Elon Musk’s Twitter sues four individuals for illegal data scrapping

Elon Musk has been serious about putting an end to data scraping. In early July, the billionaire imposed temporary Tweet limits “to address extreme levels of data scraping and platform manipulation.” Now, Musk’s X Corp. is suing four unnamed individuals over allegations of illegal data scraping from Twitter. Filed in a Dallas County, Texas, court on July 6, the lawsuit seeks over $1 million in damages.

Twitter is not amused by data scraping

As reported by CNBC, X Corp., the parent company of Twitter, sued four unknown individuals last week over data scraping. Musk’s company seeks more than $1 million in damages for “unlawfully scraping data associated with Texas residents,” according to the report. The filing of the case states that the defendants allegedly contracted with operators of data-processing facilities in Dallas County, Texas.

Twitter

According to the filing, the company has been unable to determine the identity of the individuals. However, in place of names, attorneys for X Corp. have provided a list of four IP addresses.

For the unknown, data scraping is a technique where a computer program extracts data from a website or other online source. This data can then be used for a variety of purposes, such as market research, price comparison, or even social media monitoring.

Elon Musk put the kibosh on data scraping by limiting how many tweets users could read each day. Unverified accounts were capped at a measly 600 posts, while verified (read: paid) accounts were allowed to view a generous 6,000 tweets. The defendants in this lawsuit were apparently responsible for those limits. “These requests have severely burdened X Corp’s servers. and degrading the user experience for millions of X Corp.’s customers,” the suit says.

Live images of Infinix Nothing Phone (2) lookalike show it’s not half bad

In a juicy new leak, a tipster revealed yesterday that Infinix is working on a phone that looks like the Nothing Phone (2). The source also shared a schematic image of the alleged handset, which showed LED light markings on its back. Until now, this was just a rumor, but now live images of this purported smartphone have appeared online. The images show that the phone does indeed share some similarities with Nothing’s phone. Let’s have a look at the details.

Infinix GT 10 Pro+ is what the company calls it

Infinix is reportedly preparing a new GT series of gaming-centric smartphones for the Indian market. The lineup will include at least two phones: the Infinix GT 10 Pro and the Infinix GT 10 Pro+. While the Pro model is unremarkable, the Pro+ is more interesting. According to live images shared on Weibo, the Infinix GT 10 Pro+ will have a transparent back, similar to the Phone (2).

The back of the device features random orange patterns and a C-shaped marking, which may be for LED lights. The phone seems to take some inspiration from the Phone (2), but Carl Pei probably won’t need to call his lawyers. The Infinix smartphone doesn’t look bad at all, and it even resembles gaming phones like the recently launched Red Magic 8S Pro.

The leaked images also reveal most specs of the two phones (Via The Tech Outlook). Both GT 10 Pro phones get a Full HD+ display, 5000mAh battery, and 108MP main cam on the rear. They also get a 32MP selfie camera. The Pro model packs the Dimensity 1300 chip with 8 GB + 8GB (virtual) RAM and 256 GB storage. The Infinix GT 10 Pro+, which should be a more premium offering, boasts the Dimensity 8050 chipset. Both models run XOS 13.0, based on Android 13.

Nintendo Switch 2 could be mere months away from launch

The Nintendo Switch successor’s launch might be just around the corner. The company’s highly anticipated Switch 2 model has surfaced in new rumors that hint at a launch that isn’t too far away.

Nintendo Switch 2 could launch in 2024

Nintendo’s Switch 2 is apparently set to launch sometime next year. The news arrives from court documents from the recent Microsoft and FTC case. In a particular paragraph, Microsoft mentions the successor of the Switch. The document reads “Switch was released three years earlier, and Nintendo is expected to release the successor to the Switch as early as next year, whereas PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X|S are at a different stage of the console life cycle”.

Nintendo Switch 2

This means that Nintendo’s competitors in the gaming space are expecting the next-gen handheld console to launch in 2024. Although, Doug Bowser, President of Nintendo, feels that the Switch still has a couple of years left. Earlier this year, the official stated that “It’s exciting to see that demand is still there. So nothing to announce on any future console or device, but we are still feeling very bullish about Nintendo Switch.”

Keep in mind that this is still just an unconfirmed report, so take this news with a pinch of salt for now. Back in June, we also covered another report where an Activision Blizzard executive claimed that the Nintendo Switch 2 could be just as powerful as the Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One. So stick around for more updates regarding this matter.

My experience with the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra

Today we’re going to talk about my experience with the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra. I know, this video is coming a little late. We actually got this phone quite a while ago, and I’ve been using it for a while now. This video is not only to talk to you guys about my experience with it, but it’s also to set the stage for the next video.

The Razr 40 Standard Edition is the cheapest foldable phone so far, but it has rarely been reviewed. Next video, the Standard Edition will be the protagonist, this time let’s start with a quick check of the Ultra version.

Pros

When it comes to the Razr 40 Ultra, the largest external display has to be its biggest advantage. While Moto has designed a lot of mini-games for it, and also almost all apps can be displayed on this screen. The place where it helps me the most is when replying to messages, when I get a message and I want to reply to it, the screen is big enough for a full-size keyboard so I didn’t hit the wrong key while typing.

I also want to thank Motorola for not removing the wireless charging, this kind of foldable phone has a shorter battery life, so wireless charging is a very important and convenient way of charging. Although it also has some limitations, it is better than nothing.

Camera

Because of the limited size, the performance of the two cameras is not quite good, it’s just a little better than a normal $300 cell phone. It’s fine for capturing life, but it’s a bit of a pain in the butt when it comes to long-distance shooting.

Zooming in at less than 3x is acceptable, but at more than 3x it won’t be able to provide you with clear photos.

Since the Razr 40 Ultra can be half-folded, you can use it like MiniDV Camcorders. I kinda like recording videos in this way.

Cons

Although Motorola has made many foldable phones like this, there are still some issues that need to be fixed. For example, the SIM slot only supports one SIM card. I don’t know if it’s easy to get an eSIM in your area, but it’s a hassle for me here anyway. So I would prefer it to have two SIM cards instead of an eSIM.

Gaming has always been a nightmare for such small foldable phones, and the Razr 40 Ultra doesn’t really perform well either. Even though it has a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, it only managed to stay around 30fps most of the time in Genshin Impact. The temperature isn’t that low, and the gaming experience is kind of bad.

For wireless charging, you have to have one of those flat charging pad. Otherwise, you might not be able to charge it with any random dock you have, whether folded or not.

I can actually live with these things I just mentioned. After all, many foldable phones have similar issues, we can’t blame Moto alone. But the system issues are unique to the Razr 40. My biggest complaint is about the keyboard. Moto does not allow swiping from the side to go back in the keyboard area, which made me very uncomfortable when I first switched to this phone.

Another example is: I can understand why I need to tap to see new messages, because of the need for privacy. But I can’t understand why you still need to tap the battery icon to check the battery level, it doesn’t make any sense! iPhone users should know how annoying this is, and I think Motorola should solve this problem.

Conclusion

To be honest, I’m not a fan of foldable phones. For the few weeks with the Razr 40 Ultra, I used it as a regular phone. The only time I closed it was when I want to put it in my pocket. Because no matter how big the external screen gets, it’s still too small for me. Plus it’s not really cheap, I actually feel struggled to recommend foldable phones to most people. it’s not worth it for you to spend more money just to fold your phone up.

But if you don’t have to spend more money, and it’s about the same price as a regular phone, then I think it’s still acceptable. So this is why we are more interested in the Moto Razr 40 Standard Edition. Remember to subscribe to our channel, the review of Razr 40 Standard Edition will be ready soon.
