Following its global release, Tecno launched the Spark Go 1 smartphone in India. The device is now available for pre-order on Amazon, with sales starting on September 3rd at 12 PM, priced at Rs 7,299 for the Indian variant.

While the complete specifications for the Indian version haven’t been fully disclosed, the Amazon listing highlights some key features. It also comes with AI Active Noise Cancellation for clear audio, dual speakers, and an infrared sensor.

In terms of design, the Spark Go 1 has a flat display with a centrally placed punch-hole cutout and slim bezels. The back of the phone features a circular camera island with two sensors and an LED flash. The smartphone is available in three colors: Lime Green, Glittery White, and Startrail Black.

For performance, the global version of the Spark Go 1 is powered by the Unisoc T615 processor, with up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The Indian version is expected to have similar or slightly upgraded specifications.

Motorola has recently launched the Motorola Edge 50 Neo in the global market, featuring a 1.5K resolution P-OLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity processor, and a 50-megapixel main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The same device is said to launch in China as the Moto S50. The S50 smartphone has now been spotted on Geekbench, revealing some of its key specifications.

The Geekbench listing reveals that the Moto S50, identified by model number XT2409-5 has a Dimensity 7300 processor, the same one used in the Motorola Edge 50 Neo. It has a peak clock speed of 2.50 GHz with a Mali-G615 MC2 GPU and 12GB of RAM.

Other specifications of the device were recently leaked, revealing that it will feature a 6.36-inch FHD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and support for HDR10+.

The device’s Dimensity 7300 chipset will reportedly be coupled with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. The device could house a 4,400mAh battery with support for 68W fast charging.

Its rear camera setup might include a 50-megapixel main sensor with OIS, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. On the front, the device will feature a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.

Recently, a Vivo phone model number V2415A was approved by the radio certification platform in China. The said device has now received approval from China’s 3C certification platform, indicating that its launch could be drawing near. There’s a possibility that it could be one of the Vivo X200 series of smartphones.

Purported Vivo X200 series receives 3C certification

The above screenshot reveals that the upcoming Vivo V2415 has emerged in 3C’s database. The device has been spotted with a V9082L0A1-CN / V9082L0E1-CN that supports up to 90W fast charging. Considering that the phone may support 90W charging, it appears that it could be an upcoming flagship phone from the brand.

There’s a possibility that the Vivo V2415 (without the letter “A”) that was recently spotted in the IMEI database could be the global version of the Vivo V2415A phone. As per the IMEI listing, the V2415 model number belongs to the Vivo X200. It is advisable to approach information about the phone’s moniker with caution. The identity of the V2415A phone is expected to be revealed in the coming days.

So far, reports suggest that the X200 lineup will consist of at least three models, such as the Vivo X200, X200+ and X200 Pro. These devices are expected to debut with the Dimensity 9400 chip onboard in the third week of October. The Vivo X200 Ultra is expected to launch in the first half of 2024. The Ultra variant may likely feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip.

Red Magic recently confirmed that it will hold a launch event on Sept. 5 to announce two gaming-focused tablets. One of the devices, which bears the NP03J model number, has appeared in the database of AnTuTu’s benchmarking platform. The listing as usual has revealed the benchmark test scores as well as key specifications of the device.

The Red Magic Gaming Pad variant that has appeared on AnTuTu is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version chipset. It is accompanied by 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The device runs on Android 14 and supports a 120Hz refresh rate.

Apple’s next-generation AirPods Pro claimed to offer “much better” active noise cancellation

According to tipster Kosutami on X, Apple could soon launch the AirPods Pro 3. The AirPods Pro 2 was launched towards the end of 2022. Previously, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman speculated that Apple may launch the AirPods Pro 3 sometime in 2025.

According to the tipster, the AirPods Pro 3 will offer a much better ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) feature as compared to the AirPods Pro 2. Although, he didn’t share any more details about it. Apple advertises the AirPods Pro 2 to feature an up to twice as capable active noise cancellation system as compared to the first generation AirPods Pro. It will be interesting to see how much of an improvement the AirPods Pro 3 brings.

