A Dimensity 9000 version of the OPPO Find X5 Pro was scheduled to launch on March 18th as an alternative to the regular model powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. However, with a post on Weibo, OPPO now says that the launch has been postponed to April 1st in light of a fresh spike in COVID-19 cases in China.
“On the premise of strictly complying with local epidemic prevention and control policies and ensuring the health and safety of the company’s employees, we have adopted emergency plans to solve the problem,” says the post.
Chinese e-commerce platform JD.com subsequently updated its appointment dates to reflect on the changed plans, with the listing for the phone now showing an April 1st sale date.
Still, the launch postponement shouldn’t bar the OPPO Find X5 Pro Dimensity Edition from becoming the second phone to be powered by the flagship Dimensity 9000 chip, after the Redmi K50 Pro. The Redmi K50 series was launched successfully yesterday.
The OPPO Find X5 Pro Dimensity Edition will be sold in a sole 12GB+256GB variant at a price of 5,799 Yuan, which is around $911. This is cheaper compared to its Snapdragon counterpart, which sells for 5,999 Yuan (around $943) for the same config. Considering the Dimensity 9000 has been found to beat the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in most benchmark tests, it would not be unfair to say that the Dimensity Edition has slightly better value.
Earlier this month, OnePlus announced that it will be launching the OnePlus 10 Pro in India and other global markets by the end of March. Now, OnePlus India has released its first official teaser for the OnePlus 10 Pro.
The teaser features an image of a device that looks similar to the OnePlus One, the company’s first smartphone. Other than that, it states “someth10ng powerful is coming” with “10” and “power” written in a different font indicating that it is most likely the OnePlus 10 Pro.
The device was previously tipped to launch between March 22 and 24 in India. And as it has already launched in China, we already know all of its specs and features.
OnePlus 10 Pro specs
The OnePlus 10 Pro features a 6.7-inch LTPO 2.0 AMOLED display with support for variable refresh rates from 1Hz to 120Hz. The screen will have a resolution of 3216 x 1440 pixels, 525 PPI pixel density, 1300 nits peak brightness, 5000000:1 contrast ratio, 20.1:9 aspect ratio, 92.7% screen-to-body ratio, and Gorilla Glass Victus for protection.
It also comes with an under-display fingerprint sensor for added security. Under the hood, the device comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, coupled with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage.
Coming to the camera configuration, the phone comes with a 48MP Sony IMX789 primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor 150-degree ultra-wide unit, and an 8MP 3.3x telephoto shooter with OIS. On the front side, the device has a 32MP Sony IMX615 snapper for taking selfies and video calling. All these cameras are co-tuned by Hasselblad with features like Hasselblad Natural Color Optimization 2.0.
It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and comes with support for 80W SuperVOOC fast charging, 50W AirVOOC fast wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging. The device will run Android 12 based OxygenOS 12 out of the box.
The OnePlus 10R has reportedly entered the private testing phase in India and will most likely launch sometime after the launch of the OnePlus 10 Pro.
After revealing that preorders for the ThinkBook 14+ and ThinkBook 16+ laptops will be starting this month, Lenovo has now officially launched both devices.
Equipped with Intel i5-12500H and i7-12700H processors, the laptops are built with portability in mind and are therefore fairly thin and light. The 12th Gen Intel chips are paired with the NVIDIA RTX 2050 GPU on some of the variants.
The configuration along with pricing of the notebooks has been given below (via IT Home):
ThinkBook 14+
i5-12500H: starting price of 4,999 Yuan (around $785)
i7-12700H: starting price of 6,099 Yuan (around $958)
The ThinkBook 14+ is equipped with a 14-inch 16:10 screen with a 2.8K resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 100% sRGB color gamut. It uses an all-metal body, with a thickness of 15.9mm thick. Interfaces include Thunderbolt 4, full-featured USB-C, HDMI 2.1, RJ45 network port, microSD card reader, etc.
The ThinkBook 16+ is equipped with a 16-inch 16:10 screen with a 2.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 100% sRGB color gamut. It again uses an all-metal body with a thickness of 16.5mm. Interfaces include Thunderbolt 4, full-featured USB-C, HDMI 2.1, RJ45 network port, SD card reader, etc.
In terms of configuration, the i5-12500H featured in this series of notebooks comprises 4 large cores + 8 small cores, while the i7-12700H comprises 6 large cores + 8 small cores. These are assisted by LPDDR5 memory, and standard 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD.
