products from the company’s website and then repair the device from an official manual guidelines. The program now includes the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 series device, along with the iPhone SE (3rd generation). So now, people looking to repair their devices by themselves by purchasing the parts from the Apple Self Service Repair Store.

Notably, the program is also quite helpful for those that are most experienced in repairing electronic devices. On the repair store, users have the option to purchase a spare display, camera, and even battery pack as well. Furthermore, the company also plans on launching a repair program that will include manuals, parts, and tools for repairs on Mac computers with the brand’s proprietary chipsets.

Keep in mind that you should review the repair manual for the product you wish to repair before placing an order on the website. Apart from this, Apple is also offering tool rental kits for 49 US Dollars, which let customers use them for a week and eventually returning it. This kit will be shipped free of cost as well. At the moment, the self repair program is limited to just the US, but the brand has plans to expand it to other regions like Europe later this year.

Over the last couple of weeks, we have reported on various rumors and reports regarding the Google Pixel Watch. Now, the latest sighting of the company’s first smartwatch might have been on a known certification website.

For those unaware, the Search Engine giant’s smartwatch is codenamed “Rohan”. Its live images were also recently revealed after someone “accidentally” left the device in a restaurant. Now, MySmartPrice recently spotted a couple of unnamed Google devices on Bluetooth SIG certification website. These devices carried the model numbers GWT9R, GBZ4S, and GQF4C. The report added that these listings might be the SKUs for the upcoming Pixel Watch, which also hints that its announcement is just around the corner.

As per the Bluetooth SIG listing, the device name is mentioned as the “WearOS Bluetooth Host Subsystem,” which further hints at it actually being the Pixel Watch. As of right now, finer details regarding the upcoming Pixel Watch is still at large, although, the previously leaked live images showcased the device with a circular display that has minimal bezels. Furthermore, it is expected to arrive in two color options, including a Black and Silver model, which will launch along with 20 watchbands as well.

We can also expect the modern health related systems like step tracking, heart monitoring, SpO2 blood oxygen mapping, and even sleep tracking as well. But unfortunately, Google has yet to confirm any of these features so far. So stay tuned for more updates.

The e-bike has a 1000W motor, 48V/15Ah battery, and boasts 130km of mileage in power-assisted mode. The XF200 comes with a lightweight aluminium alloy frame and offers a high-quality suspension for shock absorption. Its speed is limited to 25km/h but riders can remove the limiter to go up to 40km/h in just 4.9 seconds. The e-bike features Hydraulic disc brakes on both the front and rear tires and has a Shimano 7-speed gear system for manual and power-assisted operation.

Chinese carmaker Geely wins patent for two smartphone models

Last year, rumors had surfaced regarding Geely planning on launching a new brand that will focus on smartphones. However, this news was never confirmed by the company. But now, a new report has revealed that the company has achieved a patent for a smartphone.

According to a 163 report, the known Chinese carmaker is working on diversifying its operations outside of just automobiles. Apparently, one of these efforts would be focused towards smartphones. As per local media reports, the company had applied for two smartphone patents, which have now been granted. The patents in question highlights the main purpose of its design product.

Furthermore, the upcoming Geely smartphone features a punch hole selfie cut out on the display. On the other hand, the two patents feature a rear camera module that have different shapes and sizes. Although, both models feature a triple camera setup that is aligned in a triangular format. The first patented model has a large circular module on the rear, while the second model has a squarish module on the back panel. Interestingly, some netizens in China approved of this smartphone design.

As of right now, it is unknown if the company is actually working on such a product or is just simply covering all bases. However, based on our past reports, it is highly likely that Geely has smartphones planned to release in the future. Back in January 2022, we had even reported on the company possibly acquiring the Chinese smartphone brand Meizu. so it won’t be a surprise if the deal actually goes through.

The new device was teased on the company’s official Weibo (a Chinese microblogging website) account, which also shared an image poster. Looking at this picture, we can see that the handset is powered by a large 4,700mAh battery pack that supports dual cell 80W flash charging support. As per official claims, the iQOO Neo 6 SE can be fully charged to 100 percent in just 30 minutes.

