Xiaomi 13T passes FCC certification, key specs revealed

Xiaomi is reportedly preparing to launch the Xiaomi 13T series, which will consist of two models: the Xiaomi 13T and the Xiaomi 13T Pro. Recent certifications and leaks have provided some key specifications for the Xiaomi 13T.

Xiaomi 13T FCC certification

The Xiaomi 13T, with the model number 2306EPN60G, has received certification from various platforms, including the EEC certification platform, IMEI database, Singapore’s IMDA, TKDN certification platforms, and now the FCC.

According to the FCC documents shared by tipster Mukul Sharma, the Xiaomi 13T will come with MIUI 14 preinstalled and will offer connectivity features like NFC, 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth, and GNSS.

The FCC documents also reveal that there are three samples of the Xiaomi 13T undergoing testing. Two samples feature 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, with one having a glass back cover and the other sporting a PU back cover. The third sample, equipped with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, also has a PU back cover.

Additional reports suggest that the Xiaomi 13T will sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It might be powered by the Dimensity 9200 Plus or Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 chipset. While camera details are not known yet, it is speculated that the Xiaomi 13T series will be launched globally on September 1, with the base model priced at £599. The device is expected to have a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.

As for the Xiaomi 13T Pro, which is said to be a tweaked version of Redmi K60 Ultra, recent Geekbench listings suggest it will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ processor. The 13T Pro might come in the color option Meadow Green and is expected to be priced at £799.

This move arrives following an agreement with the Indian and French governments. UPI payments in the European country will now be accepted in the Eiffel Tower.

Tesla has apparently dominated the electric vehicle market in the US. The company has captured over two-thirds of the region’s market share in the first half of this year. So here are all the details.

Tesla leads the EV market in the US

The data is from the Kelley Blue Book (Via @TheEVuniverse) and revealed that the American EV giant sold 175,262 vehicles in the second quarter of this year. In other words, it had a 59.3 percent in Q2 2023. Meanwhile, its sales so far have hit 336,892 units, which basically accounts for 68.8 percent of the US EV market. Elon Musk even replied to this tweet, saying that the market share is 69 percent.

Notably, this marks a sizeable 34.8 percent growth year-on-year in the second quarter and 29.7 percent year-on-year growth in H1 2023. Looking at the figures, the closest automobile maker after Tesla is GM, which only had a 6.5 percent market share. So it is clear that Tesla is still leading the market in the US with a massive gap between its closest rival.

The company is also a major player in the global scale and has plans to expand even further. In India, it is looking to set up a factory to sell its electric cars. However, its presence isn’t completely unchallenged. BYD has been eroding its market lead and beating Tesla in the Indonesian market, earlier this year.

As per Digital Chat Station, a reputed Weibo tipster, the device will likely feature a 2K curved OLED display with a centrally positioned punch-hole selfie camera, thin bezels, and a symmetrical design.

OnLeaks recently released OnePlus 12 renders that suggest the design will largely mirror its predecessor, with minor modifications. The customs data also revealed a considerable decline in the total value of chip imports, which fell by 22.4 percent to reach USD 162.6 billion during the first half of the year. The S2 Del Mar is more of a commuter motorcycle than a long-distance vehicle

Earlier this year, LiveWire provided initial specifications for the S2 Del Mar, but the official details have managed to surpass some of the already heightened expectations. Initially, the company projected a city range of 110 miles; however, the bike now boasts an impressive 113-mile urban riding range on a single charge. Similarly, the acceleration time of 3.0 seconds from zero to 60 mph is slightly faster than the initially advertised 3.1 seconds. Furthermore, the torque rating, previously stated as 184 pound-foot, has been upgraded to an impressive 194 ft-lb.

