Nothing just recently offered us a first look at the Nothing Phone (2a), which is its upcoming mid range smartphone. The company decided to stick to its philosophy and retain the iconic design. Now, lifestyle promo pictures of the device have also been revealed, giving us an even better view of the Phone (2a). So let’s have a look.

Previously, an official tweet from the company and e-commerce listings revealed some parts of the rear panel, which included the camera modules. But known tipster Roland Quandt shared what appears to be the official lifestyle shots of the Nothing Phone (2a), which could be a part of promo materials. Looking at the images, we can see the new device in two color options, namely Black and White.

In other words, the offering is the same as the flagship Phone (2). Similar to the previous two smartphones, the Phone (2a) retains the Glyph LED lighting as well, but this time it is more modest than its predecessors. Internal components like screws and rubber cables are still in clear view and the back features a transparent glass panel. The dual cameras are situated more in the middle this time around and are horizontally aligned.

The volume rockers can be seen on the left side, while the power button is likely on the right. Based on what we know so far, the Nothing Phone (2a) is set to be announced on March 5. It is expected to sport a tall 6.7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. Under the hood, it could be equipped with Dimensity 7200 Pro SoC. The rear cameras will consist of a 50-megapixel primary and an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle sensor.

In the world of phone leaks, it’s crucial to get things right. We recently talked about the Polestar Phone and thought it was a Meizu 20 Infinity in disguise. It looks like GSMChina made a mistake and published an apology blog. The Polestar Phone is actually a Meizu 21 Pro and in this article, we want to clarify some things.

We actually first met the Polestar Phone back in November. At the time Meizu had registered it as the Meizu 21 Pro, but we didn’t know all the technical details yet. The surprise came when we learned about the Polestar Phone just two days before Meizu officially launched the 21 Pro. The model we thought was the Polestar Phone two weeks ago turned out to be the satellite communication version of the Meizu 20 Infinity.

The Polestar Phone has the model number “M481S“. GSMChina has learned that this number is actually associated with the Meizu 21 Pro, not the Meizu 20 Infinity. Thanks to a recent update from the Geely team, we now have a clear knowledge of the correct model relationship. Let’s make things right by understanding the correct model numbers.

Itel P55T is the world’s first Android 14 Go Edition smartphone, now available in India

At the end of last month, it was revealed that Itel will soon launch three P series smartphones in India. Following that, the company only announced two phones, namely Itel P55 and Itel P55 Plus.

Today, thanks to Yash (@i_hsay), we have learned that the brand also unveiled the third device on the same day. But for some reason, this handset called Itel P55T is still not being promoted by the company online.

Itel P55T Specifications

The Itel P55T resembles an iPhone Pro. It is the world’s first smartphone with Android 14 Go Edition.

The device sports a 6.6-inch centered punch-hole display. The LCD panel offers a resolution of 1612 x 720 pixels (HD+), 267 PPI, and a 90Hz refresh rate.

The handset is powered by a Unisoc T606 chip. The SoC is paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.

Though the phone seems to have three cameras on the rear, it only has two and only one of them is usable. It actually houses a 50MP primary sensor paired with an AI sensor and a ring LED light. On the front, there’s an 8MP snapper.

The smartphone comes with dual SIM, 4G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS, and USB Type-C. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack, a MicroSD card slot, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Last but not least, it is backed by a 6,000mAh battery and supports 18W wired charging.

Itel P55T Price in India

The Itel P55T is priced at ₹8,199 (~$100) in India for the sole 4GB + 128GB memory variant. It arrives in Brilliant Gold, Aurora Blue, and Moonlight Black color options.

On its official website, Itel says that the product is exclusive to Amazon. However, the phone is up for sale on Flipkart in gold and black colors.

Both models are said to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets, respectively.

On the other hand, the Vivo Pad 3 lineup may include two models, such as the Vivo Pad 3 and Pad 3 Pro. The standard model is expected to feature the upcoming Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, whereas the Pro variant is likely to arrive as the first tablet powered by the Dimensity 9300 chipset. It is said that the rumored iQOO Pad 2 tablet for the Chinese market would be a rebranded version of the Vivo Pad 3 or Pad 3 Pro.

