HTC Desire 12 Plus Full Specifications Revealed; Pegged to Launch Soon

In the previous month, leaked information had revealed that the HTC Desire 12 that is codenamed as Breeze is the upcoming entry-level phone from the company. Today, Android Headlines has carried an exclusive report that reveals entire specs of an HTC phone called Desire 12 Plus. According to the publication, its source has revealed that the handset is internally called Breeze Plus. The entire specifications of the phone have also been leaked.

The HTC Desire 12 Plus will be sporting a full screen design like Desire 12. It will be coming with a 5.99-inch TFT display that will produce HD resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. The screen will deliver an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a pixel density of 268ppi.

The Snapdragon 450 that includes a 1.8 GHz octa-core processor will be powering the mid-range phone. The SoC is backed by 3 GB of RAM. It will have a native storage of 32 GB, but it will provide users with an available space of 23.5 GB. For additional storage, it will feature a microSD card slot.

It will be having a rear camera of 13-megapixel and a front-facing snapper of 8-megapixel. The back camera is expected to feature a Back-Illuminate Sensor (BIS) for snapping better images in dim-light conditions. The selfie camera is expected to arrive with Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS).

The device will be fueled by 2,965mAh battery that will take around 2 hours and 10 minutes to charge completely. The handset is pegged to support for 5V/1.5A charging. The SoC of the phone supports Quick Charge 3.0 technology, but there is no confirmation whether the rapid charging. The battery of the phone will be delivering up to 26 hours of talk time, 74 hoursof continuous music playback and 522 hours of standby time.

The handset measures of 158.24 x 76.54 x 8.39mm and it weighs 155.01 grams. It will be supporting GSM bands like 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 and LTE bands like 1, 3, 5,7, 8, 20 and 40.

The Desire 12 and Desire 12 Plus are expected to sport the same design. However, the Desire 12 would be coming with a smaller HD+ display of 5.5 inches. Also, it will be featuring lower configuration chipset, cameras and battery. It is likely that HTC may announce the Desire 12 duo in spring this year.

LG G7 (Judy) Was Showcased Secretly at MWC 2018 Along with LG Q7, V35 and New Smartwatch

LG chose not to announce its upcoming flagship phone at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018. Instead, it had announced the V30S ThinQ and V30 ThinQ+ as AI driven edition of the LG V30S smartphone from last year. Earlier this week, an Israeli tech publication had shared leaked photos of LG G7 Neo smartphone from MWC 2018. It was revealed that the handset is packed with flagship specs. At that time, popular leakster Evan Blass had claimed that it could be a prototype of the scrapped version of the LG G7. He said that LG may have scrapped it in favor of the upcoming LG Judy phone. Fresh information shared by Blass claims that it is indeed the next flagship phone from the company. He has also revealed that it had showcased the LG G7 Neo behind closed doors to select group of invitees.

In the previous month, Blass had revealed plenty of information on the specs of an upcoming LG flagship phone that is codenamed as Judy. The tipster has now claimed that the Neo is the original codename of the LG’s next generation flagship and it is the very same Judy phone.

The LG G7 Neo was spotted at MWC 2018 with iPhone X-like design with a notch on its top bezel. Since it bears resemblance with the iPhone X, LG employees are reportedly unhappy about the copied design.

It features a 6-inch screen that supports 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a screen resolution of 1440 x 3120. These specs match with the display configuration of the LG Judy phone. According to Blass, the LG G7 Neo shown at MWC 2018 has OLED panel, but when the phone will be officially unveiled later this year, it will be coming with MLCD technology display.

The other specs of the forthcoming LG flagship are Snapdragon 845 chipset, 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 16-megapixel dual rear cameras with f/1.6 aperture, 3000mAh battery, boombox speakers. LG has confirmed that it will be launching its next flagship phone in the first half of the year. The tipster had revealed in the last month that it will be announced by June this year.

Apart from the LG G7 Neo, the South Korean company had also revealed the upcoming LG Q7 and V35 smartphones and a new smartwatch privately to its select clients.

Alleged Huawei Enjoy 8 And Two Other Phones Revealed By TENAA

Images and specs of three Huawei phones have just been spotted on TENAA listings. One of them is rumored to be the Huawei Enjoy 8, which is expected to be renamed in Honor 7C for selected markets. TENAA identifies the three smartphones with the model numbers ATU-TL10, AUM-TL20 and AUM-TL00. The second one is the alleged Enjoy 8, but each of them is a midrange device and has similar specs to each other. So we may be talking about variants of the alleged Huawei Enjoy 8 or similarly-priced phones.

