A few days back, Nubia Manager Ni Fei had hinted that the company was preparing for another smartphone launch in July. This comes just a month after we saw the release of Nubia Z9 bezelless smartphone, so the news came as a bit surprising.
But earlier today, Nubia confirmed that the company will launch a new smartphone series. It looks like the new series will be different from the traditional offerings by the company. The launch will be held at Prague, the capital of Czech Republic instead of its domestic market, China.
The conference will be held on July 8, which is just a week away at 14:00 PM. While the details of the phone is unclear at the moment, rumors suggest that the phone will focus on its design and will be targeted at the female crowd.
Nubia smartphone have always been praised for its beautiful design, so it would be interesting to see which phone is launched next week in Prague. We hope to receive more information pretty soon, so stay tuned.
Remember a few days back we reported that UMi Iron had a hypertech which was better than fingerprint ID. Now, the company has officially confirmed that the hypertech that they were talking about is actually Eye Recognition. This doesn’t come as a surprise given that we had expected to be this tech given its better accuracy and extremely low probability of hacking.
The company is working closely with Eye Verify, the biometric security startup from Kansas to incorporate eye recognition into its flagship. Eye Verify specializes in integrating this tech into smartphones, so its one of the best company at the moment to help UMi with this task.
So, UMi Iron will integrate Eye Verify’s flagship product called as the Eye Print ID. This tech recognizes the pattern of the veins in the user’s eye to unlock the smartphone. Its much secure than fingerprint ID but we are not sure whether its faster. The company has reportedly worked closely with a number of EyeVerify experts in this regard.
With Eye Recognition on board, UMi Iron turns out to be one of the best mid-range flagship smartphone in the market right now. It comes with the octa-core MT6753 chip with 3GB RAM and 13MP rear facing camera. The full tech specs are given below.
Just about an hour after Huawei announced its Honor 7 flagship model in China, Meizu’s event started. The company announced its latest flagship smartphone for the year, Meizu MX5, which also happens to be one of the most anticipated devices of 2015. And looking at the configuration, the company didn’t disappoint its fans.
The flagship comes with an all metal body, which is a much welcome upgrade. The company claims that the body is made from aerospace grade aluminum. Its measures just 7.6mm in thickness and weighs only 149 grams, which is quite decent. Also, with the improved body structure, it is said that the probability of a broken screen gets reduced by 31%.
The Meizu MX5 flagship comes with a 5.5-inch full HD 1080p display which translates into pixel density of 401 ppi. This has become a standard among affordable flagships released this year. The display will be a Super AMOLED panel and features 100% NTSC color gamut and a contrast ratio of 10,000:1.
Under the hood, the MX5 comes with MT6795 Helio X10 chipset. This is a welcome move since Snapdragon 810 heating issues have resulted in negative perception about the chipset. One thing to note here is that the Helio X10 in MX5 will be a slightly faster version, clocked at 2.2GHz instead of 2.0GHz. This powerful chip along with PowerVR G6200 and 3GB of RAM helps the phone achieve about 53,330 on AnTuTu. The company also adds that performance wise, the MX5 is 17% more powerful than MX4.
Coming to the camera, the phone features a 20.7MP sensor with support for 4K video shooting at 30fps, and FHD at 30fps. You get Laser AutoFocus at the back which reportedly focuses in just 0.2 seconds along with color temperature flash. Up front, there is a 5MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture.
The Meizu MX5 comes with Android Lollipop Version on board with the company’s own Flyme 4.5 UI on top. Meizu also adds that it hit over 20 million Flyme subscribers recently. As for the battery, we knew that the 3150mAh capacity one on board will support fast charging. The company officially calls it the Meizu mCharge which can charge MX5 from 0 to 50-60 percent in about 30 minutes and up to 99 percent in under an hour.
Moreover, according to company tests, 5 hours of heavy usage reduced the battery life of MX5 to just 50% as compared to 30% on MX4.
Now coming to the best part, the Meizu MX5 costs just 1799 yuan for the 16GB model, 1999 Yuan for the 32GB variant and finally, 2399 Yuan for the 64GB model. This makes the phone even cheaper than the Honor 7, once again proving that Meizu can easily take on competitors such as Xiaomi and Huawei in the market.
Thanks to TENAA listing, video as well as images leaked earlier, we had a fair idea about the upcoming smartphone. Looks like, almost all of the specs leaked as well images were bang on target.
