The very first thing you are going to notice is an outstanding build quality of the device. It is made entirely of metal and I absolutely love the design of the antenna inlays.

We have a 5.5” 1080p display, which is sharp and vibrant but it could be just a tad brighter.

Just above the display, we have a 5MP shooter, which sits next to the notification LED light.

The phone just looks and feels premium in the hand. Also, the buttons do not rattle and they are tactile.

As for the camera, we have 13MP shooter coupled with a dual tone dual-LED flash and PDAF.

We have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, which is convenient to use. It is pretty accurate and it unlocks the phone 8/10, and it can do it straight from the standby mode.

The loudspeaker is placed on the bottom but the sound is kind of tinny and a little flat.

When it comes to hardware, the phone ships with an octa-core Mediatek Helio P10 chip with the clock speeds of 2.0GHz, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage.

I’ve never been a huge fan of Helio P10 chips when it comes to gaming and the Vernee Mars is no exception. You should expect quite a few skipped frames and stutter if you want to play games like Asphalt 8 on the highest graphics. On the other hand, playing this game on medium graphics is much better and you may have some enjoyable gaming experience.

The Vernee Mars ships with the pretty much stock-looking Android 6.0.

There are not too many features to talk about except for the fact that there are some customization options like the ability to switch the position of on-screen navigation buttons.

Most importantly, I didn’t have any issues with the phone’s daily performance even after installing quite a few apps and I would say that the Vernee Mars is a pretty fast performer.

IT IS HIGHLY-RECOMMENDED TO DOWNLOAD FULL RESOLUTION CAMERA SAMPLES TO SEE THE ACTUAL IMAGE QUALITY. THE PICTURES UPLOADED ON THE WEBSITE ARE 50% SMALLER IN RESOLUTION.

When it comes to the image quality, the Vernee Mars can take some decent-looking images in daylight. I took most of the pictures in the cloudy day and they look quite good but there could be a little more detail. Also, some of the shots look under-exposed and the colors look washed out. Finally, the camera does not really impress in low-light as there is quite a lot of noise and grain in the pictures.

As for selfie camera, the image quality could be better. The selfies could look a lot sharper and there could be more detail.

When it comes to the 1080p video, it is kind of mediocre as the footage could look sharper. Also, there is no continuous auto-focus on board. See the video review for a video sample.

The phone comes with a hybrid dual-SIM card tray, which can take either 2 SIM cards or 1 SIM and the microSD card.

When it comes to connectivity, I didn’t have any issues with the signal reception. Also, the wifi and the call quality are pretty good. The GPS signal may not be the best, but it may get the job done most of the times.

Vernee Mars Review: BATTERY LIFE

The phone ships with a 3000mAh battery that performs quite well. I could get around 4 or even 5 hours of screen-on time, depending on the usage.

In case you need to re-charge it, the supplied fast charge will do that in around 2 hours.

The Vernee Mars is yet another sub-$200 phone from China that aims to bring a lot of value to the table.

I have to say that it succeeds in quite a few ways since the device has a premium all-metal design, excellent build quality, and nice and sharp display.

Also, the Vernee Mars is a pretty fast performer when it comes to the day-to-day use and the battery life is pretty good.

However, the camera department is where the phone struggles. Sure, you can take some decent daylight images but the camera falls short in lower-lit or more challenging situations like cloudy days.

In addition, you have to know that the Helio P10 chip allows you to play the latest 3D games only on medium graphics.

At the end of the day, Vernee Mars is still a pretty solid smartphone for the price but you have to consider if the previously mentioned shortcomings are important to you or not.

So, what upgrades can we expect to see on the new chip? Analyst Pan Jiutang revealed a lot of details about the upcoming chipsets like Kirin 960, Helio X30 and even Snapdragon 830 (MSM 8998) earlier today. So, we have an idea about the possible upgrades.