Furthermore, the Chinese smartphone maker also claimed that it has an excellent battery life thanks to improved power efficiency. So, one can play 24 matches of Honor of Kings, or watch videos/movies for up to 19 hours. As of right now, the device is already available for registrations. It is a high end model that is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC that is paired with an overclock UFS 3.1 storage and UFS Deep Defragmentation 2.0 technology as well.

As per per our previous report, the iQOO Neo 6 SE may sport a 6.62 inch FHD+ OLED display that has a punch hole camera cutout. Overall its specifications are quite similar to the Neo 6, which is powered by the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The smartphone is set to be unveiled on 6th May 2022 in China. Realme had just recently launched the Narzo 50A Prime in India. And now, a new report has suggested that the company is planning on releasing another model within the Narzo 50 series.

According to a 91Mobiles report, the Chinese smartphone maker is planning on announcing the Narzo 50 5G for the Indian market next month. The news arrives from industry sources close to the matter that have revealed some key information regarding the upcoming device, including its storage and memory configurations, along with its color options as well. Reportedly, the new smartphone will be offered in three storage configurations, including a 4GB + 64GB, 4GB + 128GB, and a 6GB + 128GB variant.

Furthermore, it will also be available in two color options as well, namely Hyper Black and Hyper Blue models. As of right now, finer details regarding the new Narzo 50 5G is still unknown, however, we can expect the device to feature a 50 megapixel primary camera and be powered by a large 5,000mAh battery pack that supports fast charging. The display is likely a FHD+ panel and the phone could run on Android 12 OS based Realme UI 3.0 out of the box.

OnePlus has unveiled the OnePlus 10R in India, signalling the release of the premium mid-range model for the global market. The OnePlus 10R is the same as the OnePlus Ace that was launched in China last week except for a few features that are not available on the Indian version.

The OnePlus 10R has a 6.7-inch OLED FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. In addition, the display supports a 360Hz touch sampling rate and a 720Hz gaming touch sampling rate.

The OnePlus 10R is a mid-range offering going by its Dimensity chipset and sports a new design quite distinct from previous OnePlus smartphones. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100-MAX chipset and features a monster 150W fast charging. The phone comes with enhanced handling capabilities with its 2.5D step processing subtle edge arc. It has a flat-edged frame with rounded corners with the rear panel having a mixture of two colors. The triple camera and LED flash are housed in the top left part of the back panel and looks unique.

The OnePlus 10R comes in three memory options instead of four on the Ace. There is an 8GB+128GB option, as well as a 12GB+128GB and 12GB+512GB options. The premium smartphone is be available in two color options namely Sierra black and light blue. OnePlus has included an independent graphics chip to complement the onboard graphics which is important in gaming applications. The OnePlus 10R thus boasts of high in-game frame rates with the certified HyperBoost stabilization engine.

The OnePlus 10R triple camera setup has a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. The front-facing camera is a 16MP lens.

The OnePlus 10R runs on Android 12-based OxygenOS 12.1 and it comes with a 4,500mAh battery. The battery can be recharged at 150W SuperVOOC fast charging via USB-C. It can thus be fully charged within 17 minutes.

It should be noted that the 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB options pack a 5000mAh battery and supports only 80W fast charging. The 150W fast charging support is only for the 12GB+512GB option.In addition, OnePlus says the battery has the TUV Rheinland certification of safe fast charging. The battery is also claimed to retain up to 80% of its potential after 4 years. Bluetooth 5.2, 5G, dual 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, GPS, and NFC are all supported in the OnePlus 10R. User security is enhanced with an in-display fingerprint reader. The 10R also comes with a vapor chamber with a large cooling area.