The phone comes with an all metal design inside a sleek body. In fact, it looks like the phone is inspired from the Huawei P8, which is not a bad thing considering we thought that the design was quite refined and premium.
The Huawei Honor 7 comes with a 5.2-inch full HD 1080p display with Kirin 935 octa-core 64-bit chip under the hood. There will be 3GB of RAM on board with 16GB / 64GB of internal storage options.
Unlike the Honor 6 Plus which came with dual camera design, the Honor 7 uses a single powerful sensor, a 20MP Sony IMX230 as the primary camera with Phase Detection AutoFocus. The camera will be protected by sapphire glass which is scratch resistant. At the front, you will find an 8MP shooter. Naturally, given the flagship status, expect a lot of camera centric features such as slo-mo video shooting, personal filters, time lapse mode and even a special food mode.
Other important specs include Android 5.0 Lollipop version with EMUI 3.1 on top. There will be a 3100mAh battery on board with 9V2A fast charge technology. The company claims that fast charge enables the user up to 1 hour of talktime with just 5 minutes of charge time.
Another highlight of the Honor 7 flagship is its fingerprint sensor at the back. The placement is quite similar to the Huawei Mate 7. The company claims that the fingerprint ID is one of the best. The sensor can identify and unlock the phone in just 0.5 seconds. User can add up to 5 different fingerprints on the device. Moreover, the sensor is reportedly self learning, which means it will improve in accuracy over a period of time.

As for the connectivity, the phone supports dual 4G networks with full connectivity support. The flagship will be available in three different colors namely silver / gray / gold. The pricing starts at 1999 Yuan and users in China can pre-order it till July 6. The actually shipping starts from July 7.
Its good to see that Huawei has upgraded the design (metal body) as well as the specifications in this new generation flagship. Considering the overall package, the Honor 7 turns out to be a great device in under $325!
So, what do you think about this flagship? Are you impressed?
When I first started to get in to China phones, there were a few main brands that put out one maybe two phones a year, they tended to be higher end (well higher end china based mediatek) phones, the rest of the market was taken up with a mix of clones (of Apple and Samsung phones) and low end, low budget phones.
Over the last two years things have really started to change, with the release of newer 64bit soc’s from mediatek that are able to keep up with and in some cases beat soc’s from the likes of Qualcom, the newer breed of china phones are really starting to get noticed outside of China.
But with all these great features now becoming ultra affordable, there appear to be a lot more companies entering in to the market, most are offering rebranded handsets with decent specs and in many cases undercutting the original prices of the phones they have rebadged, whilst other companies are pumping out new phones at an incredible rate.
Many people are getting upset by the constant shift in new phones, that phone you ordered on pre-release last month with great specs and a great price, is just starting to ship… and the company announces their newest model will be out soon on pre-release… I can understand how frustrating this might be for some people and totally appreciate the annoyance it must cause to them, but if you look at it from another perspective is it really such a bad thing?
Whatever we buy in our lives will eventually be replaced with something newer and shinier, that is just inevitable.
I like the rest of you (hopefully) research my purchases based on what is currently available in my price range, if what I want and need is available in my budget I buy it and use it to do what it is that I purchased it for, happy in the knowledge that it fulfils my requirements and has done so within my budget.
Should I be upset that another phone is released soon after? or should I just be happy with my purchase? lets not forget that pretty much any current Mediatek 64bit SOC based phone will be fast enough to perform without problems and throw plenty of pixels around to keep even the most intensive games playing smoothly.
Yes its nice to have the latest and greatest phone, but over here in England where most handsets are given as part of a phone contract (on a subsidised basis), you are stuck with whatever handset you choose for 18 months to 2 years!
So if you were to choose for instance a S6 Edge (the phone will cost about $80 upfront + $80 each month for unlimited texts and calls + 4gb of 4g data) and get it on its release date, you would still be using that phone until the S8 Edge 3 is released.
At least with the current raft of China phones that we are luck enough to have access too, we can purchase a phone and use lower priced sim only packages, the same $80 monthly package on sim only is just $25
S6 Edge on 24 month contract
$80 upfront + $80 x 24months = $2000
VS
China Phone over 24 months on sim only
$180 upfront + $25 x 24months = $780
or to put it another way
$2000 – $780 = $1220
$1220 / $180 = 6.7777
That means that including the original China phone that you purchased at the start of the contract you could purchase an a new phone every 3.5 months over the 24 month period… sounds great but it gets better!
