It has not been too long since Vimoo released the V6 but that has not stopped them from preparing their next release. Recently, they revealed the Vimoo Z5 which looks better than the V6.
The Vimoo Z5 certainly has a better-looking design than the V6. As the photos below show, the front side looks the same as any other cellphone’s but its round “Home” button is definitely more eye-catching. The rear case is covered by hard glass, basically following a double-glass design. Readers can also see that there is a SIM card slot in the middle frame. The rear case is not detachable. It is a pretty slim phone, measuring only 7.5mm.
Like V6, the Vimoo Z5 is also a 4G phone. Its processor is the MTK MT6582 quad-core chipset while its baseband chip is the MT6290. It might use China Mobile (TD-LTE/TD-SCDMA-supported). It sports a 5.5-inch IPS screen with HD resolution and has a 5mp/8mp Sony dual-camera. Its operating system is the Android 4.4.
The Vimoo Z5 is slated to come out in September and will probably be more expensive than the V6 which is 1299 RMB (210.95 USD).
Recently, Zopo has been carrying out an advertising campaign for a new cell phone called, the “Zopo Xiaomo X.” The “Zoppo Xiaomo 3” is actually a better term. The name “Xiaomo III” has already appeared at Zopo’s Weibo account. Since it has been almost a year since the Xiaomo 2 first came out, the Xiaomo 3 should come out this year. Although a Xiaomo 2 and 2X will come out, there won’t be a lot of changes. Therefore, the “Xiamo X” is most definitely the “Xiaomo 3.”
Zopo seems to be keeping a tight lid over the Xiaomo 3’s specs. They did confirm that it would be a flagship phone and that basic components may be included such as 4G internet. Considering Zopo’s other products, it will likely use a processor from MTK.
An insider also leaked some other information about the Xiaomo 3. For example, although it may use a 2K screen, it might not have Quad HD resolution.
The Lenovo A916, A806, and A606, will use LTE processors from MTK that will provide them with access to 4G internet. Recently, their prices were announced.
The A806 has already been released in online stores where it costs 898 RMB (281.20 USD) but its market cost is 998 RMB (312.51 USD) while the China Unicom version costs 1199 RMB (375.45 USD). It sports a 5-inch FWVGA screen and uses the MT6582 quad-core chip. It also has 512M RAM and 4GB ROM. The A606, an entry-level phone, only costs 799 RMB (250.20 USD).
Out of the three phones, the A916 is the one most people are looking forward to. It sports a 5.5-inch HD screen. It will definitely use an octa-core LTE processor from MTK. Some say it will be the MT6595 but according to analysts, it is most likely going to be the MT6592M (1.4GHz) which is 4G-supported (FDD-LTE, TD-LTE) and offers 42M HSPA and high-speed internet. It also supports dual-SIM card.
The A916 also sports a 3mp/13mp camera with an LED light. Its OS is the kitkat-based Vibe UI2.0. It will cost 1199 RMB.
Both the A916 and A606 will hit the market on this month.
With the release date of the Coolpad Dashen F2 revealed a while ago, it was only a matter of time until the price was announced. According to Boshuma, like the F1, the Dashen F2 will cost 888 RMB. It had been announced that the launch for the F2 will take place on August 26 and that users may start pre-ordering the next day. Those who do may get them on September 2.
Coolpad has expressed great confidence on the F2 with the following written on the invitation. “Say no to mediocrity!” It certainly has a better-looking design than the F1. It has a round case, slim body, and a narrow frame. It also sports a round HOME button and comes in many colors.
Regarding the F2’s specs, many speculate that it will use the MT6592 and MT6290, support TD-LTE and dual-SIM, have 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM, and a 5.5-inch HD screen. Many also believe that it will sport a 5mp/13mp camera which is not bad.
Only four days left until Xiaomi formally launches the MIUI 6 and the China Unicom and China Telecom versions of the Mi 3 and Mi 4 will be the first to be used for its beta tests. Not a lot has been revealed so far about the MIUI 6, only that it may have an immersive status bar and flat icons.