Pricing & Availability

As for the pricing details, the OnePlus 10R starts at Rs 38,999 (~$508) for the 8GB+128GB model with 80W fast charging. The 12GB+256GB option also packing 80W charging is priced at Rs 42,999 (~$560). Finally, the 12GB+512GB version with 150W SuperVOOC flash charging carries a price tag of Rs 43,999 (~$574). The premium device will be sold via OnePlus’ website, Amazon, Reliance stores, Chroma stores, and select partner stores starting May 4 at 12 noon.

In a recent video, Yu Chengdong, Huawei BG & smart car solutions CEO, shared more information regarding the Mate Xs 2’s design and colors, along with some details regarding its smartphone operations. First, he talks about how the production capacity and supply chain for its handsets has improved, after the company faced many difficulties with the supply chain. Meaning, the Chinese tech giant’s smartphones and other products can be purchased again, without any issue related to inventory or stock.

One of the key highlights of the video was the part where he talked about the upcoming foldable flagship handset. For those unaware, the Mate Xs 2 is the company’s latest foldable model, which is expected to arrive with various improvements over the last generation. Yu Chengdong stated that some of the early foldable phone models were bulky and not resistant to fall damage. But, these issues are not there in the Mate Xs 2. Furthermore, its thickness and weight is quite close to a regular smartphone now. He also added that drop resistance and robustness has improved as well, with the screen being basically crease free as well.

Moving forward, the executive talked about the latest breakthrough’s in technology and innovations of the company. This includes breakthrough in WiFi technology, with its wireless speeds being several times faster than its competition. He even briefly talked about the Watch GT 3 Pro and the Huawei Smart Screen V Pro as well. But he arrived back to the Mate Xs 2, to showcase its design and color options. The new foldable phone will be available in 3 color variants, including a Black, Purple, and Off White models.

ZTE will be taking off the covers of the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra on May 9 in China. The lineup is likely to include at least two models, such as the Axon 40 and Axon 40 Ultra. Today, the Chinese manufacturer confirmed the rear camera capabilities of the device.

The company confirmed today that the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra’s back panel is fitted with three 64-megapixel cameras. The setup will comprise a custom-made 64-megapixel main camera, a custom-made 64-megapixel ultrawide snapper, and a 4-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. All three cameras are capable of capturing 8K videos.

OPPO Reno8 real-life image spotted, key details emerge

OPPO Reno8 real-life image has been leaked. At the same time, the device has been approved by the 3C authority of China. It appears that the Reno8 series may launch as early as May in the homeland.

Popular Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station has shared the above-shown image of the Reno8. The tipster hasn’t mentioned the name of the device explicitly. However, the information that has surfaced through the leak is a good hint that it is the vanilla model from the upcoming Reno8 lineup.

The purported Reno8 retains the punch-hole display design from its predecessor model. The snapshot also reveals that it is powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 7-series chipset. It is a 4nm chip featuring 4 x Cortex A710 CPU cores clocking at 2.36GHz, 4 x Cortex A510 CPU cores running at 1.80GHz, and an Adreno 662 GPU. The chipset is expected to debut in May with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 name. RedmI have it that the Reno8 will be the first device to arrive with SD7G1.

OPPO Reno8 3C certified

Previous reports have claimed that the model number of the OPPO Reno8 is PGAM10. The device is popped up in the 3C’s database with an 11V/7.3A charger, which indicates that it will carry support for 80W rapid charging.

Honor unveiled its new Play-series smartphones — Honor Play 6T and Honor Play 6T Pro earlier this month. Recently, the device was made available for pre-order in the company’s home market China.

Now, the 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage model of the Honor Play 6T Pro smartphone is available for purchase in the Chinese market. The smartphone is priced at 1,399 yuan which roughly converts to $213 and comes in three color options — Titanium Silver, Midnight Black, and Rose Gold.

The Honor Play 6T Pro features a 6.7-inch IPS LCD display that offers 1080 x 2388 pixels screen resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 93.6 percent screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor and packs up to 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.