If you consider that you are likely to be able to resell your handsets for $100 + the number of new handsets you could have over that 24 month period becomes crazy.
Based on that math you have the choice to change your phone for the latest and greatest offerings or too be happy with the handset you picked and purchased (that lets not forget ticked all the boxes you needed at the time) and enjoy the financial savings each month on your contract.
Lets stop hating on companies like Elephone that are putting out lots of new phones and instead enjoy the innovation and speed at which we are able to get new tech, buy continually pushing the boundaries we are seeing ever greater products at amazing prices.
Hopefully with Elephone announcing the release of source code for the P8000 it will make other phone companies in China take note and do the same, this will help to ensure that older handsets continue to receive support they deserve.
If it was the other way around I would be a lot less happy as a geek than I am now, more toys for less money is better than less toys for more money.
Let me know what you think in the comments below, hopefully I have given a different perspective to a current issue.
I have received this image that appears to be a conceptual design for an upcoming Elephone frameless phone, featuring an ultra thin design and 5.5″ screen.
My sources have told me that it should have at least a 3000mah battery inside but it may possibly be higher capacity.
If this were to come with an X20 processor onboard it would be an awesome handset capable of shaking up the market and giving a real rival to the Nubia Z9
Regarding price for the handset, my source has advised that the phone should hopefully be available at around the $300 price point.
As yet camera, processor, ram and rom sizes have not been provided but with the frameless design, I hope that Elephone will go with top specs and claw back some of the china phone fans that are currently sitting on the fence.
As soon as I receive further updates I will let you all know
UMI had earlier released the Umi Voix headphones but that didn’t get much attention. Now, the company is back with a brand new Over-the-head headphones called as the UMI Voix Blu. While we are still not sure about the specifications of the device, from the pictures that we have received, the headphones look quite good.
The UMI Voix Blu will connect to any Android, iOS or Windows handset that supports Bluetooth connectivity. According to the box, the wireless range is around 10 meters which is quite decent.
It comes with an inbuilt rechargeable battery which provides music playback for around 10 hours. You can charge it back to full capacity within 2-3 hours via USB.
One of the highlights of the Voix Blu is its design. The overall body is super light and flexible making it possible to adjust it on your head according to your requirement and comfort. Moreover, you have five different buttons on the right hand side. So, you can play/ pause, forward, backward and adjust volume settings right from the headphone’s control unit.
The Voix Blu headphones also supports hands free calling, so, as long as you are connected to the smartphone via Bluetooth, you can talk on the phone. We are not yet sure about the sound quality of the headphones, but it supports advanced noise cancellation and powerful bass, so we expect it to be good.

Anyways, we hope to get the Voix Blu headphones for review soon, so that we can estimate the quality of the build and the audio output.
We have been hearing about a new power bank from Meizu for the past few months. Back in April we came across a leaked picture of a 10000mAh capacity power bank from this Chinese company but as of now, we haven’t heard anything officially. However, earlier today, a new picture of the upcoming Meizu power bank cropped up on the internet revealing a slightly different design.
Unlike the earlier picture which had a single tone silver color design, this new render reveals a two tone color design. You can see that the device features grey color at the end with a white finish on the majority of the body. Its quite slim which makes us believe that the capacity should be limited somewhere around 5000mAh. Also, you will find only one USB output port for charging devices along with four other LED lights for displaying the charge remaining.
Although Meizu has an event later today, it unlikely that it will announce a brand new power bank. Instead, we expect the company to release its new flagship smartphone for the year, the Meizu MX5.
Huawei also has an event later today, so stay tuned to the website for more updates.
OnePlus has been slowly teasing a few aspects of its upcoming OnePlus Two smartphone. Its been more than a year since we saw the first flagship device from the company, and latest rumors indicate that we will get to see the handset sometime in July.
Now, the company has released a new teaser which reveals that the OnePlus Two will feature Fingerprint ID. Apparently, the sensor inside the ‘Two’ will be faster than Apple’s Touch ID. We still don’t know whether this is possible due to a better sensor or some software tweak, but it will definitely speed up the process of unlocking your smartphone. The company aims to make fingerprint ID a core feature of the device, so it may not just be limited to unlocking the phone.
Interestingly, the two main smartphones that are going to launch today namely the Meizu MX5 and the Huawei Honor 7 are both expected to come with fingerprint ID. It looks like mainstream smartphone manufacturers have finally decided to make fingerprint ID standard among flagship devices.
