Huami recently entered the Indian market with the launch of Amazfit BIP and Stratos. Now, expanding its portfolio in the Indian market, the company has launched two new smartwatches — Amazfit Cor and Amazfit Pace.

Amazfit Cor is the most affordable Huami smartwatch in the market, priced at Rs. 3,999 (approximately $xx). It comes with a 1.23-inch IPS LCD color touch display which is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 3 on top. The device is also water resistant up to 50 meters.

Apart from the usual activity tracking, the device also comes with a heart rate monitor that can be used for sleep tracking. Other functionality includes alarm, stopwatch, and timer. It also provides a weather forecast for up to 7 days.

Coming to the battery, the company claims that Amazfit Cor can provide battery life of up to 12 days on a single charge. The smartwatch is compatible with both Android as well as Apple devices. As said, it is priced at Rs. 3,999 and will go on sale in India starting today on Amazon.

On the other hand, the Amazfit Pace comes with the same 1.23-inch IPS LCD color display with Gorilla Glass 3 but it has an always-on mode. Along with a heart rate scanner, it also comes with GPS and GLONASS. There’s also 3-axis accelerometer for activity, sport, and sleep tracking.

It comes with 2.4GB of internal storage, which enables you to store music on the watch itself and has the ability to connect to Bluetooth headsets. Just like other Amazfit devices, this one too is compatible with both Android and iOS.

According to the company, the smartwatch can last for up to 11 days on a single charge. As for the pricing, the Amazfit Pace is priced at Rs. 9,999 in the Indian market and will be available for purchase in two color options — Red and Black, exclusively through Amazon.in starting today.

Oppo has finally launched the Oppo A7X in China for a price tag of 2099 yuan (~$ 306). It appeared on the official Oppo website today without any formal announcement. Oppo A7X is another mid-range smartphone with 6.3 inch waterdrop display. It is going to be available starting September 14th at 10:00 Beijing time (2:00 AM GMT). Users can buy the device in two different color variants, star purple and ice flame blue with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.

Oppo A7X Specs

Oppo A7X is equipped with MediaTek Helio P60 processor having 4x Cortex-A73, 4x Cortex-A53 up to 2.0 GHz with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU for graphics. Further, Oppo has tried something unusual by introducing 4GB of RAM with 128GB of storage, rather than 64GB. It runs on ColorOS 5.2 having smart sidebar, easy switching between apps and many other features. It packs 6.3 inch of display featuring waterdrop display with over 90.8% body to display percentage and 19.5:9 aspect ratio.

In camera department, Oppo A7X packs 16 megapixel camera with 8 MP shooter on the front side. It also packs (Artificial intelligence) AI on both the front and the back side. After launching the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play smartphones in India, the Lenovo-owned Motorola has now launched the top-end model of the Moto G6 lineup in India — Moto G6 Plus.

The Moto G6 Plus comes with a larger 5.9-inch MAX Vision Full HD+ IPS display with 2160 x 1080 pixels screen resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The glass on the back panel is also protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass, ensuring safety from the minor scratches.

Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm‘s Snapdragon 630 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz along with Adreno graphics processor. Huawei confirms Maimang 7 will feature Kirin 710 and GPU Turbo, Launch on Sept. 12

Last year, in the month of September, Huawei launched its first full-screen smartphone, Maimang 6. Its successor, Huawei Maimang 7 is confirmed to feature Kirin 710 with Turbo GPU. Few days ago, Huawei announced that they are bringing the successor of Huawei Maimang 6 and will launch the phone at an event in Guangzhou on September 12. A poster was included along with the announcement, below, you can have a look at it . It will carry mid-range specs with a design similar to Huawei Mate 10 series.

Huawei seems to be on the launching spree as it has launched multiple devices in the past few weeks. Recently, Huawei announced Honor 8X and Honor 8X max under its Honor brand.

Today morning, Huawei officially confirmed that they will bring the powerful Kirin 710 along with the Maimang 7. In order to boost the gaming performance, Huawei will add Turbo GPU to the device. Xiaomi is rolling new MIUI 10 8.9.7 ROM based on Android Pie 9.0 for Mi Mix 2S. As per the users on various forums, the latest public beta developer version 8.9.7 is now available for the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S. This makes Mi Mix 2S one of the first Xiaomi devices to taste the stable Android Pie 9.0 update. HTC’s upcoming 5G-enabled flagship smartphone powered by Snapdragon 855 SoC is in works: Report

While HTC has been going through rough times as the company recently reported a 53 percent year-on-year drop in revenues. However, that is not stopping the company and the Taiwanese manufacturer is reportedly working on its next flagship smartphone.

