A fresh Geekbench listing SM-A307 Samsung phone has appeared today. It is speculated that the smartphone may debut as Galaxy A30s.

The SM-A307FN Samsung phone’s Geekbench listing has revealed that it is powered by Exynos 7885 chipset. The SoC is supported by 3 GB of RAM. In the single-core test, it has scored 1,322 points and it has recorded a score of 4,116 points in multi-core test.

The Galaxy A30 that was announced earlier this year has a model number of SM-A305. Its Geekbench listing shows that it is fueled by Exynos 7885 chipset, but the device had actually arrived with Exynos 7904. It appears that the Exynos 7904 is read as Exynos 7885. Hence, there is a possibility that the SM-A307FN model that has been spotted on Geekbench could be also featuring the Exynos 7904 SoC like the A30 model.

The alleged Galaxy A30s is supposed to arrive with some sort of improvements over the A30. Hence, readers will have to wait more to know more on the enhanced specs of the rumored Galaxy A30s. It could be slotted between the Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A40. Hence, it is likely to borrow some features from the Galaxy A40 smartphone. The A30s may debut within the third quarter of the year.

The SM-T27A tablet that was certified by Bluetooth SIG and Wi-Fi Alliance bodies in September 2018 was believed to be Galaxy View 2 tablet. However, Samsung has still not announced the device. Fresh renders of the Galaxy View 2 along with the key specs have surfaced today which indicates that its arrival could be close at hand.

The new leak reveals that the Galaxy View 2 will be arriving with a slight smaller display of 17.5 inches. Like the predecessor model, the View 2 will carry support for 1080p resolution. The new device seems to be sporting slightly reduced bezels than its predecessor.

Instead of a kickstand found on the original model, the upcoming Galaxy View 2 features a revamped hinged stand. This allows the tablet to be used in 30-degree tent mode. There is a big circular cutout on the stand which is probably present to conveniently hold and move the device.

The device is believed to be the Galaxy Tab A (2019), a successor to the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016).

The Geekbench result reveals the device runs Android 9. It is powered by the Exynos 7885 which is more powerful than the Exynos 7870 that powers the 2016 model.

The 7885 is also a 14nm chipset like the 7870 but it has 2 x Cortex A73 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and 6 x Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.6GHz. The Exynos 7870, on the other hand, has 4 x Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.6GHz and 4 x Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.0GHz. The 7885 also has a Mali-G71 MP2 as against the 7870’s Mali-T830 MP1.

There is 3GB of RAM and hopefully paired with 32GB of storage for the base model. The 2016 model, which I own, has 16GB of storage with 3GB of RAM. We hope there is a 64GB model too.

This model above is expected to come with a stylus as its model number starts with a P. Samsung tablets which have an S Pen usually have a “P” starting their model numbers.

The firmware for the phone is said to have been sported online about a month ago. Now that it has been seen on Geekbench, it is expected to launch soon.

Now, another mid-range phone seems to be on the way, this time the Galaxy A10 and it has been spotted on Geekbench.

Geekbench says the Galaxy A10 is powered by the Exynos 7885 which is technically a higher-clocked version of the Exynos 7904. Yeah, blame Samsung’s insane naming scheme. Also, do read our opinion of the Exynos 7904 here. However, there is a possibility it is actually the Exynos 7904 as benchmark apps are said to incorrectly identify the 7904 as the 7885 due to the similarities between them.

Even if the Galaxy A10 does come with the slightly more powerful Exynos 7885 processor, it might sell for less than the Galaxy M20 (at least this particular variant) as it has just 2GB of RAM compared to the M20 which has a base model with3GB RAM. There should be other RAM + storage configurations when it launches.

The Geekbench result also revealed the phone will run Android 9 Pie out of the box unlike the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 which both run Android 8.1 Oreo with Experience 9.5 on top.

The three phones are the Galaxy A90, Galaxy A70, and the Galaxy A50. Now a fourth model in the series, the Galaxy A40, has shown up on Geekbench along with some specs.

The device was benchmarked earlier today as the “samsung SM-A405FN”. It runs Android 9, has 4GB of RAM and is powered by the Exynos 7885 processor. This is the same chipset that will power the Galaxy M20 scheduled to launch on January 28.

Since the A-series is technically higher than the Galaxy M-series, the Galaxy A40 should come with some features that will make it a better buy than the Galaxy M20. So probably higher quality materials, a bigger battery and better cameras are the features we expect it to have.

The Galaxy A40 scored 1316 points in the single-core test and 3964 points in the multi-core test. Other than this Geekbench result, we do not know anything about the phone. However, we expect more details should surface in the coming weeks.