Nonetheless, the S2 Del Mar does come with a slightly increased weight of 436 lbs in running order, compared to the previously announced 431 lbs in April. The Level 2 charging time, required to charge the battery from 20 percent to 80 percent, has been adjusted to 78 minutes, a mere three minutes longer than the initial estimate of 75 minutes. It is important to note that the electric bike does not support fast charging and is limited to Level 1 and Level 2 capabilities. As a result, the S2 Del Mar is primarily designed as a commuter motorcycle, rather than a long-distance touring vehicle. Its highway driving range is rated at 43 miles sustained at 70 mph, with a combined range of 62 miles at a speed of 70 mph (combining highway and city driving). If the speed is reduced to 55 mph, the highway range extends to 70 miles, while the combined range reaches an impressive 86 miles.

Among its notable features, the S2 Del Mar supports over-the-air (OTA) updates, allowing riders to receive the latest enhancements and improvements as they are developed. LiveWire’s website proudly states, “Now your motorcycle can receive updates and improvements as we develop them — keeping things easy, and keeping you riding.” Equipped with a four-inch round screen, the bike seamlessly connects to smartphones via USB-C and offers app-based navigation for added convenience.

Interestingly, the Tesla colouring book available at their service centres contains a caption stating, “Cybertruck has enough battery power to charge a Tesla.” While this might seem trivial to kids, it raises big speculations among Tesla fans.

The production version of the Cybertruck may offer a 120V or 240V

The caption further implies the possibility of vehicle-to-vehicle charging, indicating that the Cybertruck may support charging other Teslas, but perhaps not the complete suite of vehicle-to-load (V2L), vehicle-to-home (V2H), and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) capabilities. During a recent Cars and Coffee event at the Petersen Automotive Museum in LA, Tesla’s Chief Designer Franz von Holzhausen arrived in a Cybertruck, granting enthusiasts a close look at it. The bed showcased a small opening, potentially designed for a socket, as seen in a Twitter video. This suggests that the production version of the Cybertruck may offer a 120V or 240V socket, enabling users to charge external appliances or even another electric vehicle.

It is worth noting that rival electric trucks like the Ford F-150 Lightning already offer bi-directional charging capabilities. The Ford truck features Pro Power Onboard, which includes standard 120V outlets and an optional 240V socket, offering a charging rate of up to 9.6 kilowatts. Last year, a user even demonstrated the Lightning’s capabilities by fully charging a stranded Mini Cooper SE while still retaining over 200 miles of remaining range.

With regards to the Cybertruck’s battery size, Tesla’s Master Plan Part 3 suggests a capacity of 100 kilowatt-hours. However, some question whether this would be sufficient for a heavy-duty truck. Competitors such as the Rivian R1T and Ford F-150 Lightning offer battery packs of 130 kWh or more, raising the possibility of an even larger battery capacity for the Cybertruck. In 2021, CEO Elon Musk responded positively to a Twitter user’s query about whether the Cybertruck’s battery could power their home, further fueling speculation about the truck’s bi-directional charging capabilities.

The Stuffcool 10000mAh powerbank comes with a compact design. It measures 8cm wide by 6cm long which is as small as it can get. Skyworth has unveiled the wallpaper TV A7D Pro series in China. The new lineup of wallpaper TVs features Mini LED backlight Harman tuning and are available in 65”, 75”, and 88” sizes.

The Skyworth wallpaper TV A7D Pro lineup can be seamlessly attached to a wall, unlike a traditional TV set. It comes with an ultra-thin body of 39.9mm which accentuates its placement on the wall. The Mini LED technology adopted by the A7D Pro lineup indicates that the panel is divided into up to 960 partitions for the top model. The size of the lamp bead is 1.120 of the previous models and it features adaptive dimming.

Furthermore, the TV supports 16 bit ambient light control, up to 1,200 nits of brightness, 110% DCI-P3 wide color gamut, and Delta E less than 1. The Skyworth wallpaper TV A7D Pro series has passed the Rheinland eye protection requirement.

