Samsung Galaxy A14 5G receives ₹2,000 price cut in India

Samsung launched the Galaxy A14 5G in India in January. Nearly a year after its release, the company has now dropped the price of the smartphone.

The device now costs ₹2,000 cheaper than when it was introduced. Let’s check out its new price and bank offer.

The Galaxy A14 5G comes in three memory configurations in India. The base 4GB + 64GB, the mid 6GB + 128GB, and the top 8GB + 128GB variants were launched at ₹16,499, ₹18,999, and ₹20,999, respectively.

Samsung has now announced a ₹2,000 price cut on all the aforementioned models. Therefore, the phone now carries the following price tags in the country.

As far as specs are concerned, the smartphone sports a 6.6-inch display with an FHD+ resolution (2408 x 1080 pixels), a 90Hz refresh rate, and a dewdrop notch. It is powered by an Exynos 1330 SoC and currently boots Android 14-based One UI 6.0 software.

It has a triple camera system on the rear comprising a 50MP primary sensor, a 2MP macro snapper, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it features a 13MP shooter.

The phone arrives with dual SIM, 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a MicroSD card slot, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Lastly, it is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 15W charging.

iQOO is gearing up to unveil its Neo 9 series smartphones in China on December 27. The brand has officially announced two devices in the lineup – the iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro. Prior to the China launch, tipster Mulkul Sharma has disclosed information regarding the Indian launch timeline and provided key details about the Neo 9 Pro’s variant for the Indian market.

As per Mukul, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro Indian model could launch in India as soon as January 2024. The tipster has confirmed that the design of the iQOO Neo 9 Pro will be the same as the Chinese model, featuring a two-tone color scheme, however, the chipset inside will be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 rather than the Dimensity 9300.

In a recent teaser, it was officially revealed that the Chinese variant of the Neo 9 Pro will be equipped with the Dimensity 9300 chip, while the standard model will come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. The specific changes or modifications intended for the Indian version remain uncertain at this point. It is plausible that the iQOO Neo 9 Pro model for the Indian market will closely resemble the Chinese variant of the standard iQOO Neo 9, with potential differences in design. The company’s flagship tablets are tipped to get support for wireless charging.

Over the last few years, Apple has been working on making features universal across its product portfolio. These include its propreitary silicon processors on Macs and iPads, MagSafe charging, and the USB-C port on all devices across categories. As per a previous report, the Cupertino-based tech giant is also planning to transition to OLED displays on the iPad and MacBooks by 2027.

MacRumors reports that Apple could introduce MagSafe wireless charging on the iPad Pros next year. The current tablets sport a metal unibody making them incompatible with wireless chargers. A glass or plastic back panel is required to support the charging technology. Previously, Bloomberg’s reliable Mark Gurman had revealed that the Cupertino-based tech giant was planning glass back for the 2022 iPad Pro but it did not materialize.

Cut to today, previous reports hint at Apple refreshing its entire iPad lineup with the Pro models getting significant upgrades next year. The iPad Pro in 2024 is speculated to boast OLED display panel, M3 chipsets, and an entirely new design. Notably, Apple hasn’t updated the design of its flagship tablets in several years. It remains to be seen what new design the company will adopt for its next-generation iPad Pro.

A glass back panel would allow the iPad Pro to be compatible with wireless accessories as well as the MagSafe charger. This would also eliminate the need for different chargers required for owners of Apple devices and users could get out more of their existing MagSafe charging pads. MacRumors also adds that the MagSafe charging for the next year’s iPad Pro they’re hearing about may be similar to Apple’s wired charging solution for Macs rather than iPhone’s magnetic charging tech.

Huawei has quietly launched a new laptop for businesses in China. The notebook officially goes by Huawei Qingyun S520. It is the company’s second such computer this month after the Kirin 9006C-powered Qingyun L540.

The latest model is a 14-inch laptop powered by Intel processors. It comes in two variants featuring different chips and varying storage capacities. Let’s check out what this device has to offer.

Huawei Qingyun S520 Specifications

Huawei’s new enterprise laptop features a metal body like almost all its laptops. Its thinnest point measures just 17.2mm and the entire product weighs about 1.45g.

The notebook has a 180° hinge and a full-size backlit keyboard without a numpad. There’s a big enough touchpad measuring 120 x 72 mm and a power key with an embedded fingerprint sensor.

The laptop sports a 14-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The IPS LCD panel covers 100% of the sRGB color gamut and supports up to 300 nits typical brightness level.

Now, more details about the new superhero title have been leaked.

