DJI may soon return to the spotlight in the FPV drone space, and early leaks suggest the company is preparing something a little different this time. If the latest information proves accurate, the next Avata model could make 360-degree aerial capture far more accessible than it has been so far.

Details about the rumored drone, widely expected to be called the DJI Avata 360, have surfaced through several leaks from known DJI watcher Jasper Ellens. According to the leak, the drone-only version could start around $499, which would put it below the current Avata 2, typically priced at around $600. That alone would make it one of the more affordable entries into the growing 360 FPV category, where competitors such as the Insta360 Antigravity A1 sit at noticeably higher prices.

Ellens has also said that leaked promotional images and packaging circulating online appear to be genuine. Those images reveal a few practical features as well. For example, the drone is expected to support replaceable lenses, with a two-pack reportedly costing around $50 or €50. The lenses appear to use a simple screw-in design, which should make quick replacements possible after scratches or minor crashes.

Battery pricing may also be more approachable. Spare Intelligent Flight Batteries are rumored to cost about $70 or €70, each with a 38.6 Wh capacity. That would actually be larger than the 31.8 Wh battery used in the Avata 2, which could translate to longer sessions in the air.

As for the drone itself, the design shown in leaks suggests a compact body with cinewhoop-style propeller guards, similar to earlier Avata models. The key difference would be the addition of 360-degree imaging, possibly through a dual-camera setup.

DJI has already started teasing something new on social media, hinting at “an all-new dimension of aerial creativity.” According to Ellens, another teaser is expected on March 12, with more promotional material likely to follow.

The so-called DJI drone ban in the United States started in late December 2025, but it is not what many headlines made it sound like. DJI drones were not banned outright. The new rules mainly affect future imports and approvals. If you already own a DJI drone, you can still use it.

Here is what buyers, hobby users, and commercial operators should know.

Why This Happened

The issue comes from the National Defense Authorization Act for FY2025. The law required a US national security agency to complete a formal security review of DJI by December 23, 2025.

That review did not happen by the deadline. Because of this, the Federal Communications Commission placed DJI equipment on its Covered List. Being on the Covered List does not ban ownership or use. It blocks new FCC equipment approvals, which are required to legally import and sell products in the US. That is what triggered the current restrictions.

Existing DJI Drones Are Not Banned

Many people think all DJI drones have become illegal. That is wrong. Any DJI model that already had FCC approval before December 23, 2025, can still be owned, used, and bought from existing US stock. The rule only affects new approvals, not products that were already certified. If a drone was approved before the deadline, it can still be sold in the US.

New DJI Drones Cannot Get FCC Approval

This is the biggest impact. Because DJI is now on the FCC Covered List, new drone models and radio equipment cannot receive FCC authorization. Without that approval, companies cannot legally import or sell those devices in the United States.

This effectively blocks new DJI drone launches in the US unless the policy changes.

Firmware Updates Are Allowed Until January 1, 2027

There were early fears that existing drones would lose software support. Regulators later added a temporary waiver. The FCC confirmed that DJI drones approved before the cutoff date can continue getting firmware and security updates until January 1, 2027.

This applies to both consumer and enterprise drones. What happens after that depends on future policy decisions.

The Rules Target Imports, Not Flying

These restrictions do not ground drones that are already in use. They focus on certification and supply chains. Current owners can still fly under normal Federal Aviation Administration rules, including recreational use and Part 107 commercial operations.

The policy affects new hardware entering the US, not the legality of flying drones you already own. This matters for businesses like aerial photography, inspections, and public safety teams that rely on DJI gear.

Blue UAS Cleared List Drones Get Temporary Relief

Not every drone maker is treated the same. In January 2026, regulators said drones on the Blue UAS Cleared List are exempt from some restrictions until January 1, 2027.

This program, run by the United States Department of Defense, checks drones for cybersecurity, supply chain security, and hardware compliance with federal standards. DJI is not included, but this gives approved manufacturers a path forward in the US market.

The Bottom Line

This is not a full DJI ban.

It is a regulatory block on future imports and approvals, not on current ownership or use.

For now, DJI users can keep flying as usual. The bigger question is what happens after 2027 and whether DJI will be allowed to launch new products in the US again.

DJI has released the Neo 2, a compact 151 gram drone built for users who want something easy to carry and easy to control. It is the company’s lightest drone with omnidirectional obstacle sensing and brings new gesture controls, upgraded ActiveTrack and a SelfieShot mode aimed at quick everyday shooting.

