Xiaomi launched its Black Shark 2 gaming smartphone, Asus is here with its ROG gaming smartphone and Razer Phone 2 has also been announced. Now, Nubia is readying its 2nd generation Red Magic 2 smartphone with some extraordinary features. Today, Red Magic took to Weibo and teased its dual cooling system. Interestingly, it will pack both air and liquid cooling system to keep it cool even during extensive gaming usage.

Now, it would be interesting to see the pricing and battery capacity details of the device. Its 10 GB RAM will help the device to unleash the full gaming experience. Further, there will be a 3D surround sound and 4D shock features. The Red Magic 2 has a single rear camera with a hexagonal LED flash. As like of other gaming smartphones, it will also feature LED lights. As per earlier teasers and reports, it will carry a horizontal blue LED RGB light bar.

The 4D shock technology is still uncovered, but we expect that it would carry dual vibration motors to give users another dimension of feeling. These shocks or vibrations will give users additional feedback while playing games. In other words, we can say it’s a PS4 like Haptic feedback feature which might make a debut under the 4D shock technology.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Mobile (PUBG Mobile) has received a content update, which is now available for download on the App Store and Google Play store. The new 0.9.0 update delivers both tricks and treats to the more than 20 million daily active PUBG MOBILE players, with an all-new night mode on the Erangel map, as well as Halloween-themed in-game content, including new weapons and vehicles, balancing improvements and more.

The update comes just a month after the introduction of the rugged and dense Sanhok map as Tencent Games and PUBG Corp continues to amplify and enhance the gaming experience with new features. It includes:

Night Mode: Classic Mode in Erangel will now alternate between day and night, and players can loot for Night Vision Goggles.

PUBG Mobile recently crossed its latest milestone with over 100 million installs on the Google Play store. It achieved the 100 million download mark on Android in just four months while downloads in China from the Google Play Store are not included in this figure.

According to the data from SensorTower, thanks to the game’s availability on Android, PUBG Mobile dominates Asia and China while the US is making up about 30 percent of the revenue. Also, the company is active in bringing new features to the game and is well-optimised to even run on low-end devices.

Most of the products released under the Mi brand is not all manufactured by Xiaomi. In most cases, they are manufactured by third-party companies that are part of the Xiaomi ecosystem. One such product is the popular Mi Band models that were manufactured by Huami technologies. Another clear example is the Mi Laser Projector. The product is manufactured by Fengmi (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. The company recently launched its own branded laser projector that is dubbed Wemax One. The product has now been listed on Xiaomi Youpin for sale in China with a hefty 12990 yuan ($1870) price tag. In case you are at a loss why the price is so high, it is because the Wemax One is bundled with a subwoofer called Wemax S1.

The Wemax One laser projector is available in a basic version and a professional version with varying prices. The basic version with the Wemax S1 subwoofer is priced at 12,999 yuan ($1870). There is a Wemax One professional version which is bundled with anti-glare projector screen with a higher 16,999 yuan ($2446) price tag. Finally, the complete package comprising the laser projector, the Wemax S1 subwoofer and the projector screen costs 17,999 yuan (around $2590).

The Xiaomi Wemax One Laser Projector is very similar to the Mi Laser Projector in terms of design and most of the features. However, instead of 5000 Lumen, the light source brightness on the Wemax One can reach up to 7000 lumens which is of theater screen level. The actual display brightness is 1688 ANSI Lumens which is still impressive. The laser projector uses an advanced laser fluorescence display technology (ALPD 3.0) with a shelf life of 25,000 hours which translates to up to 34 years usage if the projector is used for 2 hours daily. A daily usage of up to 4 hours can still guarantee up to 17 years of usage, meaning the laser is ultra-durable and long lasting. The projector’s two core technologies are the light source technology manufactured by the Light Peak photoelectric company while the imaging technology chip in use was made by Texas Instruments and Guangfeng photoelectric custom R&D.