He reveals that the Qualcomm will stick with Kryo cores for the Snapdragon 830, but increase the number to eight-cores. Current generation Snapdragon 820 comes with just quad Kryo cores, so imagine the performance we will see with eight such cores. Moreover, the chip is expected to be built on a much more efficient 10nm process. On the connectivity department, we can expect support for the super fast Cat. 16 LTE networks.

From the above specs, it looks like next year as well, Snapdragon 830 could rule the market. We just hope that the chip is optimized for efficiency and no problems such as overheating plague it like the SD810. This is not the first time we are hearing about the SD830. Elephone Four Product Launch 2016 coming on the 15th

The Elephone Four Product Launch 2016 has now been given an official time and date, at 2.30pm (GMT+8) on January the 15th you will be given full details of four Elephone products.

The P9000 handsets will be shown along with full product details and specifications, hopefully including a chance to see a finalised version of the P9000 Edge, as whilst most of the phones specs are well documented having been covered as part of the recent crowd funding promotion, the P9000 Edge has yet to be seen in the wild, hopefully it can live up to the renders that have been shown previously.

Their will also be coverage of the Elephone W2 watch, from what we have seen and been told so far it will feature a stainless steel case comparable in quality to those produced by high end watch manufacturers such as Longines and Ronda, along with an internal movement used by makers like Cartier, these are certainly very bold statements to make and a lot of people will doubt them, so lets wait and see if the W2 watch lives up to them.

When it comes to features a cool looking illuminated night light, and will support smart functions such as sleep and sports monitoring, sedentary reminders, call reminders and is compatible with both IOS and Android operating systems.

Overall the design looks high end and is visually pleasing, the changeable real leather watch strap should also add to the sense of quality and give it a touch of style.

Elephone will be giving a 50% discount on the watch as part of the Elephone Four Product Launch 2016, but we will need to wait till the 15th to find out exactly what we need to do in order to take advantage of the 50% off offer and if it will be limited to a certain number of applicants.

Another handset that will be covered as part of the Elephone Four Product Launch 2016, is the M3 Business phone, it will come in two different specification levels, with the differences between versions being the camera and memory specifications.

The top of spec M3 includes a 5.5″ LG screen, USB Type-C 3.0, 21MP Sony230 camera, Android 6.0 and fingerprint scanner.

Both versions of the M3 feature Network B allowing them to be used all around the world including America.

Elephone will be releasing not one but two versions of their latest M3 Business handset, a standard M3 and more feature ladened Elephone M3 PRO.

Both the M3 and Elephone M3 Pro will be built from High-tech aircraft-grade aluminium and both will also be rocking the Octa Core Mediatek MT6755 Helio P10 CPU along with support for USB type-c (3.0) and a 5.5” LG screens. 

But the Elephone M3 Pro will also feature a much better camera in the form of the Sony IMX230 21mp rear camera,

It also seems that the Elephone M3 Pro will have native support for US based LTE networks ensuring true worldwide usability and cheaper Android handsets for the American market.

On the rear of the Elephone M3 Pro you will also find a finger print reader, something that should help to future proof the handset as support is now built in to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

For the fashion conscious amongst you Elephone have anounced that the Elephone M3 Pro will be available in a selection of three colours, these are Rose Gold, Champagne Gold and Smoky Grey, the picture below shows the rose gold option.

As yet we have not been made aware of the expected Rom and Ram configurations for the M3 Pro, I would hope that the Elephone M3 Pro will come with at least 3GB of Ram and 32gb Rom but I will have to let you know for certain as more information is released.

Elephone have today published the Elephone Ivory product page, you can now find full details and specifications online.

Coming in at just $99.99 (£66), the Elephone Ivory could turn out to be a real bargain, featuring an Octa-core Mediatek MT6753  CPU clocked at 1.3GHz and an ARM Mali-T720 GPU, the phone should be easily able to push pixels around the Ivory’s 5″ 720p screen.

Elephone have given the Ivory 2GB of Ram and 16GB of ROM, for those of you that want more storage the Elephone Ivory also has support for up to 128GB Micro SD cards.

Elephone have chosen to go with a 13MP rear facing camera (hopefully this will not be an interpolated 8mp sensor) and a 2mp front facing selfie camera.

