The Honor 3C’s dimensions are 71.4 x 139.5 x 9.2 mm. It weighs 140g. It sports a 5-inch 1280 x 720 LCD screen. It may not be Full HD, but it is still pretty good considering the price.
The heart of the Huawei Honor 3C’s hardware is its SoC, MediaTek’s MT6582 quad-core processor which uses ARM Cortex-A7 cores and has a frequency of 1.3GHz. It also has 2GB RAM. As for the software, the European version does not have the final version of the operating system, but it does have the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS along with Huawei’s Emotion UI.
Recently, another cellphone from Huawei’s Honor subsidiary received its network license at the MIIT website. There are two versions of this phone and their model numbers are PE-TL10 and PE-UL10. Both have exactly the same specifications except that one is the China Mobile version while the other is the China Unicom version. According to reports, this could be the rumored Huawei Honor 6X which is expected to come out at the end of the year.
The biggest selling point for this device is that it sports a dual-camera with a dual-LED flash. It has a 5.5-inch display screen, a 1.8GHz octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, and 32GB ROM (it also supports expansion Micro SD cards up to 64GB).
The phone’s mid-frame will also be changed somewhat. It is expected to be made of aluminum. Its dimensions are 150.4 x 75.68 x 7.5mm.
All in all, this is an upgraded version of the Huawei Honor 6 and hopefully, it does not disappoint.
In this review, we evaluate Astrotec’s AM700 earphones which we shall review at different frequencies.
Low frequency
When listening to the drumbeat in “Midnight” from “Treasure Island Sound”, you can hear the frequency going done. It does not have that booming sound from previous earphones. It also sounds faster and clearer. The sound is managed more properly.
Medium Frequency
The improvements done for the AM700 have made is so that when listening to old music, it sounds as if they are singing in front of you.
High frequency
In a piece that I heard where there were only two instruments being played, a saxophone and a Chinese lute, the saxophone is easy to distinguish. In another song where a suona is played, the sound is very clear and pleasant to hear.
Overall, this pair of headphones are good Astrotec did a good job in the upgrades they made for it.

Meizu has already sent out an invitation to the launch of the Meizu MX4 Pro which will be held on November 19 at 2:30 PM in Beijing. The invitation features a picture of a vinyl record. Does this mean that Meizu has added some improvement on the MX4’s music features? When Meizu first launched the MX4, they did so under the slogan “Think High.” Now, they are launching the Pro version under the slogan “Think Higher.” So, expect some interesting changes with the MX4 Pro.
It has already been reported that the Meizu MX4 Pro will have a fingerprint scanner and that they will remove the small Home button. Unlike other fingerprint scanners, it reads your fingerprint when you press it like a button instead of swiping your finger. It also has a 5.5-inch 2K screen, 3GB RAM, the Samsung Exynos 5 octa-core processor and a 20.7mp camera.
If you’re asking yourself what gift you want to buy your folks for Christmas that would be very useful for them in this digital age that we live in, you can consider the Cube Talk7x, a tablet that is aimed at older users. To start off this review of the octa-core version of the Talk7X, here are some things worth noting about this tablet:
Whereas the Cube Talk5H is 200g, the Talk7x is only 75g.
It has support for GSM and WCDMA networks as well as dual-SIM. The big SIM slot support China Unicom 3G. When you install the MIUI OS into this device, only the smaller card slot will be 3G-supported.
It has a GPS.
It has 1GB RAM and 2mp rear-facing camera.
Appearance
The left and right sides of the Cube Talk7X’s frame are narrower than the top and bottom, making this phone look narrow and long. This makes it easier and comfortable for the user to hold. It has a speaker and microphone like many other tablets. Beside the speaker are the .3mp front-facing camera and light and proximity sensors. The craftsmanship is impressive.
This phone uses a very popular color scheme where the front is black and the back is white. The Talk5H follows the same pattern.
Imprinted on the back is the phrase “Made in China” which the Talk5h does not have.
Let’s take another look at the Cube Talk7X’s size. It has a bigger screen (7 inches) than its rival, the Xiaomi Red Mi (5.5 inches). This can give the user a great viewing experience.
II. GPS test
At first, the GPS satellite signal was pretty stable, and did not get disconnected after an hour of driving. Overall, it is very reliable.
III. Cellphone features
Since the Talk7X is a phone tablet, we cannot finish this review without mentioning its cellphone capabilities. Even with earphones, when somebody calls you, it still rings through the speakers.
IV. Battery life
Before we discuss this tablet’s battery life and endurance, it is important to mention that the Cube Talk7X uses the MTK MT8392 processor. This 28nm chipset uses Cortex-A7 cores. It can be seen as the tablet version of the MT6572 which is not compatible with MID devices. Like the MT6572, the MT8392 has support for 3G (TD/WCDMA internet) and 2.5G EDGE networks. It has a frequency of 1.2GHz and has support for DDR3 memory.