A small display sits beside the camera to show the current shooting mode. The drone can lift off straight from the user’s palm by pointing it toward themselves and pressing the take off button. When the flight is done, the Return to Palm feature guides the drone back to the user’s hand so it can land safely without much effort.

Gesture Control is one of the main additions. Holding up one palm lets users move the drone left, right or adjust altitude. Using both palms makes it move closer or farther depending on how the hands shift. The camera angle can also be adjusted without a remote. The Neo 2 listens for voice commands through a smartphone or Bluetooth headphones, and those who want a longer range can connect it to the DJI RC N3 controller for up to 10 km of video transmission.

The drone also works with DJI’s motion controller and goggles for an FPV setup. It uses a 12 MP 1/2 inch CMOS sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and a new 2 axis gimbal that helps keep footage stable. It shoots 4K video at up to 100 fps for slow motion and can record 2.7K vertical clips. With ActiveTrack and SelfieShot, the drone can frame subjects on its own and quickly switch between waist up, full body and long shots. In open spaces, it can track at speeds up to 12 m per second and follow movement in eight directions including diagonals.

Dolly Zoom, QuickShots and MasterShots return with presets like Dronie, Circle, Rocket, Spotlight, Helix and Boomerang for simple social friendly videos.

For beginners, the Neo 2 includes omnidirectional monocular vision, forward LiDAR and downward infrared sensors to detect obstacles. Built in propeller guards add extra protection. Hovering and positioning have also been improved for flying indoors or near buildings and water.

The drone offers level 5 wind resistance, up to 19 minutes of flight time and 49 GB of internal storage. Footage can be moved to the DJI Fly app through Wi Fi at up to 80 MB per second.

Under the hood, this tiny drone is powered by a 1,606 mAh (11.5 Wh) battery pack and features a built-in storage of 49GB. DJI equips the Neo 2 with a 1/2-inch camera sensor with a 119.8 degree FOV, f/2.2 aperture, and 4K/60 or 4K/100 fps video recording options, with a peak video bitrate of 80Mbps. The compact drone features dual axis gimbal for improved image stabilization, along with gesture controls, and an omnidirectional obstacle avoidance system that uses the front facing LiDAR sensor.

DJI has announced the launch of the FlyCart 100 in the Chinese market, a new heavy-lift flagship cargo drone built for industrial and mission-critical logistics. The FC100 is designed to carry payloads up to 80 kilograms and operate in high-altitude, high-risk environments far beyond traditional consumer drone use.

DJI FlyCart 100 Specifications

The FC100 supports a maximum takeoff weight of 149.9kg and can fly up to 6 kilometers on a single battery when fully loaded. In dual-battery mode, it carries up to 65kg and reaches up to 12 kilometers. When flown without a payload, it can travel as far as 26 kilometers.

To meet the demands of heavy-lift operations, DJI has built the drone with 62-inch carbon fiber propellers, 420A ESCs, and a coaxial dual-rotor system that optimizes thrust efficiency. The drone is rated IP55, enabling operation in dust, light rain, and wind speeds up to 12 meters per second. It can fly in temperatures ranging from -20°C to 40°C and reach altitudes up to 6000 meters.

The DJI FC100 uses the DB2160 battery, which has a 41Ah capacity and supports thermal hot-swapping. The new oceanographic survey drone is the product of a joint engagement between Penta Ocean Construction and Prodrone Co., Ltd. The drone is called the Penta-Ocean Vanguard-DroneAqua (POV-DA).

The POV-DA is an innovative oceanographic survey drone with great capabilities and versatility. It is designed for seamless water operations and is equipped with a high-precision GNSS satellite system, a depth-measuring sonar, and thrusters. The drone can transmit and display real-time data on its current location and water depth to operators on land via a remote control console. The advanced tech features in the drone mean that it can navigate to specific monitoring points using its thrusters. The drone can maintain its position even when the sea is turbulent.