The Lenovo ThinkBook 14+ and ThinkBook 16+ thin and light notebooks will be up for sale starting March 28th in China and a global launch should follow soon.
Samsung is now rolling out the One UI 4 update based on Android 12 to the Galaxy Tab S7 FE. The rollout is currently limited to the UK but should be expanded to more regions pretty soon.
Carrying firmware version T736BXXU1BVC2, the update includes the February security patch and improves device stability and security (via SamMobile). You can also expect all of the One UI 4 + Android 12 goodies on it like dynamic wallpaper-based theming, new animations, updated widgets, redesigned quick settings, and system apps improvements.
Also, according to Samsung’s documentation, the new security patch fixes more than 50 privacy and security-related vulnerabilities.
If you reside in the UK, you may have already received the update. But if you haven’t, then you can also check for it manually by heading over to Settings > Software update and then downloading and installing it.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE was released in June 2021 with One UI 3.1.1 based on Android 11. It has since then hasn’t received any major update but today’s rollout changes that. The tablet comes with a 12.4-inch TFT display with a resolution of 1600 x 2560. Its Wi-Fi model is powered by the Snapdragon 778G chip while the 5G model gets the Snapdragon 750G.
For photography, you get a single 8MP camera at the rear and a 5MP camera at the front. The battery is sized 10,090mAh with support for 45W fast charging.
After revealing the rear of the realme GT NEO 3 with a couple of hands-on images, realme has now also shown off its front, again with a real-life image. The upper-mid-range, performance-oriented phone is all set for a March 22nd launch.
The image posted by Xu Qi, president of realme China, shows that the realme GT NEO 3 will have a tiny center-aligned punch-hole for the selfie camera on the front. The front is occupied nearly completely by the display, which is surrounded by very slim bezels, although there’s a slight chin at the bottom.
The executive earlier today posted that the realme GT NEO 3 packs a very sophisticated thermal solution called “Diamond Ice Core Cooling System Max” with a total heat dissipation area of 39606mm² and VC heat dissipation area of 4129mm².
From this, it’s fair to assume that the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chip under the hood will remain cool even during long gaming sessions. It has also been confirmed that the phone will pack an independent display chip for better performance and lower power consumption.
Last but not least, the realme GT NEO 3 will be the world’s first phone to support 150W light-speed charging, which has been claimed to fill up its battery from 0% to 50% in just 5 minutes.
In February, Oneplus launched two smart televisions called OnePlus TV Y1S and OnePlus TV Y1S Edge alongside the OnePlus Nord CE 2 in India. A month later, the company is now said to release yet another smart TV in the country dubbed as OnePlus TV Y1S Pro. As the name suggests, it will be a better version of the former two models.

According to Ishan Agarwal (via 91Mobiles), the OnePlus TV Y1S Pro will go official at the OnePlus 10 Pro launch event in India. The two products will be also accompanied by OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z2.
The new television from the brand will look somewhat similar to the recently released models. However, it will have a higher resolution screen.
The tipster says that the OnePlus TV Y1S Pro will be offered in a single 43-inch version initially. Unlike the regular Y1S, this one’s panel will offer a resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels (4K).
The television will arrive with 2GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. Interestingly, it will boot Android TV 10 instead of Android TV 11 like the Y1S and Y1S Edge. Anyway, it will have support for Chromecast Built-in, Miracast, OnePlus Connect 2.0, Google Assistant, and Amazon Alexa.
As far as connectivity and ports are concerned, the TV will come with dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth, 3 x HDMI, and 2 x USB. Finally, it will pack 24W speakers with support for Dolby Audio and Dolby Atmos.
We expect OnePlus to disclose the date for the OnePlus 10 Pro’s Indian launch event soon. At the same time, we are also looking forward to the pricing leak of all three products.
The OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, and OnePlus 8T are beginning to receive the stable version of Android 12-based ColorOS 12 in China.
Users on public beta builds began receiving the update as OTA on March 16th, while users on HydrogenOS 11 are getting the same as part of a batch rollout that started March 17th.
OnePlus acknowledges that there are a couple of bugs common to the three devices on the build, though. Firstly, the status bar may occasionally show the camera indicator despite it not running, and secondly, face unlock may fail to work sometimes. When the latter strikes, the fix is simple — just restart the device or re-add the face.