It can be said that the MT8312 was designed for low-end tablets, but with a battery supply of 2700mAh, how long can we use the Talk7x?
With the 3G and GPS on, after an hour and 10 minutes, 41% of the power is used. When you turn on the WiFi and use QQ or play games for an hour, it uses up 28%.
This kind of endurance is not enough for making phone calls and such.
V. Conclusion
Pros:
It only cost 399 RMB (65.19 USD).
The craftsmanship is excellent.
GPS is great.
Octa-core processor works smoothly on 1024×600 resolution
Dual SIM phablet
Cons:
Camera pixel can not be used as a regular phone.
Battery life is not that good at least for heavy usrs like me.
Overall, this tablet is not bad and is worth the price.
Even though Xiaomi mainly produces cellphones, recently, they have been venturing into more and more fields.
Now, it was reported that Xiaomi is quietly preparing a new device that we will be introduced to late this year. Xiaomi is teaming up with Shanghai-based, Xiaoyi Tech. and has already invested in the company. According to reports, this device is a wearable camera similar to the GoPro and it will be given a price similar to Xiaomi’s other products. Surprised?
Here we are going to discuss about two brand new phones which you are going to see soon in the market, i.e. Doogee DG 850 and Hitman and Elephone P4000. The first thing that we would like to mention is that both of these device are coming from the same factory, but at the same time both of them vary in terms of specifications as well as marked price. Starting from design and running till the processors, both of these Smartphones have very little difference among them. However, here we are to tell you about the difference as well as the similarities in both the devices in various specification as well as the features that they offer to the consumers.
Doogee DG 850 Hitman vs. Elephone P4000
Design
Both of these devices have a premium design but look almost similar to Xiaomi Mi4 but without the “Mi” logo. The design has definitely been copied from Mi4 including the positioning of camera, front camera, bar design and the metal finish. Just the difference in Doogee DG 850 Hitman is that it has CNC cuts in the Aluminum – Zinc alloy chassis.
Processor and RAM
Talking about the processor of the Smartphones, Doogee DG 850 Hitman comes with a quad core Cortex A7 MediaTek MT6582 processor clocked at 1.3 GHz. It is also the world’s first processor with GPS, FM, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi coming as integrated functions. Elephone P4000 here takes the lead and beats Doogee DG 850 with a Octa core MTK6592 processor clocked at the frequency of 1.7 GHz. Doogee DG 850 also possesses less RAM, i.e. only 1 GB when compared to Elephone P4000 which comes embedded with 2 GB RAM thus offering a smoother experience to the users. The only thing where Doogee DG 850 wins is the ROM size. DG 850 has 16 GB ROM installed in it but the Elephone 4000 is limited to 8GB ROM. However, the ROM of both the devices could be extended with the help of Micro SD cards.
Screen
Both of the Smartphones have same screen size on 5 inch as well as possess same resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. So there is no difference in screens of both of the devices.
Camera
One could see a huge difference in camera of both the devices. On one hand Doogee DG 850 features an 8 MP primary camera as well as 2 MP front camera, while on the other hand Elephone 4000 comes with 13 MP primary and 5 MP front camera. Elephone P4000 thus no doubt has an upper hand here.
Battery
Battery is a very important factor in all the Smartphones. Since most of the Android phones do not last very long on battery, it becomes very crucial to choose a device with long battery life. Both of Doogee DG850 and Elephone P4000’s battery life is not being comfirmed yet, what you see on their website is not the final spesifications yet, cause the real phone is still manufacturing in the factory. But they are not slim phones, so with a quad-core mediatek
Gesture control is an amazing feature which has been included in both the device. It is more or less identical and all you need to do is to make pattern on the off screen in order to perform various actions directly.
Operating System
No difference could be found in the Operating System of these devices too. Both of the devices run on Android 4.4 KitKat version.
Verdict
Overall there is not much difference in both the device excluding the processing unit and the camera. This is also the main reason behind the price difference of both the device. Elephone P4000 undoubtedly comes out as the winner among the both with much better CPU and camera and is priced at $159.99. while on the other hand, elephone is known for price their cellphone “cheaper then cheaper” will Doogee DG 850 be priced cheaper than Elephone P4000?
Not long after the release of the Coolpad Dashen F2 China Unicom version, Coolpad announced the release of the newest member of the Dashen family, the Dashen F1 Plus. Based on its name, we know that it is an upgraded version of the Dashen F1.
