While we still don’t know the exact specifications of the device, earlier rumors had hinted that the phone might come with Mediatek’s latest Helio X20 chipset. However, a few hours ago, a new leak revealed some interesting specifications of the device.

Some of the specs are in line with what we have been expecting till now like the 4GB of RAM and 1080p display resolution. However, one of the biggest surprises of the leak was the CPU. According to this leak, the Vivo X6 will feature the mid-range 1.7GHz MT6752 octa-core 64-bit chip as opposed to the much more powerful Helio X20 deca-core chip. This is really surprisingly and hard to believe given that the phone will come with pretty high-end features and a chip like MT6752 won’t be able to extract the full potential from the device.

Another surprise is the Mali-T760 MP4 GPU on board which is much inferior to the new generation Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. Despite having 4GB of RAM on board, a mid-range chipset won’t help the phone in the performance segment.

The camera is said to be of 12MP both on the front as well as the back which is once again a bit odd.

However, remember that this is just a leak and Vivo has not yet confirmed the processor inside the X6. So, for now, its best to wait for an official teaser or spec sheet from the company before getting disappointed.

Still what do you think? Will you be happy with MT6752 on board a flagship like Vivo X6?

Mediatek’s MT6795 will reportedly bring the 64-bit architecture to the high end platform and now, we have a glimpse of what could be the first smartphone to use this processor.

A recent entry on GFXBench reveals some of the details of a device code named k6795v1_64. The entry is interesting because it shows that the phone runs on the MT6795 processor along with 3GB RAM. MT6795 is based on the ARM’s Cortex A53 architecture (not A57 which is a lot more powerful but battery consuming) with eight cores clocked at 1.9GHz. For GPU, the phone has PowerVR G6200. The listing also reveals that the phone features a 5MP camera and a 4.6-inch 2K display! Finally, it comes with 32GB internal storage and runs on the latest Android 5.0 OS.

The overall specifications of the phone are quite unusual, especially with a 2K display on a 4.6-inch screen as well as a low end 5MP shooter.

However, we think this might be a test unit and not a retail product. Companies are known to test their products on various benchmark sites before releasing it publicly and this just might be the case here. One more reason why we think this is the test unit is because of the naming. The phone is code named k6795v1_64, development board. So, this could just be a unit assembled for testing the capability of the processor.

We expect a lot of new high end affordable smartphones with 2K display and even 3GB RAM to feature this powerful 64-bit MT6795 processor. It could be even mainstream companies like HTC, which is rumored to release a Mediatek powered variant of its flagship device, HTC One M9 in the coming months.

Anyways, stay tuned to the website for more details. Also, check out the GFXBench link down below for more info.

When there are no improvements done on a phone’s apps and features, there is not really any point in using a processor with so many cores. Qualcomm has said this in regards to why they do not use more cores.

So far, the company that has gone the farthest in developing multi-core cell phone processors is MediaTek. Although Samsung and Qualcomm have produced octa-core processors, none have been able to produce as much as MediaTek. Now, reports say that MediaTek is planning to go even further by releasing a processor with 10 or maybe even 12 cores.

An insider in the cell phone industry revealed that MediaTek is currently coming up with a groundbreaking processor with more than 8 cores. It may have up to 10 and even 12 cores. If things go smoothly, we can expect to see this new multi-core processor in 2015. It will be another great achievement from the Chinese cell phone CPU company. So the question is, is the cell phone world ready for a 10-core or 12-core CPU processor? We will find out soon enough.

MediaTek, or MTK, is a pretty popular cell phone CPU manufacturer in the Chinese mobile phone industry. A lot of companies use their processors. Last year, the company released a series of 64-bit cell phone chips including the MT6795. It was recently reported by the Taiwanese press that HTC will be the first cell phone company to use this processor for its upcoming cell phone, the HTC Hima M9. The MT6795 is a 64-bit octa-core processor with a frequency of 2.2GHz. The Jiayu S3, released last year, also uses a 64-bit processor from MediaTek. This one is called the MTK MT6752 octa-core processor.

