Ever since Nibiru’s first cell phone, the H1, made the company famous, many have been anticipating their next product. Recently, a lot of news has been coming that Nibiru’s new phone will be called the H1C.
Photos and information on the phone were leaked to the internet a few days ago.
As the photo above shows, this mysterious device is has two colors and its design is similar to the H1’s. However, unlike the H1 where the micro USB port is located at the bottom of the phone between the front and back (see the photo below), in the new phone, the microphone and USB port will be located at the front side.
There has not been any confirmation on what the phone in the first picture actually is but it’s most likely the Nibiru H1C. According to the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the H1C will use a 5-inch display screen, have 2GB RAM, run on the Android 4.2 operating system, and its design will be similar to the H1’s.
Right now, Nibiru is hosting a photo taking contest and will give out a new products as prizes. Perhaps we’ll see the H1C sooner than we thought.
Based on the photo, the Malata S500 looks like it can give the user a nice aesthetic feeling. The front side is completely black while the back and middle frames are blue. The back cover has a grainy design. The Malata S500 also has a more slender design, measuring 143.6 x 72.2 x 8.3mm.
From the model number, we know that the S500 will not be as advanced as Malata’s other new phone, the Sage S510, but its features are still pretty standard. It has a 5-inch HD screen, a 2mP/8mP camera, and 1GB + 16GB memory. It also uses a 2250mha battery and its operating system is the Android 4.2. Its features are more comprehensive. It supports OTG and sensory programs like a gyroscope.
According to official reports, the Malata S500 uses the MTK6582 quad-core chip. Surprisingly, the ad they released shows that it will support 4G internet. It will probably use the MT6582 LTE Edition.
If it’s true, then the Malata S500 will join the ranks of DOOV and ALCATEL as LTE phones that will use quad-core MTK chipsets.

The MT6582 is good considering that it’s a low-end product of Mediatek. The screen’s resolution is excellent considering the price. I also liked the ROM size since it allows users to install application with an SD and has 2.6gb for internal storage.
As for what I didn’t like, the camera is terrible (whether in video or photo mode. It’s at the same level as the Lenovo A850. The flash is very weak.

It looks similar to MIUI and I didn’t have a lot of problems with it. One problem though is that it does not ask if you want to unlock your SIM until you make your first call. In addition, when it starts, there is a message saying that loading stopped when this application is not installed.
The memory is also very good and is enough for you to install an SD card.

ZTE has recently released a white edition of their 3G smart phone, the U5S. Unlike the black and white color scheme used by the China Telecom N5S, it’s completely white except for the silver sidebars giving it a more trendy feeling. While ZTE has not made an official announcement on the U5S’s cost, unexpectedly, it is listed in JD with the cost of only 699 RMB. The U5S is worth considering more than the 599 RMB Q705U which has the same screen ratio as the former but does not have the U5S’ 5.7-inch 720p screen and powerful resolution.
The U5S also uses the MTK6589T quad-core processor which has a main frequency of 1.5GHz. It also has 1GB + 4GB memory and a 1mP/8mP dual-camera. It also runs on a 3200mhA battery and uses the Android 4.2 operating system. It also supports an electric compass, TDS + GSM dual-SIM and Dolby audio.

