The MT6582 is good considering that it’s a low-end product of Mediatek. The screen’s resolution is excellent considering the price. I also liked the ROM size since it allows users to install application with an SD and has 2.6gb for internal storage.
As for what I didn’t like, the camera is terrible (whether in video or photo mode. It’s at the same level as the Lenovo A850. The flash is very weak.

A. User Interface
It looks similar to MIUI and I didn’t have a lot of problems with it. One problem though is that it does not ask if you want to unlock your SIM until you make your first call. In addition, when it starts, there is a message saying that loading stopped when this application is not installed.
The memory is also very good and is enough for you to install an SD card.

The Poulo X606-R1 coming soon: Has a two-sided glass case design, octa-core processor, and 2GB RAM
Poulo recently introduced a new phone that copies OPPO’s R1 series with its two-sided glass design, the Poulo X606-R1. It’s available in black and white. Both versions have gold sidebars. Both the front and back of the X606 are covered by glass (possibly the Corning Gorilla Glass 3). Its measurements are 142.5 x 70.2 x 7.9mm.
There are rumors that the X606 has a 5-inch 1080p screen and uses the MT6592 octa-core chipset. It may also have 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM. and a 5mP/13mP camera. Its operating system is also supposed to be customized.
However, according to the Poulo’s official websie, the X606-R1 has a 5-inch 720p screen and its processor is the quad-core MT6582 chipset. It’s also supposed to have a 8m camera and 1500mha battery, and is supposed to support TD-SCDMA China Mobile 3G internet.
If both the rumors and official reports are not wrong, then high and low versions may be released. We’ll see soon.
White Memo U5S released, only costs 699 RMB (112.14 USD)
ZTE has recently released a white edition of their 3G smart phone, the U5S. Unlike the black and white color scheme used by the China Telecom N5S, it’s completely white except for the silver sidebars giving it a more trendy feeling. While ZTE has not made an official announcement on the U5S’s cost, unexpectedly, it is listed in JD with the cost of only 699 RMB. The U5S is worth considering more than the 599 RMB Q705U which has the same screen ratio as the former but does not have the U5S’ 5.7-inch 720p screen and powerful resolution.
The U5S also uses the MTK6589T quad-core processor which has a main frequency of 1.5GHz. It also has 1GB + 4GB memory and a 1mP/8mP dual-camera. It also runs on a 3200mhA battery and uses the Android 4.2 operating system. It also supports an electric compass, TDS + GSM dual-SIM and Dolby audio.

