The V8 Kit is a compact, lightweight, and quiet device to install. The company says it can be installed on any bicycle and it weighs just 950g. The lightweight design of the conversion kit means that it can be carried out on trips and used on even a rental bicycle. The V8 kit has a maximum power output of 900W. Its design however potentially results in power losses. The power is transferred to the back wheel via a roller system.

The motor is not sufficiently sturdy to withstand off-road riding and it can be damaged easily in such scenarios. This is because rock or debris could cause the roller to wear down rapidly.

The GBoost V8 kit is appropriate for urban commuting and leisure rides on urban roads. The bike conversion kit is offered in three battery configurations. The first option comes with a 250Wh battery, while the second option is a 375Wh battery pack. The top battery option is the 453Wh pack.

This will be accompanied by a specially-themed user interface (UI).

Screengrabs shared by Kacper Skryzpek confirm that the device will have custom wallpapers and app icons, all matching the theme of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. While there are numerous cosmetic changes, the hardware will remain the same. The special Xiaomi Civi 3 Disney 100th Anniversary Edition will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200-Ultra chip out of the box.

The processor will be paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 flash storage. The smartphone boasts a 6.55-inch OLED curved display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and Dolby Vision/HDR10+ certification. The panel gets 12-bit color depth and 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming along with a peak brightness of 1500nit.

It gets 32MP front bionic dual main camera and a triple camera setup on the front, headlined by a 50MP main sensor. It packs a 4500mAh battery with 67W fast charging.

The Realme C series has seen some intersting launches recently, and the smartphones in the lineup bear resemblance to iPhones in more than one way. Now, a new C series smartphone, dubbed Realme C51 has appeared on multiple certification sites, hinting at an imminent launch.

A Realme smartphone with model number RMX3830 has bagged NBTC certification, hinting it might launch very soon. As per the listing, the device will be called Realme C51. The moniker makes it easy to guess that the device will arrive as a mid-range device, like the last two recent launches in the series. Further, the Realme C51 with the same model has received the EEC certification and has also been spotted on BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) website, confirming the launch in India as well. It has also received the TKDN and TUV Rheinland certifications.

Details about the Realme C51 smartphone are scarce at the moment but we hope to learn more in the days to come. To recall, the latest Realme C53 comes with a Unisoc T612 chipset which is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It is a rebranded version of Narzo N53, which debuted only recently. The smartphone gets a 6.74-inch IPS LCD display with an HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and 560 nits of peak brightness.

The new product from the brand is officially called Teclast P26T. It is cheaper than most budget smartphones on the market.

A capable tablet for just $70

The Teclast P26T is a budget tablet built around a 10.1-inch display. The LCD panel offers a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.

It is powered by an Allwinner A523 SoC paired with 4GB RAM. This chip consists of an octa-core CPU featuring ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz.

The tablet does not come with a SIM card slot. However, it arrives with dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.2.

On the rear, it houses a dual camera system. The setup includes a 5MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor.

As for software, the tablet boots Android 13. It provides support for up to 4GB virtual RAM. Finally, it draws energy from a 5,000mAh battery.

Talking about the pricing, it retails at ¥499 (~$70) in China. This makes it probably the cheapest tablet in the world or at least one of the cheapest.

Teclast products are sold globally. But it’s not known when P26T will hit the international markets.

We already know that Chinese smartphones brands OnePlus, Oppo, and Realme fall under BBK Electronics. However, it appears that this is now changing as the parent entity seems to be making is establishing each of these companies as completely individual.

OnePlus, Oppo, & Realme are technically no longer sibling brands

BBK announced recently that the three smartphone makers will now function completely as individual entities. Interestingly, this news move also arrives as the Indian Government is seeking to tighten the reins around Chinese tech giants. For those unaware, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence has accused various China based brands of various illegal business practices that include customs violations, money laundering, tax evasion, and more.

In the recent past, Oppo India was accused of evading customs duty that was worth a whopping 4,389 crores INR or roughly 531 million US Dollars. After this, the authorities freezing the bank accounts of Oppo that had 2,082 crore INR. This was a big blow to Oppo’s Indian operations and even BBK’s considering that it was responsible for the distribution of OnePlus and Realme branded products as well in the region.

So now, BBK Electronics are making the three companies completely individual, with each having their own legal companies. This includes OnePlus technology and Realme Mobile Telecommunications in India. BBK Electronics will now face lower risk to their business operations in the region in the region as each firms are technically separated from one another, while OnePlus and Realme are currently in search for new contract manufacturers as well as establishing their individual contracts with retailers and distributors.