What could be one of the phones most impressive features upon release, is not a hardware based feature at all.

The Elephone Ivory will be one of the first China phones to come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, it will be interesting to see how Elephone get on with optimising the new OS for the phone.

Elephone is known for their affordable and value for money devices, which also means, the manufacturer generally pays little attention to the build quality and the overall design of the phone in order to keep its price low. However we came across an interesting masterpiece from the Hong Kong based company recently.

The device called as the Elephone P8 Pro is truly pro version in the Elephone’s device lineup and it looks like the company has finally paid a lot of attention to details while designing this device.

The Elephone P8 Pro takes some design cues from the larger iPhone 6. However, be assured that its not a clone, giving the device a unique identity.

On the front, there is a large 5.7 inch display which easily fits on its 157*81*8.2mm body. The bezels are thin and its rectangular body is curved around the sides, which should make it easier to hold the device. The ear piece, sensors and the front camera lies on top of the display while at the bottom, you have a Samsung like home button. Elephone has covered the front screen with a unique arc screen curved glass design which gives it a posh look.

The whole body is supported by a premium metal frame made from a mixture of Aluminium and Magnesium. The company claims that this is the same material used in iPhone 6’s border frame, making it extremely light yet hard enough not to break easily. On the back, you have a textured material which provides a good grip to the user holding the device.

On top of the back panel lies the 13MP f/2.0 camera with a single LED flash. The front camera is of 2MP.

The 5.7 display up front comes with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, which translates into pixel density of 257PPI. This is kind of disappointing given that the screen won’t be as vibrant or clear as other 5 inch phones from Elephone with the same resolution. Still, it remains to be seen the overall quality of the images and videos displayed on the screen of this new P8  Pro.

The device is powered by a Mediatek MT6592 1.7Ghz Octa Core processor with Mali 450MP GPU and 2GB RAM. You get 16GB internal storage which can further be expanded up to 64GB using a MicroSD card. On the back, you have a 2,650 mAh battery which should be enough for a day’s usage.

As for connectivity, the Elephone P8 Pro supports WCDMA 2100/850 (HSDPA), GSM 850/900/1800/1900, Wi-Fi n, GPS/ A GPS, OTG, FM, MicroUSB port, Bluetooth 4.0 etc. There are three sensors on board the device namely gravity, light and proximity sensors.

It comes with Android 4.4.2 out of the box, and support special software features like Air Gestures and Off Screen gestures.

We don’t have any more details or pictures of the device, but we’ll update you guys as soon as we get more information.

In the last two years, MediaTek has worked hard on producing great processors for Chinese phones and have even received orders from foreign brands like Sony and LG. As they continue to produce new chipsets, they are closing in on Qualcomm. Early this year, MTK finished their first LTE chipset, the MT6595, and will ship it to companies this month. So how is MTK’s first LTE processor?

Today, a snapshot of the Antutu benchmark test results of devices that use the MT6595 chipset came out. Surprisingly, this device scored 43000.

The MT6595 chipset uses four Cortex-A17 cores and four Cortex-A7 cores. It is an octa-core chipset that uses the big.Little design. It has a built-in PowerVR G6200 series GPU core. As a result, its GPU is in the same series as Apple’s A7 processor’s GPU, so it should not have bad performance. It’s CPU is compose of the Tubro High-Speed Edition (2.4-2.5GHz), the standard version with 2.1-2.2GHz, and a slower version with just 2GHz.

Interestingly, in the MT6595 chipset, only the Cortex-A7 has 1.7GHz. The device has 3GB RAM and uses the Android 4.4.2 OS.

It is not clear why the MT6595 scored so high. It is also not clear what device was used to test the MT6595. It is very likely that it is Chinese-made.

Another highlight of the MT6595 is 4G. This chipset supports LTE Release 9 Cat.4 internet (50Mbps-150Mbps), 4G dual-mode (TD-LTE and FDD-LTE). It is also compatible with DC-HSPA+42Mbps, TD-SCDMA, and EDGE/GSM.