Today, Xiaomi announced that they would hold promotional sales event for the summer. They will lower the Mi 3’s price to 1499 RMB (240.87 USD). As one of the most popular smart phone brands in China right now, anything done by Xiaomi will surely get the public’s attention. This sale sounds like a good idea but might not be popular with some people.
Some suspect that the reason for the price drop is that Xiaomi is selling off the rest of what they have left. It had been selling so well when it was 1999 RMB (321.10 USD) that some even suspect that Xiaomi is secretly trying to sell previously used but restored phones which did not sit well with Lei Jun who posted a sharp response in his Weibo account.
He said, “Seriously? If you don’t like it, don’t buy it. Let those who want to buy it take advantage of this so that I won’t be accused of hunger marketing again.”
This week, everyone is at home watching the World Cup Series. Weibo is filled with World Cup tags. But Xiaomi has been unwilling to stay out of the limelight. They lowered the price of the Mi 3 from 1699 RMB (273 USD) by two 200 RMB (32.14 USD) in a promotional sale and there’s no need for anyone to rush into stores.
Why would Xiaomi avoid the attention given to the World Cup and choose this moment for their sale? Here is our analysis.
I. Behind Xiaomi’s price drop
Xiaomi usually releases a new device about every August, but the device they’re releasing this time is just the beginning. For some devices being developed, we can only wait for about a month before they can start small-scale tests, and wait until the end of the year for large-scale ones. The reason for the delay of the Mi 3 China Unicom version is because of Qualcomm’s supply of goods.
Around every April is Xiaomi’s golden week. There are no problems with supply and production at this time. Costs for hardware are relatively much lower than the rest of the year. Sales are high and so is the profit made.
It was usually at this time when the competition heated up. Back then, the Mi 1 was challenged by 360 warships. Timid and nervous, the Mi 1 did everything it could to fight.
Xiaomi also lowered the price of the Mi 2, releasing the Mi 2A and Mi 2S.
In June, just two months before they release their new devices, Xiaomi lowered the price of all their devices in stock. So, it should not be surprising that they lowered the price of the Mi 3 from 1699 RMB to 1499 RMB (240.78 USD) at this time.
II. The competition behind Xiaomi’s promotional sale
It should be said that unlike before, the 1499 RMB price is the Mi 3’s price in Xiaomi’s official online store which has an unlimited number of them. Before, whether they cost 1799 RMB or 1299 RMB, people had to rush to buy them.
Not letting customers fight each other for Mi’s phones meant that competition was fierce and that they had a lot in stock. Xiaomi can no longer practice double pricing to make a bigger profit.
Actually, ever since the Mi 1, there has always been competition. First, there was the arrival of Zhong Hongyi. When Xiaomi released the Mi 2, they had to compete with Huawei’s Honor 2 and Lenovo’s K860.
Xiaomi’s true challenge came when they released the Mi 3. The Nubia z5s beat Xiaomi by installing the Qualcomm 800. More rivals have appeared non-stop. The seriousness of the problem is due to the fact that their rivals studied Xiaomi’s policies in double pricing and letting buyers compete with each other.
The ZTE Grand S II costs 1699 RMB (272.64 USD) while the Oneplus costs 1999 RMB (321.21 USD). The Xiaomi’s so-called advantage in price advantage is no longer obvious.
Actually, the Mi 1 was really powerful. It had great hardware and UI. Other than the way it looked and the camera, there was no competition.
By the time the Mi 3 came out, its rivals were already very powerful. For example, there was no way Xiaomi could compete with the Snapdragon 800 and Snapdragon 801, their 2 GB or 3 GB memory, 16 GB to 64 GB flash memory, 13mP IMX214, and 1080P display screens.
At the same time, Gionee, Vivo, and Oppo’s had customized cameras, HiFi, and HTC, which Xiaomi did not have.
As for software, the miui is still in progress but its rivals are already being developed at a faster rate. OPPO’s Color OS and its features are amazing. I won’t review ZTE’s Shenmei but ZTE has very careful with its performance. Vivo, Gionee, Huawei, and Coolpad all have perfect UIs.
When it comes appearance and workmanship, Xiaomi always believed that the best way to design is to have no design. Later, it will be changed to “the best designs are other people’s designs.” This is will happen when their weaknesses appear in their hardware and software.
III. Xiaomi’s future
The number of phones created by Xiaomi has grown rapidly over the last several years. It has become a king in the smart phone industry. However, the smart phone industry is starting to come of age.
It’s the beginning of homogenization for smart phones. Other than its first two years, Xiaomi has not had great competitive strength.
Xiaomi will probably make cell phones at a slower rate. If they don’t release a winner into the market, then they will have to find another way to grow. They could try selling their products in the international market.
ZTE has ready to release their new premium smartphone Nubia Z7, this phone is not release yet but we have the leaked of screenshot picture of those phone and revealed some interesting facts.