In the camera department, the phone features a dual-camera setup on the back that includes a 48-megapixel AI primary sensor which uses a 1/2-inch outsole and has a single pixel size of 0.8um, and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. Two Redmi devices with model numbers 22041216C and 22041216UC were recently certified by the TENAA authority of China. While initial reports claimed that these were the Redmi Note 12 series of smartphones, Chinese tipsters have claimed that both models may debut as the Redmi Note 11T series of smartphones. While the monikers of these Redmi phones are yet to be confirmed, these devices have now bagged approval from China’s 3C authority. These certifications indicate that it won’t take too long for the next Redmi Note series of smartphones to go official.

Alleged Redmi Note 11T, Note 11 Pro receive 3C certification

The 3C certification of the Redmi 22041216C phone reveals that it may come with a 67W fast charger. On the other hand, the 3C listing of the Redmi 22041216UC reveals that it may carry support for 120W fast charging. Both phones also carry support for 5G connectivity.

The previously seen TENAA listings have revealed that both phones measure 163.64 x 74.29 x 8.8mm and house a 6.6-inch display. Both smartphones will come preinstalled with the Android 12 OS.

The Redmi 22041216C has a 4,980mAh (rated value) battery, which may support 67W fast charging. On the other hand, the Redmi 22041216UC may house a 4,300mAh (rated value) battery. This device is expected to support 120W fast charging.

Rumors have it that the Redmi Note 11T Pro series will be powered by the Dimensity 1300 chipset. The other details of the lineup are currently under wraps. The TENAA listings of both smartphones are expected to be updated with full specifications and images in the next few days. The company may unveil it in May in China.

Samsung is reportedly working on the successor to the Galaxy A03s entry-level smartphone. Well-known tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer (aka OnLeaks) has collaborated with GizNext to give the first look at the Galaxy A04s. Here is all the information that has surfaced through the CAD renders of the smartphone.

The Galaxy A04s renders show that it will sport a waterdrop notch display on the front. The leak reveals that the device is equipped with a 6.5-inch display, like its predecessor. Considering that it is an entry-level device, it may continue to support HD+ resolution.

The rear view of the Galaxy A04s reveals that it will be arriving with a slightly tweaked back panel. Like before, it has vertically aligned triple rear cameras. Instead of the camera module, only the lenses from the rear shell. Unfortunately, there is no information on the camera configurations of the Galaxy A04s.

The bottom edge of the Galaxy A04s has a speaker grille, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The power button located on the right edge of the phone is integrated with a fingerprint scanner. A SIM card slot seems to be located on the left spine of the device. The leak states that the Galaxy A04s measure 164.15 x 76.5 x 9.18mm. Hopefully, the rumor mill will spill the other details of the smartphone in the coming days.

On Sunday (April 24), OPPO announced the OPPO K10 5G and K10 Pro 5G in China. As scheduled, both smartphones are now available for purchase in the home market starting today (April 28). Here is all the information on the pricing and specifications of the K10 lineup.

The OPPO K10 5G comes in three options such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage for 1,999 Yuan (~$305), 2,199 Yuan (~$335), and 2,499 Yuan (~$381) . It comes in Dark Night and Ice Blue colors.

The OPPO K10 Pro 5G also comes in the same configurations as the vanilla model. Its variants are priced at 2,499 Yuan (~$381), 2,799 Yuan (~$426), and 3,199 Yuan (~$488). It comes in Titanium Black and Clear Blue colors.

OPPO is a relatively new brand in the smart TV market, having a presence in this category for less than years now. But the company has been expanding its portfolio and recently launched the OPPO Smart TV K9x 65-inch in its home country China.

Today, the newly announced OPPO Smart TV K9x 65-inch is officially available for purchase in the Chinese market. It is priced at 2,199 yuan which roughly converts to $335.

The OPPO K9x 65-inch Smart TV features a 65-inch LCD 4K display with a screen resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels. It also comes with support for a 60Hz refresh rate, 1 billion colors, 70% NTSC color gamut, 280nit brightness, and delta E≈2.

Internally, the product is powered by a quad-core MediaTek processor, which is paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The chipset brings support for dual-band Wi-Fi among other connectivity options.