Which of these companies will be the first to use a 10-core processor from MediaTek? We’ll find out soon.

December 23 will be a big day for Meizu. This is when they will launch their new brand, “Meizu Blue Charm”. The products in this brand include cell phones, smart bands, a router, tablet, and even a television set. Based on the invitation to the launch which was sent out yesterday, it looks like it will be similar to the iPhone 5C. Although Meizu will release a lot of products, the stars of the show will still be, first and foremost, their cell phones. Meizu is planning to release two versions of the Meizu Blue Charm cell phone with different sizes. Only the big-screened version will make its debut on December 23.

It was recently reported that there is a version with a 5-inch display screen and a version with a 5.5-inch display screen. One will simply be called the “Meizu Blue Charm” phone, while the other will be called the “Meizu Blue Charm Note”. The one that will make its first appearance on December 23 is the Meizu Blue Charm Note which is the one with a 5.5-inch display screen and 16:9 contrast ratio. Its CPU chip is MTK’s MT6752 octa-core processor. As for memory, it has 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM. The Meizu Blue Charm Note also sports a 5mp front-facing camera and 13mp rear-facing camera. Not surprisingly, it will retain Meizu’s classic small round Home button.

Whereas the Meizu Blue Charm Note will appear a few weeks from now, we can expect the Meizu Blue Charm phone to be launched some time during the 2015 Q1 season. The Meizu Blue Charm and Meizu Blue Charm Note may cost 799 RMB (129.08 USD) and 999 RMB (161.39 USD).

In addition, a blueprint of the Meizu Blue Charm cell phone’s design was released online.

2014 has been quite a year for Meizu. First there was the release of the flagship phone, the Meizu MX4 Pro. Now, they plan to close the year by introducing to a brand new line of products. I wonder what is up their sleeves for 2015.

It has been quite a year for Meizu with their release of popular cell phones such as the Meizu MX4 Pro. But it is not over yet as they still plan to introduce us to more new cellphones. “No Blue”. This phrase appears in a poster released by Meizu announcing the upcoming launch of their new brand of products. For the last several days, news spread fast that Meizu was planning to release a 1000 RMB (162.00 USD) cell phone. Now, it was announced that Meizu will release a new brand of products called the “Meizu Blue Charm”. Meizu plans to introduce to these products on December 23 in Beijing.

The Meizu Blue Charm will sport a 4.6-inch 1080p display screen. Its CPU processor will be the MT6752 octa-core chipset. As for memory, it will have 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM. This phone is also a dual SIM phone. In addition, the Blue Charm brand also includes the Blue Charm Note. According to rumors, this phablet will have a 5.5-inch display screen with a 16:9 contrast ratio. It will use a one-body design. As for the camera, it will sport a 13mp rear-facing camera with a dual LED flash. This phone will come in many colors but it will still have Meizu’s classic small white round Home button.

Besides cell phones, the Meizu Blue Charm brand will include a router, television set, smart band, and many other products that Meizu will soon introduce to use.

First, they release the Meizu MX4 Pro. Now, they begin a new era with a new line of products. It is pretty clear that Meizu does not plan to end the year without making one last statement. In the meantime, here are photos of the package featuring the invitation to the launch. Notice how it includes an iPhone 5C rear cover.

It has been quite a year so far for Chinese electronics company, Meizu. This year saw the release of the Pro version of the successful Meizu MX4, the Meizu MX4 Pro. A lot of news was made of this device for its great specifications and interesting design (it has a fingerprint scanner on the front instead of a Home button). But it is not over yet. Meizu recently announced the release of another phone, the Meizu K52.

Today, they released more information about the Meizu K52, particularly about its cost. According to reports, this device could rival Xiaomi’s Red Mi. It is said to have a very affordable price which is said to be 799 RMB. Although previous reports have stated that it would cost somewhere between 1000 RMB (162.46 USD) and 1300 RMB (211.20 USD), this year, Meizu has been pricing their products very differently. So, nobody should be surprised if it will really cost 799 RMB.