The excellent sea-going capabilities of the POV-DA drone mean that the drone is a great tool for carrying out efficient and automatic bathymetric surveys and wave observations. In construction projects that require the building of breakwaters, quay walls, and similar structures, the POV-DA provides an alternative to the traditional depth-sounding using dedicated boats or lead-sounding methods. The time required for depth surveys is significantly reduced when using the new drone. The potentials of the POV-DA in ocean operations and disaster management are quite extensive. It could be integrated with additional equipment such as multi-parameter water quality meters, water sampling devices, and such, to broaden its capabilities. The DJI Mini 4K is a lightweight drone, weighing just 249 grams. It can take off in most countries and regions around the world without training or testing. It supports one-click takeoff and landing, and automatic return. It is a beginner drone, suitable for novices. You get a pretty decent battery life of 31 minutes of flight time on a single charge. This can be extended to 93 minutes if the video is not put to use.

For an affordable drone, the Mini 4K comes with some spectacular features like a three-axis mechanical gimbal and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). It also supports intelligent shooting modes such as one-click short films and panoramic photos, so novices can also easily create aerial blockbusters. It also comes with one-click short video shoot support as well as fade, spiral, soar, surround, and comet modes. With just two taps on the screen, the Mini 4K will automatically shoot and generate a short video with several available filters and soundtracks. Users can share it directly or edit the video in the app. The measured image transmission distance is up to 10 kilometers.

For still photography, the Mini 4K can capture panoramic shots in wide-angle, 180°, and spherical panorama modes. With a tap, the drone can automatically complete shooting and post-processing, and also generate high-resolution panoramic masterpieces.

Furthermore, the Mini 4K is equipped with four brushless motors, has up to level 5 wind resistance, and can take off at an altitude of 4,000 meters. DJI Mini 4 Pro, Technology of the DJI Air 3 in a smaller package

The upcoming Mini 4 Pro will be released in the coming days and is expected to start at $849 in several variants, slightly lower than the price of the larger Air 3. In Europe, the battery with a 2590mAh capacity and up to 34 minutes of flight time is likely to be used in a small variant, while a larger 3850mAh battery is expected to be used in other regions, which will provide longer flight times.

According to the specifications for the new Mini drone from DJI, which have been circulated in advance based on various leaks, the Mini 4 Pro will feature a 48-megapixel camera sensor mounted on a gimbal. Unlike previous models, up to 20 kilometers of range is possible with Full HD video transmission. DJI is also expected to offer up to 100 frames per second for 4K video recording. New camera sensors on the drone’s body also enable omnidirectional obstacle avoidance, which was not possible on the previous model.

As with its other models, DJI plans to market the Mini 4 Pro in a range of different controller combinations. In addition to the basic version with a simple controller, packages with the RC-N1 controller, the DJI RC-2 controller, and Fly-More combos with DJI RC-2 are expected, with prices ranging up to $1199.

Interestingly, the larger battery is also expected to be offered as an option in Europe, according to dealer information. However, using the larger battery will result in the drone exceeding the maximum weight of 249 grams, which requires a special permit in many countries for operation of drones above this weight limit. The Mini 4 Pro is expected to be released in the coming days.

DJI, the global leader in drone tech has unveiled its latest drone DJI Air 3. The semi-flagship drone stands out with its dual camera and offers more powerful photo and video capabilities than its predecessor Air 2s.

DJI Air 3 specifications:

DJI Air 3 comes with a dual 4K camera system, featuring a wide-angle lens with a 24mm equivalent focal length and an f/1.7 aperture, as well as a medium telephoto lens with a 70mm equivalent focal length and an f/2.8 aperture. Both these lenses are 1/1.3-inch in size and support dual native ISO.

DJI has been making some of the best drones available in the market, and most of its products are aimed at a general audience. But the company has now launched a new drone, dubbed DJI Inspire 3, with a whopping price of $16,499.

The newly announced DJI Inspire 3 drone is a commercial-grade product with support for 8K recording and comes as a successor to the Inspire 2, which was launched a few years ago in 2016.

According to the company, the new drone is 20 percent more aerodynamic compared to its predecessor. The major upgrade comes in the form of a cinema camera known as Zenmuse X9-8K Air. It is claimed to be the lightest ever full-frame camera system and sues CineCore 3.0, a new image processing system from the company.

The camera can record 4K at 120fps in ProRes RAW and can deliver dual native ISO: 800 / 4000 for 30fps and below and 320 / 1600 for higher frame rates. There are more than 14 stops of dynamic range to fine-tune shots. The gimbal supports 80-degree tilting and full 360-degree rotation.