In the comments section of the Weibo post, DCS also mentioned that the rumored Vivo X100s will not launch in March. This indicates that the X100s could be debuting in the second quarter of the year.

A recent leak claimed that the Vivo X100 Ultra would debut by late April. Hence, it is likely that the Vivo X100s may launch alongside the X100 Ultra. For those who don’t know, the X100s may debut as the world’s first smartphone powered by the Dimensity 9300+ chipset. At present, there is no clarity on whether any of these devices will be launched outside of China.

Recently, a Realme phone with model number RMX3993 was certified by the TENAA authority in China. While the initial listing revealed the specifications of the device, its images were notably absent. However, the listing has since been updated with images that strongly suggest it could be a member of the Realme 12 series.

The Realme RMX3933’s images at TENAA reveal that it has a flat display with a punch-hole design on the front. On the back, it has a round camera module with a single camera and an LED flash inside. While it appears to be a Realme 12 series phone, its final marketing name is yet to be revealed.

The Realme RMX3993 has 165.6 x 76.1 x 7.89mm dimensions and it weighs 209 grams. The device has a 6.67-inch LCD panel that offers an HD+ resolution and it packs a 5,000mAh battery. However, there is no information about the charging capabilities of the device.

The RMX3993 is powered by an unknown chip that clocks at 2.2GHz. In China, the device may arrive with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage. It is likely to come preloaded with Realme UI5-based Android 14.

The RMX3993 has an 8-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls. The back panel of the device features a 50-megapixel camera. It is equipped with other features, such as a side-facing fingerprint scanner and a microSD card slot.

Now that the RMX3993 has been approved by TENAA, it appears that it may not take too long for it to go official. Likely, the device may go official in March.

The official website of the Realme 12 Pro mentions that it comes in two options, such as 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB. On the other hand, the Realme 12 Pro+ comes in three variants, such as 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB. Realme China’s online store also mentions a new device the Realme 12 Pro Supreme Edition. Here’s what is known about the device.

Realme 12 Pro Supreme Edition price, release date

The Realme 12 Pro Supreme Edition is listed with a price tag of 2,199 Yuan (~$305). It is listed in beige and blue color options. The specifications mentioned on its dedicated page on Realme China’s website state that it packs the same specs as the Realme 12 Pro.

All variants of the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ are scheduled to go on sale on March 1 in China, but the 12 Pro Supreme Edition will be available for purchase on March 11. Interestingly, the Realme 12 Pro Supreme Edition, which has a 12GB+512GB configuration, costs 100 Yuan more than the 12GB+512GB edition of the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G. Since the Pro+ is a more powerful phone than the Pro model, it appears that there is something suspicious about the Realme 12 Pro Supreme Edition’s official listing.

There is a possibility that the Realme 12 Pro Supreme Edition listing could be a placeholder, with correct specifications appearing at a later date. It also hints at the possibility that this might be the unannounced Realme 12 Pro Max for the Indian market that briefly appeared on Flipkart in January.

According to the tipster, the iQOO Z9 model is coming to the Chinese market with different specs compared to the Indian variant. To recall, iQOO will unveil the Z9 5G in India with the Dimensity 7200 SoC. However, the Chinese model will reportedly be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3.

The tipster added that the device would sport a tall 6.8-inch flat OLED display that offers Full HD+ resolution (2800 x 1260 pixels). On the other hand, DCS claims that the iQOO Z9x features an LCD panel that will offer FHD resolution. Under the hood, this model will apparently house a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor. It appears that both devices will house a sizeable 6,000mAh battery pack that will likely offer fast charging.

This is also larger than the 5,000mAh battery pack that is expected on the Z9 5G model arriving in India. The tipster believes that the iQOO Z9 could launch in China ahead of the Indian release. In other words, the Z9 series in China may be unveiled ahead of March 12.

The Tecno Camon 30 series of smartphones is now official. The lineup includes the Camon 30 and Camon 30 5G, which are powered by the Helio G99 and Dimensity 7020 chipsets, respectively. The series also includes the Camon 30 Pro 5G and Camon 30 Premier 5G, which are equipped with the more powerful Dimensity 8200 Ultra chipset. The entire lineup has been showcased at MWC 2024.