In addition, someone online leaked a photo of what appears to be a Meizu device’s Home button. It looks like Meizu’s classic round Home button, but it glows with a blue light. It looks pretty interesting. What do you all think?

Previous reports have stated that one of this device’s strengths is its slimness. It is said to be easy to handle with one hand. Furthermore, the Meizu K52 will sport a 4.6-inch 1080p display screen. It also uses the MT6752 64-bit octa-core chipset which has a frequency of 1.7GHz. It uses eight Cortex A53 cores and its GPU is the Mali-T760 MP2. It also has 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM. As for connectivity, it has support for dual-SIM cards.

It sounds like a pretty interesting phone. It might make a nice Christmas present.

It surprisely got a metal frame(aluminum titanium alloy) and the” baby skin” back cover and it looks great at the first sight, but if you take a closer look, it’s still a budget phone’s look, you can’t expect too much from a phone priced less than $200. After I take the back cover off, you can see there is dual SIM card slots and a micro SD card slot. I didn’t get the chance to listen to the sound speaker but it looks clean designed and crafted.

Antuu benchmark is around 39000, I can’t get a chance to take the picture, the phone is currently being presale on waphone’s official website: http://www.orgtec.cn/ and will be start to ship from 6th January 2015. And Jiayu S3 will ship at the end of January, so people can get Waphone almost 20 days earlier than Jiayu S3. So which one will you choose? Jiayu S3 or Waphone?

There has been a war going on in China. It is not a war that is being fought with guns or armies—-but with cell phone prices. That’s right. For the last several months Chinese cell phone companies have been competing with each other by lowering the price of their phones through promos, discounts, sales, etc. They are also releasing new phones at relatively lower prices. Many are aiming to release phones at a price below 1000 RMB (162.47 USD). One example is the 999 RMB (162.33 USD) Jiayu S3 high-end edition.

The Jiayu S3 high-end edition’s specifications are passable. One of its most important features is that it has 3GB RAM. Its CPU chip comes from MediaTek. Specifically, it is the octa-core MTK MT6752. This phone is dual-4G-supported. The Jiayu S3 high-end edition also sports a 5.5-inch 1080p display screen. As for its camera specs, its rear-facing camera is a 13mp camera with a Sony IMX214 sensor, while its front-facing camera is a 5mp camera. Its operating system is the Android 4.4 OS. Later, this can be upgraded to the new Android 5.0. It also has a built-in 3000mAh removable battery.

It also has many other features such as OTG, a gyroscope, etc. It comes in black and white, and its dimensions are 152 x 75.5 x 8.9mm.

Whereas the high-end edition costs 999 RMB, the more standard, low-end version costs 899 RMB (146.08 USD). The main difference in the specifications between the two is the RAM. Whereas the high-end edition has 3GB RAM, the standard edition has 2GB RAM. Both have 16GB ROM.

The benchmark score of Kirin 920 shocked people all over the world. And today they released a brand new Kirin 620 SOC that suppots TD-LTE and LTE-FDD for next years’ low cost 4G LTE device. It’s Huawei’s first octa-core 64 bit SOC. You can chck the specification form below to see how will the SOC performs.

As more and more cellphones will have fingerprint scanner feature in the future Kirin 620 also integrated with Fingerprint data protection rigion. Kirin 620 is more like to be a competitor for Snapdragon 615, but with 1.2 GHz per core and Mali-450MP4, how can this SOC compete with Snapdragon and MT6752? Maybe the price will be extremely low? Or maybe the benchmark scores?

Still remember Dakele debuts Dakele3 with Sapphire Glass in China? Even Dakele bragged about the metal body, the home button, the slim body(7.25mmm thin, 148g) But we can’t help to think it turns out the model is really like apple’s iPhone6. But Dakele made something unique indeed, the camera lens is not raised like iPhone6. It is said it’s not easy to bend as the iPhone6.

[embedyt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aa9rRNZkXuQ[/embedyt]

Apart from the minor hardware difference, Dakele 3 also got a sapphire 1080p display,3GB RAM, 16GB ROM, 8MP front/13MP rear camera. 2500mAh battery with 1.7GHZ MT6572 octa-core processor. The dual SIM card slot also be used as Micro SD card slot.