We will be covering both the launches which will start in a few hours. So, stay tuned for more updates.
Doogee has been relatively busy over the past couple of weeks. We have already seen more than three new devices that’s coming from this Chinese company this year. Now, we have news about another Doogee device which will hit the market before the end of 2015, the all new Doogee F2015.
Company’s often include the year of launch in the model name of their flagships, and looks like the F2015 could be Doogee’s flagship for the year. According to our information, the device is expected to hit the markets sometime in September, which is still a couple of months away.
As for the specs, the phone will reportedly come with the MT6753 octa-core chip, which although is clocked at slightly lower speeds as compared to the MT6752, it comes with the advantage of additional network connectivity support. As a result, many new mid-range flagships have started using this chip instead of the MT6752. The processor will be supported by the powerful Mali-T760 GPU.
Other specs include a full HD 5.5-inch 1080p display with 2.5D glass with Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable memory and a 3000mAh capacity battery. At the back, there will be a 13MP rear camera (either Sony or Samsung) and an 8MP OV front facing shooter.
Apart from these specs, which are quite powerful, the Doogee F2015 will come with fingerprint identification. Other notable features include 1mm narrow bezels with screen to body ratio of 79 % and double flash at the back.
The device will come in Silver and Grey colors and will launch in September. Unfortunately, we are still unsure about the pricing of the Doogee F2015. But considering the recent leaked handsets, the company could price this device quite aggressively.
Even before Apple officially released its first wearable in the market, the Apple Watch, knock offs / clones started appearing online. We have come across many such Apple Watch clones in the past few months and looks like there’s another one coming to the market pretty soon.
We are talking about the new GoWatch which takes its design inspiration from Apple Watch. So, anyone who loved the Apple’s simple yet attractive design can take a look at this less pricey offering.
We don’t have much details about the GoWatch, but we do have some pictures which confirm an Apple Watch like design. As you can see, it comes with a similar silver colored case as the Apple Wearable and looks quite good too. We have a lot of pictures of the device, which we have added down below.
The GoWatch features everything you would expect from a budget wearable. It comes with MTK MT2502c processor and features pedometer, heart rate sensor, ultraviolet detection etc. You can light up the watch with just a flip. Another advantage is that the watch works with both Android and iOS devices.

Unfortunately, we still don’t know the official pricing of the device, but we expect more details pretty soon. Stay tuned for more information.
At the time of launch, the same phone was priced at 2300 Yuan. So, Xiaomi has officially reduced its price by around 300 Yuan, which is definitely a great move. When you compare the price drop in terms of dollars, now, the 16GB Xiaomi Mi Note version can be purchased for just $322 as opposed to the $370 price tag.
The company will be offering 300 Yuan vouchers to those who will purchase the device. As you can see, this definitely makes the Mi Note a great buy at the moment. Those are lucky enough to get the vouchers can redeem them any time between July 6 to July 13. What’s more, the terms and conditions of the deal state that if you buy more than one Mi Note from the same account, you may get multiple vouchers too.
Xiaomi Mi Note is a great device and this price will definitely attract a lot of interested buyers.
Huawei will release its latest flagship, the Huawei Honor 7 on Tuesday, i.e. 30 June 2015. We have already heard a lot about the upcoming device, including the possibility that there may be multiple variants. Now, latest rumors adds some more detail about this possibility.
According to Chinese media, Honor 7 will come in multiple versions and one of the biggest difference between these models will be the body and the material used. Earlier rumors indicated that the difference could be limited to the specs inside. However, it looks like the low end and high end versions will differ in the design too.
The low end version is said to come with round corners and a metal frame, rather than an all metal body. On the other hand, the high end version will reportedly come in an all metal body.
Also, it is said that the phone will be powered by the latest Kirin processor, most likely to be the Kirin 940 chipset. The performance is expected to be better than the Kirin 930 which uses eight Cortex A53e cores. Kirin 940 will be built on a 20nm process with possible configuration of quad Cortex A53 + Two Cortex A72 cores or quad A53 + two A57 cores. The cores will be clocked at 1.9Ghz to avoid overheating.
Apart from the body and design, there are differences in the specs as well. The low end version is said to come with 3GB RAM and 16GB internal storage while the high end version will come with 4GB and 128GB storage. There will be 16MP OIS camera, 5.2-inch 1080p display and a 3280mAh battery on both the models. Other features include full network connectivity and fingerprint recognition.
