POCO recently announced that it will be launching the POCO X6 series and the POCO M6 Pro 4G models in India soon. The launch date of these devices were officially revealed, and now, it appears that the chipsets that power these devices have also been confirmed.

POCO X6 Series & POCO M6 Pro 4G Specs

To recall, the Chinese brand is set to unveil the three smartphones in globally in India on 11th January 2024. The announcement will include the POCO X6 5G, X6 Pro 5G, and M6 Pro 4G models. The launch date was revealed via a teaser image poster, and the same has also revealed the chipset details regarding the upcoming devices. Looking at the tweet, the company confirms that the POCO X6 Pro 5G model features the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra SoC.

For those unaware, this processor is said to be on par with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which is Qualcomm’s 2023 flagship processor. Based on what we know so far, the X6 Pro will feature up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage as well. On the other hand, the POCO X6 5G will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC. Similar to the Pro variant, it may also offer 12GB RAM and 512GB storage on the top end model.

Lastly, the POCO M6 Pro 4G is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, which is also expected to be paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. While the post on X (formerly Twitter) did not specifically mention the Float Run, the earbuds seen in the video teaser have a design that appears to be the Float Run. For those unaware, the brand unveiled the Float Run back in January 2023. Now, it appears that the Indian release is arriving a year after its first announcement. The tags on the tweet like “Move Without Limits” are also in line with the sporty earbuds’ key selling point.

To recall, the Float Run featured a unique design that had the earbuds sit outside the ear canal. These were held in place thanks to an ear hook along with a flexible band. Thanks to this off-ear design, Sony aimed to deliver the most comfortable experience to athletes during exercise. Unfortunately, this unique design has its own drawbacks with the most noticeable one being the lack of ANC (Active Noise Cancellation).

The launch of the Galaxy S24 series by Samsung is scheduled for January 17, with pre-reservations for the Galaxy S24 already underway in India. Following the Galaxy S series release, Samsung typically introduces its premium mid-range Galaxy A series smartphones shortly thereafter. The flagship A-series device for this year is anticipated to be the Galaxy A55.

Before its official release, detailed renders of the Galaxy A55 have been unveiled by Android headlines, showcasing the smartphone’s design and available color options. The device boasts a flat back with three protruding camera rings. While the sides remain mostly flat, there’s a notable design element where the power button and volume rocker are located – Samsung has opted for a raised and curved design in that specific region rather than keeping it entirely flat.

There were speculations that the frame of the Galaxy A55 could be made of metal this time, and from the looks of it, that is what we will be getting. Moving on, the front of the device is revealed to feature noticeable but even bezels (except for the bottom one). It also has a centered punch hole for the front camera. As for the color options, the Galaxy A55 will come with Awesome Iceblue, Awesome Lilac, and Awesome Navy color options.

Other than that, there isn’t much known about the Galaxy A55. A previous Geekbench listing has revealed that the device will feature an Exynos 1480 SoC which has four performance cores clocked at 2.75GHz and four efficiency cores at 2.05GHz. The phone has 8GB RAM, and will likely have up to 256GB storage. Other than that, we can expect it to debut with Android 14 onboard, and by the time it launches, One UI 6.1 will likely be out. More details are expected to arrive as we get closer to the launch, so stay tuned.

OnePlus 9R and OnePlus 8T starts receiving OxygenOS 14 Update

Stable OxygenOS 14, based on Android 14, is finally rolling out to the OnePlus 9R and OnePlus 8T smartphones. Both phones are receiving the new update, which features some exciting new changes and feature additions. The update is currently live for the India variants of both smartphones. The closed beta and open beta users will first receive the stable update and then gradually roll it out to the normal users.

Stable OxygenOS 14 for OnePlus 8T and OnePlus 9R

The OnePlus 8T is receiving the firmware KB2001_14.0.0.200 (EX01), while the OnePlus 9R is receiving the firmware LE2101_14.0.0.300 (EX01). The update changelog remains the same for both phones, including the addition of new File Dock and Content Extraction features, which allow users to drag-and-drop files between apps, and recognize and extract text from the screen, respectively. Further, there are many improvements, which are listed below in the official changelog:

Smart efficiency

 • Adds File Dock, where you can drag and drop to transfer content between apps and devices.
 • Adds Content Extraction, a feature that can recognize and extract text and images from the screen with one tap.