The Camon 30 Premier 5G and the Camon 30 Pro 5G feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel that supports a 144Hz refresh rate. The Premier model’s screen offers a 1.5K resolution of 1264 x 2780 pixels, whereas the Pro edition offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2436 pixels.

Both smartphones feature the Dimensity 8200 Ultra chipset. While the Camon 30 Pro 5G comes with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of built-in storage, the Premier edition offers 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of native storage. The latter also offers up to 12 GB of virtual RAM.

The Camon 30 Premier and Camon 30 Pro 5G pack a 5,000mAh battery with 70W fast charging support. Both phones run on Android 14, which has a layer of HiOS 14 on top. In addition, they offer an IR blaster, an in-screen fingerprint scanner, and dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

The Camon 30 Premier and Pro models have a 50-megapixel camera with autofocus and a dual LED flash on the front. The two smartphones mainly differ in the rear camera department. Both phones have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary camera with OIS support and a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens. The Pro variant has a 2-megapixel depth sensor as the third camera on the back, whereas the Premier edition offers a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with a 70mm focal length and up to 60x hybrid zoom support. Meanwhile, the Realme GT Neo 5 SE, equipped with Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processors, aimed for a more budget-friendly segment, starting at 1,999 yuan (~$277).

Insights from @Ice Universe hint at Qualcomm’s imminent release of the SM7675 and SM8635 chips, anticipated to hit the market in March. Both chips are expected to be variants of the same architecture, sharing the development code name “Cliffs” within Qualcomm.

At the MWC 2024, Tecno took off covers from the Camon 30 series of smartphones. The lineup includes four handsets, namely the Camon 30, Camon 30 5G, Camon 30 Pro 5G, and Camon 30 Premier 5G. This post mainly focuses on the 4G and 5G versions of the Camon 30. Here is a look at what these phones offer.

Tecno Camon 30 5G, Camon 30 specifications and features

The Camon 30 5G has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2436 pixels) and a 120Hz refresh rate. Both devices are backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 70W fast charging.

The Camon 30 features the Dimensity 7020, which is nothing but a rebranded version of the Dimensity 930. It has 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of built-in storage. The device comes preloaded with HiOS 14-based Android 14.

On the front, it has a 50-megapixel selfie camera with autofocus support. It is coupled with a dual LED flash, which comes with the ability to adjust color temperature. The back panel of the device features an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel primary camera. A 2-megapixel depth sensor and an AI lens are joining it. It comes with other features, such as an in-screen fingerprint sensor, dual speakers for stereo output, an IR blaster, and glass and leather back variants.

The Camon 30 (4G) has the same specifications as the 5G version. However, being a 4G variant, it features the Helio G99 chipset. It also comes with NFC support, which is unavailable on any of the Camon 30 series smartphones. At present, there is no information about the price or availability of the Camon 30 and Camon 30 5G. The official images of these devices are not available yet.

Samsung has updated its Try Galaxy web app to allow users to experience Galaxy AI features, even if they don’t own a Galaxy phone. This includes features like Live Translate, which translates conversations in real-time, Chat Assist, which helps users refine the tone of their messages, and Note Assist, which automatically generates summaries of notes.

The Try Galaxy experience simulates the look and feel of the Galaxy S24 home screen and includes tutorials and interactive content to help users learn how to use the new features. There are also widget breakdowns of core AI features like Live Translate, Note Assist, Chat Assist, Photo Assist, and Circle to Search with Google.

Live Translate allows users to communicate in different languages through real-time translation of phone calls and text. Note Assist helps users organize their notes by automatically generating summaries and formatting the text. Chat Assist helps users refine the tone of their messages, making them sound more professional or casual depending on the situation. Photo Assist provides tools for editing photos, such as removing objects, resizing images, and erasing reflections. Circle to Search with Google allows users to search for anything on their screen by drawing a circle around it.

In addition to AI features, the app also showcases the Galaxy S24 series’ advanced camera tools, including Nightography Zoom for clear photos at night, Super Steady for recording videos of moving subjects, and Portrait mode for impressive portraits and selfies.