Lei Jun on the Mi 3’s price drop to 1499 RMB (240.87 USD): Don’t like it? Don’t buy it!
Today, Xiaomi announced that they would hold promotional sales event for the summer. They will lower the Mi 3’s price to 1499 RMB (240.87 USD). As one of the most popular smart phone brands in China right now, anything done by Xiaomi will surely get the public’s attention. This sale sounds like a good idea but might not be popular with some people.
Some suspect that the reason for the price drop is that Xiaomi is selling off the rest of what they have left. It had been selling so well when it was 1999 RMB (321.10 USD) that some even suspect that Xiaomi is secretly trying to sell previously used but restored phones which did not sit well with Lei Jun who posted a sharp response in his Weibo account.
He said, “Seriously? If you don’t like it, don’t buy it. Let those who want to buy it take advantage of this so that I won’t be accused of hunger marketing again.”
The reasons why Xiaomi lowered the price of the Mi 3 from 1699 RMB (273 USD) to 1499 RMB (240.78 USD)
This week, everyone is at home watching the World Cup Series. Weibo is filled with World Cup tags. But Xiaomi has been unwilling to stay out of the limelight. They lowered the price of the Mi 3 from 1699 RMB (273 USD) by two 200 RMB (32.14 USD) in a promotional sale and there’s no need for anyone to rush into stores.
Why would Xiaomi avoid the attention given to the World Cup and choose this moment for their sale? Here is our analysis.
I. Behind Xiaomi’s price drop
Xiaomi usually releases a new device about every August, but the device they’re releasing this time is just the beginning. For some devices being developed, we can only wait for about a month before they can start small-scale tests, and wait until the end of the year for large-scale ones. The reason for the delay of the Mi 3 China Unicom version is because of Qualcomm’s supply of goods.
Around every April is Xiaomi’s golden week. There are no problems with supply and production at this time. Costs for hardware are relatively much lower than the rest of the year. Sales are high and so is the profit made.
It was usually at this time when the competition heated up. Back then, the Mi 1 was challenged by 360 warships. Timid and nervous, the Mi 1 did everything it could to fight.
Xiaomi also lowered the price of the Mi 2, releasing the Mi 2A and Mi 2S.
In June, just two months before they release their new devices, Xiaomi lowered the price of all their devices in stock. So, it should not be surprising that they lowered the price of the Mi 3 from 1699 RMB to 1499 RMB (240.78 USD) at this time.
II. The competition behind Xiaomi’s promotional sale
It should be said that unlike before, the 1499 RMB price is the Mi 3’s price in Xiaomi’s official online store which has an unlimited number of them. Before, whether they cost 1799 RMB or 1299 RMB, people had to rush to buy them.
Not letting customers fight each other for Mi’s phones meant that competition was fierce and that they had a lot in stock. Xiaomi can no longer practice double pricing to make a bigger profit.
Actually, ever since the Mi 1, there has always been competition. First, there was the arrival of Zhong Hongyi. When Xiaomi released the Mi 2, they had to compete with Huawei’s Honor 2 and Lenovo’s K860.
Xiaomi’s true challenge came when they released the Mi 3. The Nubia z5s beat Xiaomi by installing the Qualcomm 800. More rivals have appeared non-stop. The seriousness of the problem is due to the fact that their rivals studied Xiaomi’s policies in double pricing and letting buyers compete with each other.
The ZTE Grand S II costs 1699 RMB (272.64 USD) while the Oneplus costs 1999 RMB (321.21 USD). The Xiaomi’s so-called advantage in price advantage is no longer obvious.
Actually, the Mi 1 was really powerful. It had great hardware and UI. Other than the way it looked and the camera, there was no competition.
By the time the Mi 3 came out, its rivals were already very powerful. For example, there was no way Xiaomi could compete with the Snapdragon 800 and Snapdragon 801, their 2 GB or 3 GB memory, 16 GB to 64 GB flash memory, 13mP IMX214, and 1080P display screens.
At the same time, Gionee, Vivo, and Oppo’s had customized cameras, HiFi, and HTC, which Xiaomi did not have.
As for software, the miui is still in progress but its rivals are already being developed at a faster rate. OPPO’s Color OS and its features are amazing. I won’t review ZTE’s Shenmei but ZTE has very careful with its performance. Vivo, Gionee, Huawei, and Coolpad all have perfect UIs.
When it comes appearance and workmanship, Xiaomi always believed that the best way to design is to have no design. Later, it will be changed to “the best designs are other people’s designs.” This is will happen when their weaknesses appear in their hardware and software.
III. Xiaomi’s future
The number of phones created by Xiaomi has grown rapidly over the last several years. It has become a king in the smart phone industry. However, the smart phone industry is starting to come of age.
It’s the beginning of homogenization for smart phones. Other than its first two years, Xiaomi has not had great competitive strength.
Xiaomi will probably make cell phones at a slower rate. If they don’t release a winner into the market, then they will have to find another way to grow. They could try selling their products in the international market.

The OnePlus One is actually NOT Waterproof
So now apparently the OnePlus One is waterproof? It was only a few weeks ago that rumours were being debunked that it had a Micro SD slot, and now this. Will we be back in a month to make sure you know it can’t fly or clean your car? Where this all came from is a video clip where a brave OnePlus One owner notices that a rain shower doesn’t cause his OnePlus One to combust and so decides to dunk it in water. For 12 seconds the OnePlus One is underwater and survives apparently none the worse for the experience. This would be taken as one man’s scientific interest gone too far, but a surprising amount of people are following in his footsteps and commenting on what good news it is that they can now take an excellent selfie while scuba diving and play Candy Crush in the bath.
So here is the truth of the matter: all phones are tested for water resistance, the OnePlus One is no different. It emerged from those tests with no water resistance label, therefore it is not recommended for use under water and in the quite likely event that you damage your phone in this way, it is not covered in the warranty. You have been warned people: arriving at your phone dealer with a waterlogged OnePlus One is only likely to bring you embarrassment and a pretty hefty repair bill. The phone promises many things, but the ability to swim is unfortunately not one of them. We’ll leave the last word on the matter to a OnePlus representative: “the OnePlus One is not endorsed as a water resistant product and water damage will not be covered by warranty”. So there we have it, step away from the fishtank and think on.