User Care

 • Adds a carbon tracking AOD that visualizes the carbon emissions you avoid by walking instead of driving.

It will take a couple of days for the update to reach every user. However, users can manually check for the update by heading to Phone Settings > About > Software Update > Check for Update. OnePlus also advises users to keep at least 30% of their battery and 5GB of storage free before upgrading to OxygenOS 14.

This version of the wearable arrives in four new colors inspired by nature. Also, its packaging is environment-friendly.

The device is now up for sale in China almost a month after its announcement for global markets.

The Amazfit Balance Special Edition is priced at ¥1,899 (~$265) in China. It can be availed in four colors, such as Lagoon, Woodland, Meadow, or Deep Sea.

The packaging of this variant of the smartwatch is claimed to be developed with 100% environmentally friendly materials. It uses biodegradable electroplated aluminum (used in the hot stamping process) and biodegradable non-mineral ink.

For every unit purchased, Zepp Health will donate $2 in support of urban forestry projects in Europe organized by One Tree Planted. Thus, the retail box will include an eco-friendly sticker that commemorates the participation of buyers.

In terms of features, the product is the same as the regular version, which also retails at the same price. Globally, the wearable is priced at $229.99 and can be purchased at a cheaper price from certain retailers.

Unfortunately, in India, it is currently only sold in the regular version. It is priced at ₹24,999 and can be purchased from Flipkart.

Barclays Plc analysts have downgraded Apple Inc., sending shockwaves through the tech giant’s stock, which experienced its most substantial one-day percentage drop since September, falling by 3.6% on Tuesday. For those unaware, the Chinese smartphone maker is gearing up to unveil the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R model in India on 23rd January 2024. But the Amazon microsite for the OnePlus 12 is already live. Heading to the webpage, we can see the design of the smartphone being teased and also get confirmation on certain specs for the Indian variant. The high end device will reportedly be the same as the Chinese model and is equipped with Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

This processor will be paired with at least 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The rear packs the 4th Gen Hasselblad camera module that consists of a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS support, a 64-megapixel telephoto camera with OIS and 3x optical zoom, and a 48-megapixel ultra wide angle lens. Meanwhile, the front houses a 32-megapixel selfie shooter.

Itel has just launched a new smartphone in the Indian market. The device in question is the Itel A70, which is an entry level model. It was first announced in the global market back in October 2023 and has now made its way to the Southeast Asian country.

However, there’s a chance of these handsets going official first in China. They have now been listed on TENAA revealing their design.

Realme 12 series to look like Realme GT 5 Pro

The Realme 12 series is anticipated to include three models, namely Realme 12, Realme 12 Pro, and Realme 12 Pro Plus. The latter two with model numbers RMX3843 and RMX3841 have appeared on TENAA.

The live images suggest that the devices will feature a design similar to the flagship Realme GT 5 Pro. They will house a giant circular camera module and will be available in leather finishes.

Just like their predecessors, the phones will also flaunt a curved display. They will also retain the vertical line that runs along the rear of the handsets equally dividing them into two.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Realme 12 Pro Plus is tipped to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, which is present inside the rival Redmi Note 13 Pro. Whereas, the Realme 12 Pro is said to be run by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip.

Both of them are expected to arrive with a proper useful camera system comprising wide, ultrawide, and zoom units. The Pro Plus has been confirmed to sport an OIS-assisted 64MP Omnivision OV64B periscope telephoto camera. On the other hand, the Pro will come with a 32MP Sony IMX709 2x telephoto camera.

Whereas, the remaining laptop series will bundle Intel processors with dedicated graphics card units.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite seems quite promising if we consider the recent leaks and the company’s claims. It marks the company’s bold entry into the laptop SoC market. This chip aims to have a significant impact on the Windows laptop market thanks to the unique Qualcomm CPU core, Oryon. Qualcomm compared the Snapdragon X Elite to Intel, AMD, and Apple CPUs in a benchmarking session. The SoC has a mix of high-performance and efficiency cores, and early findings show competitive performance in single-threaded tasks. The chip’s success will depend on real-world usage and competition in the evolving landscape.