Do note that the update being discussed here is only being rolled out in China at the moment but it should be rolled out globally as well soon enough, likely with the aforementioned bugs fixed.
Some global variants of the OnePlus 8, 8 Pro, and 8T are already undergoing testing through the OxygenOS 12 Open Beta program. Enrolled users get to enjoy various new goodies like a new system interface, adjustable dark mode, Shelf changes, Work-Life Balance feature, and more.
It’s worth mentioning here that OxygenOS 12 marks the software’s departure from being an independent skin and uses the same base as ColorOS 12. There were plans to unify the two skins further with a “Unified OS” but these were shelved.
Huawei had launched its latest Nova 9-series smartphone in its home market China, dubbed as Huawei Nova 9 SE, just a couple of days ago in two memory variants. The phone is now finally available for purchase from today, i.e. 18th March.

Realme has been teasing some of the key features of the upcoming Realme GT Neo3 flagship smartphone ahead of the phone’s official launch in its home market China next week on 22nd March.
In the latest teaser poster shared by Xu Qi, Vice President of Realme, President of Realme China, and President of Marketing for the company, it has been confirmed that the upcoming Realme GT Neo3 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC.
The Dimensity 8100 processor will be coupled with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 internal storage. Along with that, it has also been confirmed that the smartphone will pack an independent display chip for better performance and lower power consumption.

The phone will have a triple-camera setup on the back panel that will consist of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. On the front side, the device will have a 16-megapixel snapper for taking selfies and video calling.
It will be running the Android 12 operating system out-of-the-box with the company’s own Realme UI on top. Realme says that the device goes from 0% to 50% in just 5 minutes.

Honor is unveiling its Earbuds 3 Pro headphones in its home market of China after announcing the revolutionary headphone back in February. The Honor Earbuds 3 Pro headset is being projected as a device with many firsts. The device is available for pre-ordering in China from March 17 while actual sales begin on March 25.
Honor Earbuds 3 Pro is the first coaxial dual-unit with a large amplitude moving coil and ceramic tweeter. It is also showcased as the first to garner an A-level high-end noise reduction certification. To cap the list of firsts for the sleek earbud, it comes with 5C fast charging technology.
The earbud sports an exquisite and compact design and weighs about 5.1g. It is small and pebble-shaped. It offers a double vent hole front and rear acoustic cavity conduction design. The earphones are designed to effectively balance air and sound pressure for an optimized listening experience. It is compatible with iOS and Android devices including Honor and Samsung smartphones.
The AI credentials of the Earbuds 3 Pro are also impressive, as AI sound effect equalization and AI body temperature monitoring are possible. The fast charging technology means that the device can be fully charged in under 30 minutes. The battery and the charging case of the Earbuds 3 Pro combine to offer up to 24 hours of playback, although the battery life is reduced when using noise reduction.
The Honor Earbuds 3 Pro is priced at 899 yuan (~$142) in China, which as expected, is significantly lower than its price in Europe which is €199 (~$221). We expect that the impressive Honor earbuds will subsequently be available in other markets after its China unveiling.
Two amazing 2022 gaming phones are already on the shelves. If you are an advanced gamer or an esports lover, you will surely like the new REDMAGIC 7 Pro by Nubia and the Lenovo Legion Y90. None of these devices was released by a mainstream brand in the smartphone market, but at the moment, they are the best gaming phones out there. After their release, a lot of people are wondering which one is the best between these two handsets. We decided to answer this question through a comparison between the specifications of the Nubia REDMAGIC 7 Pro and the Lenovo Legion Y90.
Triple 64 + 8 + 2 MP, f/1.8 + f/2.0
16 MP front camera
Dual 64 + 13 MP, f/1.9
16 MP front camera
BATTERY
5000 mAh, fast charging 135W
5600 mAh, fast charging 68W
ADDITIONAL FEATURES
Dual SIM slot, 5G
Dual SIM slot, 5G
Design
Both the phones come with an aggressive and gaming-centric design. It is hard to choose the most suggestive one and it mostly depends on personal tastes. The Lenovo Legion Y90 is very interesting because it comes with an RGB light panel on the rear side. The REDMAGIC 7 Pro is more compact and built with premium materials: glass for the back and aluminum for the frame (aviation aluminum, to be accurate). The Lenovo flagship includes four ultrasonic buttons for gaming, while the Nubia one comes with pressure sensitive zones with a 500 Hz touch sampling rate. For me, it is very hard to make a choice: which is your favorite phone when it comes to design? You can let us know in the comment box below this comparison.