While we are still not clear about the pricing of the handset, expect the base model to start at around 1999 Yuan.
Oneplus 2 will be revealed on July 27th, and it’ll be the world’s first product to launch in VR. There are 2 specs were confirmed by official: the new Oneplus 2 phone will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 processor, and the latest USB type-c port. Today, a picture leaked on Weibo, and tell us about what the Oneplus 2 looks like.
The Oneplus 2 looks smaller than the One, but use a metal frame material. The screen should be still 5.5 inch, and with a removable plastic back cover. There is stereo speaker on the bottom, and the type-c port is in the middle. The new phone thickness is only 5-6mm, so it’s really slim. The leaked picture is not very clear, so we still need wait for a month.
The DG1 has an additional detachable ariel that allows it to also be used as both a phone and a walkie talkie featuring a powerful 1w transceiver it should be capable of communicating over a range of 3-4km, the walkie talkie operates in the 400 ~ 480 MHZ bands for crystal clear reception.
The DG1 could be the ideal phone for adventurous types that are going out of usual cell phone reception areas, allowing them to keep in contact and reduce the amount of gadgets they need to carry, it could also be great for those working on site in building trades that currently have to carry separate hand held radios and cell phones.
The DG1 also boasts an ratting of IP68 for shock, dust and water resistance, again making it a great fit for adventurers or those working outside.
The DG1 runs Android 4..2.2 on a 32bit Mediatek MTK6582cpu and features 8gb rom (expandable to 32gb via micro SD) and 1gb ram.
Whilst the DG1 does not feature LTE it does have dual sim support along with an 8mp rear camera and 5mp front camera.
The addition rugged casing, IP68 rating and the walkie talkie feature make this a niche phone, that is certainly an interesting option for those looking for a sturdier phone that can roll with the punches.
The release is scheduled for next week with and the price will be $175, the DG1 will come in the following colours black, green, orange and yellow
When it comes to Xiaomi we all think of cheap, yet great smartphones they produce. However, the company has a huge portfolio of very affordable accessories to offer. It turns out that they produce not only power banks and cheap headphones, but also the Bluetooth speakers.
Well, we have seen a lot of Bluetooth speaker that cost around $100, but it seems that Xiaomi has a high quality product, which you can now grab for under $20.
One of the highlights of this product is that it spots a great design with some high quality materials which include an aluminium casing and plastic speaker grill.
In addition, it has the Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, which allows a wireless music streaming up to 10 meters (33 feet). Also, a built-in 1200mAh battery is said to last you up to 10 hours of continues music playback.
We haven’t tested the speaker yet but it other reviews suggest that this is a great bang for the buck. Of course, you can expect the best sound quality with a deep bass, but hey, it costs just under $20 this time.
The NO.1 is known for producing some clone devices for a low price. Although you may have heard about the company because of the variety of smartphones they offer, it turns out that they also produce smartwatches. The reason we are covering this is that the Sun S2 model looks like a bargain for what it offers.
We haven’t reviewed the device yet (hope to do it soon), but looks great as far as design and specs go.
The NO.1 SUN S2 smartwatch has a classic and elegant design and according to the manufacturer, it is the first smartwatch with the 44mm diameter circular shape. The NO.1 says that the device uses some exquisite materials and it embodies a perfect combination of technology and manufacturing skills.
The smartwatch uses the top-notch materials like 316L stainless steel, which is bump and scratch resistant and has the anti-corrosion features. It comes in the attractive silver, cool black and noble gold color options. Moreover, the high quality housing is waterproof meaning that you can work in any weather conditions or underwater. Also, the customer can choose either the stainless steel or leather made strap to show the distinctive style and personality. If you pre-order it you will get a both steel and leather straps! (the suggested retail price of the the strap is $15).
The NO.1 SUN S2 allows you to connect the device to the Android and Apple devices. The devices offers features like syncing communication apps with your smartphone and smartwatch. Also, it has the activity tracking options like pedometer, heart rate monitor, sedentary reminder, sleep monitor and other healt-oriented features. Also, it has the variety of wallpaper styles, including the most popular film stills, so you can personalize the look the way you want.
If we consider a low price tag of this product, it shapes up to be an interesting offering. We can’t wait to review this to see if it delivers what is promises on paper. Stay tuned for that.