Indeed, all the phones sport a full metal unibody design and a 5.7-inch display with narrow bezels and an 18:9 aspect ratio, which shows the images at an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. The AUM-TL00 is the most entry-level phone among them, and it has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. Both AUM-TL20 and ATU-TL10 have 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB ROM. Under the hood, all the phones have an octa-core SoC with a clock frequency of 1.4 GHz, but we do not know the name of the chipset. The memory is expandable with a micro SD on each of these phones. The ATU-TL10 and the AUM-TL20 have a dual camera setup on the rear side, both with resolutions of 13 and 2 Megapixels. The selfie camera has a 5 MP resolution on the first and 8 MP on the latter.

Huawei AUM-TL00 has just a single sensor on the back side, with a 13 MP resolution. This means that probably only the first two will be able to capture depth information and make a better bokeh effect. The selfie camera of the AUM-TL00 is still an 8 MP resolution. All the three phones have a battery with a capacity of 2900 mAh, while only the AUM-TL20 has a fingerprint reader on the back side. The absence of the fingerprint reader may mean that these phones have an entry-level SoC, maybe an entry level octa-core SD chip with a max frequency of 1.4 GHz.

In the last week, Xiaomi had confirmed through Weibo that its Mi MIX 2S flagship phone will be launching on March 27. The Weibo post also confirmed that the Snapdragon 845 chipset will be powering the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S. Today, the company has released a new teaser video on Weibo that confirms again that the Mi MIX 2S has Snapdragon 845 SoC onboard. The Weibo post carries a challenging question “How fast is your Snapdragon 845? This indicates that Snapdragon 845 powered Mi MIX 2S will offer better performance than rivals.

Xiaomi has developed a good relationship in Qualcomm in the recent years. The Chinese manufacturer has used the Snapdragon 625 mid-range chipset to power many of its smartphones such as Redmi Note 5, Mi Max 2, Mi A1, Redmi Note 4 and Redmi Note 4X. In December, Xiaomi was present at Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Tech Summit 2017. Before the launch of Snapdragon powered Samsung Galaxy S9+ and ASUS ZenFone 5Z (Z01RD), they were spotted on AnTuTu with respective scores of 264,257 and 238,129. The alleged Nubia N19 that is rumored to be powered by SD845 has scored 271,674 on AnTuTu. The rumored BlackShark gaming smartphone from Xiaomi has scored 270,680. The AnTuTu scores of the Galaxy S9+, ZenFone 5Z and BlackShark have not been officially declared by their respective manufacturers, but they are still lower than the AnTuTu score of Mi MIX 2S.

Recent leaks have revealed that the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S will be featuring 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage and 16-megapixel Sony IMX363 sensor. It is also rumored to feature a 6.01-inch OLED display by Samsung that may feature under-display fingerprint scanner.

Ever since Apple released the iPhone X, people have been split about its notch design. Some consider this design to be a revolution, enabling a near bezel-less front but there are others who consider the same notch as ugly. Irrespective of what you feel about this notch, it looks like the iPX’s notch design is here to stay. Major manufacturers have started to adopt this design on their smartphones and you might have to get used to seeing it on a number of flagships this year. After today’s little teaser, add OPPO to the list as well.

OPPO has never been shy of copying Apple’s design in the past, and even this time around, the company has decided to adopt the iPX design for its upcoming OPPO R15 and OPPO R15 Dream Mirror Edition flagships. The company confirmed the names of the new models earlier today with a small teaser image, which also shows us that these two models are going to adopt the notch design. The front of the phone is clearly visible in this image, especially the notch and the phone has a small chin at the bottom. So, the screen to body ratio should be less than that of its inspiration.

Apart from the notch design, the OPPO R15 is expected to feature an advanced facial recognition tech. It could be similar to what Apple does, unlike other software based recognition technologies, but we can’t be sure at the moment. Other rumored features include gesture enabled virtual home button, vertically stacked dual cameras, and Color OS 4.0 with Android 8.1 Oreo. There’s also speculation that the new R15 models will feature the upcoming Snapdragon 670 chipset, but as of now, there’s no confirmation about the same.