Redmi G Pro 2024 Specifications (Rumored)

Featuring some exciting advancements, the source also reveals the presence of an Intel i5-14500HX processor coupled with 16GB of DDR5 RAM and the RTX 4060 GPU. There’s also a Redmi G Pro 2024 model that comprises the high-end Intel i9-14900HX coupled with the same 16GB DDR5 RAM and the RTX 4050 GPU.

Well, we expect more details to surface before the official announcement of the Redmi G Pro 2024 Series laptops. However, it was recently spotted on Geekbench featuring the Intel 05-14500HX processor with the RTX 4060 graphics card. It managed to get an 87385 score on the benchmarks.

Further, the benchmark detailed the processor, the Intel i5 – 14500HX which coupled 6 big cores and 8 small cores with a turbo boost up to 4.9 GHz. The model that appeared on Geekbench packs 16GB of DDR5 RAM.

Moreover, the same Redmi G Pro 2024 was spotted on Geekbench last month with the Intel i9 – 14900HX processor, which carries 24 cores.

The new Xiaomi Redmi G Series 2024 laptops will see a full design overhaul. We await some renders and live photos before the launch to see the detailed changes in design. Xiaomi introduced the Redmi G Pro laptop in 2022 with a 16-inch 2.5K LCD and 240Hz refresh rate. It has an AMD Ryzen 7 6800H CPU an RTX 3060 GPU, 16 GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD.

As per the benchmarks and the leaks, major improvements and changes are coming to the Redmi G Pro series this year.

Motorola Mobility India has appointed Mr. T.M Narasimhan as the Managing Director of the Mobile Business Group in India as part of its plan to strengthen its position in the smartphone market. This decision aligns with the brand’s objective of securing a place among the three smartphone brands in the country.

Mr. T.M Narasimhan, who brings experience in sales operations, business and financial planning, and P&L management from his roles at FMCG and consumer tech organizations like PepsiCo, Britannia, and Samsung will lead Motorola’s operations in India. He will report to Mr. Prashanth Mani, who continues to oversee Motorola’s Asia Pacific business.

Mr. Prashanth Mani emphasized the importance of India as a focus market within the Asia Pacific region. Expressed confidence in Narasimhan’s ability to play a crucial role in achieving even greater success for the team in India.

Mr. T.M Narasimhan expressed his enthusiasm about joining Motorola and contributing to the brand’s growth journey in India. He recognized Motorola’s product strategy, business model, and strong brand presence while committing to build upon its existing foundation.

Motorola has recently experienced success in India, with double-digit premium growth compared to the market, reflecting its effective strategy.
Motorola has made an impact in the premium market with the Razr 40 and the Edge 40 series, showing impressive growth in the first half of fiscal year 2023-2024.

It’s only been a few days since Xiaomi announced its first electronic vehicle, i.e., the Xiaomi SU7 Car. The company took the wraps off the C-class high-performance sedan, featuring impressive performance, exceptional technology, and a sleek design. After a wait of over a decade, Xiaomi finally jumped into the electronic vehicle market, and now the company seems to be evolving further for future vehicles.

Xiaomi’s Innovative Hidden Car Door Handle Patent

In such a step towards innovation, the company patents Hidden Car Door Handles and some other shapes that could be part of future Xiaomi cars. As per the description of the document that appeared on CNIPA, the car door handle can be opened by pulling the door handle. There are different handle shapes, including convex, semi-hidden, and hidden door handles. Apart from all other handle types, the hidden door handles are more beneficial as they reduce air drag.

Apart from the already-present hidden door handles, the new Xiaomi patent doesn’t require any complex mechanisms. It can easily be restricted without the need for any electronic motor that retracts the handle. The simple structure and automatic retracting handle component reduce the cost and weight and simplify the complex mechanism, which is easier to use.

Xiaomi’s SU7 uses the semi-hidden indoor handle instead of the new pop-up door handle. We hope that in the coming new models, Xiaomi can use the fully hidden door handles to make the design more drag-free and efficient. Even the label diagram quite evidently shows the simplified hidden door mechanism.