The Dashen F1 plus has only been introduced in a poster with the slogan, “Faster than Faster,” showing that this version will be faster than the original. Perhaps, they will upgrade the processor or RAM. The original version has the MT6592 octa-core processor and 2G RAM. Could it be that the new version will have a 64-bit LTE chip?
There are some little differences in the F1 Plus’ appearance and the original’s. A closer look and you will see that the Plus version has a thinner frame around the screen. It also uses the round Home button. Overall, it has a neat and clean appearance and with a white back and black front.
This August, we were introduced to a new cellphone brand called Wa Mobile. Everyone has had their eyes on it for a while since it strives to create the most cost-effective products. Recently, they announced that they will launch the Wa Cellphone on December 12 in Zhengzhou, China.
This phone has a very narrow frame along with a 5.5-inch 1080p display screen. As a device that will be sold in online channels, it will have a customized user interface. In addition, the Wa Cellphone uses MTK’s new 64-bit octa-core SoC, the MTK MT6752 making it one of the first cellphones to use this processor.
On November 11, Xiaomi will release a special edition of the Xiaomi Mi4. At the time, some thought that it was the low-end version which received a network license from MIIT. Its specifications were mostly the same but the RAM was decreased from 3GB to 2GB. Now, Xiaomi CEO, Lei Jun, has officially confirmed it in his Weibo account.
This afternoon, Lei Jun announced that the Xiaomi Mi4 Special Edition will go on sale that on the 11th for 1799 RMB, and will have 2GB RAM and support for 4G internet. It will only go on sale for that day at the Chinese online store T-mall. Its other specifications were not announced but it’s assumed that they are the same as in the original. Furthermore, Lei Jun said that Xiaomi has produced 1,200,000-1,500,000 Mi4 phones this month and will try to make over 2 million by December.
Jiayu had previously announced the devices that they plan to release late this year and early next year. Soon, they will release the Jiayu F2 and S3, both of which support dual-SIM and dual-4G. The Jiayu S3 uses the LTE 64-bit MTK MT6752 octa-core processor. Recently, more information regarding this phone has come out.
The version that has been introduced so far is the black version. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p OGS display screen. It also has a width of 75.5mm, a height of 152mm, and a thickness of 9.4mm. Even though it is not very slim, it is powered by a battery with over 3000mAh.
The Jiayu S3 has a curved back that makes it easy and comfortable to carry. The rear-facing camera barely sticks out and also comes with dual-LED flash. According to reports, Jiayu will release a 2G RAM version and 3G ram version and the prices will be affordable.
Analyst Bo Jiutang, announced in his Weibo account that Xiaomi was already preparing the Xiaomi Red Mi2 and that it will use a processor that is part of the Snapdragon 600 series. Since Qualcomm has already stopped production for the Snapdragon 600 recently, it is likely that the Red Mi2 will use the new 64-bit Snapdragon 615 octa-core chipset.
It was also leaked that the Red Mi2 will cost around 1000 RMB (162.63 USD), have a 5.5-inch 1080p display screen, a 13mp camera, and 2GB RAM.
It has not yet been announced when they will release the Meizu MX4 Pro, so we do not know if they will release a China Telecom version or China Mobile version. We do know, however, that the Meizu MX4 Pro supports SIM cards from China Telecom, China Mobile, and China Unicom, so there is no reason why the MX4 Pro won’t. In addition, since the MX4 also has support for 4G networks, the MX4 Pro should too.
Since the MX4 Pro is supposed to be more advanced than the original, there is no reason why the former will not support these.
It is rumored that the Meizu MX4 Pro has a 5.4-inch 2560 x 1536 display screen, the Exynos 5430 octa-core processor, and support for Hi-Fi sound effects. It will also have fingerprint reader that users can just press instead of swiping. It may cost around 2499 RMB (406.40 USD).
On October 29, Chinese cellphone manufacturer OPPO held a launch event in Beijing for its fall releases: The OPPO N3 and R5 which is probably the slimmest cellphone in the world, along with other products.
VOOC Rapid Charger
The rapid charger was first used in the OPPO Find 7. As the size of the screens of cellphones increase, so does the amount of power consumed. Cellphone battery developers could no longer keep up with the increasing power consumption rate. Rapid chargers have greatly helped solve the problem. In the launch, OPPO showed the upgrades they made to the batteries of their products as well as the chargers. They also showed that their new products will use VOOC.
Pure Image 2.0
OPPO’s cellphones will also use the Pure Image 2.0 image processor which was first used in the OPPO Find 7.
OPPO N3’s motorized rotating camera
The main selling points for the OPPO N1 were its big screen and rotating camera. This time, OPPO added a small motor to the N3’s rotating camera allowing it to follow objects as they move.