Rumors surrounding it have suggested that the Galaxy M phones will be aimed towards developing markets. The leaked specs of the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20v have already surfaced in recent reports. Some information on the Galaxy M30 phone that is expected to be packed with better specs than the M10 and M20 models have also appeared in the recent past. Today, the Galaxy M30 smartphone has surfaced on Geekbench to confirm on the processor that will be powering it.

The Samsung SM-M305F model number belongs to the upcoming Galaxy M30 smartphone. Its Geekbench appearance has revealed that it will be fueled by Exynos 7885 chipset and 4 GB of RAM. The handset is loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo OS. In the single-core and multi-core benchmarking tests of Geekbench, the SM-M305F Galaxy M30 has respectively scored 1327 and 4197 points.

Rumors surrounding the Galaxy M30 have revealed that it could be hitting the market in 64 GB and 128 GB storage versions. Hence, there is a possibility that the 4 GB RAM variant of the M30 could be equipped with 64 GB of internal storage. The higher 128 GB model of the phone may include 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.

The Samsung Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 are expected to go official in the first quarter of 2019. The Galaxy M20 is tipped to feature Infinity-U display which involves presence of a small u-shaped notch on the screen for the front-facing camera. There is a possibility that the Galaxy M30 may sport the same design as the Galaxy M20 handset. All the three rumored Galaxy M phones are expected to arrive in the market in colors like Dark Grey and Blue.

Other details of the Galaxy M30 are under the wraps. Samsung fans will have to wait for further leaks to confirm on its specs and features. Probably, the Galaxy M30 may get announced after the launch of the Galaxy M10 and M20 smartphones.

The Galaxy M is said to be the result of a merger of the Galaxy J, Galaxy On, and Galaxy C series. The first smartphone under the series, the Galaxy M20 has appeared on Geekbench.

The Galaxy M20 was benchmarked yesterday. It appears on the benchmark site as the “samsung SM-M205F”, running Android 8.1 Oreo and powered by an Exynos 7885 processor paired with 3GB of RAM.

The Exynos 7885 is a 14nm octa-core chipset with 2 Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and 6 Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.6GHz. It has a Mali-G71 MP2 GPU, Bluetooth 5.0, and support for LTE Cat. 12 3CA download and LTE Cat. 13 2CA upload speeds. On paper, the Exynos 7885 should offer better performance than the Snapdragon 630 and the Snapdragon 632 processors.

The benchmark result shows the Galaxy M20 scored 1319 points in the single-core test and 4074 points in the multi-core test. While the multi-core test score is similar to that of the Snapdragon 630 (Nokia 6.1 used to compare), the Exynos 7885 has a much higher single-core score.

[envira-gallery id=”224082″]

Its single-core score matches that of the Snapdragon 636 which should make the Galaxy M20 a direct competitor to the Redmi Note 5 (Pro), Redmi Note 6 Pro, and the Nokia 6.1 Plus.

There is no info on a release date for the phone and there is still a lot we don’t know about the phone save for the fact that it will come in 32GB and 64GB variants.

An industry insider from China has revealed the general design of the 2018 Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 phones.

The 2017 edition of Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 feature the same metal unibody design. However, these smartphones come in different sizes and varied specifications. The upcoming Galaxy A (2018) phones are also expected to sport the same design.

The above image reveals that the Galaxy A (2018) smartphones will be arriving with a single rear camera with fingerprint reader will be placed right under it. The fingerprint scanner appears to be small which suggests that it could be a repurposed Home button.

Like the predecessor phones, the Galaxy A (2018) handsets are expected to arrive with metal unibody chassis flanked with rounded corners and curved edges. Some rumors hint that Samsung may use curved glass panel on the backside of the Galaxy A (2018) phones.

The above image resembles with the following renders of the cases of Galaxy A5 and A7. These images suggest that the rumored Bixby button is placed on the left side of the A5 and A7.

In July, the rumor mill had revealed that Samsung is developing new chipsets like Exynos 7885 (14nm) and Exynos 9610 (10nm). Speculations are rife that these new chipsets will be unveiled before the end of the year.

The leaked specifications of both the chipsets have revealed that the Exynos 9610 is more powerful and is capable of delivering a performance that is similar to Exynos 8895 that powers flagship phones like Galaxy S8 duo and Galaxy Note 8. The new mid-range chipsets from Samsung are expected to deliver a performance that is similar to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset.

Previous reports have revealed that the Exynos 9610 is a 64-bit octa-core chipset that features four cores of ARM Cortex A73 working at 2.4 GHz and another four cores of the power-efficient Cortex A53 whose processing speed is not available.