HTC’s Senior RF designer Kevin Duo has revealed through his LinkedIn profile that the company is still powering ahead and is working on an upcoming flagship smartphone that’s powered by Qualcomm‘s Snapdragon 855 processor.

The company is currently sampling the Snapdragon 855 SoC, which is expected to bring impressive performance and efficiency improvements over the current Snapdragon 845. While X24 LTE modem defaults on SD855 SoC, the company could opt for the X50 modem, making the smartphone 5G-compatible.

Qualcomm, which is dominating the mobile chipset market, is currently working on its next-generation flagship processor which the company has already confirmed will be manufactured using 7nm design process. According to the reports, Taiwan-based TSMC will begin the mass production of Qualcomm’s 7nm chipset in the fourth quarter of this year.

Recent reports suggest that Qualcomm could change the naming scheme of its processors with the upcoming chipset. The Snapdragon 855 (SDM855) codenamed “Hena” is now being referred to as the SM8150, which will measure 12.4 x 12.4 mm. It’ll be on par with the recently launched Kirin 980 chipset and the upcoming Apple’s A12 chipset.

Some manufacturers have received samples of the upcoming 7nm chipset, for testing and building new phones powered by the upcoming SoC. We recently reported that Xiaomi and Lenovo could be working on a 5G smartphone powered by Qualcomm chipset.

However, do keep in mind that it’s still a long time before we hear something substantial about the mystery HTC smartphone powered by Snapdragon 855. Smartphones powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor are expected to make its way into the market by the middle of next year.

It seems that HTC has no plans of leaving the smartphone market anytime soon but the company could shift its focus towards flagship smartphones only for higher profit margin instead of mid-range or low-end devices. But much of the company’s future will depend on its upcoming flagship smartphone.

Mi Band 3 NFC Version is almost ready to go on sale in China

A few months ago, Xiaomi launched its third-generation of Mi Band in two variants — one standard Mi Band 3 and another Mi Band 3 NFC version. While the standard version is already available for purchase in China, the NFC version is yet to go on sale.

The company recently posted a video on its Weibo account showcasing the Mi Band 3 NFC version and hinting that the device could soon be available in the market for purchase. Now, Huang Wang, CEO of Huami posted on Weibo that Mi Band 3 NFC version has passed three tests and is almost ready to go on sale. The company had earlier revealed that the Mi Band 3 NFC variant will be available from September but no specific date has been announced yet.

The NFC variant of the Xiaomi’s new third-generation activity tracker comes with support for contactless payments using Mi Pay. It also supports City Bus Card payments that work for over 167 cities in China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Wuhan, Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, Suzhou, Hefei, Xi’an, and Jilin among others.

The Mi Band 3 comes with a 0.78-inch OLED capacitive touchscreen. Chinese smartphone giant Xiaomi has started rolling out the MIUI 10 Stable ROM for some smartphones. Xiaomi is rolling out the new MIUI 10 Stable ROM update to the devices such as Xiaomi 8 SE, Xiaomi Mi MIX2, Xiaomi Mi MIX, Xiaomi Mi 6, Xiaomi Mi 6X, Xiaomi Note 2 and 6 other devices. MIUI 10 is based on Android Oreo 8.1.

Devices getting MIUI 10 Stable update

The update is rolling out to the 12 Xiaomi devices – Xiaomi 8SE, Xiaomi MIX 2, Xiaomi MIX, Xiaomi 6, Xiaomi 6X, Xiaomi Note 2, Xiaomi 5, Redmi 6 Pro, Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A, Redmi Note 5 and Redmi S2. Xiaomi is very aggressive when it comes to product launches and almost every month we see something new from this Chinese company. Now Xiaomi has confirmed yet another event in China, to be held in the famous city of Chengdu. In case you don’t know, this city is famous for its giant pandas, thanks to the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base where tourist can get access and interact with these cute creatures.

The company released a new poster an hour ago via its weibo handle to confirm the event at Chengdu but failed to give out any specific details. However, the teaser poster kind of confirms that the event is for the Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition. If you look closely at the picture, there’s a smartphone in the pot down below. We can see that the phone has dual cameras arranged horizontally, which is identical to the design of the Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth edition that we saw in TENAA images a couple of days back.

The Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth edition is said to come with a 6.26-inch 2280 x 1080 pixel resolution display and Snapdragon 710 chipset inside. There should be 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage along with a 3350mAh battery on board. As for the cameras, there should be a 12+5MP sensor at the back and a large 24MP sensor up front for selfies.

These specs are very similar to the Mi 8 SE. So, it would be interesting to see how Xiaomi places this new model alongside the existing Mi 8 SE with SD710 onboard.