It can also record Apple ProRes RAW format in 8K at 75fps, a first for a DJI product. But the feature isn’t enabled by default, and to use ProRes RAW and CinemaDNG, the user will need to purchase a license key worth $979 to unlock them. It also supports interchangeable lenses from a lineup of its DL-mount lenses.

The drone comes with a new remote control, RC Plus, supporting dual-control mode where one user can control just the cinema camera, and the other can pilot the drone using a front first-person view (FPV) camera. The FVP camera has an ultrawide lens (161-degree) sitting in front of a night vision sensor.

DJI has announced a new version of its entry-level drone, named DJI Mini 2 SE. As the rumors indicated, the device comes with a few upgrades to the current model.

The DJI Mini 2 SE is priced at $369 and will be available for purchase next month. Along with the drone, the company is also selling a Fly More Combo bundle which includes additional batteries, replacement propellers, and a carrying case for $519.

It comes equipped with its in-house OcuSync 2.0 transmission system, enabling the drone to fly more than twice as far away as the original Mini SE, and the “Enhanced WiFi” system has limited its range to up to 4km. The company adds that the system can maintain a more stable video feed at greater distances.

There’s also a new decent camera system found on the drone, which comes with a three-axis gimbal and a 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor that is capable of capturing 2.7K video and 12-megapixel still images. It supports HD video transmission at up to 10km (6.2 mi), and Level 5 wind resistance allows the drone to hover steadily in 10.7 m/s (24mph) winds.

As for the battery life, the DJI Mini 2 SE can fly for around 31 minutes on a single battery charge, which is a minute longer than the 30-minute flight time on the previous model. It continues to weigh 249 grams, similar to its predecessor, which means that the device can be used without the need to register it with the Federal Aviation Administration.

DJI is apparently gearing up to launch a new drone from its popular Mavic series soon. The company has announced that the upcoming Mavic 3 Classic drone will be unveiled on the 2nd of November 2022. So here’s what we know so far.

As per an official teaser trailer, the Chinese drone maker is set to announce the new Mavic 3 Classic on November 2. The upcoming drone in question is believed to be from the Mavic series due to the camera lens that was seen in the recently shared teaser. The sensor looks nearly identical to the Hasselblad camera on the DJI Mavic 3. Although, this model lacked branding and a telephoto lens. But it appears that the cheaper version of its Mavic 3 drone might be the Classic, which would go official on the ‘Explore Vivid’ event next month.

Furthermore, the new drone also looks similar to the recent image leaks of the Mavic 3 Classic, which were shared by WinFuture. Apart from this, the Mavic 3 Drone had also passed through the FCC certification website as well previously. If the brand decides to launch the Mavic 3 Classic at an aggressive price, we can expect it to be quite an attractive option that might also compete with the company’s existing Mini 3 series of drones.

The increasing deployment of drones to solve medical emergencies was brought to the fore again in an incident that happened in Sweden last December. A 71-year old man was resuscitated by a doctor who was supplied a defibrillator by a drone. The unnamed elderly man had a heart attack while shoveling snow, as reported by drone service company Everdrone. The remarkable incident indicates that the Everdrone Emergency Medical Aerial Delivery (EMADE) service was called in and, within minutes, was able to scramble a drone carrying a defibrillator that was then used by the medical doctor to save the life of the man.

The Everdrone’s EMADE service is designed to deliver the medical supply as quickly as possible. It allows emergency dispatchers to send the drone carrying the device to the location to give a headstart to the ambulance team which may take a bit longer to arrive at the location. In this particular case, the drone arrived just three minutes after it was requested. A bystander, who happened to be a doctor on the way to his job, then used the device on the patient after administering CPR.

The medical delivery drone is the outcome of a collaboration between the Swedish Center for Resuscitation Science, SOS Alarm, Region Vastra Gotaland, and Everdrone. The feat adds to Everdrone’s growing repertoire of successes using its cutting-edge drone technology with great emergency credentials and super-fast response times. A four-month pilot study had seen the drones delivering medical equipment faster before the ambulance arrived in most of the cases. The numbers from the pilot study were very impressive both in the response times and the actual delivery of the medical devices. Europe may join parts of Sweden already enjoying the EMADE service this year.

DJI, the popular drone maker, has officially announced that the company will be hosting a launch event in China on 5th November at 10:00 AM local time. The theme of the event is “Image Supreme” but the company has not revealed what is getting launched.

But, if the recent leaks are any indication, then the Chinese company is gearing up to launch its new Mavic-series drone, dubbed DJI Mavic 3.