Fingerprint encryption
The OPPO N3 comes with a fingerprint reader at the back which can be used to do things such as open the camera and the photo album.
OPPO R5 breaks the record for thinnest cellphone in the world
The Gionee S5.1 is no longer the slimmest cellphone around. Meet the OPPO R5 which has a thickness of only 4.85mm. It also uses a 1080p display screen (OLED) and IMX 214 camera.
It is best to use a Micro USB if you want to use earphones as this phone may be too thin for a 3.5mm earphone jack.
Prices
The OPPO N3 costs 3999 RMB (654.21 USD) while the R5 costs 2999 (490.62 USD). They may look expensive but take note that OPPO will send them using traditional channels, not online stores, so do not be surprised that they are so expensive.
Here, we go hands on with OPPO’s latest device, the OPPO N3. This 3999 RMB (654.21 USD) phone has an interesting design featuring a motorized camera and fingerprint scanner.
Appearance
In terms of appearance, the OPPO N3 actually looks pretty similar to its predecessor, the N1. Not only did the N1 have such a big screen, the rotating camera also took a lot of space, making it easier for users to hold the phone with one hand. To fix this, the screen size for the N3 was lowered from 5.9 inches to 5.5 inches.
The OPPO N3 also has a notification light bar at the bottom similar to the Sony LT26, although it has been hollowed out, replacing the LED notification light bar commonly used by Android phones.
Is a motorized rotating camera practical?
One of the benefits to having a motorized camera is that it allows the user to hold the phone more easily.Small-handed users of the OPPO N1 and N1 Mini would have to use their other hand to adjust the camera angle. Another advantage to having a motorized camera is that after you place a camera in a stable position, it can automatically scan the entire landscape. This allows you to take great photos of places such as tall skyscrapers.
As you can see, having a motorized camera can be very helpful. You can also expand the field of view of the camera as well as track down objects. This camera, in particular, is a 16mp camera and has a 1/2.3 sensor. However, users can take 64mp panoramic shots with a camera like this.
How does the fingerprint sensor work?
The OPPO N3’s fingerprint scanner is not the kind that you have to swipe your finger on to use. You can just press your finger on it like a button.
FPC provide sensor chip, algorithm provided by swedish company Precise Biometrics. Module(scanner), packing solution and related software service provided by Crucial Tech of Korea. I am equity investor.
Users can lock certain apps using the fingerprint scanner so that when you lend your phone to someone, access to certain apps is limited.
Overall, it’s a pretty interesting phone and is worth a look, especially if you are into photography.
After the price cut down of the Huawei Honor 6 and Meizu’s announcement that over 100,000 Meizu MX4 phones will go on sale on 11th November, it looks like it is going to be an interesting huge sale day.
It was reported earlier that Xiaomi was preparing to release a low-end version of the Xiaomi Mi4 with no differences in the specifications except that the low-end version will have 2GB RAM instead of 3Gb RAM like the original. Of course, they will also cut down the price. In this case, it is expected to go done to 1799 RMB (294.31 USD) or even lower. Today, Xiaomi’s official website confirmed this saying that they will release a “special version” of the Mi4 on 11th November, but did not say anything about its specs and price.
The low-end edition Xiaomi Mi4 is actuarly the Xiaomi Mi4 Youth Edition which will only go on sale on 11th November.
If you already thought that the Xiaomi Red Mi Note and Huawei Honor 4 are powerful for phones that cost 999 RMB, then you have not seen anything yet, as the IUNI U2 not only costs 999 RMB but also uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800.
Two versions of the IUNI U2 are on sale at Chinese online store, JD. One is the low-cost version (999 RMB) with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM, while the other is the high-cost version (1199 RMB/196.15 USD) which has 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM. Unfortunately, it is only available in select locations.
The IUNI U2 sports a 4.7-inch 1080p touchscreen, the 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, a 4mp/16mp dual-camera, and 2200mAh battery. Its OS is the IUNI OS which is based on the Android 4.3. It only has support for GSM and WCDMA networks, not 4G.
A few days ago, Xiaomi announced on their official Weibo account that they would release a mysterious device for a special price (99 RMB) at the Chinese online store T-Mall on Singles Day. Netizens debated over what this device could be, with many guessing that it is an enhanced version of a mobile phone battery. Some claimed that it might be a 3G MiFi. Now, the veil has been lifted. It is actually a new mobile phone battery with 16000mAh, which is about 50% higher than the previous 10400mAh battery. It also comes with two USB ports and its cover is still made of aluminum.
The official price of this battery is actually 129 RMB (21.10 USD), but will cost 99 RMB at T-Mall during China’s Singles Day. Despite having a much higher battery capacity than the 10400mAh battery, it is not as wide and can be easily carried.