The new Wemax One Laser projector is capable of displaying up to a maximum of 150 inches with 1920 x 1080p resolution. The projector provides a red light ratio of 16% to 18%, wide color gamut, color quasi, with contrast comparable to the laser studio 3000: 1 screen contrast. The projector also diffuses its direct light source, allowing for more eye protection. The sound quality is also of high quality, and with the Wemax S1 subwoofer, it couldn’t be any better. Thus, the Wemax One can indeed provide theatre-level audio-visuals right in the comfort of the sitting room.

The new laser projector is already available outside China via e-retailers like GearBest but the Wemax S1 subwoofer is yet get listed.

Today, Huawei announced that it will be releasing the latest EMUI 9.0 user interface based on Android 9 Pie for three Honor devices — Honor Play, Honor 10 GT, and Honor V10. However, the update will currently be limited to only 20,000 users.

To get a hold of this new update, the users can go to the “Member Service” and click on “Service” and select the “Upgrade Early Adoption” option. There, click on the “One-Click Upgrade” and you’ll be among the first ones to try the new update.

The new EMUI 9.0 update brings various new changes along with all the features of Android 9.0 Pie. The customised skin comes with plenty of bug fixes and enhancements over the EMUI 8.0. The new UI is better optimised for full view displays and carries additional AI based features.

It also brings the Computer Mode Version 2.0, wireless universal screen projection through Miracast, one-click screen capture, and HuaweiShare for faster file transfers, among others. There is also a new password manager capable of auto-filling passwords using ID verification from the fingerprint scanner or via facial recognition.

The settings menu has also been trimmed down by 10 percent. It also comes with GPU Turbo 2.0 which reduces the touch response of the phone by 36 percent and adds a new app assistant. This new GPU 2.0 feature will support four more games: Vainglory, Arena of Valor, Rules of Survival, and NBA 2K18, in addition to PUBG and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

Thanks to Android Pie, it also gets navigation gestures. Android Pie also has a new feature called Adaptive Battery which uses machine learning to improve power management.

For the second batch of EMUI 9.0 update, along with Honor smartphone, the company also plans to roll out the update to six Huawei smartphone, including Huawei Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, Mate 10 Porsche Edition, Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, and Mate RS Porsche Edition.

The 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage edition of the Xiaomi Mi A2 has been available for purchase in India since August. The higher version of the phone featuring 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage was spotted on Xiaomi India’s website and Mi Store yesterday with a pricing of Rs. 19,999 (~$273). However, the handset was not available for purchase. Starting from 12 PM today, the new variant will be available for purchase exclusively through Amazon India. What’s exciting about this new model is that it has landed with a reduced price tag of Rs. 17,999 (~$245).

During the launch of the Xiaomi Mi A2 Android One smartphone in India, the company had stated that its 6 GB RAM + 128 GB model will arrive with a pricing of Rs. 19,999 (~$273). However, soon after unveiling the Mi A2, the Chinese manufacturer also announced the budget-friendly Poco F1 flagship phone with a starting price of Rs. 20,999 (~$286) for its 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage.

The official tweet that confirms the arrival of the new variant of Mi A2 reveals that its Rs. 17,999 is an introductory price for limited period. Oppo A3s, which was launched in India in July this year, has now received a price cut of Rs. 1,000. The phone, which was earlier priced at Rs. 10,990 (approximately $150), is now available for Rs. 9,990 (approximately $136).

Last month, the company also launched the 3GB RAM model of the phone for Rs. 13,990 (approximately $191). However, the price cut is applicable only for the 2GB RAM model and not the 3GB RAM model.

The smartphone comes with a 6.2-inch HD+ FullView display with 1520 x 720 pixels screen resolution, 2.5D curved glass and 19:9 aspect ratio. The display also comes with a notch and offers 88.8 percent screen-to-body ratio.

Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor clocked at 1.8GHz along with Adreno 506 GPU. For comparison, the Oppo A3 is powered by MediaTek‘s octa-core Helio P60 chipset. The device packs 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, along with a microSD card slot that can be used to further expand the phone’s storage capacity up to 256GB.

Vivo Go is an upcoming smartphone from BLU Products. It could be arriving as the first smartphone ever to feature Go edition of Android 9 Pie OS. The smartphone is expected to arrive in the U.S. with a pricing of $89. Customers who order it are expected to receive a pair of free earbuds.
