Redmi‘s general manager and spokesperson Wang Teng Thomas today announced that the Redmi K70E will get a limited time discount of 200 Yuan (~$28) starting tonight at 20:00 in China. After the discount, you can get the 12GB+256GB version for only 1799 Yuan (~$249). The 12GB+512GB and the 16GB+1TB variants comes at 1999 Yuan and 2399 Yuan respectively.

The Redmi K70E runs on Android 14-based HyperOS 1.0 and is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 8300-Ultra, that offers up to 20% higher CPU performance and 60% higher GPU performance than its predecessor. It also offers up to 30% higher power efficiency at peak performance. The phone also equips a 5000mm² stainless steel vapor cooling chamber to help make the demanding situations sustainable. And as a result, it achieves a score of over 1.52 million in AnTuTu.

You will be looking at a 6.67″ 1.5K flat AMOLED with significantly thin borders and a peak brightness of 1800 nits. It also comes with a 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, so if you are one of the people who face eye fatigue with a flickering screen, this phone won’t bother.

Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the new X Series, i.e., the Poco X6 and Poxo X6 Pro 5G, globally. The new lineup will succeed the Poxo X5 series, which was globally launched earlier this year. However, Xiaomi has not confined it officially, but the smartphone has already appeared on Thailand’s NBTC, IMEI, India’s BIS, and other certifications. The company has been teasing the features of these phones for the last few days. Also, we have been hearing about them for quite a while through leaks.

A total of three handsets will be unveiled. They are officially called Redmi K70 Pro, Redmi K70, and Redmi K70e.

Let’s take a look at everything that’s known about these products.

Redmi K70 Series Launch Date

The Redmi K70 series is scheduled to launch in China on November 29 (Wednesday). It will be announced at a press conference which will kickstart at 7 PM local time (GMT+8).

The event will be live-streamed on Weibo and other leading Chinese video streaming platforms.

The smartphones will be accompanied by multiple ecosystem products, such as Redmi Book 14/16 2024, Redmi Watch 4, and Redmi Buds 5 Pro.

Redmi K70 Series Design

The Redmi K70 series will arrive with a completely new design. The phones will have a flat frame body.

Further, they will house the largest camera module ever on a Redmi smartphone. The pro model will have a metal frame. As of writing this article, It is not known if the frame on the other two handsets will use the same material.

The volume rocker and the power key will be located on the right edge of the devices. While the top side will sport an IR blaster, and the bottom part will consist of a USB Type-C port as well as a speaker grille.

The duo will carry support for 120W wired charging. But the vanilla model is said to house a 5,000mAh battery as opposed to a 5,120mAh battery inside the pro variant.

In the upcoming week, at least four brands are set to host launch events in China. Meizu has already affirmed its plans to reveal the Meizu 21 series on Nov. 30. Huawei is expected to introduce the Enjoy 70 series and the MatePad Pro 11 (2023) tablet on Nov. 28. Realme is also poised to unveil the Realme GT 5 Pro, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, in the coming week. Notably, the major announcement scheduled for next week will be the Redmi K70 series. The Xiaomi sub-brand officially confirmed today that the Redmi K70 series will be unveiled at 7 pm (local time) on November 29.

The Xiaomi 14 series is rumored to launch in November. The company’s next-gen flagship smartphones are expected to be the first devices to house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip.

These phones will be accompanied by other products. One of them will likely be MIUI 15, the next iteration of Xiaomi’s mobile software based on Android.

We have been hearing about it for months, just like the phones. The latest findings reveal that the software has hit the stable channel for internal tests.

According to Xiaomiui, MIUI 15 stable builds are ready for internal test purposes. The publication has spotted builds for several unreleased devices.

Currently, MIUI 15 stable is ready for five products. Xiaomiui suggests their names to be following based on build numbers.

Xiaomi is working on a new line of Redmi smartphones called the K70 series. It will be Redmi’s flagship offering, and a report by Xiaomiui suggests that the device may launch in December.

The launch date of the K70 series smartphones has been tipped in the MIUI 15 builds based on Android 14. The Redmi K70 series will likely comprise three different models, each with its own model number: Redmi K70 Pro (23117RK66C), Redmi K70 (2311DRK48C), and Redmi K70E (23113RKC6C). As a result, the builds are currently being tested on the China ROM for all three devices.

The internal MIUI 15 builds spotted by Xiaomiui for these models are MIUI-V15.0.0.2.UNLCNXM, MIUI-V15.0.0.2.UNKCNXM, and MIUI-V15.0.0.1.UNMCNXM, respectively.