Dakele 3 developed it’s own Kele UI2.0 based on Android 4.4. And it can be rooted easily and install MIUI, Color OS, Lewa. It has a launcher like Nokia’s Zlaucher can display the apps according to the users’ daily usage at different moment.

Display screens that use active-matrix organic light-emitting diode technology, or AMOLED, have been making a buzz as more companies are producing products that use such screens. There are already different types of AMOLED display screens such as Super AMOLED, and Super AMOLED Advanced.

Now, here comes the world’s first 4G smartphone to use this screen. It is called the IMACWEAR MX1.

This phone sports a 5.0-inch AMOLED HD display screen. Its dimensions are 143 x 70.3 x 7.05mm. The IMACWEAR MX1 also supports 2G internet (GSM/GPRS/EDGE), 3G internet (TD-SCDMA/TD-HSPA), and 4G internet (LTE TDD/FDD LTE). Its CPU is the MT6752 octa-core (2GHZ) chipset, and its OS is the Android Jelly Bean 4.4. It sports an 8mp front-facing camera and a 13mp rear-facing camera. It also has 16GB ROM and 2GB RAM. It also supports memory expansion by Micro SD (up to 32GB). The IMACWEAR MX1 is also powered by an 2000mAh battery. It also supports other features such as an FM radio, proximity sensor, and LED flash. It comes in black and white.

AMOLED display screens have been said to be excellent display screens with a great resolution, and a high contrast ratio and color saturation. More importantly, it has been proven to provide good eye protection which should be very useful when using a cellphone. Among things it lowers the risk of exhausting your eyes when looking at the screen and prevents any harm done on your eyes by exposure to blue light. You can use phones with an AMOLED display to read, surf the web, and do other activities at night without harming your eyes thanks to this. They are also said to have fast reaction time and can consume a lot less power than other kinds of display screens.

Recently, MTK has been releasing SoCs one after the other. Last night, MediaTek’s newest product roadmap was published online featuring a new SoC called the MTK MT6753.

The MTK MT6752 was first announced early this year and will be released during the Q4 season. It is a 64-bit octa-core chipset that uses Cortex-A53 cores. This is MTK’s second 64-bit processor since the MT6732. It uses the ARM Mali-T760 GPU and supports 16mp display screens. It also has support for TD/FDD LTE internet, and other types of networks.

The MTK MT6753 is more of a gift for China Telecom-supported devices. It comes with support for CDMA 2000 1x and EVDO Rev.A as well as 3G and 4G networks. This chip is a Christmas gift for both cellphone users and manufacturers. It only has a frequency of 1.3-1.5GHz, however, which is lower than the MT6752. It also only supports display screens with resolutions up to 1080p.

It seems to be mainly targeted at mid to somewhat-high end devices. Although the 640bit octa-core MTK MT6795 chipset is at the top of the roadmap, as you can see from the graph, it is not China Telecom-supported. Despite its low specs, the MT6753 is and hopefully an upgraded version will be released soon. We can expect one during the Q2 season of 2015.

If you do not like octa-core SoCs, you can also check out MTK’s 4G quad-core processors like the MT6735 and MT6735M. Both use A53 cores and have a frequency range of 1.3-1.5GHz, and 1.0GHz. It also has support for 8mp photos and 1080p/30fps video recording. They should be released by the end of the Q1 season of 2015 or the beginning of the Q2 season.

It is worth noting that this graph was reposted by insider analyst Bo JiuTAng who verified the existence of the MT6735.

After a part of its design was leaked, the first information on the Xiaowa Phone’s hardware was released. To everyone’s surprise, it will use MTK’s 64-bit octa-core LTE SOC, the MT6752.

Those familiar with MTK’s producs know that MT6752 is a processor aimed at the mid-end market. It is a more powerful replacement of the MT6592 in the 1000 RMB cellphone market. It is composed of 8 A53 CPUs, has a high frequency of 2GHz, uses the ARM Mali-T760 GPU, supports 1080p video and 1080p display screens, and its ISP supports 16mp cameras. It also integrates a multi-mode LTE modem and supports 5 modes.