The MT6595 also supports 20mp camera resolution, 2K display screens, and H.265 4K x 2K codec. MediaTek has boasted that the MT6595 has better performance, cost-performance ratio, and power consumption rate than even Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800/801. We’ll just have to wait until the second half of the year to see if they were just talking big.

       One of the reasons why MediaTek’s chips have been praised by Chinese manufacturers is its low power consumption. The MT6595 is no exception and its use of MTK’s own CorePilot lets smart phones that use the MT6595 save more energy.

MediaTek will use the MT6595 to enter the mid and high-end market, and in July, we may see if it’s as powerful as everyone says if they release the first cell phone to use it.

To compete with the Huawei P7, ZTE revealed their newest 4G flagship phone, the Qingyang 2 4G edition. Recently, photos of the new phone were leaked online.

The ZTE Qingyang 2 4G edition almost looks exactly the same as the original. It has a white thin shape. The speakers are located at the bottom while the standby and volume buttons are located at the right side. Unlike the regular version however, on the back of the phone, you can see its new logo.

According to earlier reports, the Qingyang 2 4G edition will be available in black and white and sports a 5-inch 720p display screen and 2GB RAM. It also uses the 4G MT6592 octa-acore chipset (with the frequency band of the MT6290). The rest of its features are the same as the original. It has a 5mP/8mP camera and runs on a 2300mah battery.

The Qingyang 2 4G edition is set to hit stores at the end of the month with some sources saying that it will cost around 3000 RMB.

Doogee has been releasing a lot of new products recently. They have also been releasing enhanced editions of some of their old ones. Not too long ago, they released the DG650S which now has four additional cores even though it has lower specs than the original.

The original Doogee DG650 used the MTK6589 quad-core chipset. The new DG650S uses MediaTek’s MT6592 octa-core chipset. This is only one of it the improvements that were done. Another one is that its operating system was upgraded from the Android 4.2 to the Android 4.3. As for the specs for its display screen, even though it still sports a 6.5-inch 1080p display screen, the DG650 uses LTPS technology, not only maintaining a higher visual angle but also saving more energy.

The DG650S’s RAM is not as big as the quad-core version which had 2GB RAM. The new version only has 1GB. They kept its internal storage space at 16GB, probably to lower costs.

This new version retains the rest of the specs of the original. It uses a 3500mha battery, has a 8mP front-facing camera and 16mp rear-facing camera, supports WCDMA/GSM dual-SIM, NFC, and OTG. It costs around 300 USD (somewhere between 1800 RMB and 1900 RMB).

After a few days of waiting, we finally get hold of one of the most powerful China smartphones available on the global market nowadays — the octa-core Cubot X6.

What we’ve got in hand is a priority package, containing the Cubot X6 white variant running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, complete with accessories.

We’ve spent several hours and even days just to scrutinize each and every attribute and feature entrenched into this new handset we received from Chinavasion. After performing a series of hands-on tests on the device, we came up with these subsequent findings.

Unboxing: First Impression

While this may not be that necessary, we just want to note that we’re impressed with the unit’s external packaging; it’s neat and simple but totally protects the phone.

And to ensure we don’t miss any important detail on it, we deliberately took these very first photos while unboxing the new Cubot X6.

6 Design: Closely akin to Sony Ericsson, Xperia Arc S

First glance on the handset, it seems to look similar to the elapsed Sony Ericsson that is schemed with a rectangle front side, with top and bottom edges that are slightly curved outside. Meanwhile, the protective glass that curves into the bottom lip so as its back cover that curves into the left and right edges, makes the device looks closely similar to that of the Xperia Arc S.

There are no redundant physical buttons but you’ll find the volume rocker and power keys on the device.
Overall craftsmanship is reasonable, except the seams that are a little bit wide, allowing more dusts to lodge in later exposure.