Last night, a snapshot of what is purportedly the MIUI 6 was leaked online. This is most definitely the beta version (MIUI 4.16.1). The photo shows that flat icons and status bar have become a standard configuration for the MIUI 6 and that the status bar at the top is now immersive. The MIUI 6’s UI is so different from the latest MIUI V5 that it is barely recognizable.

A few days ago, sign-ups for participation in the MIUI 6’s beta tests started. Unfortunately, only the China Unicom and China Telecom versions of the Mi 3 and Mi 4 will be used. Many users flooded MIUI’s forums and Weibo account complaining that they “abandoning” their old users by not including Mi 2/2S as well as the Mi 3 China Mobile Edition. Some even went as far as accusing Xiaomi of not letting the Mi 2/2S and Mi 3 China Mobile Edition support the MIUI 6.
In response to these claims, MIUI published a statement in their forums saying that they will not test the Mi 2/2S first due to having a limited number of developers and they will gradually do beta tests using other phones as well. In other words, the OS of the Mi 2/2S could definitely be upgraded to MIUI 6. It is just a matter of time.
Furthermore, MIUI said that they will announce plans to test other phones on August 16.
In my opinion, OPPO Find 7 is still flagship smartphone killer so far, it’s first phone with 5.5-inch 2K screen, and a amazing camera which can get 50-megapixel pictures. This phone also come with new fast-charging technology, bring better experience on battery although it’s a short block on smartphone’s field. Oppomart is one of OPPO online resellers, and they provide a FREE Easy Cover for each OPPO Find 7 buyer.
Early this year, MediaTek signed an agreement with Via Telecom and was given rights to the CDMA2000 allowing them to make processors that support 2G, 3G, and 4G networks. So, when will the first MTK chip that supports all these networks come out?
Analyst, Bo Jiutang, recently revealed that MTK’s first 2G/3G/4G chipset called the MTK6735 (EVDO-supported) will come out later this year. Based on the name, this does not sound like a high-rangking processor. The Snapdragon 400 and 410 will just be imaginary rivals for it. It should support four Cortex-A53 cores and its GPU might be the Mali-T760.
There are two small speakers at the bottom of the tablet. At first, I thought that it really only had one speaker and that the second speaker was just to make the tablet look prettier, but when I turned it on, both speakers let out a loud sound.
This tablet supports China Unicom 3G and China Mobile 2G.
Here’s its benchmark score. Can anyone guess what processor its using?
As the table below shows, its processor is the MT6592.
The tablet’s compass is good while it’s gyroscope sucks! Actually, since there are not a lot of games that use gyroscopes, I could really care less.
Let’s talk about the K100’s screen. This tablet sports a 10.1-inch screen with 1200p resolution and dpi240 which is just so-so.
A photo of the venue for the launch of Meizu’s newest phone was posted in Meizu’s forum today. The photo shows that the launch may take place in the IBOBI Center in Shenzhen, not in Beijing like last year. There is no official confirmation on whether or not it will take place in Shenzhen. Readers can clearly see a “4” written on the wall by the door and that they are still setting the place up. We can expect some updates about the MX4 soon.
This morning, a snapshot of what appears to be the venue for the launch of the Meizu MX4 was leaked online. It looks like the launch will be held at the IBOBI Center in Shenzhou, not at the Beijing National Aquatics Center in Beijijng. The launch is slated to take place on September 3 although there has not been any confirmation on the venue. This photo is not really that credible considering the fact that it is still too early for them to announce the venue.
Furthermore, some information has been revealed on the MX4’s screen panel. Although, right now, we cannot confirm its veracity, it certainly has more credibility. Based on the photo, it looks like the Meizu MX4 will continue to use the MX3’s design but with a narrower frame (about 1.1mm).
Finally, the MX4 will continue to use a round-shaped Home button but this time, it can scan and recognize fingerprints. There will not be any big changes on the front side but Meizu will use a completely new design for the back. It is rumored that it will sport a 5.4-inch 2K screen and an 8mp/20.7mp camera, and will run on the Samsung Exynos octa-core chipset. It is also said to have 3GB RAM and the Flyme 4.0 as its OS.