Sources say that this phone may enter the market during the fourth quarter season, most likely, after October.

Product line of MTK’s LTE chips

The MT6795 is at the top of the product line of MTK’s cell phone processors and has been predicted to have more powerful specs than the MT6595 and MT6752. It looks like this is true. The MT6795 can be considered a combination of both octa-core processors, integrating the 6752’s 64-bit octa-core design with the powerful multimedia specs of the 6595.

As previously stated, the MT6795 follows a 64-bit octa-core design. It has CPU main frequency that goes up to 2.2GHz. It will probably use the ARM Cortex-A53 like the MT6752, but the upgrades in main frequency should make it more powerful than the 6752. It also uses LTE Modem, supporting LTE Cat 4 (50Mbps upstream/150Mbps downstream), TD-LTE, FDD-LTE, HSPA + 42M/11M (WCDMA), TD-SCDMA, and GSM.

The MT6795 perfectly inherits the MT6595’s excellent multimedia functions. It supports display screens with 2K resolution, 20mp Ultra HD cameras, and video codecs like the H.265 4K*2K. It still has the IMG PowerVR G6 GPU.

Mass production of the MT6795 should start before the Chinese New Year at the latest.

Competition among CPU manufacturers has been fierce in the market with Qualcomm currently on top while MediaTek has taken a hold of half the market, followed by Samsung and Intel…

“In the world of Kung Fu, speed defines the winner.” This is a principle that MediaTek has long followed.

Later this year, MediaTEk will release three new CPUs, the MT6595, MT6752, and MT6732.

The state of MTK is very clear

The MT6732, which uses four A53 cores, is set to replace the MT6589. It supports up to 13mp for photo taking and 1080p for video recording, and 720p display resolution.

The MT6752, which uses eight A53 cores, will replace the MT6582, supports up to 16mp photo taking, 1080p video taking, and 1080p display resolution.

The MT6595, which uses four A17 cores and four A7 cores, uses the classic big.Little framework, supports up to 20mp photo taking, 4K video recording, and WQXGA display resolution.

It should be noted that all three are LTE-supported.

Two editions of the MT6595 CPU will be released. One will be the original MT6595 and the other will be the MT6595m which has a lower frequency and weaker specs.

Regarding the performance, according to ARM, the A17 and A15 are about the same, but this CPU’s power consumption is not that great. Based on how it is used with the RK3288, the A17 seems to work normally. As for the GPU, it uses the PowerVR G6200 which is not bad but overheats more easily.

According to the table, we can see that both VPU supports, at most, the DDR3 at 933MHz. Like the Qualcomm 808, it supports up to 14.9Gbps.

Regarding its photo specs, according to MediaTek, cameras that use the MT6595m can support up to 16mp while the MT6595 can support up to 20mp. As for its video recording specs, the MT6595 supports recording 4000 pixel videos.

The MT6595 does not have any clear strengths but it does not have any clear weaknesses either. Does it support 2k display resolution? Yes. 4k video? Yes. 4G internet? Yes. 5GHz WiFi? Yes. HD cameras? Yes.

You can get all of this at even under $40. You can just go ahead and take it. So, what are you waiting for? Just grab your phone and dial this hotline (65958888) for a very awesome phone!

What you should take note of, though, is its release date.

There’s a saying, “Speed is the soldier’s greatest weapon.” Not surprisingly, we may see the first device to use the MT6595 at the end of the year. At this point, the MT6595 won’t have any competition. CPUs with better performance will be too expensive while the performance of cheaper ones will not be as good. Given the reasonable price and average performance, this chipset should sell more than the rest.

To compete with the MT6595, Qualcomm will use the Snapdragon 805 which will use Krait cores. Its benchmark test score is about the same as the MT6595 although in practical use, the 805 has better memory and bigger bandwidth. But the MT6595 could sell with the following slogan: “Eight cores! Beautiful words to the Chinese market’s ears!”