X6 Display: Good yet not that amazing

It’s good to see a 5-inch phone with IPS display sporting 1280 x 720 resolution but the Cubot X6’s pixel density of 294 PPI is not as high as that of THL T100s or Zopo ZP998s with 401 ppi. This makes the X6’s color display less amazing that other China phone variants.

But then again, you will see no traces of granules or mosaic textures from the graphical user interface or on-screen HD images.

One thing we like most of the X6 in terms of its display feature is its 720p presentation with its eye-comforting mild contrast.

X6 Performance: Buttery smooth

As you may all know, the 8-core MTK6592 CPU with Mali-450 GPU is among the toughest powerhouses seen on low-cost China phones to date. Given its 8-core processor, we already expected and later, have proven that the new Cubot X6 is absolutely responsive and buttery smooth. This is by far what we’ve deemed the phone’s vital asset.

You too will be amazed to see how such an affordable smartphone can complete many different actions with no delays, as we tried to toggle between home screens, widget layouts and applications. Loading of images are likewise very smooth. Opening and closing of applications are even twice as fast than on other high-powered Chinese smartphones like Zopo ZP998. No lags, no freezes.

I tried toggling between games that require high graphics performance like Asphalt 8: Airborne, Real Racing 3, and NFS: Most Wanted and I wasn’t a bit disappointed.

X6 Battery: Long-lasting

Battery life is definitely a key factor for high-powered smartphones so its owners could enjoy all day without having to charge every 3 to 4 hours. And we’re glad to know Cubot supplied the X6 with the 2200mAh battery — good enough to play NFS all day, literally.

X6 Camera: Neat capture but not impressive

Apparently, we’ve noticed that the 13MP back camera can hardly record details and also the color of the pictures is somewhat lifeless. In short, the X6 camera has low contrast and resolution.

Bottom Line

The Good

The new Cubot X6 proves that MTK6592 is definitely superior and better than the prior versions of MTK chipsets, given its smooth operation and fast  performance. On top of all its stock features is USB OTG, which allows you to just plug and play a thumb drive and copy files to and fro.

The Bad

Most notable weakness of the X6 is its low contrast, low resolution camera.
As for network connectivity, the X6 also lacks LTE service since the MTK6592 chipsets are purportedly not compatible with the LTE network. This means that users won’t be able to use the phone for 4G network access. In addition, the Cubot X6 also lacks the NFC module.

Conclusion

Bottom line, Cubot X6 is primarily schemed for swift performance operations in addition to its being affordable and highly responsive performance. If you’re into China phones, Cubot X6 is actually a good and powerful smartphone to start with.

It’s the battle of the processors. On one side we have Huawei’s own octa-core Kirin 920. On the other side we have Qualcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon 805. Who will emerge victorious?

The Kirin 920 was made using 28nm architecture and uses the big.Little framework. It consists of four Cortex-A15 (1-2.5GHz) cores and four Cortex-A7 (1.2-1.6 GHz) cores, both being very powerful cores. Its GPU is the Mali-T628, ARM’s newest GPU, which can support a display resolution of 2560 x 1600. Its frequency band is the BalongV7R2 which supports LTE Cat 6 (the Kirin 910’s built-in Balong V7R1 is Cat 4). It’s the first band to be integrated with the Cat 6. It also supports roaming, SGLTE/CSFB and 4G voice messaging programs like VoLTE.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805 is a 64-bit processor with each core having a main frequency of 2.7GHz. Its GPU is the Adren 420. It also supports high-resolution display screens. It uses the Gobi 9×35 modem and, like the Kirin 920, supports Cat 6. At most, it can run on 300mbps. It also supports Blue Ray 4.1, GPS and other features.

Samsung’ will release an LTE-A version of the Galaxy S5 with the Snapdragon 805 while Huawei’s Honor 6 will use the Kirin 920. Which one do you think will be better?

The TCL H900M is different from other 4G phones like the S830, S838, and J938. It probably has the most powerful functions out of all TCL’s phones. Mogu released its first batch of octa-core cellphones called the M6. The M6 resembles the Galaxy Note 3 and has a physical “Home” button at the bottom.