Display
It looks like the REDMAGIC 7 Pro has a superior display in terms of image quality. It comes with a 6.8-inch panel sporting a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, one billion colors, and a 120 Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the Lenovo Legion Y90 has better display specifications for gaming: the screen has a wider diagonal of 6.92 inches and a higher 144 Hz refresh rate, as well as higher brightness. It retains the Full HD+ resolution (with 1080 x 2460 pixels) and the HDR10+ certification. The fingerprint scanner is embedded in the display on both these gaming phones. With these handsets, you also get stereo speakers, but the REDMAGIC 7 Pro has superior audio and it is the only one with a 3.5 mm audio jack.
Specs & Software
The most important advantage of the Lenovo Legion Y90 and the REDMAGIC 7 Pro is definitely the hardware department. They are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 mobile platform running at a max frequency of 3 GHz: currently the most powerful chipset by Qualcomm. The Lenovo Legion Y90 provides up to 18 GB of RAM and it is also the first phone equipped with an SSD: that is why it wins the hardware comparison. The handset comes with a UFS storage of 512 GB and an additional SSD storage of 128 GB for a total of 640 GB. But REDMAGIC 7 Pro remains amazing with up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of internal storage. The operating system installed is Android 12 with custom user interfaces on top.
Camera
If you need a high-end camera phone, do not buy these handsets. They are gaming phones with flagship hardware but their cameras belong to the midrange segment. Between the two handsets, the most convincing camera phone is the Lenovo Legion Y90. It has a dual rear camera with a 64 MP main sensor, a 13 MP ultrawide lens, and 8K video recording support. But the REDMAGIC 7 Pro is not far away with its 64 + 8 + 2 MP triple camera.
The bigger battery of the Lenovo Legion Y90 allows for longer battery life. The RED MAGIC 7 Pro has a smaller 5000 mAh battery, but it features the fastest charging technology in the whole smartphone market, with a power of 135W.
Price
The starting price of the REDMAGIC 7 Pro by Nubia is €670/$743, while the Lenovo Legion Y90 starts from €570/$632 in its base variant. Both these phones are simply amazing for gamers and there is not a definitive winner, but now you know the differences and you can make a choice that makes sense.
Nubia REDMAGIC 7 Pro vs Lenovo Legion Y90: PRO and CONS
Redmi has announced its latest laptop – the RedmiBook Pro 15 2022 model with a 15.6-inch 3.2k screen and a high refresh rate of 90Hz. The RedmiBook Pro 15 2022 was announced during the company’s K50 event and it is powered by the 12th Gen Intel Core i5/ i7 CPU together with up to RTX 2050 GPU. The LPDDR/ PCIe configuration of the new laptop is 16GB/ 512GB. It has a 4.3mm frame and has an impressive 89% screen-to-body ratio. The RedmiBook Pro 15 2022 is available for pre-order in China and goes on sale from March 24.
The RedmiBook Pro 15 2022 can be rugged as it can be – it has an Aluminum-Alloy build that can withstand wear and tear, an in-built fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button, an expansive touchpad, and a 720p webcam. The laptop will run on Windows 11 OS from the box and its 72Wh battery can be charged at 130W to 100% in about an hour. The laptop’s battery can deliver up to 12 hours of video playback and a much longer life without video activities. Connectivity is via Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, USB-A, C, and HDMI ports that are present in the laptop.
The RedmiBook Pro 15 2022 weighs 1.8kg and also has a 3.5mm headphone/ microphone jack, as well as two speakers and DTS audio support. It is available in three options in terms of the CPU/GPU configuration. Redmi K40S has been announced in China alongside the Redmi K50 and K50 Pro. The K40S is a sibling to the Redmi K40 that was launched last year. The K40 was a popular device with its cumulative sales volume put at over 10 million units. The wide popularity of the K40 may have triggered the need for the CHinese tech giant to launch the K40S despite moving on to the K50 series.
While retaining the strengths of the K40, the Redmi K40S improves on the design and features with several enhancements. One aspect that got upgraded is the cooling system. The Redmi K40S utilises a 3112 square mm VC liquid-cooled heat dissipation system instead of the liquid- cooled copper tube used on the K40. The new cooling area is increased by 400%. As a result of the enhanced cooling system, the new model supports the 120-frame mode of multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) games.