Even though MediaTek hopes to enter the high-end market with the MT6595, the Snapdragon 800 has already sold at under 2000 RMB (321.20 USD). Phones that carry the MT6595 are expected to compete with each other costing between 1000 RMB (160.52 USD). Some phones may even be sold at under 999 RMB (160.36 USD).

Will the MT6595 be a success or a dud?

Although Google is said to abandom Nexus series, there is new product to come out this year. Now, 2 developers from Germany found Nexus 6 and Nexus 8 words in Chromium’s source code, which means Nexus series will last at least 1 generation.

In fact, Source code from Chromium will usually leak some newest information about Google’s recent device and system, like the “Flounder “ of Nexus’s developing code.

Beside this, although it is not known what feature will Nexus 6 and Nexus 8 to be, the outside world is expecting the Nexus 6 will be produced by LG, and it is the mini edition of LG G3. Some rumors reckon the Nexus 6 will reduce the screen size to 5.2 inch, but it is still unknown wheter it supports 2K resolution. Besides, rumors indicate Google is communicating with some Asian fingerprint identification sensor provider, so the Nexus6 may have that function.

Worthy mentioned, according to “Taiwan economic daily”, Google’s Nexus 6 will use MTK’s 64-bit processor, detailed type is still unknown, which may be 1.5 GHz quad core MT6732 or 2.0GHz 8 core MT6752. It is predicted Google will choose one from these 2 and use it on the Nexus 6.

However, foreign website Android Geeks predict Google’s Nexus 6 will carry Krait 450 structured Quadcomm Snapdragon 805 quad core processor, and Adreno 420 graphics processor and 3GB RAM with 16/32GB storage space. The camera is still unknown.

Predicted to be launched in Autumu

Because Nexus series will build newest Android system, the Google I/O developers conference that open at 25th June is considered the launch time of the phone. However, depended on the exposure rate of Nexus 6, it is less possible to be release next month, and Google’s Nexus devices are always launch at autumn, it is predicted the Nexus 6 will follow the trend.

Claimed by Taiwanese media “electronic tmies”, Google choose to cooperate with HTC, will launch newest 8 inch tablet. If it is true, that means HTC will cooperate with Nexus series products again after 4years.

Perhaps as some noticed, the process of product of 4G LTE , so-called the MTK “three most advantage brands”, and 64bit phones are ahead of schedule., phones hosting MTK 4G LTE solution are coming soon. MTK 4G LTE products are hopeful to be seen on the market before the end of June, and the 4G LTE octa-cores SOC MT6595’s launch time has been ahead to July.

As the far away 64 bit processor, it comes some rumors too. After heard “ Google new smart phone was possible adapting MTK 64 bit 4G LTE chip to launch,” another has come out and this time is domestic producer..

Insider Jiutang Pan has exposed domestic giant Huawei is possible cooperate with MTC on 64 bit products, launching smart phone products that carries MT6752. MTK has successfully become the 3rd largest IC design factory because of hot sales of its products. For the chip production has been favoured by domestic and global big bands, Huawei decided to project and launch MT6752 octa-core 64-bit LTE mobile phone, which is a positive response to MTK. Both sides have well cooperated at the 3G generation so there would be no much issue in the 4G era.

Make a review in Huawei’s current production line, most are still 3G products. Although 4G products were not as plentiful as Coolpad, it is still one of some sells 4G products a lot. Apart with rumored Huawei Ascend P7, and thousand-Yuan-class G620, G716 and MATE2, X1. And there are some 4G products following in. It is obviously the main force of Huawei is still 4G products, it will be the 4th quarter if the 64bit phone exists.

MT6752 and MT6732 are both revealed on the MWC in February, the former has 8 cores while the latter is quad core design. Both are cortex-A53 processor, but the Mt6572’s specs is better than MT6732, the main frequency is 2GHz and above, supporting 64bit system and dual mode dual standby. ( including LTE, 3G and GSM voice data), integrate ARM Mali-T760 GPU, supporting H2.65/1080P 30fps hardware decoding, 16mp ISP and 1080P screen and so on. CPU pin set is completely capable with MT6732.

