DJI has confirmed that it will hold a new press conference on August 23. This conference was expected to be held on July 18, but the company has decided to delay it, and now the moment has finally come. It will not be a normal event, and according to a company’s post on Instagram, this conference will be the most important conference of the year, that means the most important product of the year may be announced.

It is kind of confirmed that we will finally see the new Mavic Pro 2 quadcopter. But given what the company said, people is also speculating that the Chinese-based giant will decide to showcase the Phantom 5, likely its best flagship-level drone. DJI has also published a video on YouTube where we can read “See the Bigger Picture” and “Now, get ready for the next chapter”.
According to some images surfaced, the Mavic Pro 2 should finally boast a modular camera, as well as a 360-degrees system which will be used to avoid obstacles. The drone will be equipped with a 1-inch CMOS sensor with Hasselblad optics and it will be able to do a 2x optical zoom (24 mm – 48 mm in detail). Prices may start from £769.