In the past couple of years, OPPO’s R series has been an important lineup for the company, driving maximum sales in the premium mid-range segment. If the company wants to continue the same sales this year, it will have to make sure that the new OPPO R15 manages to attract customers with its innovative features.

The company is yet to reveal an official date for the OPPO R15 launch, but since its been teased, expect an announcement before the end of the month.

Huawei P20 Lite Images Shows Full-Screen Display And Dual Rear Cameras

After we saw the leaked images of the upcoming Huawei P20 phone, Evan Blass has now posted the live images of its lighter variant Huawei P20 Lite on Twitter.

The leaked images show the similar full-screen display which we saw on the P20. However, instead of the triple camera setup, this stripped-down variant features a dual camera setup with Leica lenses.

The Huawei P20 Lite leaked images reveal that the phone will come with an iPhone X-style notch. The source reveals that the phone will pack a 5.6-inch display with 2250 x 1080 pixels resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio.

The device is expected to be powered by the company’s own Kirin 659 octa-core processor, which comprises of a quad-core SoC clocked at 2.48GHz coupled with a 1.7GHz quad-core SoC. There’s a fingerprint sensor which is placed on the back panel.

It will pack 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, with support for storage expansion using microSD card. Coming to the camera, the phone will be featuring a dual-camera setup on the back, consisting of two 16-megapixel sensors from Leica, along with hybrid zoom.

The phone is expected to be running Android Oreo operating system out-of-the-box with the company’s own EMUI 8 on top. The device is powered by a 3,520mAh battery.

Huawei has already confirmed that the company will be launching the Huawei P20-series phones at a press event on 27th March in Paris, France. From what we know so far, there will be three devices in the P20 lineup — Huawei P20, Huawei P20 Pro, and P20 Lite.

The company is so confident for its upcoming flagship devices that Huawei CEO Richard Yu not only claimed that the upcoming P20 will be better than Apple‘s iPhone X but also stated that the company would leapfrog Apple in a year or two. Lei Jun Confirms Camera Surprise on the Redmi Note 5 China Version

Xiaomi is expected to unveil the Redmi Note 5 China version on March 16 and as you would have known, the Redmi Note 5 which would be launched is the same as the Note 5 Pro which made its entry into India on February 14.

Recently, a Xiaomi exec hinted that the Redmi Note 5 would come with a surprise on its camera. The official did not say what the surprise would be, after all, it is a surprise which will be kept secret until the big day. Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun has now confirmed the presence of a surprise configuration for the Redmi Note 5 camera. Lei Jun did not reveal the configuration of the expected Redmi Note 5 China version but the recent TENAA certification seems to suggest the presence of a quad camera setup on the device.

As a reminder, China version will be entirely different from the India model. The Redmi Note 5 as seen in India features a 12MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and an individual pixel size of 1.25μm. It comes with features like fast autofocus and PDAF. At the front, there is an 8MP camera which has been optimized to capture good quality selfie shots in low-light conditions. The front camera is equipped with an LED flash and Beauty 3.0 for snapping enhanced selfie shots. We’ll have to wait until it is announced on March 16 to find out what the surprise is.

Four Huawei Phones With Full-Screen Displays Seen On TENAA

Two Huawei phones and two Honor phones have appeared on the website of China’s Communication Commission (TENAA).

The Huawei phones have model numbers ATU-AL10 and ATU-TL10 which means they are network variants of the same device. The Honor phones on the other hand have model numbers AUM-TL20 and AUM-TL00.

Huawei ATU-AL10 and ATU-TL10

The phones have 5.7” displays with a 1440 x 720 resolution (HD+). These two are actually the first two Huawei phones to sport such resolution, which also hints that they are entry-level/lower-mid range devices.

They are powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core processor and come with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. A MicroSD card slot will allow owners add up to an additional 256GB of storage.

Trust Huawei to not pass the chance of slapping dual cameras on one or both sides. For these Huawei phones, you get a 13MP + 2MP combo on the rear and a 5MP in front for selfies.

Both phones pack a 2900mAh battery, run Android 8.0.0, weigh 150g, and measure 152.4 × 73 × 7.8mm. They will also be available in Black, Blue, and Gold.

Sadly, no images were added to the listing, so we do not know what they look like and if they have a fingerprint scanner.