Lenovo K920 With 6-inch QHD Display and Snapdragon 801 Launched
Nowadays, leaders of the smartphone industry arise with assorted software particulars. Should you covet a high-resolution smartphone, the Lenovo K920, is undoubtedly worth-mentioning.
The K920 was perceived as an attention-getter, at the newly held Mobile Asia Expo in Shanghai; as every single gadget adjacent to the smartphone appeared powerless.
The Lenovo K920 smartphone is furnished with a 6-inch QHD (1440 x 2560) wrapped in a premium-looking brushed metal body. Underneath the covering operates: a Snapdragon 801 processor combined with a 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM; plus a 4,000-mAh battery, supporting all the essence. Furthermore, it is equipped with a 16-megapixel rear-camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), and a dual-tone flash; and corresponding with a 5-megapixel front camera, for above-average selfies.
As of its 6-inch size, the Lenovo K920 may not be fascinating to every person; but then again, it positively outclasses everything else in its miniature métier. The K920 has not in fact been publicized hitherto; nonetheless, considering Lenovo is already presenting the smartphone at technology expositions, it must not take long for it to get through our coasts.

OnePlus One vs HTC One Max
HTC One Max and OnePlus One are two of the most featured android mobiles available in the market. After looking at the configuration of these two smartphones, it’s so thrilling to compare these warheads before we purchase any. Both of these were created as a phablet using LCD technology with the Max at 5.9 inches, 373 PPI and OnePlus One at 5.5inches, 401 PPI.
Both of these comes in two different models with different configurations. Each one having a 16GB version with the One bouncing to 64GB storage without any microSD slot and the Max having a 32GB version but it does have a microSD card slot for expansion upto 64GB
The camera technology is quite different with the HTC’s Max having 4MP UltraPixel layout and the OnePlus One uses 13MP for smooth operation. The batteries are similar with the One using a 3100mAh and the Max jumping to a 3300mAh.
Before we pick a winner among these two, we need to compare more features and find out which provides better and reliable performance.
Specifications
OnePlus One
The new OnePlus One is already attracting people’s attention before its arrival.the One is packing some high-end specs for less than what it would cost to buy Nexus 5 which means it is nothing less than a big gamble. The 5.5-inch FULL HD display is slightly smaller than the 5.9-inch on the Max, but it does make the device more manageable in your hand and certainly thinner and lighter. The Snapdragon 801 quad-core clocked at 2.5GHz simply blows the HTC One Max’s processor out of the water. That processor is coupled with 3GB of RAM which also beats out the 2GB of RAM in the Max. The One does not offer internal memory expansion beyond the 64GB model. The One has a more traditional 13MP main camera from Sony with a six-lens configuration and the 5MP front-facing camera uses a wide-angle lens to capture more area for video chats and excellent group selfies. The One operates the newest Android 4.4 KitKat operating system built-over by CyanogenMod, which claims a near pure Google experience with several enhancements. The pricing is where it really shines – $299 for the 16GB model and only $349 for the 64GB model, and these are off-contract prices.
HTC One Max
The HTC One Max is simply the original HTC One M7, only larger in every direction, including weight – with the addition of a fingerprint scanner on the back of the device, directly under the camera. The screen retains its Full HD 1080p display, but because of its 5.9-inch size, the pixels-per-inch (PPI) drops to 373 – which is still very good. The Max does offer a microSD slot for an additional 64GB of internal storage, if you so desire. HTC insists on using their 4MP UltraPixel technology on their main cameras, and while MP is not everything, the pictures are good, but not great. The battery is slightly larger at 3300mAh versus 3100mAh in the smaller One, but not enough of a difference to mean much in battery life. The Max is running the latest Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade with well-received Sense 5.5 overlay.
Considering the specifications, reliability and price, the winner is:
“ONEPLUS ONE”