Additionally, the Xiaomi SU7 electric car is a high-performance, enduring sedan. A top Mercedes-Benz and BMW design team created an elegant exterior with water drop-shaped headlamps and aerodynamic features. The Max variant has 673 horsepower, a 2.78-second 0-100 km/h acceleration, and a 265 km/h top speed. Max shines with an 800km CLTC range and fast charging. The large interior has Xiaomi’s HyperOS system, smart technology, and safety measures. The self-driving Xiaomi Pilot mode makes it futuristic. Xiaomi hopes to succeed in the automobile business with its introduction and pricing details.

Motorola was rumored to be gearing up for the Indian launch of the Moto G34 5G. Now, we have official confirmation regarding the device’s release in the region. The official launch date for the smartphone has been revealed, so here are all the details.

Moto G34 5G Launches in India on Jan 9

The Moto G34 5G is set to be unveiled in India on 9th January 2024. This is in line with our previous report, which was based on a leak from a known tipster. The earlier report also claimed that the device would launch in the country on January 9. Now, an official Flipkart microsite Moto G04 Appears on UAE’s TDRA; Launch Seems Imminenthas confirmed this. This also confirms the availability of this model on the popular e-commerce platform.

Similar to the earlier report, the highlighting aspect of the Moto G34 5G includes the vegan leather design on the back and Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC. The brand claims that the chipset would make the handset offer the best 5G performance in the segment. To recall, Motorola had first unveiled the Moto G34 5G in China as a budget smartphone model. The device was released 140 US Dollars price tag, so we can expect the Indian model to also cost around the same (roughly about 12,000 INR).

For those unaware, the Moto G34 5G features 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The memory and storage can be further expanded via virtual RAM expansion and a microSD card slot. A large 5,000mAh battery pack powers this device, which runs on Android 14 OS out of the box. The rear packs a 50-megapixel dual camera setup, while the front houses a 16-megapixel selfie shooter. In November 2023, Oppo introduced the Reno 11 series smartphones in its home market, featuring two models: Reno 11 and Reno 11 Pro. The global debut for these devices is set for January 11, starting in Malaysia. There are indications that the Indian launch is imminent, as the landing page for the Reno 11 series is now active on both the Oppo India website and Flipkart.

The landing page on Flipkart has revealed a bunch of key details about the camera system onboard the Reno 11 Pro. It confirms that the device will feature an OIS-enabled 50MP primary camera, paired with a 112-degree ultra-wide camera (likely 8MP) and a 32MP Sony IMX709 telephoto portrait camera with 2x optical zoom. The front camera will also have a 32MP sensor with autofocus.

Oppo Reno 11 Pro specs — Reno 11 Pro specs

The 32MP telephoto camera will also be onboard the vanilla model, which will offer 67W SUPERVOOC fast charging. In contrast, the Reno 11 Pro will offer 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging. Both devices are confirmed to debut with Android 14-based ColorOS 14.

No further details have been confirmed by the teasers, however, a recent leak has revealed that both the Reno 11 and Reno 11 Pro global models could feature different SoCs compared to the Chinese variants. The vanilla Reno 11 is said to have a Dimensity 1080 onboard rather than the Dimensity 8200, whereas the Reno 11 Pro could feature Dimensity 8200 or a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. We expect other specifications to remain similar to the Chinese models.

Following the leaks, benchmarks, and some renders, Tecno officially unveils the Tecno Pop 8 smartphone in India (as teased), which comprises competitive specifications to tackle the competition in the affordable market segment. The company’s latest budget smartphone offers a 6.56-inch HD+ display and a Unisoc T606 chipset. It comes bundled with Android 13 Go. Let’s see more details about the smartphone below:

Tecno Pop 8 Specifications and Features

The Tecno Pop 8 comes with a 6.56” HD+ Dot-in IPS display, featuring a rapid 90Hz refresh rate, which provides a visually immersive experience. The phone’s design is not only sleek, with dimensions of 163.69×75.6×8.55mm, but also robust, boasting the Splash Resistant (IPX2) feature.

It features an 8MP AI selfie camera with ƒ/2.0 aperture that delivers stunning self-portraits, while the 12MP dual AI rear camera with ƒ/1.85 aperture is present.