Honor AUM-TL20 and AUM-TL00

The Honor AUM-TL20 shares the same specs as both devices above with the exception of its selfie camera which is an 8MP sensor.

The Honor AUM-TL00 also shares most of the specs with the Huawei phones but comes with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a single 13MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie camera. It also lacks a fingerprint scanner.

The Huawei P20 series will be unveiled this month but even then we still have over 3 weeks of waiting. There have been more leaks in recent days and we are sure there’ll be more before the launch.

Today, details of the camera and memory configuration of all three models have been leaked online by Roland Quandt and he cites retailers as his source.

According to him, the base model of the Huawei P20 Lite will come with 32GB of storage and a 16MP main camera. The main camera is the primary sensor in a dual camera setup.

A new camera king has been born, that is if you are among those who agree that DXOMark is a worthy benchmark for smartphone cameras. That crowned camera king is the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus which has been revealed to score an unprecedented 99 points in DXOMark test.

This effectively means the Galaxy S9 Plus camera has displaced the Google Pixel 2 which previously held the record of having the best-rated camera with a 98 score. The Galaxy S9 also trumps Apple’s iPhone X as well as the Mate 10 Pro and Galaxy Note 8 which all rank among the top 5 on DXOMark’s ranking. The total score is the average of the points garnered in the still camera and video performance tests but it is in the still camera aspect where the Samsung flagship excelled.

According to the reviewers, the features which earned the Galaxy S9 Plus this admirable score include the wide dynamic range in all lighting conditions, a high level of detail preservation, strong flash performance, and pleasing foreground and background blur for portraits. DXOMark also rates the video shooting capabilities high, stating that the camera had very good stabilization, fast and accurate autofocus, good noise reduction and detail preservation, and decent white balance. On the whole, the S9 Plus received an incredible score of 104 for photos and 91 for videos, which is what gives the average score of 99.

The Samsung Galaxy S9+ sports a 12MP primary sensor with a variable aperture of f/1.5 to f/2.4. The lens is also equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and dual pixel autofocus. The secondary rear camera is also a 12MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture, OIS and dual-pixel autofocus. The presence of variable aperture is said to make it possible to snap amazing shots in low-light conditions as well as well-lit scenarios. The front camera of the Galaxy S9+ is an 8MP camera with f/1.7 aperture and autofocus. The Galaxy S9 and S9+ can shoot 4K videos at 60 fps in the new HVEC format. Huawei Nova 2S Sakura Pink Goes On Sale March 2

When the Huawei Nova 2s was announced last December, it was to come in five different colors. However, not all the color variants have been available since it went on sale. For example, the Acacia Red variant just went on sale last month. Today, Huawei has announced that the Sakura Pink variant will go on sale tomorrow.

The Sakura Pink Huawei Nova 2s will be available in 3 configurations –

4GB RAM + 64GB ROM ¥2699 (~$425}
6GB RAM + 64GB ROM ¥2999 (~$473}
6GB RAM + 128GB ROM ¥3399 (~$536}

The Nova 2s has a 5.99” FHD+ display and is powered by the Kirin 960. Unlike most of Huawei and Honor’s other full-screen phones, it has its own fingerprint scanner on the front.

On both sides of the phone are dual rear cameras. A 16MP F/1.8 RGB sensor and a 20MP monochrome sensor grace the back of the phone while a 20MP F/2.0 sensor and a 2MP sensor are in front for selfies.

Nubia Gaming Phone Tipped To Hit The Stands This April, New Renders Leak

Gaming smartphone is gradually turning into a trend and trust the Chinese OEMs, they won’t stay too far behind. Recently, Xaomi was revealed to be planning the launch of its Black Shark gaming smartphone. ZTE’s Nubia was also revealed to have got one in the works and we recently saw a concept render of that smartphone. It has now been revealed that the Nubia gaming phone is expected to be released in April.

The details of the device are still sketchy but since it is a gaming phone, we expect the device to come with a powerful hardware configuration. The design is said to include cool lighting effects with a super run-class design. The device is also expected to come with four cooling fans to provide some level of cooling. The design will also include some cooling features such as air cooling, near black body, carbon nano-material and a three-dimensional wind tunnel section structure. We can’t say for sure if these renders are actually those of the Nubia phone. The two renders are sistincty different in design.