The development is in line with the company’s plan of hosting three launch events for launching three different products. It hosted a launch event on 20th October to launch the Robin 4D, the brand’s first four-axis movie camera which is also equipped with a Zenmuse X9 imaging system.

Following the launch of Robin 4D, the company hosted another event on 27th October where it launched the DJI Action 2 full-scene sports camera that offers multi-form magnetic expansion options to adapt to various shooting scenes.

Now, at the upcoming 5th November event in China, the company is expected to launch the DJI Mavic 3, which has already been leaked online. It is said to be equipped with an omnidirectional obstacle avoidance system, and an infrared detection system.

It is said to feature a fully stabilized 3-axis gimbal with a telephoto and wide-angle camera with the ability to capture 5.2K video and 20-megapixel photos. The wide-angle lens has an aperture of f2.8, and the telephoto lens should support 7x zoom.

The product is expected to weigh around 920 grams. The drone is also said to feature a built-in 1TB storage capacity and come powered by a 5000mAh or 6000mAh capacity battery, which can provide 46 minutes of flight time. It is also expected to be bundled with standard accessories such as a remote control similar to that of the Mavic Air 2S.

If the reports are to be believed, then along with the Mavic 3, the company will also be launching the DJI Mavic 3 Cine which is likely designed for filmmakers and the camera will feature ND filters. To know for sure what’s up the company’s sleeves, we’ll have to wait for a couple of days more for the launch event to take place.

Husban has just launched the new Zino Mini drone. This is the third product released by the company this year. It is a lightweight and compact drone, with the company’s tagline for it stating that it aims to “let more people fly.”

The Zino Mini weigh just 249 grams and sports a 1/1.3 inch CMOS sensor that is capable of shooting at 4K resolution at 30 fps. Although, this video will be streamed to the paired smartphone at just 1080p resolution. Furthermore, the Zino Mini can fly for up to 40 minutes, or for 10 kilometers, on a single full charge from its 3,000mAh battery pack. Notably, the drone also features an AI tracking mode that can accurately locate moving people, vehicles, or animals and even offers a night time mode that uses an algorithm to optimize recordings made in low light.

The drone is available in two storage configurations, namely a 64GB or 128GB internal storage versions that can be expanded via a microSD card slot. A major difference between Husban’s newly launched Zino Mini and the Zino Mini Pro is the obstacle detection feature, with the latter offering three sensors on the sides while the Zino Mini only offers on downward facing sensor.

On the other hand, the Zino MINI SE is an even more affordable drone from the brand but its skips even more features like the obstacle avoidance entirely. The Zino Mini will be available for a price of 459 US Dollars, although, Husban has yet to release the product in the market or revealed when it the product will actually be hitting online or offline shelves.

DJI, the Chinese company known globally for its drones, has a lineup of small drones under the Mavic branding. Now, the company is working on the next-generation model which is reportedly called DJI Mavic 3.

The upcoming product’s design was leaked last month and now renders of the DJI Mavic 3 have surfaced online. The renders come via DroneDJ which is citing a trusted source in China and claims it to be close to the real product.

The renders reveal that the arms are thinner but other aspects of the product, including the rear-loading battery, are in line with the previous leaks. The camera module portion shows Hasselblad branding which matches last month’s leak.

The previous leak claimed that the DJI Mavic 3 will come with two camera sensors. The main camera will be able to shoot videos in up to 5.7K resolution while the secondary sensor will offer 7x optical zoom support.

It is also expected to come packed with 1TB of internal storage and powered by a 6,00mAh battery. Not much is known about the device at this time but we expect to know more in the coming days or weeks.

As for the availability, there are contradicting details. While a report claims that the product could get launched in October or November, another report claims that the launch has been delayed until January 2022. Given that the company has stopped production of DJI Mavic 2 Pro, it’s likely that the new model will get launched in a month or two.

The DJI Mini SE is priced at 1,999 yuan which roughly converts to $309. The pricing is for the stand-alone model, making it suitable for new users. It also supports various accessories, backpacks, and extended use methods.

This new drone seems to be a specialized one that is tailored to suit the needs of entry-level users. It provides some basic functionalities and is quite affordable. Despite its name, the product is not a low-cost edition of the DJI Mini 2 but a less-expensive model of the first-generation DJI Mavic Mini which was launched in the year 2019.