Everyone may notice the blank space at the back. Mogu can put your name there to personalize it. You can even put someone else’s name there if you are planning to give it to them as a gift.

The phone’s features are pretty standard.  It has a 5.7-inch IPS display screen with 1920*1080 resolution, a 5mP/13mP dual-camera, 2GB RAM, and 16GB ROM. It uses the MT6592 octa-core processor with a main frequency of 1.7GHz, and runs on a 2800mhA battery. It uses the Android 4.3 system and supports W+G dual-SIM internet.

Although Google is said to abandom Nexus series, there is new product to come out this year. Now, 2 developers from Germany found Nexus 6 and Nexus 8 words in Chromium’s source code, which means Nexus series will last at least 1 generation.

In fact, Source code from Chromium will usually leak some newest information about Google’s recent device and system, like the “Flounder “ of Nexus’s developing code.

Beside this, although it is not known what feature will Nexus 6 and Nexus 8 to be, the outside world is expecting the Nexus 6 will be produced by LG, and it is the mini edition of LG G3. Some rumors reckon the Nexus 6 will reduce the screen size to 5.2 inch, but it is still unknown wheter it supports 2K resolution. Besides, rumors indicate Google is communicating with some Asian fingerprint identification sensor provider, so the Nexus6 may have that function.

Worthy mentioned, according to “Taiwan economic daily”, Google’s Nexus 6 will use MTK’s 64-bit processor, detailed type is still unknown, which may be 1.5 GHz quad core MT6732 or 2.0GHz 8 core MT6752. It is predicted Google will choose one from these 2 and use it on the Nexus 6.

However, foreign website Android Geeks predict Google’s Nexus 6 will carry Krait 450 structured Quadcomm Snapdragon 805 quad core processor, and Adreno 420 graphics processor and 3GB RAM with 16/32GB storage space. The camera is still unknown.

Predicted to be launched in Autumu

Because Nexus series will build newest Android system, the Google I/O developers conference that open at 25th June is considered the launch time of the phone. However, depended on the exposure rate of Nexus 6, it is less possible to be release next month, and Google’s Nexus devices are always launch at autumn, it is predicted the Nexus 6 will follow the trend.

Claimed by Taiwanese media “electronic tmies”, Google choose to cooperate with HTC, will launch newest 8 inch tablet. If it is true, that means HTC will cooperate with Nexus series products again after 4years.

In recent years, many tablet manufacturers have decided to sell tablets with eight-core processors. These tablets use chips developed by MTK. CHUWI’s new product, the VX3 will use the MT6592 octa-core chip becoming one of the first tablets to use this chip.

The CHUWI VX3 will first be sold at JD.com for about 999 RMB （$159.74）from May 5 to 12.

The VX3 uses the octa-core MT6592 processor with a main frequency of 2GHz. It is the only 1000 RMB tablet that runs on it right now and uses a built-in 2GB DDR3 ram and 16GB memory space (expandable). It also has a 2Mp x 8Mp dual-camera (Samsung sensor/f/2.4 aperture/LED), and runs on a 3000mA battery.

The CHUWI VX3 runs on the Android 4.4 operating system and is customized. It can also support the WCDMA/GSM dual-SIM card and HDMI function as well as sensory functions commonly found in smart phones. Its measurements are 191 x 106 x 7.9mm.

In the recent released of octa-core mobile phone, Hasee was quite a unique one. It used 1.7 GHz octa-core processor and 1080 pixels screen display instead of the 1.4 GHz octa-core processor and 720 pixels screen display package normally found in the market.  Of course, the price was also worth of its “Price Butcher” title.

This newest octa-core mobile phone from Hasee is the model X50TS. Some of the specs included 5” screen display with1080p resolution, MT6592’s octa-core 1.7GHz processor, 2000mAh capacity battery and built-in 2GB RAM and 16G ROM. The phone also possessed a 5.0 MP front camera and a 14.0 MP rear camera.