All these great features can be on your wrist for incredibly low price of just $54.99.
Nubia is quite a popular Chinese brand, established by a tech giant ZTE. We have all seen great devices, which have a decent price tag. In turns out that the company does not want to settle with their devices portfolio as one of the general managers has recently announced that the company may introduce a new – My series devices line as early as in July.
According to some reports, the new My series smartphones will concentrate on design and build quality. Also, some of them may be female-oriented.
To support these rumours Weibo user @Felix has leaked a few spy blurry shots of upcoming Nubia device. The leaked photo suggests that this device has some clear inspirations from the Oppo R7 in terms of design. Also, it uses the same materials, which mainly include metal and glass.
In addition, we can see that the device spots a signature Nubia home button with pulsing light effect, a very slim body and the back shell uses a gold colour metal material. Moreover, it looks like a new smartphone uses a 2.5D glass technology.
It is said that Nubia will launch this device next month, although the exact date is not disclosed. We will keep you posted on the latest news and all the updates.
Xiaomi is not widely known not only for its smartphones but also for a wide array of accessories. This time around about the Xiaomi Piston headphones, which were released some time ago. However, due to its popularity the company decided to launch some new colour options, which include glacier blue, lilac, and cherry pink. As usual, the headphones will carry a ridiculously low price of just 49 Yuan (around $15) in China.
The new colour options are said to be “The most suitable for the streets”, meaning that they are mainly designed to express your individuality. It is worth mentioning that Xiaomi did some things to improve the quality of the headset.
In order to improve the toughness of the headset, the Kevlar fiber material was added in manufacturing the headphone wire. Thus, it should prolong the life of the cable and makes it more sturdy. What is more, the headphones have a flat cable design.
Other features worth mentioning are the built-in mic, which is fully compatible with Xiaomi and mainstream Android smartphones. The buttons let you take a full control of volume, play/pause, answer or hang up the call and other features.
Apple users will be also able to use the play/pause, answer or hang up the call features.
Some key specs of these headphones include impedance – 32Ω, sensitivity – 98dB, frequency response range 20-20000Hz. In addition, the headphones have a weight of 15g. Also, the headphones use some sound enhancement technologies like a “sandwich diaphragm” metal composite technology and third-generation balance damping system and so on.
The headphones are already on sale in China and can be purchased via official online MI store.
We all know that we have so many great devices that are coming out in China. However, many of them don’t have Google Play/Services pre-installed out of the box. Sometimes, there is an easy way to do it, other time you have to wait for a particular workaround.
Of the devices that need to get Google Play installed manually are Letv Le, Le 1 and Le 1 Max. They are all beautiful devices with some killer specs sheet, but this shortcoming is something users in the West can’t live without. In case you missed Letv Le 1 (One/S1/X600) review, you can check it out here. Also, please stay tuned as I already have the Le 1 Pro in my hands and working on another review.
A lot of you guys have asked me how to install Google Play Services on Letv smartphones, so I decided to make a short tutorial video to help you out. Make sure to watch the entire video as you need to follow all the steps carefully.
Step No. 1 would be that you have to download the Google Installer apk and sideload it on your Letv smartphone. The link is in the description below this video on Youtube.
Once you’ve done you have to install the Google installer app l as you would install any app.
Once the installation process is done, you have to open up the app and select Google Play app to install. Then you will receive a message saying that you don’t have Google Services framework. Here you have to click ok and select the install icon located on the bottom then select continue and wait till all the apps shown in the list are downloaded. Sometimes it may take a few minutes, just let your device rest for a while.
Once the apps are dowloaded you will be prompted to install them one by one. It is very important to select install option for all the apps except for the Google Play store at this stage. Once you are asked to install Google Play Store, you have to click cancel.
As soon as the installation Google Play Services, Google Account Manager and Google Services framework is done, you have to close the application and reboot your device.
After you have rebooted your Letv smartphone, you have to launch Google Installer app again and then select Google Play from the list, download it and install it. Once you’ve done that, you have the Google Play Store with all the Google Services up and running on your device.
What you want to do right now is set up you Google account and start downloading the apps you need.
However, you will receive a Google Play Services error message and will be prompted to update it. You have to do that immediately to make sure the apps are running smoothly.
Some other things I recommend doing is to install any third party keyboard like Google Keyboard as the preinstalled one has too many Chinese aspects in it. In addition, I downloaded the Google app to make sure I have the best Google integration possible.