As for the specifications, it comes with support for the 2.7K-resolution camera (as opposed to the 4K) and 2.5-mile wireless range. The camera can shoot 2.7K video at 30 frames per second, with a 4x digital zoom when shooting in 1080p. It also captures 12-megapixel photos in jpeg format and has a 3-axis gimble setup.

The Mini SE doesn’t have support for Ocusync, which is the company’s own transmission technology, allowing the product to use 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz bands, giving it more flexibility when there is a lot of interference in transmission. Instead, it relies on a Wi-Fi connection.

There’s also an omnidirectional protective cover that can improve flight safety. GPS and down-looking sensors allow the drone to hover steadily. Coming to the weight, the DJI Mini SE weighs 249 grams which is quite lightweight. It is claimed to offer a battery life of 30 minutes on a single charge.

A new report has revealed that the DJI Mavic 3 Pro might not be launching for a while now. A source close to the matter has revealed that the new drone might not be arriving till October 2021 or even later.

According to a DroneDJ report, a reliable source from China has stated that the Mavic 3 Pro will not launch till October, at the earliest. For those unaware, the Mavic 3 Pro will be the latest drone from the popular Chinese drone maker, which is a part of the company’s high end Mavic Pro series. It is expected to arrive with various improvements and additions over its predecessor.

While anticipation for this drone in the market is high, prospective buyers might still have to wait longer. The report further added that the source had initially stated that the Mavic 3 Pro will launch in October, but now, the source has doubts regarding this timeline. The reason for this is apparently due to the progress of the development of the drone, which is slow as of right now.

Similar to other tech based firms, even DJI is likely to prepare and test multiple prototypes of a new product before deciding on a final design and then preparing for mass production prior to its release. So, the date for the launch is still uncertain at the moment, although, we can expect a late Q3 or a Q4 launch later this year.

DJI, the world’s leading company when it comes to drones, is reportedly gearing up to launch a new product, dubbed DJI Mini SE. Based on the new leaks, it appears that the device could be the company’s cheapest drone yet.

The leak, coming from Walmart, is expected to have a starting price of $299. Apart from the upcoming product listing on the Walmart website, the device has already shipped to at least one set of Walmart Store shelves.

It seems that the upcoming drone isn’t the low-cost model of the DJI Mini 2 but appears to be the less-expensive model of the first-generation DJI Mavic Mini which was launched in the year 2019.

As for the specifications, the product is likely to come with support for the 2.7K-resolution camera (as opposed to the 4K) and 2.5-mile wireless range. This points to the Mini SE not having support for Ocusync.

From what some of the users on Reddit suggest, the primary differences between the upcoming model and the original models seem to be a $100 lower price and a slightly improved plastic chassis.

The pricing is expected to be $299, which appears to be pretty good for a new drone from the company. With its shape, size, and weight, the device can easily be stuffed in a bag to be carried around and won’t need to be registered with the FAA.

DJI, one of the well-known drone makers, has officially responded to the claims of a battery-related issue with the DJI Mini 2 and the company has also said that a fix for the same is coming soon.

After YouTuber Ian in London highlighted the battery discharge issue with the DJI Mini 2 claiming that it may harm the long-term health of the device’s battery, more users started complaining about the same.

The DJI Mini 2 uses Lithium Polymer (LiPo) batteries and they ideally need to slowly discharge when left at full charge to help prolong the life and prevent long-term issues. While DJI’s Intelligent Batteries usually do this but users found that the Mini 2 drone’s battery isn’t doing this and it has now been confirmed by the company.

To fix this issue, the company says that it is working on the fix will release a new firmware update that will “initiate auto-discharge when batteries are in the drone or charging hub and have not been used recently,” reports TechRadar.

The DJI spokesperson added: “When placed in the drone or charging hub, the batteries use a minute amount of charge to maintain vital functions and do not initiate auto-discharge. For customers storing their drone for long periods of time, DJI recommends that batteries are removed from the drone and/or charging hub whether the firmware is updated or not. DJI will provide information on timing once that information becomes available.”

The DJI Mini 2 was launched in November last year for $449 and comes with support for shooting 4K videos at 30fps, 4X zoom, 2X lossless zoom, as well as RAW format. It is powered by OcuSync 2.0 with features like QuickShot, QuickTransfer, Enhanced Photo, and Trimmed Download. As for the battery life, it offers 31 minutes of flight time.
