Lenovo k920 vibe z pro review — Night time shots are amazing!

On August 5^th, two weeks ago, Lenovo officially released VIBE Z2 Pro (K920), a new flagship mobile phone, with 2k screen of 6 inches and 4G model available, which is the second model of Premium VIBE Z series, and also the immediate successor of the last flagship, K910.

VIBE Z2 Pro keeps the metal cover and hard appearance of K910, which looks more quality. Otherwise, except for the update of screen and model, VIBE Z2 Pro also adopts the main webcam of 1600 mega pixels, and provides the wholly new supper camera 4.0, which is excellent in photography, especially photographing at night.

let’s move to the detailed review:

The overall style of the packing box is similar with the last generation K910, with deepness revealed from the darkness, while the VIBE Logo is not hollow out any more, and also chamfer is performed on the outer cover.

The mobilization 4G customization version of this new flagship is issued firstly, and it is officially said that it supports double 4G models of TD-LTE and FDD-LTE, therefore, the China Union 4G version and China Telecom 4G version are expected to be launched in the future.

For the machine color, there are three colors can be chosen for Lenovo VIBE Z2 Pro, Black, Grey and Gold, here is thee black one, which is the deepest model.

Open the packing box, the parameters in the screen paper is: 2k Screen with 6 inches, webcam of 1600 Mpi, Snapdragon 801.

Accessories: SIM Card Drawer, Warranty certificate and pamphlet.

The power adapter applies 5.2V2A, which is faster for charging to batteries of 4000 mAh.

Active the screen, the width for the left and right border is only 1.5 mm, with the screen rate upto 83.5%.

The mobile phone dimension is 156×81.3mm, which is not much convenience for holding by one hand.

The front surface of the VIBE Z2 Pro is simple, a whole glass, except for the webcam and 4G logo, all dark.

At the bottom is three touch control button, backlight is support.

As the update version of K910, VIBE Z2 Pro also applies metal cover, a kind of Mg&Al alloy, which looks hard and quality.

On the metal surface, the 90°cross texture design is adopted, which touches smoothly. And of course, the most highlight is the main webcam.

The webcam looks manly, with four thread nail at the corners, the effect of the 1600 Mpi webcam is expectable.

The VIBE Z2 Pro provides two SIM card slots, here is the China Mobile 4G version, whereas, SIM 1 card slot supports TD-LTE, TD-SCDMA and GSM model, while SIM 2 card slot supports GSM model.

It shall be noticed that the speaker position is not convenient, and easy to be blocked when playing games horizontally.

The chamfering design at the bottom can promote the experience to some extent.

The resolution of Lenovo VIBE Z2 Pro is 2560X1440, with the pixel density upto 490dpi, which is higher than the prevailing 1080P screen.

The smoothness of the screen is quite clear, 6 inches screen brings great visual impact.

Lenovo Z2 Pro supports screen color adjustment, which can be switched under three models, Default, Comfortable and Ultrabright, and provides “Self define” functions, by which the “color tone”, “saturability” and “Contrast” can be adjusted as demanded.

Generally, most people use defaults setting. The following evaluation are under “default model”:

Under default color, it is a little over green.

Leveno uses the new VIBE system, which is more aesthetic and more practical.

The most satisfied part shall be the Lenovo Le Security, in which not only provides virus scanner, advertisement blocking and flow monitoring and other functions.

The wallpaper can be changed by right/left sliding at the screen locking interface, slide upper will unlock, and press the bottom icon and slide upper will enter the related applications.

The icons adopt semitransparent and flattening design.

No secondary APP interface, all icons are on the table and managed by files.

Z2 Pro also supports the Vehicular applications for music media interface, calling refuse, SMS reply, and except the navigation, also supports video recording when driving.

For battery endurance, Lenovo VIBE Z2 Pro is equipped with battery of 4000mAh, and applied visual power saving engine and graphic power saving engine.

After playing HD video for 30 minutes, the power decreased from 71% to 67%, only 4%, standby for 8 hours at night, power decreased 2%.

VIBE Z2 Pro adopts main webcam of 1600 Mpi, and the camera system updates to super camera 4.0 version.

Under “Smart camera” model, click “Setting” to select the ports, which is convenient to adjust.

For the professional player, VIBE Z2 Pro provides detailed configured ports.

Slide at the shutter button, and then pop out the setting interface like Lumia 1020, where the white balance, brightness can be adjusted.

Besides, there are some differences between these two models, for example, the “Art Night View”, “Art HDR” and “Motion Trail” only can be available under Professional model.

The “Stage” in “Art Night View” will decrease the brightness, while the “Indoor dark light” can obtain the daytime view at night.