In addition to the improved ANC feature, the AirPods Pro 3 is also rumored to introduce new health-tracking features.

Mark Gurman also previously speculated that Apple may have plans to add the noise cancellation feature to the AirPods 4, which is expected to launch sometime in late 2024 or early 2025. According to recent reports, the AirPods 4 could launch as soon as September this year alongside the iPhone 16 lineup.

Notably, the AirPods 4 is expected to come in two different versions. Both of them are rumored to feature a revised design that aims to offer a better fit and sound quality. The charging case could also be updated with a Type-C port. One of the two versions of the AirPods 4 is also said to equip a speaker in the charging case that can play a sound for Find My Location tracking.

According to a recent tip from Weibo tipster “Mobile phone chip expert,” (translated from Chinese) the iPhone 17 series may feature 12GB of RAM, a significant upgrade from the 8GB RAM rumored for the iPhone 16 lineup.

Analyst Jeff Pu of Haitong International Securities previously mentioned that the iPhone 17 Pro models would come with 12GB of RAM. However, the latest rumor doesn’t clarify whether this upgrade applies to the entire iPhone 17 lineup or just the Pro models.

The iPhone 16 series is rumored to include a more capable Neural Processing Unit (NPU), enabling more complex AI features. The Solo 4 headphones, weighing just 217 grams, feature UltraPlush cushions for comfort and a flex-grip headband for a secure fit. The headphones also support lossless audio via USB-C, and they come equipped with multiple connectivity options, including Class 1 Bluetooth for wireless use, USB-C for charging and audio, and a 3.5mm analog input for high-resolution wired playback.

The Beats Pill is a portable Bluetooth speaker that is 10% lighter than its predecessor and comes with a removable carry lanyard and a soft-grip silicone backing. It offers up to 24 hours of battery life and features IP67 dust and water resistance, making it durable enough for outdoor use.

A re-engineered racetrack woofer and radial ribbing have upgraded the Pill’s acoustic architecture to produce more powerful, room-filling sound. The design includes a 20-degree upward tilt to improve sound projection. The speaker also functions as a speakerphone, with clear voice pickup for calls and voice assistant activation. The Beats Pill is compatible with both iOS and Android devices and features one-touch pairing, along with the ability to sync two speakers for an enhanced audio experience.

The Beats Solo Buds cost Rs 6,900 (~$82) and can be purchased in four colors: Matte Black, Storm Gray, Arctic Purple, and Transparent Red. Priced at Rs 22,990 (~$272), the Solo 4 headphones can be purchased in shades, such as Matte Black, Slate Blue, and Cloud Pink. The Beats Pill Bluetooth speaker comes in Matte Black, Statement Red, and Champagne Gold color options. It can be purchased for Rs 16,900 (~$201).

All three products—the Beats Solo Buds, Beats Solo 4 headphones, and Beats Pill—are available for pre-orders starting today, Aug. 28, at apple.com/in, and will be in Apple Store locations starting Sept. 4.

HyperOS 2.0 release set for October 10; Will Xiaomi 15 Debut the Same Day?

Xiaomi is known to be working on the second generation of HyperOS for quite a while. Xiaomitime previously spotted a line of code in the system that suggests that the company is working on HyperOS 2.0. Now the latest leak out of China claims that the HyperOS 2.0 will be released on October 10.

According to the image, the Redmi K70 Ultra (review) may get the HyperOS 2.0 version OS2.0.1.0.VNNCNXM on October 10, 2024. So the second generation of HyperOS could launch on October 10.

For those questioning the possibility of Xiaomi releasing the new generation of HyperOS on a Redmi device first, it’s also possible that the company will launch the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro on the same date. It was previously rumored that the Xiaomi 15 series would be the first to run HyperOS 2.0.