The Skyworth Wallpaper TV A7D Pro features the Harman x Skyworth Acoustic System 2.1.2. It has 11 sound units and an independent speaker. The power output of the speaker is up to 81W with built-in bass and sky sound field. Lenovo is ready to unveil a handful of new laptops in China this month. The company already announced it will introduce the Legion Y9000X 2023 notebook at the Bilibili World 2023 event on July 22. Now, the company revealed it will also launch the Legion R9000X 2023 laptop but a week later on July 29. This gaming laptop could bring solid specifications and a thin and light build. Here’s what we know so far.

Legion R9000X 2023

According to the poster shared by the company, the Lenovo Legion R9000X 2023 notebook will be equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 7840H processor. We can see in the poster that the laptop gets a dark finish with various ports as well as vents. The construction looks solid with aluminum chassis.

The new generation of R9000X laptops will be equipped with AMD 7040 series processors and an optional RTX 4070 GPU. The performance of the whole machine can be released up to 140W. The laptops can be equipped with up to 32GB of 5600MHz DDR5 memory and a 2K 240Hz VRR 500nit panel or a 3.2K 165Hz VRR 430nit panel.

The notebooks are also equipped with up to 99.99Wh batteries, a 230W ultra-thin adapter, and both USB-C ports support 140W charging. The thinnest part of the laptops is only 17.99 mm and they weigh less than 2 kg.

As mentioned, Lenovo will also launch the Legion Y9000X 2023 laptop this month equipped with 13th-generation Core series processors. It is confirmed to bring a solid design with an ACD surface that uses electrophoretic white AED technology. The laptop will have an 11-knife CNC carved frame, giving a premium look. The keyboard of the machine will use single-key RGB design.

Audio products manufacturer Edifier has launched a new sleek gaming earbuds. The product dubbed Edifier HECATE GX05 gaming headset is a new wireless gaming headset priced at 799 yuan (~$112). The earphone box features a unique triangular design and is made of zinc alloy, giving it a sturdy and durable build. The mechanical structure of the headset is complemented by three sides embedded with light bars, offering 11 different light effect options for customization.

In terms of sound quality, the Edifier GX05 utilizes a 10mm ultra-broadband titanium-coated film-coated unit. The titanium coating allows the unit to achieve high-frequency extension up to 40kHz, resulting in excellent resolution and detailed audio reproduction, particularly beneficial for immersive gaming experiences.

The headset is equipped with an LHDC 5.0 encoder, enabling 96kHz/24bit decoding capability. Sony has finally launched a new single APS-C camera after four years. The company today announced the latest A6700 APS-C mirrorless camera with a 26MP sensor and AI-powered autofocus, which is the same as the more expensive A7R V camera. The new shooter comes with 4K 120p video, active mode stabilization, and AI auto-framing, making it ideal for vlogging.

On the outside, the A6700 looks almost similar to the four-year-old Alpha 6600 but it packs many notable upgrades underneath. The camera is not very big, weighing only 493 g with Battery and Recording Media. It has physical dimensions of 4.8 x 2.7 x 2.5″ / 122 x 69 x 63.6 mm.

The A6700 features a 3:2 APS-C 26MP back-illuminated CMOS Exmor R 4K sensor. However, it can only capture still images at a resolution of 26MP. When recording video in a 16:9 aspect ratio, the maximum resolution available is 19.9MP. The Sony camera is capable of recording UHD video (3840×2160) at up to 60p by oversampling a 6K image (5976×3356), ensuring there is no pixel binning or line skipping.

The Sony A6700 boasts an impressive range of Real-Time Recognition autofocus features, similar to those found in the premium A7R V model. This enables the camera to accurately identify and track various subjects, including people, cars, trains, insects, birds, pets, and airplanes. The A6700 is equipped with weather sealing and comes with five-axis in-body image stabilization and an EVF that provides complete coverage.

Further, the camera has a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port that enables high-speed transfers and USB power delivery. It also features a micro HDMI port, as well as dedicated headphone and microphone ports. Talking about the battery life, the A6700 can shoot 570 shots.

Sony A6700 comes with a price tag of $1,399. The exact availability date for the camera is not known yet but Sony says it would arrive later in 2023.
