Meizu unveiled the Meizu MX4 flagship earlier this month to rival Xiaomi’s Mi4. The company made sure that its device was better or atleast at par with Mi4 in terms of specifications as well as pricing. In fact, when Meizu MX4 went up for pre-order, we were all surprised to see that the company priced it much lesser than Xiaomi’s flagship.
MX4 was available for $293 for the 16 GB, $325 for the 32 GB, and $390 for the 64 GB, which is around $10-$20 less than you’ll have to pay for the Mi4. The only major difference between the two handsets was the extra gig of RAM and the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor on the Xiaomi Mi4. Rest of the specs were more or less the same.
This was the pricing for the home market, i.e. China. But when it came to the international market, the MX4 costs a lot higher. Each MX4 storage variant was almost $100 more than what it was priced for the Chinese market, which surprised us all. For example, Meizu MX4 is available for $450 on GearBest for the 16GB variant. The 32 GB variant costs even more and is priced at $489.
Clearly, there’s a significant difference between the two prices. So, we made a little inquiry from our side to see why there’s such a difference between the home pricing and the international pricing.
After our investigation, we came to know that Meizu has priced the MX4 higher for international resellers, Meizu knows people out of China who want this phone are willing to pay more. which means international customers have to pay more to pre-order the device.
So, what you can get for around $350 in China, you’ll have to pay around $450 if you want it in an international market. However, there’s another twist. The company says that the MX4 international price includes shipping and import taxes in certain areas like Europe, North America, Asia and New Zealand. So, naturally this translates into a higher pricetag for international customers.
But even at this price, MX4 is a great buy. Most of the flagships available in international markets are priced well above $600, which makes this device with such specifications and features a value for money proposition.
So would you buy the new MX4 at $450 or would you choose any other device?
Xiaomi’s CEO Leijung claimed Xiaomi Mi4 is a fast charging device, but Oppo find 7 was come with this feature half an year ago, let’s have a Xiaomi Mi4 vs Oppo Find 7: Fast charging speed comparison.
Xiaomi Mi4’s charger’a Amp rating is 5V-2A、9V-1.2A、12V-1A, specially designed for Xiaomi Mi4
While Oppo find 7 can output 4.5 Amps – more than double the typical amperage, and the 4.5 Amp charger isn’t the only thing to thank, as in fact, a large portion of the impressive fast-charging skills of the Oppo Find 7 lie in its battery.
And there is a change when it comes to Oppo Find7’s microUSB connector, and that is the inclusion of seven pins, as opposed to the five pins that you’d get with a typical microUSB connector. The two extra pins do contribute to let the batterry to absorb more power at the same time.
Let’s plug both of the device into the USB charger, they all have zero power at this moment.
After 10 minutes, Oppo Find 7 had been charged to 24%, while Xiaomi Mi4 is 11%.
10 more minutes later, Oppo Find 7 had been charged to 55%, while Xiaomi Mi4 is 21%.
10 more minutes later, Oppo Find 7 had been charged to 69%, while Xiaomi Mi4 is 28%.
50 minutes later, Oppo find7 had been charged to 99%. Find 7 achieved a full charge in 1 hour and 20 minutes. But at this moment, Xiaomi Mi4 had only been charged to 73 %.
23 minutes later, Xiaomi Mi4 achieved a full charge, Xiaomi Mi4 spent 1 hour and 43 minutes.
Why Oppo Find7 can charge so fast? That’s because Oppo Find 7′s VOOC fast charging system has it’s own 16 patents. No wonder Oppo Find 7 is still oerpriced, you need to pay for intellectual property.
In the end, do you know Xiaomi Mi4 and Oppo Find 7 is not the only 2 device that have fast charging feature? Nexus5, iPhone5, iPhone5c, iPhone5s also have this feature, do you know any other device that has this feature? Let us know in the comment bellow.
The version of Huawei Mate7 I got is Chinamobile’s TD LTE
Huawei Mate7’s USB charger and USD cable is the same as Huawei honor x1 and Huawei Honor 6
The above photo is taken by iPhone5s the blow one is taken by Huawei Mate7. From these 2 pictures above, both of then looked alike, alomost the same. Let’s see what will happen if I enlarge these photos.
Huawei Mate7’s photo became obscure. But does Huawei’s sony IMX214 13 megapixel camera really shows worse performance than iPhone 5s’ 8 megapixel isight camera? Huawei is kidding consumers all over the world like wat they did with Huawei Honor x1 again? Ijust found I there is something wrong when focusing made the photo bacame fuzzy.
I took another photo with Huawei Mate7, it is as good as iPhone5s’ now.
While we have already seen a number of render images of the upcoming Elephone P4000 smartphone, we have got another batch of images which reveal the back cover and the front panel of the device.
Like we saw in the render images earlier today, the back cover has openings for the camera module and single LED flash. Below it, lies the Elephone logo. It looks like the back cover is made of some kind of glossy material, but we hope its not a fingerprint magnet.
We also got the front panel which has several markings for the capacitive buttons at the bottom and the ear piece, ambient light sensor as well as the front camera on top. So, like the renders suggested, the device would look a lot like the Xiaomi Mi4.
So, what do you think about the leak? The back cover looks quite premium and we hope the overall built quality will be as good its inspiration, i.e. Xiaomi Mi4.
Stay tuned for more exclusive coverage on the latest smartphones.
We recently wrote an article about the upcoming Elephone P4000 smartphone. However, at that time, we had only a handful of renders available of the device. But even from those one or two pictures, we were instantly able to conclude that it was a clone of the Xiaomi flagship, Mi4.
Today, we have got lots of pictures of the upcoming P4000, that too in three different colors namely white, black and golden.
As you can see, the images reveal the overall design of the handset. The volume rockers and the power key are on the right around the middle, the speaker grill as well as the micro USB port are at the bottom while the 3.5mm headphone in port is at the top.
Like we said earlier, Elephone has made P4000 exactly like the Mi4. The button, speaker and even the MicroUSB port placements are exactly like the Xiaomi flagship.
Elephone P4000
On the back, there’s the camera along with the single LED flash and below it, you have the Elephone logo. The logo on the P4000 is directly below the camera module unlike the Mi4 where the Mi logo is placed at the lower section of the case.
Xiaomi Mi4
As you can see there’s hardly any difference between the two in terms of looks.
As for the specs, all we know as of now is that the phone will come with a 5.0 inch 720p display and a Mediatek processor.
Coming to the software, we were a bit surprised to see the Flyme wallpaper on the device. Could it be that Elephone has taken some inspiration from Meizu’s Flyme OS for its software? We can’t really confirm that until we see a working device, but till then digest all the new images that we have for you.
We’ll have more updates for you in the coming days, but for now, check out the full gallery given below.

In response, the Huawei Mate 7’s managers said in their Weibo account that they hope that they can produce a device that can give users a better user experience instead of another cheap product. They also want to know if the fact that Meizu uses MTK processors is the reason why they were able to solve the fingerprint sensors’ security problems.
Will the MX4 Pro continue to use an MTK processor? If they go on like before, they might use the Samsung 5430 octa-core chipset.