Possible improvements in HyperOS 2.0

Interesting details have already been spotted about HyperOS 2.0. It will reputedly be based on both Android 14 and Android 15 and will reach many Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO devices.

Based on what we know so far, HyperOS 2.0 will improve connectivity with other Xiaomi devices and will pack a feature that can detect hidden cameras. Lu Weibing, the President and General Manager of the Redmi and Xiaomi brand also previously hinted that HyperOS 2.0 is deeply integrated with LLMs, which possibly makes it a better AI phone.

The improved AI capabilities of HyperOS 2.0 could offer improved voice recognition, enhanced photo and video editing, and personalized app recommendations. All of it is aimed at making Xiaomi devices more intuitive and user-friendly.

Aside from the AI features noted above, HyperOS 2.0 could also use AI to offer ‘smart battery management’, improved charging, and other optimizations by observing user behavior.

In addition to the AI features, HyperOS 2.0 is reported to have a refreshed UI design. Users may also expect smoother animation than the previous generation, which should improve the multitasking experience. As part of the UI redesign, HyperOS 2.0 introduces enhanced notification management and additional home screen customization options, which should further improve the user experience.

Xiaomi has launched its latest Mijia H40 Robot Vacuum Mop in the Chinese market, designed with several advanced features to enhance home cleaning. The robot vacuum is priced at 2,499 yuan ($350) and it will be available for pre-order starting August 30. Let’s check out its key specs.

The Mijia H40 comes equipped with a powerful 6000Pa suction fan, which ensures efficient dust removal, especially from hard-to-reach areas like floor cracks and deep in carpets.

The Mijia H40 comes with a real-time anti-tangle main brush. This brush is specifically designed to cut and collect hair simultaneously, preventing common issues with hair and pet fur tangling. The side axles are also optimized to reduce the likelihood of tangles, making the vacuum easier to maintain.

The robot supports four cleaning modes, allowing users to choose between sweeping first, mopping first, sweeping and mopping simultaneously, or only sweeping or mopping.

The mop can automatically lift when it detects carpeted areas, preventing the mop from getting wet and dirty. It also features intelligent mop lifting during rinsing and drying processes, which helps avoid secondary contamination and keeps floors clean and dry.

This model features a compact base with a 4L water tank that allows the device to mop an area up to 500m² on a single fill. The base also includes a self-cleaning mop system with adjustable rinse frequencies and drying durations, ensuring that the mop remains clean and odor-free.

The Mijia H40 is equipped with advanced sensing and navigation technologies, including millimeter-level obstacle avoidance and 360° laser scanning, ensuring precise and efficient cleaning.

Amazfit debuted its GTR 4 in India back in 2022, with the Limited Edition variant being announced globally last year. Now, it appears that the brand is refreshing this series with the GTR 4 New Version. A fresh teaser was just shared, showcasing the design of the upcoming smartwatch and some of its key specs and features.

Looking at the teaser promo images, Amazfit has confirmed that the GTR 4 New will sport a 1.45-inch circular AMOLED display. This screen supports Always on Display along with over 200 watch faces and more than 150 sports modes. The company claims that the new smartwatch can automatically detect 8 sports modes and even strenth training exercises and also offer live sports data broadcast.

The Amazfit GTR 4 New version will run on the brand’s Zepp OS 2.0 out of the box, so we can expect to find mini apps, games, and support for Amazon Alexa as well as an offline voice assistant. It houses a 24 hour heart rate tracking, SpO2 blood oxygen mapping, and stress level tracking. On a single full charge, it can last for up to 14 days. Amazfit equipped a microphone and speaker for Bluetooth Calling.

Other notable features include the PeakBeats Workout Status Algorithm, Adidas Running and Strava sync, and GPS for precise tracking. The Amazfit GTR 4 New Version is expected to launch in India soon, although an official release date is still at large. It will be sold via the brand’s official website as well as Amazon India. The poster images also showcase the watch in at least two strap variants. It is unclear what materials the straps are made of but there is a brown and black option.