Hasee X50TS was priced at 999 yuan ($160). In comparison, it is slightly stronger than the other 999 yuan ($160) octa-core mobile phones on the market. However, the 2000mAh battery is a bit too small, especially with a 1080p resolution display screen. In addition, the MT6592 processor was performaning at its ideal with the 1080p resolution; rather the processor functions better when it partnered with the 720p resolution screen.

The TCL Momoda’s (low) China Mobile and Unicom editions will soon enter the market. The high version is also expected to follow suit soon. The China Mobile version (high) is designated the TCL S725T. If the Unicom version is similarly named the same way, it would be called the S725.

Not surprisingly, the TCL S725T will use the MT6592 octa-core processor with a 1.7GHz main frequency, 2GB RAM, and up to 16G of memory space. It will also have a 5Mp front camera and 13Mp rear camera.

The design of the TCL Momoda China Mobile edition (high) has not changed. It uses a 3300mA battery and has a 5.5 inch screen with a 720p resolution and a deeply customized operating system. It also supports the TD+GSM double-SIM card and dual-microphone noise cancellation technology. It also has many different kinds of sensory functions such as an electric compass and gyroscope, and must notably, it supports Hotknot technology. The touch screens of both versions can facilitate data transmission at 10Mb/s.

The TCL Momoda high version is expected to hit the market on May Day and should not be more than 1000 RMB (about $161)

Although the news that the Vivo Xshot got 40,000 points in the benchmark test has not been verified, Shenzhen Oudu Lifang announced on their official Weibo account that they might release a mysterious “device” that got more than 40,000 points in its benchmark test and that it will run on an octa-core processing chip.

       Indeed, Oudu Lifang has been getting ready to put new octa-core product on the market, which some saying could be the Cube TALK69, which will also be the first product to be powered by the octa-core MTK6592 with a main frequency of 2GHz. Everyone knows that the basic framework of the MT8392 is similar to the MT6592. The idol X+ got about 33,000 points, so if the TALK69 is this “mysterious device,” then it is very doubtful that it got more than 40,000 points.

If it is, then the TALK69 should have 2GB of RAM, a 7 inch IPS screen with a 1920×1200 resolution, and many other features.

Tablet companies releasing octa-core products has become an interesting phenomenon in the last several years. Most of these have copied mobile phones by running on a 1.7GHz main frequency and a MTK6592 octa-core chip.

MediaTek MT6595 is a new SoC chipset, this processor has A17 chipser, HMP, G6200, and other advanced features.
The MediaTek is already release their new products, and ready to compete with Qualcomm Snapdragon 800. MediaTek has officially launch the MT6595 chipset, here is the detail about the new MT6595 octa-core II processor.

The MediaTek MT6595 series has another variant model, including MT6595 Turbo series that has highest frequency in their lineup which reached 2.4GHz ~ 2.5GHz, the regular MT6595 Standard version has 2.1GHz ~ 2.2GHz, while MT6595M is only has 2GHz ▼

Here is a detailed comparison between MT6595M and MT6595, yas you can see, there are many different things, especially GPU frequency of 600MHz dropped to 450MHz only.

It was once rumoured that Antutu system performance of MT6592 was almost 3o,ooo. But now official information available is in line with previous rumours.

Judging from the above pic , it is clear that Antutu performance of MT6592 runs ahead of comp.B and comp.A with 30,000 marks and enjoys advantages in consumption.  What’s more, according to MediaTek,  MT6592 with 2GHz will be appealing than this version with 1.7 GHz . It is eatimated that the Atutu performance of the former will be between 30,000 to 33,000.

Previous information shows that MT6592 applies 28 nanoprocess, integrates eight A7 processors and built in MALT quad-core graphic processor( model data unavailable), supports 1080p 30fps video decoder with latest HEVC/VP9 model (detailed data unavailable). But as most high-end products of MediaTek, MT6592 would support more apps. Balance betwwen performance and consumption is the priority considered by MediaTek, will MT6592 achieve this balance ? MediaTek will let you know soon with mass production of MT6592 with real octa-core in the end of this year .