The TV is also equipped with built-in 2-unit speakers having a 20W power rating. It also features support for Dolby sound and can be used as a screen sound. It has a self-developed AI PQ algorithm that supports frame-by-frame optimization of image quality in all scenes and has a display-level color accuracy in the same range as flagship TVs.

As for the software, the TV runs the latest ColorOS TV and one of the major highlights of the TV is that there is no boot advertisement. It also brings support for mobile phone and Pad screen projection and supports up to four mobile phones for simultaneous projection.

Design

Do you prefer a sober design or do you like original and gaming-centric aesthetics? If your answer is the former, then go for the Motorola Edge 30 Pro. But if you do not mind having an aggressive design, then you should opt for the Xiaomi POCO F4 GT. First of all, this handset comes with premium materials, unlike the Motorola Edge 30 Pro: it has a glass back and an aluminum frame. Further, it has two physical magnetic pop-up gaming triggers which can be extracted from the phone during the most competitive gaming sessions. The Motorola Edge 30 Pro has a water repellent design, but unfortunately, it is made of polycarbonate.

Display

The displays of these two phones are very close and it is hard to establish which one provides the best quality. The POCO F4 GT has a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a Full HD+ resolution, one billion colors, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and the HDR10+ certification. The Motorola Edge 30 Pro has an OLED panel with the same specifications, except for the fact that it comes with a higher 144 Hz refresh rate. Despite sporting AMOLED panels, both phones are equipped with side-mounted fingerprint readers. They also come with stereo speakers, but the POCO F4 GT has four speakers instead of just two. Note that the panel of the POCO flagship is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus, while the Motorola has Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

Specs & Software

The performance provided by these two flagships should be more or less the same. They are both powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 mobile platform: the best chipset by Qualcomm built at 4 nm and running at a max frequency of 3 GHz. The SoC is paired with up to 12 GB of RAM. Note that the Motorola Edge 30 Pro has a configuration with 512 GB of internal storage, while you can get maximum storage of 256 GB with the POCO F4 GT. The handsets run Android 12 out of the box with a customized user interface on top and they will get at least two major updates.

Camera

The most important advantage of the Motorola Edge 30 Pro over the POCO F4 GT is the camera setup. It has a triple rear camera including a 50 MP main sensor with OIS, a 50 MP ultrawide camera, and a 2 MP depth sensor. It even comes with a stunning 60 MP front camera supporting video recording with a 4K resolution. The POCO F4 GT has an inferior and midrange-class 64 MP main sensor paired with a non-impressive 8 MP ultrawide camera and a 2 MP macro lens.

The battery of the Motorola Edge 30 Pro has a slightly bigger capacity with 4800 mAh and, unlike the POCO F4 GT, it supports wireless charging. On the other hand, the POCO F4 GT comes with a faster charging technology, thanks to a 120W power against just 68W.

As already mentioned above, the starting price of the POCO F4 GT is €599/$630 for the 8/128 GB configuration, while the starting listing price of the Motorola Edge 30 Pro is €799/$843. OnePlus Nord 2 is now receiving OxygenOS 12 Open Beta 1

OnePlus has been pushing out the beta version of OxygenOS 12 (Android 12) for some of its devices. Last time, the OnePlus 8 lineup and the 9R received the open beta releases, and now, the OnePlus Nord 2 is getting the open beta update.

OnePlus has announced the OxygenOS 12 Beta 1 based on Android 12 for the OnePlus Nord 2 models in India. Those who own the phone can try out the beta update and experience it and offer feedback on the OnePlus community.

The update is sized at 4.57GB and is for all Nord 2 models, including the Pac-Man Special Edition. However, OnePlus has stated that the upgrade may remove some of the features on Pac-Man Edition devices. Hence, OnePlus has recommended Pac-Man model owners skip this update for now. But not to worry, as they can update to the new version at a later stage.

What does the update bring?

The update brings a bucket full of features to the phone. The company has mentioned all the key updates on the forum page.