An earlier report from CyberDaily revealed that the hacker group Rhysida managed to get away with sensitive information regarding the current and former employees and even shared a screenshot of the upcoming Wolverine game. A fresh report from the same cybersecurity news website stated that the group announced an auction price for this data. This auction was set to start at 50 bitcoins (roughly 2 million US Dollars) along with a seven day deadline to pay.

The report adds that a total of 1.67TB of data that includes over 1.3 million files. Out of this, Rhysdia shared a bunch of details regarding the Wolverine game, which includes gameplay footage as well as level design and mechanics. Details of unreleased Insomniac and Sony games, screenshots of internal spreadsheets, and development and marketing budget details were also revealed. The videos are already circulating X (formerly Twitter) and showcases the iconic superhero using his powerful sense of smell to locate objectives.

Samsung is beginning the rollout of the OneUI 6.0-based Android 14 to the last two generations of the Galaxy Z foldable phones. These include the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Z Flip 3. The update is seeding to owners of the aforementioned devices in the US. It is made available to Verizon, T-Mobile, and MetroPCS carriers with unlocked units soon after.

The firmware version of the OneUI 6.1-based Android 14 for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 has the model number F936USQU3EWL1 and F721USQU3EWL1 respectively. On the other hand, for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3, the firmware version numbers are F926USQU4HWL1 and F711USQU5HWL1C respectively.

The Android 14 layered with OneUI 6.1 skin is a major upgrade. Users are recommended to download it over WiFi. It’s worth noting that the latest software version update is currently seeding in the US and in a phased manner. The rollout should expand and be available to all users in the coming weeks. Users can check the update by heading to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install if available.

HP is prepping to launch the Omen Transcend laptop soon. The exact launch timeline remains a mystery, it could debut at the forthcoming CES in January. The leaked images show the laptop with a thin profile and an RGB keyboard. It will reportedly weigh just 1.6kg. The device is seen in Ceramic White and Shadow Black color options.

The report reveals that the HP Omen Transcend will boast a 14-inch OLED display bearing a resolution of 2.8K pixels. It will feature a 120Hz refresh rate, 0.2ms response time, and a peak brightness of 500 nits. There will be a 1080p webcam.

Under the hood, the HP Omen Transcend is said to be powered by the 14th generation Intel Core Ultra chipsets. There will also be up to NVIDIA RTX 4070 GPU onboard. The machine is tipped to be equipped with up to 32GB RAM and 2TB SSD storage. The report adds that the Omen Transcend will be backed by a 71Whr battery cell that is claimed to offer 11.5 hours of usage. Additionally, the device will feature WiFi-7 and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.

Initially, the Chinese tech giant was expected to launch the vanilla model alongside the Find X7 Pro. However, a recent report has suggested that the Pro version will be dubbed as the Find X7 Ultra. As the name suggests, the Find X7 Ultra will be more expensive and feature more premium specifications and features. Now, its retail box has been leaked. Looking at the image shared by known tipster Abhishek Yadav, the Find X7 Ultra’s packaging can be seen carrying the device’s name on one side.

Unfortunately, no finer details like pricing and specifications were revealed in this leak. However, this does seem to confirm the existence of the Find X7 Ultra. Based on what we know so far, the Find X7 Ultra will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. A new leak hinted that the front of the device will sport a tall 6.82-inch BOE 8T LTPO OLED display. This panel is expected to offer a 2K resolution, 2160Hz PWM dimming, and 120Hz refresh rate as well as a 32-megapixel selfie shooter.

On the other hand, the rear features a quad camera setup. OnePlus Ace 2 Pro is getting stable ColorOS 14

Exactly a month or two since the closed beta, OnePlus is here with the ColorOS 14 stable version for the OnePlus Ace 2 in China. Both the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro and the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro Genshin Impact Edition are receiving the Android 14-based ColorOS 14 update. The update is available for all users, including beta and non-beta users.

Steps to Install ColorOS 14 on the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro

To get the latest update, make sure your device is running the latest ColorOS 13.1.1.552 version. Then head over to the device Settings > About > Tap on Version Information > Select Settings in the upper right corner > Select Early Adapter> ColorOS 14 Official version > Select “I Read Privacy Policy” > Apply Now. Just after applying, check for updates, and the ColorOS 14 official version will be available.

Before updating, make sure your device has more than 50% battery life and at least 5GB of free internal storage. Moreover, it is important to back up your data, as it may get lost before upgrading. Further, some of the apps on your device may not be compatible with Android 14, so they may not work properly, which may further lead to increased power consumption and app crashes. Realme recently launched the C67 5G smartphone in India. As expected the brand today has announced a 4G variant of the C67 smartphone in Indonesia. The device packs slightly different specifications and design compared to its 5G counterpart. It is a budget offering. Read on to know what the C67 5G offers out of the box.