Without accident, many domestic companies has MT6752/MT6732 related plan rather than Huawei, each product of MTK produced effect on the market, let’s wait and see the 64 bit storm.

With this launch by MediaTek of the MT6752 and the MT6732, there is going to be far more competition in the realm of 64 bit smartphones. There are several entities already in this category that MediaTek plans to become a part of. These other players include:
• Broadcom
• Intel
• Marvell Technology
• Nvidia
• Qualcomm
The target audience for the 64 bit CPUs offered by MediaTek is going to be those that are at an entry level or mid-range level smartphones. The forecasted demand for them will be emerging markets around the world, especially in China.
Such a launch by MediaTek is very encouraging as the use of 8 core and 64 core CPUs is going to become very commonplace technology for entry level and mid-range smartphones. It is anticipated this will occur by the mid-point of 2014.

MediaTek Inc. held a new brand conference in Beijing in the afternoon on April 23th. Leaders like CEO Xie Qing jiang, Radio & Satcoms CEO Zhu Shangzu etc. were in conference. The theme of this conference is to create infinite possibility/Everyday Genius, and to be the core meaning of new products at the same time. MediaTek Inc. would secure the middle and low end market and enter the Super Mid Market at the same time, covering more users.

The theme is “super terminal market” in this conference. This new concept is different from the traditional midmarket. Super Mid Market user’s group is mainly middle class with stable income in large numbers.

These people have a higher demand for products. Not only is it good to use. To put it bluntly, Super Mid Market is synonymous with higher end powering from MediaTek Inc. that meets the needs of more customers with better products, covering more users, no longer cling to mid-range.

The products are not the point in this new brand conference, but the 4 G / 64– bit new products has also been mentioned. Octa Core 4 G chips of MediaTek Inc will be listed in the third quarter of this year, 64 -bit product MT6732 / MT6752 will come out in the second half of the year. The solution scheme to the tablet, wearable smart devices, and smart TV will be introduced later.

A phrase that summarizes the conference, would be – MediaTek is changing! In addition to cutting into Super Mid Market, it is inevitable to face Qualcomma in the high-end market. More and more big brands joining can also help with MediaTek brand image promotion. The latest news said that GOOGLE’s new Nexus will use MTK’s 64 – bit solution.

Based on the published data of quarterly earnings last Thursday, Qualcomm, a US-based global semiconductor company that manufactures wireless telecommunications products, recorded its lowest increase in terms of the revenues for the past three consecutive years, which in total is $6.37 billion, merely a 4 percent growth compared to last year’s similar period.

And relying on the fact that it is facing a much harder competition this year, especially in China, including the shifting demands of handset manufacturers to MediaTek, a Taiwan-based worldwide semiconductor supplier, for a more affordable solution to be mounted on their low-cost devices, Qualcomm is not being able to preserve its previously known quarterly growth of 20 percent. Not to mention that recently MediaTek has just also launched their latest product, an eight-core SoC, the MT6592, which is intended to be used widely, the MT6595 as the world’s first eight-core LTE SoC and soon, the MT6752, a 64-bit SoC that consists of eight ARM v8 Cortex A53 cores.

Deviating from its “better cores, not more cores” tradition and due to countering the increased influence of MediaTek as the vendor’s main competitor, Qualcomm has also started offering their own eight-core SoCs by the launching of the Snapdragon 615 as its first eight-core LTE-enabled solution, and followed soon with other new generations that will no longer be utilizing last year’s Krain line of CPUs, but the ARM’s stock Cortex A53 and A57 cores which puts Qualcomm on the same level of playing field with MediaTek.

Within this year, while the high-end smartphone segment growth is slowing down, most mobile devices manufacturers are focusing on the mid-tier segment to increase their revenues. This would result to a lot of changes and would be a very interesting year to witness especially in the mobile devices market. Other vendors such as Nvidia, Samsung, LG, HiSlicon Huawei as well as Broadcom are also planning to launch their own 64-bit hardware and getting ready to compete with each other.