The Nubia gaming phone is expected to come with a Snapdragon 845 chipset backed by 8GB of RAM. This is just enough to ensure heavy games can be installed on the device. Nubia is no newcomer when it comes t0 8GB RAM phones as the Z17 and Z17s both have 8GB RAM versions. Nubia CEO Ni Fei has already confirmed the company is working on a gaming smartphone so, we hope to meet with the device next month. The exact launch date is still evasive.

Xiaomi has just teased on the official Twitter account that it will be soon unleashing a new series. Since it has already launched the Mi TV 4 in India, it is speculated that the Mi TV 4A series may arrive soon. It seems that the rumor may come true as 32-inch Mi TV 4A and another new Mi TV has been found listed on the official website.

The above image belongs to the temporary listing of 32-inch Mi TV 4A with Rs. 12,999 (~$200). The listing does not contain any images. It could be the very same 32-inch Mi TV that was launched in China last year in May.

It is expected to arrive with a 32-inch HD display that supports 1366 x 768 pixels, Amlogic T962 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of storage, MIUI skinned Android with PatchWall, 2 x 5W speaker, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 2 HDMI ports and ports for AV, Ethernet and USB 2.0.

The other listing shows a nameless Mi TV with a price tag of Rs. 21,999 (~$337). The source code of the webpage reveals that this mysterious product is 43-inch Mi 4A TV. Xiaomi had launched this smart TV alongside the 32-inch Mi TV 4A in May 2017.

Xiaomi Mi TV 4A May Release Soon in India to Disrupt Market with Cheaper Pricing

On Feb. 14, Xiaomi had launched its TV – the 55-inch Mi TV 4 in India. It met with an amazing response by the Indian audience as it was sold out in less than 10 seconds in its first sale. The second flash sale that was held at the end of last month had also met with same results. If that was not enough, Xiaomi is now prepping up to launch a new series of Mi TV in India. Last year, Xiaomi had launched the Mi TV 4 in China in multiple options like 49-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch. However, the company had released only the 55-inch model in India. In July, Xiaomi had launched 32-inch Mi TV 4A with a pricing of 1,099 Yuan (~$175, Rs. 11,300). Its priced was slashed to 999 Yuan (`$157, ~Rs. 10,200) few months ago. The 50-inch Mi TV 4A was unveiled with a pricing of 2,399 Yuan (~$378, ~Rs.24,600) this year in January.

Since Xiaomi has hinted that it is going to unveil a new series, it seems that it may debut the Mi TV 4A in India soon. If the company launches, it will certainly disrupt the Indian market with a pricing of around Rs. 20,000.

The Mi TV 4’s Rs. 39,999 pricing is around 25 times cheaper than a smart TV from Samsung in India. Moreover, it is even lower than TVs from Sanyo, Vu and CloudWalker that are selling with affordable pricing in the country. Apart from low pricing, Xiaomi is luring customers with free content of around 500 hours per month across different languages.

The Mi TV could have entered India around three years ago. However, since the company was busy striking deals with content providers, it took long for Mi TV to arrive in India, said Chuang Wang, the co-founder of Xiaomi and global head of Mi TV division with Xiaomi.

Huawei has confirmed that it will be launching the P20 family on March 27. Rumors have it that the Huawei P20 will come with stellar dual rear cameras whereas the P20 Plus/Pro may feature even better camera capabilities as it is pegged to feature triple-lens system. During a recent interview, Huawei CEO Richard Yu had said that, “We have some very big, bold, big innovation on camera technology. It will be much much better than all the phones.” This shows that the P20 and P20 Plus/Pro flagship phones will deliver unmatched photography experience. According to the aforementioned Weibo post, P20’s cameras will be driven by AI. Also, the teaser GIF shows that even in night, the P20 was able to capture the Eiffel Tower in all its glory.

Rumors have it that the P20 Plus/Pro’s triple camera setup will include 12-megapixel RGB sensor, a 16-megapiel monochrome sensor and a 16-megapixel telephoto lens. Other features include f/1.8 aperture and Optical Image Stabilization. The Huawei P20 may come with RGB + monochrome dual camera setup.

Both the phones are fueled by Kirin 970 and its NPU will make it possible to snap clearer photos in dim-light through AI. The P20 may feature a 5.7-inch display whereas the P20 Plus/Pro may house a larger screen of 6 inches. Both are expected to support FHD+ resolution.