Another aspect where the K40S is upgraded is in the charging technology. The K40 supports 67W fast charging twice more than the 33W fast charging onboard the Redmi K40. Thus, the charging time is shortened from 52 minutes to 38 minutes.
The Redmi K40S also features an upgraded camera system. Despite packing a Sony IMX582 48-megapixel main camera just like its predecessor, the main camera comes with optical image stabilization (OIS) which brings stability during photo and video recording while on the move. The main camera teams up with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle and a 2-megapixel macro lens.
Finally, the Redmi K40 comes with some enhancements in its design. The device ditches the curved edge design of its predecessor for a trendy small vertical edge design, which is tougher and sharp. It comes in slightly lighter and thinner at 195 gram and 7.7 mm thickness.
In other aspects, the Redmi K40S is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset paired with 6/8/12GB LPDDR5 memory and 128/256GB UFS 3.1 flash memory. The phone sports a 6.67-inch Samsung E4 AMOLED straight screen with an FHD+ resolution and support for a 120Hz refresh rate. It crams a 4500mAh battery under the hood.
The Redmi K40S comes with a side fingerprint recognition and a 20-megapixel selfie camera. You also get Wi-Fi 6, Dolby Atmos support, X-axis linear motor, NFC, infrared remote control, and more.
As for the price, the Redmi K40S is slightly higher than the price of the K40. It starts at 1799 yuan (~$283) for the 6+128GB variant. Others are;
Netflix is working towards a new policy where users will have to pay a little amount on top of the plan fees to share the password with members outside their household.
In a blog titled “Paying to Share Netflix Outside Your Household”, Netflix said, “So for the last year we’ve been working on ways to enable members who share outside their household to do so easily and securely, while also paying a bit more. And over the next few weeks, we’ll launch and test two new features for our members in Chile, Costa Rica, and Peru.”
The move comes after Netflix repeatedly stated that users sharing their passwords with friends and family is hurting the company’s earnings. So now, users will need to pay extra money on top of their subscription charges if they want to share their passwords with someone outside their premises.
Netflix is introducing two new features, “Add an Extra Member” and “Transfer Profile to a New Account”, to overcome the problem of users sharing their passwords with members outside their household.
The “Add an Extra Member,” feature will provide users of Standard and Premium plans to add two sub-accounts for people they don’t live with. Each user would have their own username and password. And it will cost users CLP 2,380 (approx Rs 225) in Chile, USD 2.99 in Costa Rica, and PEN 7.9 in Peru.
Additionally, the “Transfer Profile to a New Account,” feature will allow users to transfer the existing profile to a new account, keeping the user’s watch history, favorites, and personalized recommendations. This feature will be available to Basic, Standard, and Premium plan members.
These new charges and features have not yet been introduced in India. Additionally considering that the Indian market is price sensitive and Netflix had to reduce its price for the Indian market as compared to other markets in the world, it would be interesting to see what strategy Netflix will adopt for India.
Earlier today, Samsung launched the Galaxy A53 5G and the Galaxy A33 5G midrange smartphones at their Galaxy Awesome Unpacked event. The brand also silently unveiled the Galaxy A73 5G along with all its key specs and features.
Design & display
The Galaxy A73 5G features a similar design to the Galaxy A53 with a smooth minimalist back and a single tone color scheme. The camera island protrudes neatly from the back making for a visually pleasing design.
On the front, the device gets a near edge to edge screen with super thin bezzles. Coming to the display, 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED 120Hz Infinity-O panel with a punch hole cutout in the top center.
Performance
The Galaxy A73 5G comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G chipset with an Octa-core processor clocked at 2.4GHz for the performance cores and 1.8GHz for the efficency cores. It will be available with 6/8GB RAM and 128/256GB storage. The device gets a microSD card slot which supports up to 1TB of memory expansion, however, the devcie does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The device runs Android 12 based OneUI 4.1 out of the box and comes with a 5,000mAh battery whicch supports 25W fast charging. The smartphone does not come with a charger included in the box so buyers will likely have to shell out some extra cash for a charger.
Camera
The camera setup of the device gets some major changes compared to last year. The primary sensor has been updraded from the 64MP on the Galaxy A72 to a 108MP camera with f/1.8 aperture and OIS support. The device also gets an ultrawide camera with 12MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture, a 5MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture and ditches the telephoto lens for a 5MP depth sensor.
