Huawei’s budget-friendly Wiko smartphone is rumored at around $280

Recently, rumors surfaced about Huawei‘s plan to introduce a new smartphone under its Wiko ecosystem brand. Now, new speculation from reliable tipster Beijing Digital Master hints that this smartphone might be priced at around 2000 yuan, approximately $280.

The rumored Wiko line, known as Xingyao in Chinese, could serve as a means for Huawei to extend the reach of its HarmonyOS operating system to budget-conscious users. Recently, a Wiko smartphone appeared on 3C certification, suggesting it would feature 40W charging.

Details about this upcoming device remain scarce at the moment, but more information is expected to surface soon.

According to our previous report, the smartphone could be a rebranded version of the Enjoy 70 Pro launched last month.

For a quick recap, the Enjoy 70 Pro features a 6.7-inch FHD+ display with a centered punch-hole design. Since it is a budget phone, the screen doesn’t offer a higher refresh rate, but interestingly has an always-on display (AOD) feature.

Under the hood, it houses an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chip and runs on HarmonyOS 4. It is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage.

In terms of photography, the smartphone features a 108MP primary camera, accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor and an 8MP selfie shooter. Connectivity options include support for dual SIM, 4G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS, and USB Type-C.

For biometric authentication, it offers a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, while its power is fueled by a sizable 5,000mAh battery with 40W wired charging support.

The Huawei Enjoy 70 Pro comes in two memory configurations: 8GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, priced at ¥1,499 and ¥1,699 respectively. Color options include Emerald Green, Snowy White, and Obsidian Black.

Here’s Another Look At Lenovo’s Transparent Screen Laptop

Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 is just around the corner. The tech exhibition will commence on February 26 in Spain, Barcelona. Previously, it was reported that Lenovo would showcase the world’s first transparent laptop at the upcoming event. Now, tipster Evan Blass (aka evleaks) has shared a leaked image giving us another look at the transparent laptop concept.

Another look at the Lenovo transparent laptop

LG showcased the world’s first transparent OLED TV at CES last month. Now Lenovo is set to do the same in the laptop segment at MWC. At first glance, the device seems to appear as a dual screen laptop which are gaining traction in the market. The display on the Lenovo concept laptop is entirely transparent with a bezel-less design. A non-transparent frame can be seen surrounding the entire device.

The deck on the machine also looks transparent with the reflection of the wallpaper on the display. We could also spot key caps illuminated in the Blue border. Per a previous report, the main components are housed in and under the chin which is the area that’s not transparent. The laptop pretty much follows Lenovo’s signature design language.

The image shared by Evan Blass also reveals three ports on the right side along with a power button. There is also a stylus pen that could indicate its support on the Lenovo transparent laptop. The device runs Windows 11 OS.

The rest of the core specifications of the Lenovo transparent screen laptop remain unknown. We should learn more about it at MWC which is only less than two weeks away.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra renders reveal front design, skips curved display for a flat panel

The highly anticipated Xiaomi 14 Ultra is set to be announced soon and has been spotted in various leaks and rumors recently. Now, the latest report has offered us a better look at the front design of the flagship smartphone, which is apparently bringing one major change. So let’s have a look.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra: First Ultra model to ditch a curved screen?

New renders were shared by MySmartPrice earlier today (15th February 2024). The publication previously shared renders that showcased the rear design of the upcoming device, and now, we have a proper look at the front side as well. These renders showcase rounded corners with minimal bezels on all four sides of the screen. A center aligned punch hole cutout is also visible, which will house the selfie camera.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra

However, the notable aspect that we can observe is the presence of a flat display panel. Previous iterations of the Ultra models had launched with a curved screen on the side edges. But this time around, it appears that the Chinese tech giant is skipping it in favor of the flat display on the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. If this is true, then the 14 Ultra model is the first top end flagship smartphone from the brand to make this change.

Based on what we know so far, the front is expected to sport a tall 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display that offers a 120Hz variable refresh rate, QHD+ resolution, and an under-display fingerprint scanner. The punch hole cutout may house a 32-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. Apart from this, the pricing of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra was recently leaked, and it appeared in the MIIT database as well today.

New Samsung battery certified by Safety Korea, may be Intended for Galaxy Z Fold 6

Samsung‘s highly anticipated foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, are expected to be unveiled later this summer. As the release date approaches, supply chain leaks are beginning to reveal details about the devices.

A recent certification from Safety Korea, a regulatory agency, confirms the development of a new battery likely intended for the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The newly certified battery carries the model number EB-BF957ABY-L.

The battery photographs from Safety Korea reveal a design that includes a pull tab. This pull tab is expected to enhance the device’s repairability by making battery replacements easier.

While the battery’s capacity remains unknown, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is likely to continue with the dual-battery system seen in earlier Fold models. It’s possible this primary battery unit will be paired with a second, smaller battery that also includes the pull-tab feature for easier repairs.

Previous leaks suggested that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 may include larger batteries. It’s plausible that Samsung is adopting a similar strategy for the Galaxy Z Fold 6, though this has not been confirmed.

Additional rumors indicate that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 could feature a wider cover screen. There’s also speculation that Samsung may be working on a separate foldable device altogether, potentially with a rollable or dual-folding display design, which could debut this year.

Right now, there’s no solid info on when Samsung will release the next Galaxy Z-series foldable phones. However, based on previous patterns, they’re likely to launch in Q3, 2024, at the second Galaxy Unpacked event of the year. We’ll keep you updated as more information comes in.

Honor Magic 6 RSR MIIT certification

A new Honor device, likely the Honor Magic 6 RSR, has received certification from the MIIT authority in China under the model number BAL-AN20.