Back in January 2023, Lenovo showcased their Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Twist, a convertible 4-in-1 laptop at CES 2023 conference. The laptop was among the most highlighted products of the event. It was stated that the commercial sale would start sometime in June. Now that we have entered the said month, Lenovo’s official website has the device’s specifications listed. This hints at the imminent sale of the product.

The Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Twist is a dual-screen laptop, offering a 13.3-inch primary OLED panel with 2.8K pixel resolution, up to 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, and touch input. As for the secondary display, it is a 12-inch screen using an electronic ink panel with a pixel resolution of 2560 x 160 and support for touch input. Users can not just open/close the hinge normally, but can also flip it horizontally, allowing them to seamlessly switch between the panels.

Further, it is powered by 13th Gen Intel Core-U series processors coupled with up to 16 GB LPDDR5x RAM and 1 TB of SSD. The device weighs around 1.35 kg with a thickness of 17.7 mm.

For connectivity, it has got two USB Type-C ports for charging as well as data transfer and a 3.5 mm headphone jack for audio out. It also brings support for stylus input. Moreover, the gadget packs in a 56Wh battery. The device was previously revealed to retail at $1,649, but there’s no word on the official sale date yet.

China’s first home-grown large cruise liner, the Adora Magic City, weighing 135,500 tonnes, departed from its dock in Shanghai on Tuesday. This marks a major breakthrough for China’s shipbuilding and high-end manufacturing industries, following the recent launch of the C919 passenger jet.

The construction of the Adora Magic City took nearly four years to complete. The cruise liner will now undergo a series of sea trials, further solidifying China’s growing presence in the maritime industry. Shanghai’s Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of the state-owned China State Shipbuilding Corporation, manufactured this large cruise liner.

The ship measures 323.6 meters in length and weighs 135,500 tons. It features a total of 2,125 guest rooms and has the capacity to accommodate 5,246 people. Following a six-day floating process, the ship departed from Shanghai. The next step for the vessel involves berthing at an SWS wharf, where final testing and interior work will be carried out.

The vessel is as tall as a 24-floor building. It comprises 14 decks, accommodating a wide range of leisure and accommodation areas that span over 40,000 square meters of public space. Notably, it will house China’s largest duty-free retail space at sea. Moreover, the Adora Magic City holds the distinction of being the world’s first cruise ship equipped with 5G technology, enabling advanced connectivity capabilities onboard.

The trial voyage of the ship is scheduled to commence in July, followed by a second trial voyage in August. The primary objective is to successfully complete and deliver the ship before the conclusion of the year. Following the two sea trials, the ship is scheduled for delivery by the end of 2023. Commercial operation is expected to commence in 2024.

Departing from Shanghai, the ship is set to embark on voyages to Japan and Southeast Asia, catering to medium and long routes along the Maritime Silk Road.

The Adora Magic City has achieved the distinction of being the world’s most intricate single electromechanical vessel. With an impressive count of over 25 million parts, it surpasses the number of individual components utilized in China’s inaugural domestic aircraft, the C919. Amazfit is reportedly working on new smartwatch series. The brand is expected to launch the Amazfit Cheetah and Amazfit Cheetah Pro. Now tipster Roland Quandt has shared leaked renders of the two smartwatch models on Twitter. The images give us a look at the upcoming offerings.

The leaked images reveal that the Amazfit Cheetah and Cheetah Pro will feature a circular dial. Both devices have a rotating crown and a physical button on the right side. The smartwatches will feature a metal unibody. The non-pro model is seen with a silicone strap whereas the pro variant has a fabric band with an Orange-color accent.

The renders also reveal that the Amazfit Cheetah and Cheetah Pro will come with various health-monitoring and tracking features such as heart rate and activity tracker.

Apart from the aforementioned information, the renders do not reveal any additional details. The core specifications of the Amazfit Cheetah and Cheetah Pro remain unknown. We expect to learn more details about the upcoming smartwatches in the near future.

Redmi has a new device prepared for its numbered series called the Redmi 12. A recent leak revealed that the design of this device is quite similar to the iPhone 14 Pro. Now, a new report has emerged with the pricing, color options, and availability details of the Redmi 12.

Tipster Paras Guglani, in collaboration with NewzOnly, has revealed that the Redmi 12 is expected to carry a price tag of approximately $155 (around Rs 12,790) for its base variant, which offers 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The tipster also suggests that the Redmi 12 could hit the market and be available for sale within the next 10 days.

Furthermore, the tipster reveals that the Redmi 12 will be launched in three attractive color options: Blue, Black, and Silver. These color options will be marketed as Sky Blue, Midnight Black, and Polar Silver respectively.
